Chris, please conduct the board roll call. Director Farid. Here. Director Shockett. Here. Director Wierzchicki. Here. Director Weiss. Here. Moving on to approval agenda. Board members have an agenda in front before you. At this time, we'll take any comments or amendments to the current agenda. Any first? None. I'm sorry. We're good? Yeah. Seeing none, is there a motion to approve the current agenda? I move to approve
the current agenda. I second. We have a motion and a second. Chris, please conduct the board roll call. Director Farid. Aye. Director Shockett. Aye. Director Wierzchicki. Aye. Director Weiss. Aye. All eyes agree the vote. Agenda is approved. Moving on to agenda item two, discussion items. Agenda item 2.1, HYA presentation on interview and selection evaluation techniques. Thank you. Uh welcome everybody. Um so, real quickly, um you have all of the questions in front of you. Um we will go round robin, um and each question is labeled by board member. Um I have instructed all of the candidates that they need to manage their time. Uh Stacy will remind them that they have 45 minutes, and I said that is about three to four questions each, um and if they run out of time, we just won't
continue with the questions that are left. We do want to have about um I don't know, 5 or 6 minutes left of their 45 minutes for them to ask a question or two. Um those are all always quite telling. Um the uh the candidates um have also been told that um Dave will um be on the screen, so they will see his logo, but they won't see his face, and he'll have his audio turned off as well. Um let's see what else did I want to tell you guys? Um Do you guys have any questions about the questions that are allowable? I believe that your HR department um gave you um instruction on um on not asking anything outside of the script. Is that right? Yeah. Kim Everyone should have received an email from Kimora's.
>> Yeah. Okay. So So we're all good there. So sorry to say in there then, too. I know we have this question. If their answer can we ask a follow-up question, or do we want to stick to the script to keep >> On on this I would say on this round of of six or five that we stick with the script, um and let them expound or not, depending on where they want to go with it. Okay. Um and we'll have another conversation about the final three about um some allowances for follow-up questions within the script. >> Okay. So Um the other thing is that um today is not about choosing the next superintendent. Today is about naming the finalists, depending on how you guys feel about about the five that we're interviewing. So don't
worry about oh, I want this person. You have to set that aside. You have to set aside um everything, uh any biases that you may or may not have related to their paperwork or related to our selection of the slate. Put all that aside now, because now this is a different round. And we're really looking, if you think about it in terms of we're really looking to eliminate two. I mean, that might sound harsh, but that's really where we're at in the process is um we want three to go forward. Um, you know, in a perfect world, it could be two, could be four, whatever you guys decide, but really we're looking for that sweet spot of three for the finalists. Um, I do have a document there that will help us um, uh, go
through a process. Um, we'll get more into it um, when we're done with our our first two candidates and it's really a head-to-head competition on each one of the candidates against every other competition. It's a very simple form to use um, and we'll talk through that after we're done with two interviews. Um, when we get to the head-to-head competition. You're circling the winner each time. Um, and then we'll we'll go through the the end of that um, and tally up all that. That will be a spot for us to start our conversation. Okay? Um, are there any questions about that? I'm sorry, I moved on to second agenda second second item, the Delphi. Sorry. No, you're fine. I put it together. You could do that. Okay. All right. So, thanks you. Yeah, exactly. I just
keep going. Um, do you guys have any questions about today? I'm done. No, on the they can't ask those questions, right? We're just going to This is answering your question. >> No, not until the very end. We're going to try We're going to have We're going to monitor time so that um, when they're at about 40 minutes regardless of which question we're on um, and I've I've told them like you need to manage your time. This is how much time you have. Um, then they're going to ask a question or two. They usually will ask one or two questions. It'll just give you a sense of of what they're interested into, which is valuable information for you guys. All right. Any other things? Talk about process? Okay. All right then, what I'm going to do
is we're going to shift over to Google. Um we're going to but we have to go into executive session first and then we'll unplug and do some gyrations here. We'll figure out if it works. So um I'll stop talking. Dave, we're going to shift over. We'll see on Google.
