002and it's an amazing recipe but i'm not sharing the recipe with you so uh we are going to show you how we ice them though so so do your best maybe in the future um but so for icing people i did see some uh people make a comment the icing that i use is i use uh powdered sugar and um vanilla vanilla extract and milk and just a little bit you you put in the powdered sugar and it's just amazing how quickly it ends up it is already absorbing yeah so and now it's already starting to set too so that's all we do yep do you want to go ahead and do that and are we going to paint some cookies [Laughter] on camera okay so did you want me to ice the ones that

008like that comes up a lot okay um at oh man condor snipe what is the best dad advice you've ever gotten nah i mean and i share this with a lot of people over the years is um i don't know that i hadn't necessarily got it but i just kind of picked up on it was cherishing the moments when when you have them because they're so uh yeah they're they're here and they're gone right i mean you were i was holding you at the hospital and here you are here i am i mean the time goes by like that and so think think long term i think thinking long term that's in a lot of the interviews that i've had they asked me and i think probably one of the biggest things i would say

011i got you i just was picturing like you every day that's the best part of my day i'm waking up morning it's a new day uh um so i'm one of eight kids and i'm number seven and i have two brothers just above me um and my brother joe would always get up at four in the morning at christmas and come and wake don and i up and we'd we we slept downstairs and we run upstairs to check out the gifts so that was pretty fun that is um and then i i was telling you this memory which i think is really cool my uh my oldest sister mary um she's 12 years older than me and i remember i don't know if she remembers this or not but i remember i was probably eight
012or so and i remember it had snowed and a lot of people had put up christmas lights and i remember her asking me to go for a walk with her just around the block and i remember as a kid thinking what's the purpose of not even doing that we weren't really going anywhere we were just going for a walk and just enjoying the beauty and i think that's the first time i remember actually doing something just for just enjoying the moment you know and as you get older it's important to stop and smell the roses because they're gone they're gone so quick so anyway nice yeah um and then that same so jbz also asked what's your favorite memory for when kyle and i were little waking you guys up funny you guys okay i
013think kyle and i would stay up like no okay i don't know yeah i liked waking you guys up and spending time with you guys and um snow days you know snow days i made sure i i called in and i would get grief from work uh for that but i think again you know the time is so short you got to take advantage of those opportunities and even if people when i came into work ah you could have made it in yeah i could have made it in but i don't want to hang out with my kiddos so yeah i made sure to do that nice i saw someone on the chat ask um what is your favorite holiday dish earlier food that's on the table ah i don't know i like a lot
014of dishes i like ham i like mashed potatoes i like uh even green bean casserole i was thinking to show how to make that because it's a fairly easy thing to make um if you don't know how to cook and you got to show up at a party uh yeah it's a it's a fairly simple dish to make are christmas dishes and thanksgiving is there really a difference between thanksgiving or christmas dishes not in our house i think i don't know no i it would be nice to know this is officially a christmas dish this is officially a thanksgiving dish boop they just we kind of blended them yeah no most people do you guys blend your thanksgiving christmas all that dishes um wanting to learn how to make the green bean casserole we'll do

028christmas dad joke that's okay i used them all up all gone from this year i'm looking for childhood traditions that you did as a kid i guess you already talked about that the traditions oh i i do gotta share it kind of a funny story so we used to go to midnight mass and you know i know this and uh yeah as a kid you know you're excited about about christmas and we would stay up late and we're sitting there and we had to make it to midnight now so in order to get a seat you'd have to go there you know two hours early and so i'm already sitting there tired bored doing anything i can with my brothers and stuff and i'm sitting there and i remember my head just i couldn't keep
029my and you know kept falling back and hitting the pew and it would echo throughout the church so anyway that's not that's not a fond memory but it is a memory yeah is that a tradition yeah now i do yeah now i make sure to do that now nice let's see um oh yeah why did you create this channel someone asked that here and then that was also on instagram oh okay yeah um you've shared i've shared this a lot before but yeah i you know i want to be able to empower people i i you know i think uh what can might seem to seem intimidating um you know if you if you try it then maybe you you know you conquer that and then you can go on and do bigger and better
030things um and i also wanted you know i was trying to create a resource uh that i could have used when i was younger um and i thought it'd be kind of a one-stop shop where you could come and learn how to tie a tie but also learn some stuff around the house and stuff you know on your car and then we are gonna go camping you know that's coming we're gonna go camping we're gonna go fishing uh got lots of lots of cool things happening in the new year i just can't tell you yeah so but anyway so there are some cool things that are right around the corner yeah cool was that two questions think we're good i think that's good yeah awesome um we want to be respectful of your time you

032the years i just learned to you know try to try to not get too high and not get too low because it's temporary you know uh life life tends to work that way where it's temporary and you know you get through it although this year this temporary thing has lasted a long time so i think we're all ready to move on right for sure well that and you also mentioned like during the holidays to keeping traditions going even if you might not feel like it like it's doing something really small even like putting on a hat yeah i think it is important to you know try to keep those traditions going i think it's important when you were little we always got our christmas tree the day after thanksgiving and you know sometimes you might
033not feel like it but you know um pretty soon you get closer and closer to christmas and then you never did anything and then you just treat it like another day i think it's important to stop and smell the roses along the way right make sure as you go through the year kind of breaks up the year and you got something to look forward to and something to look forward to and yeah yeah i think that's important cool so awesome maybe a baby next year no no not for you that's not for me all right what are you saying huh it was no not you oh come on i wasn't saying that on that note i think that's about it christmas yeah our heart goes out to you yeah merry christmas i hope everybody's doing
