Thank you for being an inspiration to our students as many take their first steps onto the stage today. Please stand as you are able one more time so we may recognize you. Several students shared with me that they have veteran family members who cannot be with us today. Please join me in a moment of silence to recognize them. >> Thank you. Our third and fourth graders have one more song to present to you today. It is one of the first songs that I knew that we would sing because of the way that it celebrates America and all of its people. I learned this song when I was in elementary

011school and while writing these notes asked family members and childhood friends what event we had learned it for but no one could remember. They did however remember practicing it together and I hope that many years in the future students will think back and remember the joy that they had while singing together even if they do not remember why they sang for you today.
