0011 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Okay, it is 06:00. I will call the meeting to order the 1st order of business is any questions or comments from the floor? 2 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) We'll move on to reports. So we'll follow up on that and move ahead to superintendent updates. 3 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Just a couple of quick items on our projects and merger process. We finally got the last generator up for the pole with solar. I don't know if you want to buying to go up now too. 4 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) So we shouldn't be on the case for NO later than the end of January. Before that, so it's moving well. We're having another planning meeting on Monday to talk about the capital project, find some final numbers together and then we'll
002find your submission to stay dead. 5 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) So that'll be going up as planned, very organized King and King very happy so far with what they've been doing, NO doubt. We have a couple of things down just to let people know the village is down with a water issue so we can't get our rule going because we can't fill it. 6 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And until that happens, we might thought it was gonna be a day or two and then it's three and it's four. So we've got our our kids going down to Fonda at least to kind of get some of that going. We had it short in our. 7 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Major lights out and it's the main one that goes everywhere. So we have to take
003the pole out and get the short underneath so couple things that are gonna affect everybody and we had a pretty mass fleet coming down the mainstairs and the atrium close the stairs down. 8 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Because all the ice build up because they've nothing trained, so we just sat there and it found a way to find a way as water usually does, so. 9 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) So anyway, we're, we're slowly getting back to if you hear anything, that's what's happening outside, so in terms of the merger, we had a focus team meetings last night. There was about 33 people, two or three couldn't. 10 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) There's probably 35 or 36 people combined on five teams. I think overall it went very well. It's a great conversations, great dialogue.
004Everyone's planned the next round of meetings as well to meet again, and it'll be up to each committee or each team, excuse me to figure out how many times they think they need to meet, meet. 11 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And we'll do a culmination thing on 14 April. 12 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Which will report out any questions recommendations each team had. We'll be able to report out what Rick Tims has done at that point, the financial side of things. And then the 15th we have the joint meeting that will report the recommendations of the of the committee and the team's out and we'll also have Rick present that night. 13 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) In terms of what we saw with the five year plan, putting a video together for the information sheet
005and get that out to everyone as well. 14 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And that should be over the next couple of weeks so moving good good pace, I think we're gonna meet with the CFP panel again the end of January and we're also gonna re reorganize the ambassadors again to see how everything's going there just kind of like a check in and connect. 15 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) To see if there's any questions, concerns or things they're seeing or any other information they might have to they might have to give them. And then we'll slowly start to plan some forms in the spring to get some more information out and then kind of take it from there. So very happy with the way that process is is going right now too, so. 16 "Canajoharie CS
006BoE" (1432903680) Pretty much my updated. Any questions comments? I just wanted the ambassadors, so back to the student report maybe welcome. 17 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And so there really haven't been many school days since now in the last meeting. It was like probably less than two weeks, I'd say. So a lot of time off. But a couple things have happened, the concerts have all wrapped up for our music. 18 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) So, our programs are now moving forward. The band is beginning their preparation for musical competition that will be in May at Dairyan Lake up towards Buffalo. It's up near, it's like just outside of Buffalo. Okay cause that's a new location, yeah. 19 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) I think you've ever been there before. Okay sorry so this is something that
007happens every other year. I believe this is just gonna be a day trip, most I think past years that I've been on the trip and. 20 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) They've done it. It's, sometimes it's an overnight trip usually somewhere further, but I think they just decided that they're better off doing a day trip that's a little less expensive and so everyone can go and perform and it's always fun and they spend the day to bark. 21 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) We got started on the last day before break, so all the classic winner started traditions, you know, ugly sweater competition, they do holiday skids, just games, competitions, San San the elves visit during during breakfast. 22 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And we all we all eat together and it's very just nice way to
008send everyone off before the holidays and just like enjoy the atmosphere of our school communities before everyone goes off to spend time with their family over the break. It's a fantastic day. 23 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) So on that same day that we had started, like I previously mentioned last meeting we had the Senate advisory council, which three seniors participated in Lady Hodge Caitlin Prentice, and myself. 24 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) So, we left around one, I think we were accompanied by the history teacher, mr. Parker. He went with us in Chaprone. We included a full for capital building, which is a very, very beautiful building. 25 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And that's always open to the public, but we had a very rare inside tour of the actual like send chamber where all the
009state centers sit and vote online, so usually they don't even hold the public tours to that area, you have to be fighted to to go in there in that area, it's very secret. 26 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Sort of private, couldn't couldn't touch anything in the room and touch any chairs for the keep your hands down and even even the person doing the tour for us said he'd only been in there once or twice cause it's that, you know, special and restricted. 27 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And like such a privilege to to be in that room, which was very special. And after the four, I concluded in presentations from all the participating groups of students, so it was a bunch of of schools all around our senate, our, our Senate and state Senate district.
01028 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And we all presented our own personal mock bill ideas so in the end it what I really took away from it was, you know, one place in the room with such exceptional students from just all over new York. 29 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) A lot of schools that are far larger than canary, you know, such as, you know, all being high school, those schools. You know, I can speak with NO doubt that the way that we represented our school was, was phenomenal and. 30 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) We exceeded expectations and I think we clearly stood out amongst the other schools and her team noticed that and overall we did a really good job of you know our topics were very, very relevant and I think things that were achievable.
01131 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) It was just very exciting to see it all come together. Could you spell that out a little bit more about what your ideas were or? Well Caitlin and Livy worked in a group together, they were together. Theirs was about. 32 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) In New York State making the AP purposes like free in the way that that we at Candyberry don't have to pay for our AP classes and taking the test cuts off. 33 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Our economic status. So it's essentially opening that up to the rest of the state so that the AP courses wouldn't have a paywall so that students taking that without worrying about affording it. And mine. 34 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) It was about, like brill solar stuff so it was essentially
012trying to, you know, designatize the whole burnal solar thing by really opening up compromises to local communities, trying to make them feel more control of the situations. 35 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) So like, I'm not sure about, I can't remember like what the specific numbers I put on in board were, but based off how many megawatts or how big your field was, there was like a certain allocation and energy credits that you would have to give to the community or like, like. 36 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Next like necessary public buildings like schools or police station and buyer departments and you would allocate some of that money or like a percentage of the energy generated by that certain field to those those buildings. And there's also. 37 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) To maintain the fields
013and, trying to get the fields on non farm land, so prioritizing like fields that would do dual purpose farm use, so you do farm land to generate electrics. 38 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Panels to supporting. 39 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Agriculture, which is on the client right now and it's kind of in an unfair situation with the rise of with the rise of solar in Rural america. So that was what mine was about and yeah, we did a very good job. She complimented, you know, both of our presentations. 40 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) I thought they were very, very pertinent. She was telling me that morning that she actually was going out or to you know visit she was visiting with farmers that morning over addressing solar issues. 41 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And so
014the topic was very fresh for her, which was which was amazing. But yeah, it was great. All right, thank you so suspectful things with their sports, the boys marcy basketball team one of the tournament that they host here. 42 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Our boys polling team who's well under their season are still unfeated. They haven't conceded any points nor lost a match. Fortunately tonight, they're facing off against another undefeated team, which is johnstown. So they. 43 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Might pull through, I don't know, it's, it's a big match though, so they're doing wonderful with the the speaker series that we're doing in the in the history department is doing for the seniors. 44 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Amsterdam Mohawk's baseball team, general manager of Medie Myers came in and spoke to the
015seniors. Great as part of and talked about, you know, working her way up and the importance of finding met our mentor mentorship and just building like relationships in professional world. 45 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) But this was some students even actually reached out to her after the presentation, I think for possible internships, which is, you know, precisely what the speaker series is being done for. It's bringing like important people from our community. 46 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Who are in fields that our students might be interested in and get internships, you know, make it connections and get people job and career ready. And I believe tomorrow we're having Jeff Smith, who's the. 47 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) County sheriff come in and speak to us. So that's also great for any students who are interested
016in any law enforcement career and yeah there's plenty more in the speaker series to come so. 48 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Any questions comments? Thank you very much. Okay, so we will move on to the moment for consent agenda question. 49 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Thank you. 1st thing is minutes, any questions or comments there? Okay moving on to bills, anyone besides me? Just have a few there number 68 oh 17. 50 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Northern's parent and Child society. Sorry specialized placement. Anything. And then we have the trade trade pay, credby pay? Yes, that one. That is the company that took over for Walmart. So any. 51 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Thing we get it through Walmart is paid to this tremby pay now. 52 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And then the healing
017jewel of gassage. That was the wellness day that we had in October. Wellness day. Okay, thank you. Okay, anything else on those? 53 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And move on to budget transfers, anything there? Okay, and then the treasury report, I don't think ok and then the agreement with those? 54 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Okay and so I would entertain a motion to approve the agenda for the approval discussion. Second, all in favor? Thank you. Moving on to personnel, we have a leave request. 55 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) For any pending childbirth of anything there ok and then score keeper, ok? I guess we could just leave request promotion to approve. 56 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Are you a second. All a favor, and you point the squadkeeper, second, second. All a favor, you Moving
018on to new business. 57 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) We have to renew our our wishing policy. Spend a thousand dollars a year for our state district students, any comments, questions or discussion? 58 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) What is that thousand dollars currently being paid? Is it one month some? We could break up into two. Have we had any issues with outstanding balances over? It gets closed sometimes here. Yeah. 59 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Any other questions, comments? Second, second, thank you for paper. 60 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Yeah just a reminder that the April meeting will be on the, the 15th instead of the 16th, so just put that in your calendar. Is that four planning? 61 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) I think that should be here. Yeah. Is it a Wednesday meeting? Yeah, that's
019why that's something yeah they want to change it to their day. So we'll keep on that but I'm a little thought of being here because of the last one. 62 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) And that'll be a big one just to let you know and give you a heads up, we'll have six or seventeens and breakouts and the teams, we'll also have a regular business budget meeting. We also have. So, give me a couple of one thing with new business that is not on the agenda that I'm just share it with you. 63 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) But when I, when we plan the meeting I I suggested that an additional topic, you know, that when you're talking about topics, I'm going to receive a report back on how we move AI. 64 "Canajoharie CS
020BoE" (1432903680) Because I'm really curious to hear about that and you know certainly very current. So just to give you a heads up on the presentations, we'll go February. I'll have our energy manager. 65 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Percent now March. We'll do guidance in AP and do an AI update on AI. April will do ADLA math social studies and science and then May will do equity inclusion one. 66 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Okay, just quick. Okay, I wouldn't change the ocean to move into executive session. Second. All in favor? Yeah. 67 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Well, that was a quickest committee next board every more meeting now we just need this. What was it you using? No. Yeah. 68 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) Well, he's going the 20th to put out the 1st round
021of what her, what here. 69 "Canajoharie CS BoE" (1432903680) What should go home?
