You good? What was that? We're going to get started now. Are you Can you hear us okay? Yes, I can hear you. All right. If If If everyone can actually get close to the microphone, I I'm sure I'll be able to hear everyone. No Nobody's pushed the button yet. That's why you can't hear anybody else. I I It's okay. I know. Okay. Let's do the Pledge of Allegiance. Can we get started? Thank you everybody for your patience. Can we do Pledge of Allegiance? So, you want to do that? I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United

States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Please remain >> standing for a moment of silence. As always, I like to remember our servicemen and women here and overseas, especially with all the conflicts going on, and especially our graduates. Thank you. Sue, can you do the roll call? This is the roll call for presents. Ms. Farris, Farris. Yes. Ms. Disla. Present. Mr. Jones. Yes. Mr. Mejia. Present. Mr. Mercedes. Present. Thank you. >> Mr. Tarbox. Here. Mr. Haydem. Yes. Okay. Um at this time I'd like to uh get a motion to change the agenda. There are two items that have been removed from it. The job postings have been removed and the executive session has been removed. Um I would like to

move up the purchasing of the hanger before we do the reorganization, please. Can I get a motion for that? Second. Motion and seconded. Any discussions on that? Um Mr. Mejia and Mr. Jones. Call the vote, please. Mr. Tarbox. Ms. Farris. Yes. Ms. Disla. Mr. Jones. >> Yes. Mr. Mejia. Yes. Mr. Mr. Mercedes. Yes. And Mr. Haydem. Yes. Okay, Mr. Superintendent. >> Attorney would you handle the purchasing of the hanger? Okay, so uh I asked Mr. Haydem to put this on the agenda. The committee voted on it at one point, but it wasn't clear in the minutes. So, I felt like it was important to have the committee re-vote purchasing of the hanger at at the Lawrence Municipal Airport. We're purchasing it from Bob Davis for 975,000. It's coming out of our E&D account uh which

will be moved that money will be moved into our capital improvement account uh, after it's voted on at all our city and town meetings. Uh, so, but I would like to have the committee re-approve the purchasing of the hangar for $975,000. So, it can be uh, noted in the minutes clearly. And also the 75,000 from the Uh, so So, what we would be Well, all that money would be coming The whole 975 would be coming from capital improvement because we're going to move once the E&D money's been approved uh, to be go into capital improvement at our town meetings and our city me city meetings as well, approval of our budget cuz it's got to be part of the budget approval, then we'll be able to take it from our capital improvement money, which is

a total of $975 coming out of capital improvement. So, I just need a um, a motion to approve that. We already have that approved, Mr. Lavoy. You were going to ask for a 75,000 extra that we went to the capital improvement and we Okay, so we had 900 approved, but it was actually 975, so we have to have another 75 approved. So, all you're approving is 75 an additional 75,000. And this has already been brought to the attention of the capital improvement committee, Mr. Jones and myself and a few other people to bring before you. Now, can we have a motion on the extra 75,000 dollars? I'll make the motion with discussion. Discussion? So, the 75,000, what's what was the purpose of approving the additional money? It was extra money. The money was more than

what we originally voted for. Yeah, so >> We were 75,000 in the hole. Capital Improvement Committee decided that we would give them the $75,000 extra. And it would be returned to us once the grant came through. Yeah. >> So, we're just tying up the money. Yeah, so I can explain a little bit. So, initially we had offered 900,000. He got an offer for more than that, 950. So, in order for us to get the hangar, we had to go a little bit higher. So, that's why why the additional 75,000 that we need to in order to get the hangar. City has approved it for 975. Um, and that's what they're purchasing it for. On our behalf. And this is the City of Lawrence. Yeah, City of Lawrence. And they are aware of the number of

the numbers. Okay. And they are We're just waiting for the At this time, I think the only thing is we're waiting for the attorney to do the paperwork to actually do the purchase with the owner. They've all the paperwork requests that they've had have asked for has been given to them at this point as far as I'm aware. Uh, everything um that's necessary to um pass all the paper purchase and sale. And when were you notified of this? That you had to go over the offer. Oh, that was been a long time ago. We right after we did the 900,000. Okay. So, I mean, you notice this now or is this just I coincidence? Yeah, I at the time didn't So, that's why when we looked at the minutes, I didn't realize we hadn't brought

it back to the committee after that and uh negotiations until when we looked at the minutes recently. Okay, thank you. Mr. Jones being on the committee, you have anything to add to this?
