0011 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Is there anyone to speak to us? Yes, we have one Miss Hammons. Hi Caroline Himmans. This person does not know that I was going to say this on and ask this on his behalf. 2 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) But it has meant a lot to me. I wanted to ask the district to consider making the energy manager position a more permanent role instead of one that depends on grant funding. Since Grant has been in this role, he's really shown how valuable the position can be for our district. 3 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) He has helped the district to see significant energy savings by closing, closely monitoring improving how we use energy in our buildings. Beyond the savings, he's also helped bring education into our schools by teaching students and staff
002about energy conservation and how small changes can make a big difference. 4 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That kind of awareness is important for our students as they grow up in a world where energy and sustainability are becoming more and more important. He's also played a role in helping the district move forward with projects like thermal and solar initiatives. He's also worked to steer grants that have brought real benefits to our district. 5 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Including helping us receive an electric bus and the charging stations that will cost to us. When you When you look at the savings, the educational opportunities and the grants, he has helped bring in, it really shows the long term value of having someone dedicated to this work. 6 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) With energy costs continuing to change
003and new technology is emerging, I believe this is a role that could continue to benefit the district for years to come. So I just wanted to ask the board to consider whether making this position permanent. 7 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Might be something worth exploring moving forward. If it's not possible, then how will all these gains and this work continue? Thank you for all that you do and the time that you gave me to speak. Thank you. Thank you. 8 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Okay, so we'll move on to presentations and the 1st one will be from the school counseling department. Got it. Good evening. My name is Jennifer. I'm the director of special Ed and instructional services. As part of my role I oversee at our school counseling department, which I bought brought to
004majority of this evening. So 1st. 9 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We'll introduce everybody. 10 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Middle school, we have the Sherry Toe been with us for for a long time. We have Glorie Young at the high school 1112 and then traced over at 09:10. We also have Juliana Basino who's actually a contractor with us through family counseling center who's been tremendous. She could not be here tonight due to a family emergency, but we'll go over all of the roles. 11 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Of our staff. 12 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So as we start with everything, our work ties directly to our vision, mission and values, and looking at our mission, everything we do with relationship based, we're building those skills, those social emotional skills. We're looking at individual skill development
005for our students, academic with ties to academic achievement. 13 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That goes right along with what their interests are, talents and passions. 14 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We also are building up students self awareness culturally, and social awareness as well. So that we're all building all of these components in many different ways. Each of one of our counselors wears multiple hats and we'll talk about how each of those plays out. So our counseling progression. So obviously at the elementary level, we're working on a lot of those. 15 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Basic foundational, social emotional skills, emotional regulations, how to stay calm, how to interact appropriately with their peers. 16 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We builded some of the academic support, we're working on executive functioning skills, e.g., how to stay organized,
006how to know where your stuff is, how to put your things away appropriately so that you can learn best. We're also trying to build and foster that positive learning environment for our young students so they're passionate about education. 17 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) At the middle school level, we are now navigating that world of adolescence, which is always fun. We're working more on building their self advocacy skills, helping them hone what their talents are and their passions, so that will lead into the high school level where we're building and searching for schedules for our students that focus on their interests, that help them. 18 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Determine what they want to do in the future. So sometimes it could be they find exactly what they want to do and other times they go,
007this is exactly what I do want to do. So giving them those opportunities to explore all those different options. And then we have our college and career readiness when we're looking at more of our 11th and 12th grade. How do we help students access college. 19 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Programs, whether it be through just filling out applications, filling out faster forms, all that fun stuff. 20 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) As well as, you know, getting into a tech school or finding internships or diving right into the works force. So these are all the component components that each of our staff, our counseling staff bring to the table each and every day just at the different levels. 21 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So there's three areas that we would break down with our work in
008school counseling. We have the social emotional learning. We're doing a lot of that work for a conscious discipline and restoring practices, but we also are building individual skills with students and kind of highlighting the areas that students need a little bit more support so that they can be successful in our learning environment and later in life. We're also looking. 22 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) My career guidance. We're doing a lot of that work at the middle school level. That's where we're starting a lot of that work to help prepare them for the future utilizing our academic supports. So how are we moving, how are we taking a child's interest in a career for the future and how are we. 23 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Guiding that work with their at the secondary level. All right,
009you're good yes, thank you. So again, Juliana couldn't be here tonight, but the one area that she focuses on and hones in on the most that's then carried out by our team back here is that social emotional. 24 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Learning and those skills. We have an entire social emotional curriculum that we, we used K through twelve. 25 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Some of this is rolled out within our classrooms. They will do this either through restortive circles or they will do that work in their morning meetings as a class. Our counselors push in as well into the classroom. Sometimes it's because the classroom is saying, hey, we need some support, whether it be bullying or speaking respectfully to peers. We might have issues. 26 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) With problem solving or
010the executive those executive functioning skills. So we have three different tiers that we're focusing on for our kids. Tier one is that whole group classroom. Each of our classrooms receive targeted instruction four times a year in various social emotional levels depending on their, on their grade. 27 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) From there we have students that are targeting for additional support and we'll do small group counseling sessions with them and everything goes back to skill building. Because we can reach their targeted instruction, you would like to speak to the whole class or Yep, so and then tier one? 28 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) It's the entire class. It's the entire group, it could be an entire grade level at once that we're working on a skill. What do you what does that involve? What are
011you, what are you teaching them at that session? Well I'm not Julianne is, but what she's teaching and it's a variety of things. So we look at our FDL standards that we've set forth by New York State. And so a lot of that is building empathy. It could. 29 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Be taking feedback. 30 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) From from somebody, so when you get a test back instead of getting upset, how are you utilizing that feedback to improve? Bulliant is part of it. There's also Aaron's law that is taught through large group lessons. Aaron's law ties to it's with human trafficking, so it's how do we safe, so think about like these are my safe people. 31 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And how to navigate those worlds. So those are some of
012the group lessons and they're scaffolded based on the grade level. 32 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Then when we look at small groups usually because our teachers have highlighted that there are students that have some missing skills. E.g., we might have students that have struggled with self regulation, ok? So they need targeted skill building and practice, and that's what we would do in small group sections. 33 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Sometimes during their lunch, recess time or during a free period, they'll work on those skills just like you would work on math skills or reading skills. For students that have more at higher level, we do offer individual counseling as well. A lot of that comes often through our five oh four or IDP counseling. Again, it's very targeted. 34 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Building and
013our. 35 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Our counseling staff is getting really good at going, we're going to work on this this skill in an individual session this week. Next week we're gonna we're gonna apply that skill in a group counseling session. So it's here's the skill, let's practice it, then work on our next skill. So that's how we we kind of scaffold everything very similar to how we would do math instruction science instruction reading and so on. 36 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So that's the and again the social emotional aspect is covered by all of our, our counselors, but then we'll dive into those other components as well. Go ahead. 37 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Good evening, everyone. Okay, so, specifically, I mean I've been asked to speak about the naviance code exploration. We do
014start that technically we do like more of the diving into it in 8th grade, but we do do some elements of that with. 38 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The Navian programs with six and 7th grade where we might use for instance like a personality test to have them get to know themselves a little bit more and then have it because with Navias, there's so many different elements of it where you can go into, and have them like. 39 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That'll find out more about their personality types, but also do a dive into career exploration where they might provide different career types that. 40 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) With the career with the personality types. So it's just, you know, really what the purpose is is to have the the students like really
015get to know themselves a little bit more through their interests and things that they are good at their strengths, as well as their personality. They really do love it because it's like, you know, something that. 41 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Specific for them and the results are saved right on the Navias program. 42 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So all students go through? Yes. Okay. So they start this in 6th grade, they have access to it and they get there. It's right on there it's right on their waffle on their profile so they can access it at any time as well, you know, so you know for instance, if we're we're having a conversation like. 43 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You know, sometimes they'll ask them like let's let's open up figure around with things and
016again it kind of just makes some things. 44 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) More meaningful for them if they, you know, but yeah, they start this at 6th grade, so. Yeah. It's a portfolio that they just build onto it every single year. Okay, so then what we're doing now is we're taking this career. 45 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You know, the query exploration and then we're tying tying in this data organization. So we take the assessment results. 46 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And then specifically with 8th graders, with their career cluster finder, and we're tying that into a Google sheet where they're extracting certain pieces of information and putting it on the sheet, which will follow them into high school and it helps to, you know, just track where there are with their interests and as
017well. 47 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) As emerging patterns. You know, it's not a perfect kind of, you know, science, if you will, because it's, you know, some of it's based on, you know, a student has their idea of what they want from the time, you know, some of them with from the time their travelers. So it's, you know, and sometimes it's there's family influences that. 48 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Take place and sometimes it's just something that happens in life that really sways them in one way or the other. So again, those are conversations that we have and that, you know, Mr. has and you know we try to incorporate that too because that's important for them to, so it's not just based on the algorithm that, you know, maybe career, you know, career exploration
018surveys might give them, so. 49 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So then we do more of this collaborative planning with specifically, it is nine to twelve specifically I work more with mr. Stover. And, so at this point we're literally at the point where we're extracting all the information and putting it on the Google sheet and then mr. Stover will come. 50 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Over and help them to next week the next week we're going to is going to start his meetings for course elections. So again, all this information is utilized and then it leads into potential, you know, academy pathways if that's, you know, an option for them. 51 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Career technical education later on down the road opportunities, college and career exploration as well as long term career development. And
019the outcome for the students is informed the academic planning, increased awareness of career possibilities as well as there's the stronger alignment between their interests. 52 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The courses that are available to that as well as future Goals so kind of piggybacking off with. 53 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So what I do is I go down to the middle school meet with the creators, kind of have a conversation with them, kind of get a general understanding like who they are and like what their interests are. And then she spoke about the career cluster. So what the career cluster does is a little assessment that they take and when they take the assessments they'll. 54 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Various questions just about them and kind of like the ciphers between like what, what
020they're interested in. And so at the end of the, at the end of the assessment, they get a as a list like six six different jobs that they're that maybe close to associated with them. And so what I do is I take. 55 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Take that and I take the Google form with them and then the Google Form has questions is how many years of school schooling would you need for that? What is the medium salary for it? What education do you need in order to get to that, right? So we use kind of. 56 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That Google form to kind of get them to brainstorm about what they're what they could potentially do in the future. And so which kind of segues into our academies that we have.
021So academies we offer, we have education, business, CSI, tech trades, pre college instem, pulmonary arts, and then distance learning isn't an academy, it's just. 57 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Another segue that they could take. For, e.g., when we use culinary. 58 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So I know here we offer food and nutrition, we offer gormay foods, right? So the goal is, say that I have an 8th grader who's interested in culinary. And so I put them in that academy, and so the goal of the academies are, are to allow that student to kind of get 1st 1st ditch on that class, just the case overfills. 59 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So I know we offer food nutrition, right? So what I do is I pair them all for freshman year, they take food nutrition,
022and then sophomore year, they would take foods. So what that's happening is kind of keeping them on the path of things that they're interested in. And I know kids interest change as, as they get older, but that's ok. You're not. 60 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Always stuck in this academy when it when you get put into it. E.g., I know that we may not offer some business classes here that other schools may may offer, so that's where distance learning comes into play because then I can do a little bit of research and say that I know we offer a county but sadly didn't. 61 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Say like Fonda offered a counseling. Now I can kind of communicate with Fonda saying, like, when do you offer this class? When can I, and kind
023of figure out where I can fit into that child's schedule. So this is kind of just our academies and a way to. 62 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Get kids if they start thinking about their future, and again yes, things change, but just because they don't, just because they're not interested in business doesn't mean they can't do the nice one, which would be culinary arts or any other academy that's on this board. Yeah. What what percentage what percentage of the 8th gradings are? 63 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Deciding to take it academy. So right now I haven't gotten to that part yet because right now we're in the phase of them filling out the Google form. They all took the career clusters so I can get back to you with that data once I, once I
024go down that. Okay, thank you. 64 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So then mr. Stober passes the students off, I do the junior seniors, so we're gonna start really looking into sorry planning for their future, so are they interested in a skilled Trade so we're gonna look at the. 65 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Career technical education center over at HFM both these. Some other options we have available to our students are early admit. Right now we have students that are taking early admit through FMCC and as well Asco, and next year we're looking at a student that's interested in from a community college. 66 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So that gives them the opportunity. Excuse me, question there. So my kids took early admit, but we had to pay for it. Do they still have to
025pay for it? They do. They do. They do get state financial aid, but because they are still high school students, they don't qualify for federal. So it can be a barrier at times. 67 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) But for the students that are really go ahead. I didn't want to cut you off. I was just putting my hand up ahead of time. How many people are doing early admit? Well, I'm this is not only my second year, so I usually have at least three, if not four students a year that typically go that route. 68 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So that's that's at least what I've noticed since I've been here with the districts. So yeah, it can be a barrier having, you know, to have to pay for that. At the same time, if
026you look at it, you know, you're always going, if you're going to the college route, you're gonna invest in yourself anyways. 69 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So you can get it at a reduced cost, you know, cause they do get a reduction with the excelseater scholarship, but it does get them a jump start with really being in high school fulfilling our requirements so they can graduate and then almost getting in here under their belt of college so that when they actually graduate from high school, they have one year, if it's a two year program, three years for a four year program. 70 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So it's a nice option for our students. Oh, that's a big savings. It is, it is. So then if students aren't really able to do the early admit
027route, we do have our college in the high school classes that I do have listed for you. So we have computer apps and financial accounting, we have psychology. Food science actually is new this year. 71 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Under our college in the high school offerings. Madam Sheefer did a lovely job getting us certified through so the students that want that credit are actually earning three college credits through for that class. English eleven, Spanish, French, both college in the high school classes, and we have intermediate eligible. We have college in the high sc. 72 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Our stats pre calc calculus comes from Sydney albany, and anatomy and physiology. So they can take up to eleven credits through FMCC. So it's nice to have calculus as an option through Sydney Albany because
028they can still match their eleven at FM and then take the additional three credits for calculus. 73 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Through city albany. So again, still earning credits, still being able to decrease the time that they're going to spend actually having to pay full tuition at college. We do offer AP classes as well. I do have those listed out for you, American history. So the numbers you see in parentheses, so there's 16 students that are in that. 74 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Ports right now and 16 students who would be taking the exam. 75 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Biology eight out of the eight students are taking the exam. For English eleven, we have 17 out of 17. English twelve is ten out of ten. Global ten is 22 out of 22, and calculus
029is three out of six. Some of the students chose not to take the AP exam for calculus because they already know the colleges that they're going. 76 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Two are not going to honor that credit. So another option that we do have available for our students as well through oh I'm sorry. Go ahead that's ok. So I know you've only been here for two years. It just seems like these numbers are a little lower than they used to be five years ago. I'm just wondering, anybody have an idea why? 77 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The AP courses for me? I think more shifting over to the college. Yeah. Well, if you only have three going, that's still only three added onto those numbers in high school. College of high school College high
030school program. Oh. That's not the ones I'm sorry, not early mid. Well, it's like they don't have the biology, and I know five years ago, we had 20 kids. 78 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So I just was wondering what's happening that we might see that shift. I don't know. I don't know. You know what I mean in terms of asking some of the students as well? Right. Yep. So the English twelve, I know there was 20 something in that also. Yes. 79 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And some has to do with a little bit low enrollment too, but some has to do with the shift in the college. I just don't see any English up there except for English eleven or the college in the high school credit. Is that what you're saying? 80 "Canajoharie
031CS BoE" (1326354688) Right? E.g., English? Well, right. Well, they have to take some kind of English, right? No I'm saying that the AP and I think they need well more than I think where are those kids going? Yeah, what are they doing? Right, right. Good question. Yeah, I got you. So they'll take English twelve, so they have the option to do English twelve or AP English. But what she's saying which kind of makes sense we're starting to lose. 81 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Those. 82 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) A cohort of taking English twelve, e.g., A fee, but they're not, but there's NO college, so just was wondering, yeah. Yeah, good point. So there are also students that take new visions or go through some of the courses. English is an embedded credit within those.
03283 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We've always had that though, yeah. Yeah, but we're seeing some of the increase in. 84 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Okay. And just one thing too to add on this Vocies is looking to do a poster for the college courses. We can make an aid on it so we can rearrange how kids pay for the college courses. So it might be mini. 85 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) More or nothing. And the AP we cover the AP courses. Right. So, and dr. Raoul also gives money to students who qualify, so. 86 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I think slowly but surely we're getting to the point where we might not have to off, we might have to pay much at all for any of the college orders. That's good especially with the AP
033class it's free. So That's take that and get that three credits where you're paying for a college credit. I know it's less than normal, but still for some families, hundred and $87 is. 87 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That's. We are seeing across the board though in in schools, more people going into the college courses because of how many colleges aren't taking the APs unless you get a four or a five. It used to be three sometimes. Two schools will take three. Some. 88 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So, e.g., my daughter didn't get one, she typically heard she didn't get it. So some of them are not. So I think you're starting to get the shift to the college because they should be passive. I really like that you're going to a lot of different colleges
034and not just one. I think that's really key. 89 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) For a lot of these kids and we can start selling that closer with bosses hopefully and then hopefully ramp it up and the academies will start kicking in too because remember, every academy has a college of our AP course that they have to take. So we should start to see the numbers starting next year. Okay. 90 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We'll start to see those juniors and senior numbers. So another option we do have available for our sophomores going into their junior year and then our juniors going into their senior year. Hudson Valley offers free college courses over the summer. Students continue. 91 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The up to eight credits. 92 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That's where you get
035your english. We don't actually like I'll go through when we offer the college class here. Take it there so take away from our Right, right. Yeah. 93 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) No, so those are like more specialized classes. I know some of our students that are interested in pursuing maybe those studies when they graduate, there were some production classes that were offered. But they're nice because they're online so you don't have to travel, so it's another option they can have up to eight credits for free. So just one more question. 94 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Music, they do have AP classes and not in music, but just wondering is anybody interested in that? I haven't had a students that are inquired about it. Do they know about it? 95 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Yeah, I'm
036not quite sure. I do like when we talk to the students that are interested in like a lot of the music courses, I haven't had them come and ask about AP. I know that they love our music theory clash that mr. Melvin does. But I really haven't had a lot of interest in, you know, the AP music classes, and I think some of that comes back to what dr. Nick had mentioned. 96 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Then, you know, depending on what you score on that exam, and depending on what college you do or don't go to, you know, I think that's playing a big role right now for kids that are looking more for the dual credit for the college and the high school because you know whether it's. 97 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688)
037Seen as like if you take say e.g. calculus. So they might not take it as a cumbulus credit, but they might take it as a math credit. So at least the couch in the high school gives you the opportunity. Yes, you do have to pay for it and I a hundred percent understand some families that's another barrier. 98 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And that's why the excelsier scholarship is nice that, you know, if we get through FM and the other soony schools as well, it cuts the cost in half, and then I know FM had a special scholarship that they offered certain students as well, and it cut the cost of $0. I know with the AP arts that just is basically putting together a portfolio which is really good for the kids. 99 "Canajoharie
038CS BoE" (1326354688) You want to go into heart in college. I just didn't know if we had anybody following that path at all. No, I mean we do have mr. that Golston's our portfolio class where she kind of helps students with that. That might be something that we could definitely talk to her about seeing if she would wanna do it later. I don't know if she would be willing to do AP or college in the high school. 100 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Explore both of them are for sure. 101 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) All of our community colleges are now sitting, so any college courses coming from any ORCC are now throughout the entire state, a lot of our kids go to the schools and getting those courses as opposed to maybe even three they're
039not putting in at all so It's another shift that that has happened. 102 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) No perfect. So just to end it to help some of our students that don't have the opportunity to go on a lot of college visits. What we do do is partner with FMCCC in the fall and they host anywhere from 30 to 40 colleges typically in their genesium and then the students. 103 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You know, filter through and talk to some of the admissions. 104 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Counselors that are there. A lot of our classes take the kids on specific field trips to specific colleges looking at sorry like nanotech, they just took them I think two weeks ago, you know, to that college to explore those. And then of course we partner
040with FMCC to do our financial aid night for our families. 105 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Here. Any questions? Thank you. Thank you guys appreciate it. Well, thank you very much. It's really wonderful to see the kind of work you're doing and we look forward to seeing the students prosper. Thank you. 106 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Okay, next thing on the agenda is a presentation from center Faygie. Thank you for calling. Yes, welcome Center Faggy who is within our district. She's been a huge advocate in public education and retire. 107 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Her career from when she was down in the albumin areas more than I remember her always on the trail for education and backing it. She was a huge help for our solar projects. We were getting. 108 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688)
041Caught up with national Grid and everything and I hated to do this, but I gave her a call and said, can you help us? And he reached out and they kind of leaves the gap for us, which is very nice, probably pushed things through another month or month and a half earlier for that help. So she's been a huge advocate. She's come to HFMCCC excuse me hfs. 109 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Meetings every year for our superintendents. 110 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And since she's been the senator here, she wants to come and bear with, so really can't ask for much more and I'll tell you what she's a great friend, I reach out, I go and sometimes my tie rate over the the amount of foundation that you're getting, but they get back to
042me and explain that this is what she's fighting for and so they've been a great partner in education given to you. 111 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Most of the time. 112 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Thank you. I I it's very kind and I appreciate it and I appreciate the time. I know you have a busy agenda, appreciate you accommodating me, sorry I was a few minutes late and but it was great to hear the presentation. I should note many years ago I worked at the US Department of late. 113 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Labor as well as the New York Department of labor. And one of the programs they ran was the career exploration one. I'm forgetting the name of it. It wasn't Naviance, but i'd love to I'm gonna have to look this one
043up. I really believe career exploration gives students such a an ability to direct. 114 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And and form goals, even if those goals change, it I think it really helps the student focus and and and the studies, the research and connecting that is, is so important. I've sponsored Bills also on internships for college students because even when they hit college level, the average students will change majors three times. 115 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Times. 116 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And, you know, and asking students to when they start looking at colleges at 1617 years old to try to figure out what you want to be when you grew up is extremely difficult. So, knowing that people do change careers, knowing that they change majors in college, I think it's wonderful that you.
044117 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Started in 6th grade. I have a couple of more copies of these. I have NO idea. 118 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I have just a couple of them if if there's an interest. These are really just It's just a very brief summary to talk through. I last year I took a lot of your time, but it's just a way for me to step out during the budget and try to let you know we are advocating, we are. 119 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And there's a lot again the bu the budget is always a tremendous financial struggle. We have, we spend more on education than anybody in the country, any state on average, but it's. 120 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Every year there's the costs are rising, right? You have contractual
045costs, you have utility costs, you have nothing that's getting easier, the EV bus thing is actually driving me crazy because it's it's so frustrating we I don't think anybody could have predicted in 2018 just. 121 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) How difficult this would be in terms of, nobody predicted the pandemic, Nobody predicted the international energy market in an upheaval after the invasion of Ukraine and now we have, now we have Iran, so all of these we really expected to be much further along. 122 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) But I'll I'll get to that in a moment. So, so even though we spend more than anyone there, there are demands and and we value education in this country. We or sorry in this state I should say. So what I sent around is really based on
046the governors. 123 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Proposal of the executive budget that's what the governor proposes and again we in the Senate, it then respond to that with what we call a one house resolution. The assembly does the same thing. So everybody puts forth their budget proposals, all three entities. 124 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) By the end of March, we are supposed by 1 April, we are supposed to have a fully reconciled budget. So just today we adopted our one house resolution and now the assembly did the same, now intense, more intense negotiations begin, we're billing. 125 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Millions of dollars apart, which even in New York is hard and you've probably seen there's a lot of fights over whether we raise the multi millionaire taxes or not. 126 "Canajoharie CS BoE"
047(1326354688) And there's concerns about that because even if they are multi millionaires, there is a concern that we are losing some of our wealthiest individuals. We know we're, we're not hanging onto enough family. So it's a, it's a real tug of war and in the meantime, we are continuing to struggle with increasing utilities. We are continuing to stru. 127 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) With housing shortages, which is a national problem and and now, you know, now we're gonna see prices rise again with just the the overnight spike in gas prices, so all of that just compounds things. And when the stock market. 128 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Our Wall Street really drives our overall budget when that starts to get erradic or lose money that, you know, we all suffer, right? It is, there's NO
048bigger driver into the New York economy than than Wall Street quite frankly, or into the New York. 129 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So, so that's just. 130 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) A precursor to say these numbers are already out of date. And I will also say I represent about 20 school districts. It's 15 to 20 it's depending on I have tiny pieces of a couple of them, so in some ways I'm over 20. I'm afraid Kenna Jeharry has the toughest budget number. 131 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Of any of the districts that represent. You are one of the smaller ones, as you know, you mentioned the population loss or enrollment loss. So you are, in terms of the presentations I've already made this year, you're the only one that has the negative numbers, but I
049will say the assembly and the Senate did come in. 132 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) With, more funding for foundation aid and education overall. The desire from the Senate and I'm I'm quite sure this is the assembly I'm still trying to absorb all these numbers. Keep in mind the budget is thousands of pages long so I'm, you know, we try to get, we try to convince things into a couple of pages, we also. 133 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We did PowerPoint presentations where we try to get it into twelve PowerPoint slides. It's, it's a lot. The bottom line is the Senate and I think the assembly, the minimum foundation aid increase in our proposals would be 2 %. 134 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And, and in many ways going beyond that. So you will see these
050numbers change how much they change, I don't know. The great news, which is obvious here is that after years and years of advocacy, some of you may remember that I said I was in the assembly for twelve years representing. 135 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Bringing most of Alberty County. 136 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Now, now I have Alberty counties, skinet City County and Monkemary county. But after years of advocacy, I've I've my one of my favorite pieces of the budget is that we are finally addressing UPK. So you have a, a significant jump, you're going from three what just. 137 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) It's under 4000 per student over 11000 almost 12000. In fact, you have one of the highest jumps of my entire district. Most districts are going to 10000 per student. You're
051just to here under 12000. That's based on a lot of factors, but it's just great news. I. 138 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Live in the city of Albany and have represented Albany for many years. It it just has been a top issue we've had been advocating on is to get those numbers up because. 139 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Most districts for every pre kay slot they feel they were losing money. So everybody was trying to do the right thing and provide prepaid slots or provide prepaid education but literally losing money. I assume you were the same. For like twelve years, same amount, even though it costs rose. We wrote a. 140 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Couple of years ago to extend it. So we got extra money and then this came in, so we got
052the per pupil, not only the original amount plus the grand. So that's why we're seeing such a huge increase as well. Yeah, everybody out of the, you know, the negative out of the negative and and it was the same in all the in a whole host of dif. 141 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And again, folks were trying to do the right thing and I commend you for it. 142 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Because pre K is something, you know, it's always the most popular part of the budget. I, we have three and four year olds. You have oh and you have a universal for three year olds, any any child that requests? No, we have a certain amount. We only have a certain amount of slots. It's certainly still. 143 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) A
053full day boy. 144 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Sorry? I I really commend you because all the new has a grant for it, most of the rest of my district does not have three K And that's where we're moving. We're giving a lot of funding this year to New York City and we're trying to get that replicated throughout the state, one for more childcare in general. 145 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) But my I I think it's well they're both important but I think doing more on three K really sets the students up for higher academic achievements. So I commend you for that you're once again ahead of the game just that you are with your energy investments. 146 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So, so this is it's, it's great news. Harry, the other news isn't as
054good. We will not see new budget, what we call the budget runs until until we are just ready to pass the budget. And in other words till the end of the month or so, so it it we knew these were out of date, but we don't do new budget form. 147 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Runs based on these one house resolutions. 148 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) They don't run the numbers on that because it's all too, it's too speculative at this point. So right now this is what you have, but just know we just passed it today. It was a split vote and that overwhelmingly passed with the Democrats to increase of the amount. So, so that? 149 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) To minimum 2 %, most out over that, we will seek again to
055see if there's bullet aid if if we still fall shorten anyway, but everyone will be the flat 2 %. I do think that will hold. There's a lot of interest in it in it and there are a number of districts that ended up with that 1 %. And again, given that. 150 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Get your utility, your, your contractual personnel issues are rising more than one percentage. 151 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) There is a real interest in trying to get that number up. Our budget right now is $735000 of use of fund balance and preserves built into it. Now we we have fluff in some of the accounts so we hope that doesn't fall out, but our dissipation is 730000. That's why we're short. 152 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Well, and I know
056you really took the hit on the expense space as well which is which is always unpredictable one. So so that's we're still doing great on the school lunch program which has turned out to be incredibly popular after the lunch and breakfast. It's now universal as of a year ago. 153 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That took years to do. I will say I was at 1st a little more skeptical of it because I'd been constantly pushing for after school funding and I knew it was kind of pulling away from after school, but it has turned out to be incredibly popular and very pleased. 154 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We're still falling short on after school. I don't know if you get any funding in after school programs. You don't. Okay yet that you're not alone and
057we've gotta get so for me that's gonna be one of my next big pushes. I should also add I've had the bill for about twelve years. I've carried the legislation for. 155 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Prepay transportation to make it reimbursable by the state. It is in the one house. We did get it in the Senate version. It costs tens of millions of dollars. I would not, I'm not gonna waiter that it will survive. It has tremendous bipartisan support. 156 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Again I've had that bill for years. I keep saying I won't retire until we do it. But part of it is the school age, the fact that even a four year old, the ones with the late birthdays still require booster seats, so if you're still three and a half entering
058entering a4K program, I personally believe we should change the start date such that. 157 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) All children are four for the four year old program, five for kindergarten, and then we wouldn't have this problem of meeting booster seats and needing extra personnel. There's a lot of resistance to that. I welcome your comments on it, but we are an outlier. New York is one of one of only a few states that allows. 158 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Four and a half year olds to start, at until most states have a 1 September cutoff, but that's that's part of why we can't, that we've been unable to fund the transportation despite all the support. A big push this year by the governor which I think is important on literacy and including the science of
059breeding and. 159 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Mayor. 160 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So a push there. You've heard about a few of those pilots and more tu more literacy and math tutoring. Teacher pipeline continues to be a challenge. Welcome your feedback on that. I'm just racing through and then if if there if time allows happy to take some questions if if. 161 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Appropriate. 162 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The bus that I already mentioned, one of my colleagues just did a terrific opinion piece in Syracuse, one of the syracuse papers about needing more flexibility there. I know you did all the right things. We've talked about this extensively. You did all the right things trying to move towar. 163 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Zero emission buses. The technology has not been there.
060I heard kind of kills the school district I don't even represented all the right things, bought ten EV buses and they were sidelined for month of January. The technology has actually been very disappointing. CDTA, the capital District Transportation authority. I don't think it comes out. 164 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Yeah, just Amsterdam. They've they were the 1st transit authority to have EV buses. 165 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) In in all of upstate, even now, now their newer buses are hybrid buses, just because of the need for flexibility. I'm going to continue to push on that just because it's because of the technology, because of the infrastructure and because technology meanings that the bus. 166 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) It's literally where sidelined with the extreme of cold. So that's what it does to the communities
061too. I meaning they're seeing it. 167 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We're gonna spend $400000 in the bus and they're like, where are you gonna come up with those funds, you know? And I think that's a big piece of it and so that's causing descension there too, which you don't need anymore because as we know, the only place you can go down a budget is your school, so where they can take out any frustration anything is here and. 168 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The costs are just they're unrealistic at this point and share because we finally gotta we gotta grant from energy manager put it together for us. We couldn't drive the bus many days cause it was too cold, they wouldn't beat up. So to have a whole fleet and the two year extension really
062doesn't help you too much only because the 2000. 169 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The 35 days still there so you just crunch the number of buses you need in five years as opposed to seven years. I fully agree and I say this to somebody who wants sponsored legislation on this. 170 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I was a different build of past, but again in 2018I was twelve because I remember I bought a EV hybrid car, a plugin hybrid, and I remember hearing from one of the state contractors. Oh yes, all the all the. 171 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The, the chargers are gonna be in all throughout the through way just for the average driver car driver. I so that you know again NO one could have predicted how many upheavals we've had. Everyone predicted
063the price would come down and in parody. I mean look what's happened with EV cars. 172 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So it's just, but I urge you to really, we need the superintendents, we need school board associations, we need administrators all to be more on the same page. Right now everybody's asking until there is a uniform voice on it. 173 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I'm banging my head against the wall internally trying to get change here. Nobody just says well everybody can get the waiver. I know it's more than that and waivers a little bit of a, of a bear as well. Somebody who did everything and was ahead of the game, we still have to put in a lot of pieces that we can't get from National Grid and we can't get from. 174
064"Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) From the organizations and then you're frightened because let's do the math. In September of 2027, which is one year and five months away, we're supposed to have a set of buses. 175 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That we're gonna purchase that are gonna be, you know, EV buses. That means infrastructure in place, building projects, chargers, fire suppression, that all can happen in 15 months. And is that if you have the waiver or without the waiver? 176 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) With without the waiver. Without the waiver. But if we go with the waiver, remember it doesn't push the end dates or crunches now, now you only have five years to get everything done. So that's, if they don't push everything up a couple of years, we're just asking for trouble and you
065said the Connick hills, which is a good point. We had a modified football game to the connick kills. 177 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We would never make it on an electric bus to the hundred and 2 mi and what do you do with 40 kids on a, on a bus with a football team halfway and said we gotta charge up? It wouldn't, it wouldn't work. Those are the real concerns but I I'll be honest. 178 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Internally that message is still not, not resonating. Right. So everybody's something different and there has to be a more consistency among both C's among the school boards associations among the because everybody's kind of they're all over the map. 179 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And as you know with advocacy, it doesn't work until it's more
066consistent and. 180 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So messages, it's not working. That's the consistent but but some just want to extend the waivers, some like the school board association has said well let's repeal it. Well, that's just not that's you know, I can't I can't take that back. Sure so. 181 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) As opposed to 2035. Let's look at this again in two years, meaning let's look at the technologists help the technology reaches the point and give everybody because of 700 school districts put in a building project for their bus garage, you can imagine the backup of math too, but that's gonna happen. 182 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And we're seeing school board votes go down. And that's another thing so will go down and fly hims and rightfully so what what I've
067also seen some school district do do is just literally put this in a parking lot, punintended just just really just put the whole thing off for now, which is, you know. 183 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I know that's risky too, but it's because, because of the concern about having previous school budget boats go down. It's, it's a it's a situation. If you don't shift to that. That's been the word out there too, just to let you know. If they don't shift to those buses on time. Who's threatening the transportation. 184 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That's what the word is out there. May not be sure that's what's floating. Okay. So just something on that, please feel free to. Yeah, so I'll absenteeism, I just wanted to mention of. 185 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That's and
068I welcome your feedback on this. We've had a terrific conference call on it. Clearly you have time sensitive and critical absenteeism data. 186 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The front facing, the public facing absenteeism data is, at, at any given time over a year old. So what we see on the SED website right now is from the 2324 school year. So literally almost two years ago, so. 187 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So one of one of my pieces of legislation is to just update that. It means software changes and a few other things but we are having good conversations with state Ed about that. The other piece is to look at some pilot programs and other model programs and what we can do with. 188 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Absenteeism because we are struggling. I'm also
069getting a lot of feedback on that it's how multi layered this problem is with families and working with OCFS, the Office of Children and family services on the, the child protective hotline. 189 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That there's not enough teeth and not enough tools to help when, when there is a family really struggling, so it's multi layered. I'm not telling you we've got any fast answers here, but we've I've. 190 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Just yesterday had yet another conference call with myself and a couple of other elected officials of state legislators with stated so I think we're trying to shine the light on this and if nothing else once we can shine that light. 191 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We're hoping to look at a few things, whether it's incentive dollars, whether it's
070just getting more real time data because, you know, what gets measured gets done is one of my favorite public policy lines, so I'll stop there. I welcome, that's just tossing a few things out again. 192 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We won't have any final answers for you until the end of the month if usually we go a week or two later, who knows what will happen this year? Every year is very, very different and unpredictable. The good news is talking to educators that there's always, this is one area of the budget I can confidently say there is tremendous buyer. 193 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) For hardest and support. 194 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And the late is I know you guys fight the battle, but it's deadly for someone like us because we don't have
071a choice, we have to pass a budget at a certain time. And it's you know, I I asked your colleague, I know John very well for years down McDonald and I said, maybe we should look to you extend yours, extend ours, you know what I mean? Because. 195 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) As, it's very tough to tell the public there's our budget, but we don't have much money we're gonna get. As somebody who I should also, I introduced myself a little bit last year and I'm sorry I didn't do it this year, but it feels like a hundred years ago, but well over 20 years ago I also served on the all day school board and it was right after 09:11 when. 196 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And the state economy did a complete nose
072dive. 197 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And, the budget was just crushed. So not only were they were later budgets, it was a complete/and burn because of the horse of 09:11 and what it did on the state economy. So my entire four years on the alberty school budget were were nothing but a red ink. 198 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So. 199 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I I hear you, I understand and quite frankly, I'm I'm always willing to go around the clock, this governor has a, a slightly different strategy in terms of how the budget gets negotiated she likes do the big issues 1st and then everything else. 200 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) It was the reverse under her predecessor. Both have run into some delays, but but all I can say is please, please keep
073yelling on that. The problem is, is you know your phones. 201 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You're, you know, it's not as it's hard for you to push back a date, you know, so instead of because of you know social media and getting stuff out so I mean, if they relax the the laws in terms of the amount of days we have to let people know because it's not like it used to be. We can get stuff out very quickly. Right. 202 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Just saying it would help districts, you know, extend their budget timeline to help us make sure we can have the the funds. It's just tough to tell the public, you know, we don't know what the budget's gonna be yet, but here's a newsletter and I understand where you're coming
074from too, you guys are fighting It looks a little less. 203 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Controversial this year, but maybe I'm You know, a number of people have actually already said that to me like wow, was there anything that's, you know, gonna make the budget late this year? And I've said, I am not even getting my hopes up this year because a couple of years ago I was in the assembly when they said oh well it's gonna be a, you know, there's not any big, big things and the budget was. 204 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Three weeks like that year. So, I will say though in terms of pushing back the deadlines because often the voting machines are needed for the state primary, there's. 205 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You know, one, one problem can
075create another so that's that. Anything else I again I I really I know you have a lot of questions specifically about what you just said, but it all would affect education. What is about just taxing the rich question? 206 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) My understanding from everything I've ever read about it is that there's not really result in which people leaving the state where the places where those taxes have been enacted. And I was just wondering if there's any sentiment in this assembly or set it to move on in that direction, even though I know the god. 207 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Yeah, we are one house. 208 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Proposals from the Senate and the Assembly do include increased taxes. It's a half percent more on those making over 5 million and
076are those slightly higher and those making over 25 million. There you go, so in case that that might affect. 209 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) It is an extraordinarily small, part I'm not sure I have anybody in my district that, you know, maybe I do, that would be affected by that. 210 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So we do inclu increase, there's also a couple of other small pieces where we fund, where we end up on that remains to be seen, because, and I I'm just gonna tell you both sides of it. 211 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I supported what, what we did. I just voted for this one house proposal, but I will tell you the economists and the staticians on this are, are on both sides. There is data to show that we do. 212
077"Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Lose a disproportionate share of the ultrawealthy, but we're also losing middle class families as well. So you could, I can argue both sides. It's the bottom line I can tell you both sides of it. I'm just trying to tell you where the research is. 213 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We are losing a disproportionate share of the, the ultrawealthy, so you, you have to really go at these issues with a ch with a chissel, and it's not, it's not just that sometimes it's also about. 214 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) How we grow our small businesses and medium sized and then as well as attract corporate businesses. So it, it has a, a bit of a ripple effect and we are we are seeing wealth move to. 215 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Florida
078to North Carolina to Texas, so we are, we are seeing that how much rate it again that's where everyone argues. In the end, I think we we are trying to take a reasonable approach. It is. 216 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Half a percent increase, and and personally on a personal level, I do think the ultrawealthy should be paying more because you know you can't pull this out of property taxes. I'm, I just, you know, I. 217 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I think that's I think voters for the most part. 218 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Raise more concerns about property taxes. You can't tax utilities more. You can't like there's very little few other places to go. So right there you go. So, so you, it is, it's a really, but it isn't. 219 "Canajoharie CS
079BoE" (1326354688) Approach to try to find other there's a few others. 220 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Gold bars, I guess booleans. I don't own any, so I don't know a lot about this. But gold bars evidently had not been, the taxes had not been raised on those for, for decades. So we we have done a slight increase there on those who transfer gold bars. Seems crazy, doesn't it? But, we. 221 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) They are looking at and and it the folks that are mostly affected for somebody who is ultrawealthy, they actually gained money under HR one that's the big beautiful bill signed on 4 July. That bill costs New York of roughly. 222 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) $10 billion if you added some of the loss of COVID funds. So the individuals that
080gained money, the ultrawealthy that gained money under that bill, we'd be reclaiming it for the state. So if you really think about it's a. 223 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We're trying to reclaim what we lost in the federal legislation and we are, we lost 3 billion in Medicaid dollars. So, it's NO secret we're being heard every day by, by the new trump administration and I'm I'm not trying to be part of some the numbers are the numbers. I'm just saying we, we have to make that up in one way or. 224 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Okay, I have other questions if anyone else doesn't? Okay. Another thing I think that would not only help the school district's budget but also all New York budgets is the New York Health Act which I know you were
081a sponsor of. And I was wondering what other chances that that might be just for everyone's knowledge. 225 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The New York Health Act would make New York a single Payer health care state. The 1st one in the nation, if it were to pass, it would mean you would have NO monthly health insurance premiums, it would cover health, hospitals, dental, hearing, long term care vision, and it would be a huge huge. 226 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Benefit to all new yorkers, and it would save our school district about over $3 million a year, which is much more than our foundation aided. So I was just wondering what are the chances that this might ever pass? I would not be placing bets on it. It's, it's on. 227 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) It's
082it's so complicated, and it's NO secret. Our healthcare system is an absolute mess, but you really, most would say you really need a federal partner there. We don't have that partner right now. We just don't. And it is a and it also means shifting. 228 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Healthcare costs to payroll taxes and there's opposition to shifting that burden because that has to be paid for one way or another. And then you have a lot of organized labor, the labor unions that have really. 229 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Very good health care plans right now when they are approved, so you have, you have opposition. So it's we're, we're ways away from that but but is health care just a mess and it's, it's it when I go before my school boards, one of
083the biggest drivers I mentioned utilities a lot, but the health care. 230 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Are, we're spending, it's just under one half of our state budget is going to healthcare loss right now. I mean it's it's not sustainable, but there's NO good answers. There's, there's just NO good answers and and again we spend more. 231 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Then virtually any other state other than California. So I, I, but I don't think you're gonna see a complete change toward a it's a it's somewhat like a Medicare for all, so it's my last question what is the history of. 232 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Or the hope for the ICE legislation to pass that would put restrictions on that I bet on you can waiter on that, but and I don't know if
084you've had cases here, but I know it has affected we're in regular touch with the farming community and we have had, if there's been real disruptions to our act. 233 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Your Culture industry with migrant workers being arrested, we've seen a lot of concerns from our cities and towns with individuals being arrested. So there is a real interest in casting a package that would help to better protect. 234 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Migrant workers, I happen to carry the legislation that would require, a mass off of ice agents. I, we have all spent hundreds of millions of dollars on body cameras for. 235 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) State police, local police, corrections officers to have more transparency in our law enforcement industry and and many, much of the industry has embraced that
085and so having the masked armed agents has really. 236 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Fueled a tremendous concern, and so I I do think you will see a package in the next month on that. Thank you for tolerating much. That's alright I know it's not school related and thanks to all the members so anything else? Anything else? I appreciate the time and I. 237 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) All it's again there's just to give the students a order of magnitude. At any given time there's about 10000 bills in play, only about a little over a thousand of those ever make it through, but only ten of those are the state budget. 238 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And the state budget is thousands of pages long. So it just gives you a sense of, how it, as
086somebody once said it is drinking from a fire post, it is a lot in terms of what we fund for teachers, for equipment, for for roads, for bridges, you name it. You may only hear about a. 239 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Through those but it's it is a lot so that's why it's hard for me to answer specific numbers but but I know there this is one issue that has tremendous support many of the others have a lot of debates, so I I appreciate the interest and I should also add. 240 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I know you're not paid the the board members, so thank you thank you thank you for your service to not just the schools but to the entire community. It is really important and I hope the students and families
087recognize how much you. 241 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Time to give, so thank you for this time and I apologize if I was my day. Thank you. Thank you for having me. Thank you so much. Thanks. 242 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Next is a student representative report, take it away Xavier. So Tuesday this week we had the music in our schoolset in our show, so we showcase student artwork in our gallery in the hallways, high school as you saw the building. 243 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And that's our all grades, high school school and elementary school. 244 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And all culminates in a concert which also has multiple different music groups, different buildings and and the concerts are always very well attended, so it's nice to have those two together so people
088attending the concerts also get the CDR. 245 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) But maybe they wouldn't have. So that's a great event. Another thing that is new is we've as you probably already know, spring sports are now entirely merged, so our tracks softball and baseball are all merged and. 246 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) From a student perspective, I think socially, the transition probably be very smooth as we've already merged multiple different sports and many many many student athletes have experienced these merged teams with coaches and students. 247 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And have already, you know, formed these bonds and friendships. So obviously, you know, if you're on the team, the 1st few days are different and lots of faces, but I mean, with the nature of sports and and being on a team and how
089it brings people together your week, you know, you wouldn't have it any other way and that's your team. 248 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And it's very, very valuable for students to recognize that. Also, important thing about merging teams I think for students is the coaches that we gain. I think the like the the numbers with obviously increasing for the athletes. 249 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Gaining more coaches students from our school would never experience if we weren't merged, this is very important because there are a lot of coaches from the other district and a lot of impact and our students lives. 250 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Obviously some of the the drawbacks for for students are changes in facilities where it's located, and this obviously varies depending on what which port you're in and you
090know what what level. 251 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) But that's that's about it. So for the senior speaker series, since last meeting, we've had Stan Cudy, who was a journalist for the daily cazette. He's a writer photographer at the order. He came in and spoke about his. 252 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Especially in locally, he reports on sports and local events. We had Pete Roman who was the county executive. He came in and spoke about his career path, which is very interesting one, and representing the county. 253 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We talked about, you know, new things that we can expect that just how much work goes into, you know, improving improving the county from his position. And then although it maybe slow the way they you know decide things to do projects, there's
091a lot of people who are, you know. 254 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Being out for for us. And we also had Mark Bensen who was the who is the athlete director at the University of so he oversees like 19 different sports and tons of of different programs and responsibilities and he very well could have sent. 255 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You know someone one of his like someone under him or an employee to come and speak to us but he chose to come out with himself and give us our presentation and talk about his job and. 256 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The industry of of working in in college athletics and, and, you know, all the different career paths that students could have there. We have multiple students interested in either sports journalism or like
092sports physical therapy and training. 257 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) A lot of students get interested in that through our athletic programs, they have very valuable experiences in sports and then want to take that as a, as a career, either in training or managing their journalism that. 258 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That's it. Any questions comments? All right, thank you very much. Okay, next on the agenda is the superintendents report. Just some updates on one process. We've had the. 259 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The focus group team meetings all along, we have another set coming up through the month of March. We met with the ambassadors again to see how things are going and get feedback, things of that nature. We're gonna start now to plan forms to get out to the community. We got feedback
093from both the ambassadors and the CFP panel as well about and the focus. 260 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Things about where we'd want to go next in terms of the forums and what we want to talk about. We have the 15 April meeting which will be the next board meeting. It will be here, but it'll be a joint meeting, but when the auditorium 1st where we're gonna talk about the merger process and have. 261 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Mr. Tim's come and talk about the five year plan that's coming up as well and then after that we will start to kick off the forums and get out to our communities and start talking to people about the process again. So, a lot moving and shaking and going on, so. 262 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We
094keep mov moving forward. We're getting some, some information back on merger aid, talked to the person in charge down at the superintendent conference and we asked, you know, what happens if we don't merge and you know we we move on in a couple of years later, we looked to do it again. We said that. 263 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) This will probably be the most age you'll ever get. They'll restructure the aid formula again and it will be coming up, it'll be going down. So interesting comment on that, you know, from $84 million too I don't know where it would go after that, but it would probably go down, so. 264 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Just some, some things to to think about. I think the five year plan will show not a great outcome,
095and we can start letting people know what happens if we don't merge, that's not necessarily a negative, it's just a realistic of what would happen if we didn't, so. 265 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Thursday meeting. That's the Wednesday one but it will be here. Correct. Yep. 266 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Building projects, we had all the bids come back on the geothermal and that came under bid, which is fantastic, because we can start to kind of do some things, maybe second shift work, pay some people that come in for second shifts so we can get that moving quicker so we don't affect as many classrooms, which is gonna be the tough part with this. We're gonna have to move classroom. 267 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Comes to different places. The next two weeks I've been
096meeting with king and King on a $30 million project as they start to formulate those plants that move the state Ed, but everything's on a great trajectory moving forward on the building projects. The Amsterdam rotary Club put together an adult prom event down in Amsterdam was a pretty new event. I went there. 268 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Down there, and they had raffles and and different things there and they've raised money for the postprompt parties for everyone at the county. They came today and dropped off a $4500 check for the postprompt. So just fantastic for our students. 269 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) An ability to make sure we can give the gifts and guest speakers and everything that we would do if they have their ground parties. So that was really nice today. I met
097with the, the founders of the star program earlier today and they were talking about a star challenge that they did, you might have remembered a couple of years back where the students created. 270 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Something changed to our, you know, our district in our school and it took the students, you know, to come up with the ideas. And so it's gonna be a challenge to have the teams go out and craft what they think the best idea would be for a change. It's up to them and what we'll do is we'll. 271 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Present that to the board, present that to the administration, the winner of that challenge will we'll get behind that change and help with. 272 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Advancing things that make it even better
098than we have it. So great thing i'm glad they came to me and talked to me about it. I had a little misconception about it, so i'm glad I got it figured out and I think it's a great idea and I think it's something we should probably do every four years as your cohort comes up. 273 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So we'll talk about that as we go. So exciting stuff for the most part. All set. Okay, thank you. Any questions comments? Okay finance committee report. Finance in the budget wrapped up into one. Can you put that budget stuff up there and Leah can kind of go through? 274 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Yep. So this is the latest rendition of the budget for 2627. It includes all of the factual obligations, including the retirements
099and replacements for those retirements. 275 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And special ed. So those are the 1st four lines are the salaries for all of that. And then we go on to health insurance. Health insurance is highlighted because. 276 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We just got some numbers today that our excellence plan is only going up 1 %. It's crazy because other schools plans are going up like 15 18 %. So I do not think I'm going to increase the health insurance, but I. 277 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So we still have a little bit of time to look at that. And remember that number just as an Excel cause that's also, you know, the other plants as well as we took a hit for the Medicare advantage plan and you know your dental and
100your vision will go up a little bit. So when you see when you see because that's not 1 % or whatever. 278 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That's all the plans. So TRS is up a little bit, that's just based on the increase in salaries for next year. We have bosies highlighted still because we haven't finalized the commitments for next year for all the Boses services that we use. 279 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And the placements for a special letter included in there as well. Depth death service we talked about before is down basically debt service, the decrease in depth service offsets the increases in a lot of the other categories, so overall the budget is staying the same. 280 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And the other item that increased from last month's budget rendition is
101workers comp has to go up because one of the workers comp consortium and those rates have increased. So if you go to the bottom the revenues. 281 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The tax cap calculation is for the approval for later and the tax cap is at 2.56 % and I put in two and a half so that we stay under that. 282 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Which we've done every year? State every year at or just under the. And as dr. Nick said earlier, we still have the use of fund balance and reserves to balance the budget because the revenue is just not there in the state need or the taxes. So the use of. 283 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The reserves and fund balance is just about 740 and whether we use that, we
102always hope fund balance falls out, you know, how that would proceed. And we do have some restricted fund balance so we haven't covered too as well. So there's, you know, there's a buffer there, but as we always. 284 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Talk about once you start using reserves. 285 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That's when it starts trouble, right? Because now you can't fuel reserves in the future, you know, we do our building projects and we always have the capital reserve to cover the taxpayers impact. Once you start not having fun balance, you can't fuel those reserves anymore. So you'll start to kind of see that so we'll see how it goes and. 286 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) But for the most part, it's it's nice to get that increase in pre K funding. Nice
103to get a little bit of foundation and hopefully we can get a little bit more. So if you do the math on the foundation aid, it's actually less than 1 %. It's about .8. 287 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So we really need that 2 % if we could get where you heard her comments they were the worst district. Yeah, if you say the truth of 460 school districts had 1 % or less. So dangerous. 288 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The worst? I think it has a combination of the lower enrollment and still this wealth ratio that still is sticking on us for a little bit, which I don't quite understand. So I think it's a combination of both of those. 289 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You know, we're kind of stuck in the middle, it
104seems like right now or some are just four animals in enrollment or kind of this wealth ratio up there a little bit and enrollment. So it's kind of like a double hit. So what we forget to say is she says you know we're the largest state that funds education. 290 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Yes, but understand this for also the the you go to New york city, the cost of living there is much larger than if you want to Arkansas or Alabama. So yes, and we have most mandates in the country. So when we have the mandates we have to keep up with. 291 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Yes, we're gonna we're going to cost more. Our healthcare is also more than anybody else and so within our taxes. So you can understand why they
105forget to say that sometimes. This sounds like we're spending more than everybody else. Well, we're really not with just the cost of living is different than the state than it is. 292 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Any others. So, and by the way, the the educating the child is different than it was 25 years ago. We want to give the students more and we should, so it's gonna cost more ready to move on? Yes. Okay, we'll go on to approvals. 293 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Well, I would ask for a motion for one favor again just for the students knowledge, what this does is what means we just don't have to vote on each individual item, we could just vote on the package at the end unless someone pulls one out. 294 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688)
106Okay, so minutes anything there? Bills? I just have two this time so one is 68349. Trevy pay. That's the new company that we paid for all of our. 295 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Oh, ok. And then 68359 Kelly brothers. That's one of Steve's vendors and that has something to do with a door replacement. 296 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Okay, thank you. And any other questions there? Hey moving right along to budget treasurer's report. I won't say anything ok budget transfers. 297 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Tax cap calculation, approved proposition for bus leases nope ok approve the proposition for equipment reserve expenditures? 298 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Okay, then approve the proposition for a capital project extension. This is the geothermal that went out at 14 million, it should have went out of 14.4. This is
107all covered under the $1.4 million ran. So When the Russ drew up the proposition last year. 299 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Shouldn't forwarded before. So NO extra cost to anything, NO extra cost to taxpayers or our reserved, this all came from the budget, so it's just recalculating and all three of those will be included in the budget hearing. 300 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Which is scheduled for 7 May at 05:30 p.m.. Okay, then moving ahead, Anderson Center, anything new there? 301 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) For an evaluation for a student. Okay, then the Indian King architects on your firm. It's a very long I don't know if you need that very well of agreement in July, but I didn't find anything in there. Community youth centers. 302 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Summer transportation, I'd like
108to make a bit. I'm sorry, I'd like to make a comment on that one by this one? Yes, go to the youth center. I spend time there with the kids. It's a wonderful program. I think in the summer we have 70 days children there. 303 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Costs there are going up like everywhere else. I believe most of the budget is salary, NO minimum wages run up. I think we averaged, I don't know, seven or eight young people that fall under that, so we have probably less small business. 304 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Business donations that we've had in the past, and I haven't been asked to speak I'm just speaking on behalf because I spent time there and before I had spent time there, I didn't realize. 305 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688)
109Really what a great programmer was. And now that I actually spent time there and I'm more aware of it, because my, my kids didn't go there so it's very valuable for the families. It's very reasonable, they get snacks, they get food, they get trips, but as it opposes as it affects what we're discussing. 306 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The school generously, the district provides transportation in the summer for us. I'm sure that's expensive. Sure that keeps going up. But having said that. 307 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) If we could, if have a flat increase on that or if there's any wiggle room in the future to lower that, the biggest cost drivers for the user honestly are salary for staff and believe it or not, there's somewhere transportation. So it's 2nd biggest cost they have,
110and it's critical. 308 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) For that program, for those kids to, you know, to get out, see different things and. 309 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We have kids from Canada Jerry fort playing Elliston, Palentine, so all of the local district students are involved, I mean some of them from all of those districts, so anything we could do in the future, I I'm sure I speak for the director of very appreciative and it work that the school provides that so. 310 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Let's it on now. A lot of gates go down there, but without a doubt, the only issue you have with starting to make certain deals is remember the way we work once we do one. I understand it turns into everyone else and that's the dilemma we get
111ourselves in. So that's that's a hard press thing to do sometimes, but we. 311 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Do I think we do during the school year, take them down that. So I think at one time that was just a normal run, I guess now it's an add on run I'm thinking correct. They go in, they go down later. Yep, so. 312 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We appreciate that. We're aware of that yeah it's just really important that the community that those kids have another opportunity and for those parents, anyone who's ever had to get a babysitter or trying to port somebody to find someone after school, it's. 313 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Very difficult, so a lot of families really count on that. I would be somebody that makes a big big help. It
112is. We even do a homework club with the you know when they come we work even on that, the kids that need that help the parents. So it's really valuable. 314 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So were able to get into 25 computers to grant, so that worked out I was able to kind of correlate that with the grant to say it was a sub. 315 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Component of our district that we agreed to that so that kind of helped but the other day was kind of tough. I know, I understand ok and we have you anything else on that? 316 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Okay, then we have the youth wrestling programs for next year. Okay, I would entertain the motion to go. 317 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Prove the consent agenda
113motion, not 2nd. Second, all in favor. Moving on to personnel at the end I would ask for a consent agenda all in favor. Thank you. So we have a. 318 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Pointing a cleaner, who is John Deboys? I'd say I gave all of our our admin and our directors a lot of credit as we got people retired, they jumped right on it and posted in the. 319 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Interviewed and got the process going and able to fill all these positions which is again fantastic, so I give him a lot of traffic because I just stayed on the course and got the interviews going and got some good candidates, so it just worked itself out, so go ahead. 320 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And then we have retirement of Alan
114Welch, who is a food service and bus driver and pointing food service worker whose orders calling. This is the position taking over for and pointing a bus driver. 321 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Who is Audrey solving? So it's great about Audrey. She also drives a bus or student student bus company as well. So she's kind of experience you want to train and she wanted to also do food service, so I was like, whoa, hello, welcome. 322 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) One thing I'd just like to say is that whenever I'm at meetings with other school board members from other districts, and I tell them that we don't have any bus fiber vacancies, you know, like flabber gasted and it was just so NO. 323 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You're bless to have those. Okay then
115we have residential food service Workersa will be taking over at the high school. Yep. 324 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And the point A head cook of Arisa Bean want a driver's head teacher, this will come as a shock to delay her Spring coach. I don't want to get rid of it right now. 325 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) That's Evan Crowse for modifying baseball. Again, just a shout out if you have any comments or questions volunteer was pushed for Mineraj, point of lifeguards, Bryce and Becker, Rod and Fernandez. 326 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Those and Queenland forests. 327 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Oh, by the way, we also got $6000 from the county to pay for a swimming program, help pay for a swimming program, which is kind of nice. They gave money to Amsterdam and
116I said what second why didn't given that one? He said they're doing family swim, that's Wait a second, we do family swim. 328 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And she goes, ok, I will give you $6000 too, so worked out pretty good. 329 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) And then feasibility studies die pens where we talked about this where we're asked to be immerse of. 330 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) For the extra work that are required to do for the merger out efforts and also Andrew Rollback for $300 for the extra work that she's asked to do. 331 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So if there's NO questions on any of these I would entertain a motion to approve all in favor. Thank you. Then we have upcoming meetings, 15 April and the other total they just mentioned
117those. 332 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) With 8154 15 April at 06:00 P.M. and oh you can. Yes. And that will be an extended one so we'll have retirements, we'll have you know tenure. 333 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) We'll have presentation by the departments. We have our six to 07:00 meeting with the joint boards and we also take a little break to use caking drinks and welcome everybody why did we decide to have a department presentation on the same night that we're having retirements? 334 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Oh, you know why? Because they were coming anyway for the people. 335 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) So also the annual dinner is 1 April if anyone plans to attend, let me know so that by next week I believe. It's always gonna send at least one board
118member and Mark's gonna be in Areas. 336 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) I can just tell you that if you go to the students do all the cooking and they do a really wonderful job so I'm be attending to have somebody so somebody can make it be great to be. It's about an hour hour and a half. And one of the specialty called meetings in the 20 29 April or 19 May, just the 19th is the one. 337 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) The 29th is for the one that we have to approve the board, the bosses and the 19th is for the election. Yes. The. This is the budget. Yes. Okay, thank you. The one be virtual, the other one maybe two, and make it to the. 338 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Okay so on the

Thank you for coming. 339 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) Remember a year ago was 07:00. Paul a favor? 340 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1326354688) You're the favor of going home? Okay, thank you.
