001My mother used to do that all the time, and the United States of America and the republic she represents. One nation under God, indivisible, with freedom and justice for all. The mission of public schools is to bring together pupils, parents, staff and the community to provide a high-quality education, with a focus on developing the full potential of each individual. I move that the agenda be approved, adding the most important items. Motion to approve the agenda with the addition of the main points. Can I have a second? Everyone's in favor . Everyone in favor? I need a request for approval of the correction in order to approve the minutes of 18 May 2026 and 22 June 2026. The correction of the surname Demar and the first name Katie on June 22, 2026 in the open forum

002for citizens who contact the school board. Request for approval of the correction and one second. All members are in favor . I am in favor of approving routine business, including the approval agenda, the agenda boards, the board's legislative proposals, and the approval of the meeting. Request for approval of the consent agenda. One second, one second. All members are in favor. Is there a policy regarding the acceptance of gifts? Decision regarding the acceptance of gifts. I tried, I need to hear it if you want me to . So, we have the American Legion. School supplies worth $225 for the fourth or third grade of elementary school. All members are in favor. Legal advisors for the discussion in the district. This is being brought up so that we can grant you permission to hire some legal advisors

003to represent our school. We have a small committee that will work on this with you . We want to make sure that it's finished. We will have everything ready by January so that we can provide the board with information about legal advisors by January 8th . There are no measures in place to address this. These are just points for discussion. Does anyone else have anything to say about this proposal? Yes . This was discussed. So we just need to make sure that Nathan, Sharon, and I take care of it . Memorandum of understanding between the Holy Public School District and the Holy United Educators FUD to establish conditions for online teaching assignments and compensation for overload assignments. This is a point for discussion and action. Yes . So, um, ch, care chairperson, the um...this would

004give teachers who already have a full teaching load the opportunity to take over a class. It is not an everyday teaching assignment, but they would be responsible for supervising some students , meeting with them when necessary, and reading some papers or assignments. These tasks cannot be carried out through the office here under the existing contract , and then only a kind of supervision of the student courses can be undertaken. They don't teach the course every day, but they can do so during their preparation time. This will offer our students more opportunities to work online alongside traditional lessons. Will this also give students the time to come to these classrooms if needed? That would be that person. When the children are online in the school district, it may not be the time when they are actually

005working on it, but they can be in that classroom. Only at this time can they sometimes help a student who may be taking a course. If the student is unsuccessful, the teacher can contact this person . Is this also available for you in Spanish? Um, in this situation with Spanish , sir, we could explain that in more detail. But we would assign another teacher to the teacher who would ultimately teach Spanish 4, who would receive an online course , so that the teacher has time to teach Spanish 4, which would allow us to offer it. In fact, the teacher who teaches Spanish 4 will probably do the overload in English and then teach Spanish. OK. So she will either teach during her preparation or do the overload. This can happen during their preparation or asynchronously.

006OK. You know, if a student sends her an email, she can answer it before school, after school, during preparation, or whenever she needs to . She needs to inquire about the student. Um, but it will free up this opportunity to get Spanish back on track. OK. And our students didn't have to go to class to receive the credit for Spanish. Correct. Great. It seems like a good solution to the problem. Are there any further questions, concerns, or discussions on this topic? Application for approval. 2. Are all members in favor? I would like to thank Mr. Fox for this idea. Yes . The next point is the question of understanding between what we call the school district and the educators regarding the supervision of speech pathologists, er, clinical fellows. This is a discussion and a measure.

007So we have hired two brand new language teachers and we have one experienced language teacher. The experienced language teacher will supervise the new teachers as needed and take care of the additional work she will be doing for two of our new teachers. We love to develop our own employees in our building and give them the experience they need. Does anyone have any further questions? I just want to point out that I always appreciate it when we pay for extra work and don't just expect someone to be a team member or something like that. There are moments for that, and there are moments for things like scholarships. So I appreciate both efforts, provided they are appropriate. An application for approval will be submitted. Application for approval. I agree. Everyone is in favor of it. I am

008in favor of the performance and immigration plan from 2026 to 2029. This is a point for discussion. We have a new one, right? It is right in front of you. This Performance Integration Plan is a consortium of districts working together to provide services to all our students in the districts. The idea behind this is that you help integrate opportunities for identified students. In our district, there are no schools that are categorized according to ethnicity. However, we are joining a school district that has schools considered to be ethnically segregated districts . This program provides a council that meets at least once a year. We have opportunities to provide our students with experiences. We also receive government funding for this program and offer these opportunities to the students, ensuring that we provide the students with trained staff

009. Do you know how much money we get for this ? Approximately 15,000 per year. Does anyone have any further questions? I need to make a few changes . There are some guidelines from the Ministry of Education. Once you have the changes, we will forward them to the board. I want the board to approve it tonight. We are submitting an application for approval. Application for approval of the changes, the pending changes. And one second. All members are in favor. I. So we have our annual review of the guidelines, discussion and decision-making. 506 Discipline 722 Public Data and Data Subject Inquiry 806 Crisis Management Policy. I would like to discuss this. I was unable to participate in all the important changes. Legal questions or comments relating to this directive required action. Application for approval of the

010guidelines and a second one. All members are in favor. I refer the policy, which requires a review, discussion, action, fourth and final reading, and ask the school committee to comment on the following. Guideline 709, Guideline on safety during student transport. Then Directive 518 and 622 will be read again, and Directive 709 on the transport of pupils. So we will discuss it. I think we've already talked about this a few times . And only because something changes on June 15th. We will therefore submit a request for approval of this policy, unless someone has something else to say. Application for approval. And a second one. All members are in favor . I am assigning the policy that requires discussion. For the second reading, and request the school committee to comment on guideline 208, Development, adoption and implementation

011of guidelines. Directive 402, Directive on the non-discrimination of persons with disabilities. Guideline 507.5, School Representatives. Directive 509, Enrollment and of pupils who are not resident in the school service. Directive 624, Online Teaching. Directive 722, public data and requests from data subjects. We are not discussing these guidelines. OK. Fundamental aspects like changes to the MSD don't affect anything we don't do. Nothing concerning our district handbook for 2026 and 2027. Discussion and measures for parents of students. Each school has its own . So we will discuss the principles . Which one first? Mr. Hoover, would you like to go through yours first ? She raised hers first. I did n't want to challenge you today. So, dear board members, this is the FBS section of the district's student handbook. And there are a few changes to the

012wording. Kelly, if you scroll through the "Arrival and Discharge" section , the changes here are only intended to make the pick-up and drop-off practices a little clearer for parents . In the first paragraphs, for example, we ask that parents take their children on the passenger side of the vehicle whenever possible , so that they can get out directly onto the curb and do not have to get out on the parking lot side of the parents' exit and then walk around it . Um, down there's a small section that dates back to an old practice where parents were asked to wait outside to say goodbye, etc. That was common back then. That's no longer necessary. Um, the planned sections, there's only a minor change in wording. Um , it says the same thing as before, just

013worded slightly differently. Um, a child in primary school is considered to be of compulsory school age if a contract is concluded with a student. Um, this concerns excused absences and, following Lee, when students are considered to be genuinely present, when we contact the parents and the county to inform students and their attendance history if they have excused absences, and when it technically reaches the status of truth and we are obliged to forward this situation to the county. Just one situation. The biggest one for a little more. There you have it. The section on personal mobile phone costs is the section of the manual that contains the most changes. Some of it is just splitting hairs. If you look in the middle, we describe the medical exemption from the policy for students, which requires students to

014put away their devices when they enter the building and not use them or access them until the end of the day. The exception to this would be students who need access to a device for medical reasons . An example of this could be a student who needs to monitor their blood sugar levels and requires access to a mobile phone with an app that shows them their values. Our innovation lies in the fact that we have presented and accepted something that has emerged in recent years. Parents wanted their children to be able to use a mobile phone or smartwatch during the day for GPS tracking and monitoring their child's exact location. The problem is that the child still has access to this smart device and can continue to read text messages , make phone calls, play

015games, etc. Therefore, we had to remove this exception , as it is not a medical exception. So we simply inserted a text tailored to this situation and then reiterated that personal electronic devices must not be used, shown or used during the day and that they must be put away . And if the use violates the manual or disrupts the learning environment, they will be confiscated and the parents will be contacted to ensure that they are not returned. This is the biggest change in the primary school sector. Do so many children in K2 bring mobile phones with them? There aren't many, but the device we see most often is not the mobile phone, but the smartphone. Yes . And because it is a personal electronic device, it has many of the same functions as a mobile

016phone. It falls under this category, so it must be addressed there. Um, and that's basically the end of our ... Oh, there's information about excursions on the website. Uh, we don't have a section about volunteer opportunities in the handbook. We have a section about "Get Involved". Parents can only find this information on the website. So this is the change. Um, I think that's it. Questions? Mr... Yes, we have a few... Um, as Adam said, a few classic things, changes to wording, and a few minor things now that I'm going into my second year. But firstly, if you go like “Our/Read” , we have a little more time this year for lunch, uh, also for resources. 30 minutes? This year it's 40 minutes for lunch break and break for the fourth to eighth grades, so that

017has been adjusted, um, grade levels of the student language. Um, one thing will deal with the arrival and pick-up procedures, so last year, when I was working through a few things, um, that was a small change that I communicated to the families here around February. So we had a few different procedures for dismissing the students during the school day . Um, part of it was to make sure that the students were entering and exiting through our main door and that we had confirmation that the students were being handed directly to a parent . Um, part of it is that an identification document may be required. Sometimes we get calls from mothers who call and say, "Hey , it's school day. Grandma is picking Jamie up from school." So we do n't always work with Grandma.

018We do n't necessarily know the grandmother, and we're just making sure they have proof that it's Tuesday , and we can also check these things . Um, so this was something I communicated last year just to make sure it was in our handbook and that we referred students to their parents/guardians at that time. Then parents and guardians can make their decision about what is best for them, and their consequences . That was something I somehow – I don't want to use the word – adopted from Eric and Jod. They have been working on it. Um, so I worked with Jod on this party policy before she left last summer . We have examined and evaluated this over the past year . Um, it was just a bit clunky, but you'll see that the new guideline

019is a bit sleeker. Um, she's pretty clear about the threshold for delays if there are communication plans in place and a consequence has been signed. The last one, in the fourth year, was a teacher allocation for a restricted lunch. Teachers do n't really do this side of things . That's more like me and our students in the building. So it's a somewhat clearer process. Um, please use this language for trimester, as we will be making a change for our seventh and eighth years and also for the sixth year . Um, but it's simply a clear process. Um , so that was also updated there , regarding the threshold and those things . Um, we don't offer hybrid participation; it's either e-learning or face-to-face instruction. So that was cancelled. I will also talk about our grid

020in general. There were a few things regarding behaviors in our grid. It was about reckless driving. Um, they're just things, there are only a few , there are three or four things, like cars. It was about reckless driving, parking wherever you are; these things were removed, or you can get there by car. Um, the other part of this grid, if you scroll down , Kelly, we have a grid here. So there are a few things, um, we have one that specifically relates to bomb threats, but we also have things like threatening language. So there were a few things that were redundant. Also at the bottom of this grid. Everything related to our bus discipline and so on is a school board policy on bus discipline. There is also a statement that refers to this guideline

021discipline. This was redundant with regard to significant suspensions and status reviews. They have an expiration date for mobile phones during the daytime absence. So you see its expiry date, and then there is a text at the bottom with a corresponding note. So we had some formulations in our manual that specifically dealt with the exclusion of students from school defense based on certain behavioral criteria . The government has really pushed in recent years to ensure that we cannot exclude children based on certain behavioral criteria that have been introduced, except when they are actually being expelled from school. This has therefore been taken into account in this text. And I believe this will be the last text to be struck through . I believe it's on page 18 and will also be the other one, insofar as

022it concerns some formulations regarding the activities of the student council. There were several statements indicating that students were not allowed to comply with certain requirements, guidelines, and the like . These are things we can't do with students . We need to work with the students to ensure that we support them and give them access to all our social networks. Still questions? I would like to say that I greatly appreciate your commitment this term, your efforts in introducing the program, giving them more time, and sending them outside. I forgot to mention in my video , when I mentioned it in the last newsletter, that we have also included breaks for the fourth to eighth grades. So I forgot to mention that they are built-in. I work with our seventh and eighth grade teams because the break

023would then look a bit more unconventional. So how do we structure part of this time during the winter months for the eighth grade students? We are considering using this time as a consultation or profit-making phase. I'm working on that. I still have some time for the winner, but I would like to get some more feedback from our team so that we can make it happen . So we're working on it. I appreciate that . Yes, of course. Thank you very much, Mr. Foss. Similar to the other buildings, just a few minor changes. We removed a few things that were no longer accurate. To be honest, back then we changed the word "Will" to "May". When it comes to standards-based grading, if a zero is assigned in one standard , the student cannot pass. So we

024change it to "May". We can look at the next point below , which talks about nicotine pouches and caffeine pouches. I've been following the news lately. Sins are very popular, but you have the child. They are available as nicotine pouches, but they also sell caffeine pouches. And they say, "Well, it's just caffeine." I will not argue about what caffeine and nicotine are. You do n't need a whole tablet of caffeine at school. We will simply treat all these points the same . We will not be training these things . Um, oh, I crossed out the section about the regional learning center programs because if you go up a little bit , there's something about alternative learning locations at the high school . That was really redundant. So I removed one of the two sections .

025It makes no sense to have all of this here. Scroll down . Um, that little bit on the right, video and audio recordings. The acceptance of privacy was stated there. Images were not mentioned, but video and audio recordings were not mentioned either. Some people say, "Wow, I did n't take a photo. I recorded a video ." OK. Um, for the next point we'll start with the word "student center". There is no longer a student center in front of the building. I hope that exists, and then I added additional options for online motor lessons, so I think that's it. Well, in the past, PSO students were allowed to be in the media center when they were in the building. We send them to the classroom of the teacher who is responsible for online learning. We must

026allow them to be in the building. Um, but when they're in the media center , they can sometimes distract the whole class. So ask them more Superent questions. Thanks. Thanks. We will submit an application for approval of the student handbooks for 2026 and 2027. Uh, there have been some changes in the recent activities , or is that just because everything is included? Oh, these are all new parts. Excuse me. Well, I understand, because as has already been explained to me, I thought you would only be suggesting changes. I need an application to approve all activities. We have one second to approve everything related to the activities. My only comment on this. Well, they're simply waiting to approve it, and they have to...they can wait to approve everything at once . I think we'll wait with

027the approval until we have everything complete . I thought, "Yes, I think I'm okay with approving everything, but I just want us to have a plan, get this clarification, or even... I mean, you know, maybe we're approving everything with the intention of getting some clarification about what these changes are, right? I mean, because we can always re-approve changes next time if necessary, right? So, maybe it's because if it's just something , you know, Mr. Minutes Taker is obviously not here because the activities meeting is in progress. Um, but if it's just something really insignificant and we've only postponed it by a month , that's ridiculous to me , or if it's something that has to go back and forth, there'll be a new draft next time anyway. I would also think they want people to

028get this done tonight. Yes. Or all of this within the next week, a week and a half more than... Yes, the whole process. Oh, they're presenting it tonight. It's not approved yet. So, I think I I mean, I don't think there's any reason to wait until next time. We don't know what the changes were. So, if necessary, we can hold a special meeting next week because we also have a few new hires . Okay. So, I mean, if necessary, we can hold a special meeting next week for May. It does n't have to be a long meeting, but there are a few new pairs that need to be approved . So, I think we'll leave it at that for now and wait until next week to update you on all the changes. Make sure everything

029is correct. In this case, I support the motion to approve everything except the activities. Everything except... Okay, that was a motion. Okay. Those who are for it, me. Okay. 2026 2027 Staff Handbook Recommendations Changes Discussion Action. We only have a few changes for this. Uh, to start with, it's about the standard response protocol we use to lock down more individualized emergencies. Our bus rules now comply with Policy 709, which we just approved. And so we removed what was there in the past and copied and pasted it into parts of the policy . Sorry. Yes. With the staff handbook, which deals with user service and how we document it. Of course, we adhere to the existing contracts, but we also have to understand as employees that leisure time is something we try to limit and prevent.

030So when such situations arise, we try to do this as much as possible. So is there only one person who has to approve unpaid time off? It starts with the director or headteacher, and then two people have to approve it, and sometimes it's the case that someone has used up all their free time and has a sick child. Therefore, they need to take more time off or reduce their work. We do everything we can to ensure that our staff arrive at the expected times , as much as possible. That's important for our staff. That 's further. Oh yes. That applies if we are in negotiations and an employee resigns before the end of the school year , they do not receive time off. So if they finish the year, they would We'll come back and

031try to inform our staff. Any questions? Questions? Submit a request for approval by the Personnel Committee for 2026/27. Request for approval. I vote in favor . I'm preparing a budget enrollment report. This is yours, sir. Thank you very much . Good evening. Tonight we have again—I know we have a lot of small numbers here again, so I'll read them out for those who know that we have our enrollment tracking for the first report for fiscal year 2027. These are the figures from the beginning of August. In kindergarten, we have 101 pupils. In first grade, 116, in second grade, 131, in third grade, 145, which makes a total of 493 pupils in primary school. In fourth grade, we have 136, in fifth grade, 132, in sixth grade, 168, in seventh grade, 148, and in eighth grade,

032169 , which makes a total of 753 pupils in middle school. And then for 9th grade... Grade 159, 10th grade 142, 11th grade 129, and 12th grade 153. Uh, we also have 11 full-time online students, so that's 594 in total at the high school. And then we have a total of 1,240 students. And that's obviously important because the students need money for the county. Um, my question would be, given the discrepancy of about 30 students in the projection for elementary school, does that affect our class sizes or mean fewer students per class for those grades? Uh, we were still hoping to get more students into kindergarten, and how many students would that hypothetically affect our budget? I mean, right now we're 10 seconds off our projections for everything, and I do n't want to criticize

033elementary school. It just has the biggest discrepancy right now. I was wondering what the impact that might be on the budget. We, or I, call it school board math because it's very general. We calculate with about $10,000 per student. That means 153 students will receive $120,000 in the final year . But it also means we don't operate in a vacuum . Our projections also take our anticipated expenses into account. So we have to make certain decisions and cut spending as needed, depending on the number of enrollments . We're starting with this plan in fiscal year 27; the budget was approved in June. This plan is based on the best information available to us . Once we have information on projected revenues and expenses, we'll probably revise the budget in early January . Then we'll have

034more information to optimize , but we'll still be monitoring the situation. Um, and then my other question is: I know there's often, for lack of a better expression, a bit of a shopping spree at the beginning of the school year so people can find the school that's the best fit for them. Um, but how much will the fact that we're starting a little later this year because of the late workday affect enrollments, or people's hesitancy? Well, I would just say that compared to other districts and other years, it's all being pushed back . Um, it's just being pushed back, you know, it's basically almost a week later than normal. Um, so I would say that everyone is probably being pushed back another week , that's my estimate. Do you know how many children are enrolled

035in our preschool program this year ? Between three and five years old. I think we have 78 enrolled. That's the last number I heard. Do you know what the difference is between preschool and kindergarten ? On average, how many children go into kindergarten outside of preschool ? We don't capture all potential kindergarteners in kindergarten. Sure. Parents make different choices, whether it's a private daycare, childcare, or home care. So we don't capture all kindergarteners in kindergarten. I'd like to know if you have any data or trends on this that we can use to say, "We know that when we have this many children in kindergarten, we traditionally have this many." The number in kindergarten, 78, corresponds, imagine, to three and four five-year-olds. That would be two grade levels of students. Yes, I wanted to look further

036ahead. Not that I know of. No. OK. Does anyone have any further questions? I had one last question about this, just a historical one. And you might not know this off the top of your head, but where were we in the past in terms of accuracy at this point in time ? We have adjusted our forecast to reflect our actual figures. Do we even have a trend line? We know that we normally operate within these limits. I don't have this data. I know there weren't any last year. I was just curious what it's like for kindergarten. I know that we have apps that people use on social media. OK. We will continue to do so . I don't know if we're still working on it. We promoted our kindergarten program . They are next. The

037next item is our update from June 30, 2026. This is a repeat. We will discuss the end of the 2026 financial year, probably at least in another meeting, as we approach the end of the 2026 financial year. This is a busy time for the office. Although it is summer, our staff are working diligently to get the bookings to the right places, double-check the finances and close everything down as it needs to be in order to end the year. Furthermore, we are currently finalizing our collaboration with the auditors. The auditors are requesting information. We prepare reports and answer questions while they review our financial assessment for the end of fiscal year 2026 . As you can see, this is June 30, 2026. The date shown above is August 17, 2026, as of today. This is therefore

038preliminary. Once again, unfiltered. Things will continue to change. In fact, they have probably changed two or three times today, as more information is shifted to do what we do at this time of year . Based on the entries we have now, preliminary revenues from the general fund currently amount to approximately 26.73 million, which is about 150,000 above the revised budget we had expected. Expenditure from the general fund currently amounts to approximately 26.56 million, which is about 364,000 higher than expected. The largest expenditure discrepancies are still preliminary at this time, and we are still in the process of amending things and ensuring that we have classified the items correctly. The biggest discrepancies appear to be in the procurement of services and supplies. These amounts will be partially offset by benefits to employees that are currently below

039budget. We are continuing to review the underlying activities. We therefore warn you against drawing any conclusions yet . There is still much to be done, but based on these amounts, income from the general fund exceeds expenses. We therefore generate approximately 173,000 more revenue than expenses. This means that a slight increase or a positive change in the overall fund balance is reflected here. So that's one of the insights gained from it. The other equipment is still being checked. Gastronomy. Currently, income is shown as exceeding expenses. Currently, the use of the fund balance is moderate in community work. Construction activity accounts for the biggest difference between total income and expenditure. If you follow what's happening outside, you'll see that a lot of work is being done . We have a project to improve indoor air quality. Some

040of the differences are that more construction work was completed and reported than we had expected for the period in the revised budget , but the project remained pretty much within the over-approved budget. So there are a few items we'll look at. However, much of the associated financing for the construction was booked last year, and there is still much to be done. I think it's nearing its end now. So much work has already been done. Overall, this comparison provides an initial indication of where the district stands in relation to the revised budget . But here too, the annual accounts are not yet finalized. We still have a lot to do; there is still a lot of work ahead of us. Once we are finished, we will present these results and also include the audit, which, to

041my knowledge, is scheduled for September . Earlier than last year, but that's still pending. How do we answer questions? All questions relate to report evaluations and discussion points. Does anyone want to discuss this? Would you like to begin? You're welcome to . So we conducted a year-end review of these two positions. We assessed the communication, the community's commitment, the finances and the board's strategic plan, the goals or overall performance, and the expectations. So we think you're doing a great job if you're trying to find your way around a building you have n't seen before. There was a lot to learn in this building. There were also many things that happened before you were even here, things you had to throw yourself into or deal with , depending on how you want to put it. Um,

042and with everything that's been going on , we know there have been many setbacks throughout the year , and we appreciate your hard work and the many hours you've had to invest over the past year, because we all know that when you start something new, nothing ever goes quite as planned . So there is a lot to do. Um, there's still a lot to do. Therefore, we have set ourselves some goals for the coming year 2026/27 that we want to achieve and work on to advance our district . Strategic planning will be one of them. Student performance, opportunities for students and financial responsibility for 2026/27. Does anyone else have anything to add? Um, in my opinion, the districts have been put in a difficult situation, and I think very few people have dealt with all

043the different challenges that come with an IQ project, negotiations, and budgetary issues. I do n't think there are many people who could have mastered all of that as well as you. I would like to thank you for that and look forward to next time. Furthermore, I really like the goal structure, which has deadlines and doesn't mean waiting a year until it's achieved. I think that's a good structure. And, Madam Chairwoman, I think everyone else thanks me. I know that we have defined our financial situation much better today than we did a year ago. We are obviously learning, and I thank you for the way you have helped us with our negotiations. We were late, but you helped us through it, and we stayed within our financial means and got the job done. I really appreciate

044that. Do you have anything else to say? Well, thank you very much. I appreciate the process very much. I am happy to hear how things are going and about suggestions for improvement. And I look forward to us agreeing on how these goals will be structured. Information and reports for administrators. Mr. Cool. Your contribution is at the top of my list . I don't want to criticize you today. Promised. On other days I might criticize you, but not today. In fact, your contribution is listed first here . So, there's nothing new to report tonight. Um, apart from the fact that the employees are now actually coming into the building, activity is increasing rapidly, which is good. It's a nice transition to the school year. So we have the year, it's fun. Mr. Poss. Well, the first

045day of activities, I know Matt isn't here to talk about it, but uh, there was a lot of activity in the building again . Um, the numbers seemed solid across all our activities . We know we have a construction project and there's a lot of tidying up and finalizing to do before we're ready to start, but I think we're on the right track to making it happen . So it's an exciting time. Mr. Yes, I know I said this in the back session and in the last meeting of the school board, but I just want to say a big thank you to Paul. I know he worked really hard to get everything done that had to do with the high school , cleaning up the middle and elementary school, but just the entire staff. I

046cannot thank him enough for all our work for the school. Um, there's not much going on in terms of food yet, but we'll get to it and clean today . And all the directors left a few weeks ago, so please give Mr. Jacobs some encouragement; I've only heard good things about you lately . Speaking of the IQ project, I'm in the same boat as him, IQ, but I have a wish for you. Yes . Um, when the newsletter comes out in August, there will be a lot of videos from me. So I will limit myself to things that are not in the video . There's a lot about the IQ project, how the thermostats work, how I can override them, and all that stuff. So I will limit myself to a few things we have

047already worked on. I've wanted to show you this for years. This is the playground for the primary school. Okay, they both weigh the same. They weigh about 950 grams. But if you look closely and see the size of the new and old wood shavings, you can see the decay, which is why you have to follow the film . I know that you have to maintain 30 cm of compressed wood chips anyway, which means you have to fill in about 35 cm to get to 30 cm. So, because of this mess, we replaced 200 meters of wood shavings. And it was n't so easy to remove the top . The top had to be removed and set aside so that the bottom could be removed. Um, Mr. Pat, the city administrator, was very accommodating and allowed

048us to bring all the old wood shavings there free of charge . And then we had to move the shavings that were on top down and then bring in the new shavings to put on top. So it was almost like I always say, this little game with a small square that is open. Everything must be moved. So that's what we did . Now we wait. Unfortunately, all the 6x6 beams are used up. So we have to replace them all. Unfortunately, we have to go to the hardware store. Guess what? We have 6x6 beams. When you arrive there, what is it? These are all remaining stock items. I did n't really want to deal with it later , but they'll probably be gone this week. We hope you install it and level and edit everything. So

049that's the only thing that's not in these videos . We managed to get a walk-in freezer for Glory. We got it from Becker. They have a new walk-in freezer. They sold me their $10,000 freezer for $1,500. Nice. So he's only three years old and works perfectly for our forum. It is designed for our special diets. We can store all of this in the freezer and have more of it. Yes . Mhm. So, one of the things we do there is, here you see a used seat, right? What happened is that the veins on these old ones aren't in such great shape anymore. You can see them wearing down and peeling off. And with the new ones you can see that they have a better base and are screwed to the seat . This pair costs

050about $33 and we make about 60 of them per year. That adds up to a few thousand dollars . Well, with the lunch tables coming into the elementary school, and the old elementary school lunch tables that we're going to bring into middle school, we've replaced everything we could with the old Octopus seats to save a few thousand dollars, because there are better seats available, but all of this takes a lot of time. Um, you see, the old models only have a 20mm screw and a lock nut. The new ones actually fit into a small octagonal cutout, so they don't have that, I don't know if children get bored, but um, it just wobbles around after a while. So those were just a few things we worked on, apart from trying to clean all these rooms

051and the lighting and things like that. And I believe in this context we had...we had...it wasn't like we have the building and land committee. We had a kind of coaches' meeting with coaches who we thought were out there , and we went through the things that were important to them . Um, for example, we talked about how irrigation is the most important thing. In order. So we'll start working with the few dollars I had available. We will be working on the cabling, as the cabling will be routed to the baseball field . So, for example, we will get a cable and lay the wiring there . We'll probably install a control panel out there, instead of in the pond shed, so someone can access it from there instead of having to go there. There were

052concerns that the water would drain into the pond, as this retention pond is the only way to bring water to the fields . Therefore, we are again speaking with the city administrator about a float system, similar to a toilet cistern. We have a float switch, so we don't need city water when necessary, and thus still have water without overusing it and ensuring good water quality. So those were some of our discussions, especially about the discus. We involved all stakeholders; they were all there to talk about all the things they saw as shortcomings . And then I have a list, you know, simple, and so we will begin to deal with the irrigation tasks that we consider most important. Since autumn is here and there's nothing going on outside , we'll concentrate on irrigating the fields

053, cutting them back for sprayers and watering cans, and starting to improve the soil . So we had this meeting, and we're going to accomplish a lot from it now . That's it. In order . Questions for Mr. Jacobs? Thanks. Well, a few things. I would really like to thank the Department of Buildings and Grounds, the caretakers and all the work they have done this summer, and especially for the work they will be doing in the coming weeks to ensure that our schools, and in particular the high school, are ready and tidy to welcome our students and staff . I would also like to thank the Department of Child Nutrition for once again providing dinner for our upcoming open house . It looks like it's going well. As you have heard, our project to improve

054indoor air quality is not quite finished yet, but it is on its way . We've had some problems with some of our companies getting the materials in time, and we're waiting for some of them to be delivered. But it looks like we are on track to have everything ready by the first day of school and by the first days when staff return, and also that we are receiving notifications at our high school who are at home. There will continue to be checks and assessments to ensure that everything is correctly adjusted by autumn. However, this is a normal process that continues when everything restarts, and it must continue. Contract negotiations to uphold the principles. I attended a back-to-school conference organized by MD, where an essay was written that I was supposed to attend every year, and

055it was very positive. It contained good information on the upcoming topics for the school year and also potential ideas for topics that we should consider in the next legislative period. Thank you. Committee reports. The tax committee is meeting today. End. I thought we had a lot on our agenda, and I said from the beginning that it was ambitious, but we actually accomplished everything. The main part begins with the curriculum cycle. We are the master who leads the team, and we want to restart the curriculum cycle after it hasn't existed for several years. Um, that's a very big task, but the things that need to be done cannot continue without an update to the curriculum . We were shown the Stop-It program. I do n't know if you want to talk about it. Secure. It's about

056the program we're going to introduce. It is an anonymous reporting process for students, parents and the community to report situations they believe should be reported via email, telephone or SMS. It is monitored around the clock. It is connected to law enforcement . This means we meet the requirements for 2028, which the legislator legally established last spring. And we believe this is a good opportunity for our students to report and document these problems . We know exactly, and then we also know exactly when they occurred, and so on. We can also chat with the person who made the report anonymously. We can contact them if they are willing to give us more information. That's very positive. And then it is also connected to our law enforcement center , so that we can get it if something

057happens during the day or especially at night or outside office hours, as it is monitored around the clock, so that the company can report this to our police immediately. Yes . And then we were kept up to date on the IAQ project, went through the standard response protocol we use, and there was an update on the ALC parking lot, informing the committee about what is happening there . There is no new information yet. I had a meeting just to inform you. I participated in a virtual meeting with Mr. Foss , which the county published regarding this matter, and I was to receive a dollar amount, which they would like, to determine what it would cost to repeat this payment for the school share later this week. We all know that this part needs to be

058done. That's not a problem now, but it probably was a problem a few years ago, before this project started. Wellness in the moment. Building and terrain update. Finance Committee. Health and safety. When school starts. Secure. Guidelines Committee. Contract negotiations. Opportunity for comments from board members. Patrick, would you like to start? Secure. Um, we had to say goodbye to Grace Bergstrom. She was one of our primary school music teachers. She is moving on and, in my opinion, was a fantastic presence at our school. Um, I met Grace Gstrom when I played music with her in a city band . And that's why I would like to wish her the best of luck for her future. I know it was n't an easy decision for her to move, as she said, but yes, I truly appreciate everything

059she has done for us. And it's not too late for children to participate in activities. I would like to take this opportunity to always remind people: even if you think you cannot afford for your child to participate in an activity, we will create a way for your child to participate. Whether it's a reduced fee or something at the school, if your child wants to participate and you think you can't afford it , we will work with you . So please contact the activities department. We are happy to help you. Gladly. First of all, my condolences to the family of Jan Panrock. And thank you so much, Jan, for everything you have done for Fley Public Schools and for what you have brought to our beautiful rural community. We are almost ready to open our doors

060to our classes in 2026 and 2027, and everyone is very much looking forward to it . I would like to thank our caretaker staff for their work and for completing all tasks . And um, I would like to thank the people who are running for office for their courage. And if they have any questions, they can contact Kelly or Dan or anyone else so that they can find out or tell them the dates for the meetings. I have just one comment for Paul. I have a love-hate relationship with these wood shavings because they don't work well with a police radio. I spent hours picking out the wood shavings. But thank you very much for your hard work. In Mora, they also use shredded tires. So, Chip Chip Rant, that's my position there. It says that

061my daughters come home every day with shotgun pellets that have been stuffed down my trouser legs, and then you call another guy, and he uses shotgun pellets, just like you. My kids come home with them. So you can't do that. And then, unfortunately, those who like to use them and place rubber bullets cost hundreds of thousands of dollars when they drive by. Yes, we all play with jewels. Oh, you have to see us. You have to... Okay, yes, I understand. I just want to remind everyone that on September 11th, the Hall of Fame inductees will be present; there are five inductees who will be at the home football game on September 11th . The football players will compete against their peers that evening, and the Lions will grill burgers, drinks, and chips. They'll probably just

062give you the drinks and we'll grill them, but that's what will happen. There will be an award ceremony honoring the donors for the waiting room and also the first responders in our community. So this will be a good evening to come to the football game and honor all these people . One more thing, thank you again, Paul, for everything you did this summer . I know that a boy recently came home from work wearing his brand new trousers, which weren't brand new anymore, but I didn't see him again before he went to work. So he took the nicest trousers he could find and made sure to work outside all day. It was wonderful. Um, and then I know, um, because our next meeting is after that, I want to make sure everyone knows about the

063Big Truck Night , because it's on September 17th. So, go there. Even if you don't have small children, everyone will enjoy it. And it is...Yes, it is a great evening organized by Kney and the preschool program . And that's huge. If you can make it this evening, it's a great program. And when the parking lot is full, lots of people come. So it's huge. It's a big party. That's it. And it's great. It 's a great dynamic for our community. Therefore, I have an open form for citizens to comment on this. Meeting announcements and events. Um, please understand that not all activities take place online. You can find out more online. We have an open day on September 92nd. September 2nd. Um, September 8th is our first day of school. Our regular board meeting will

064take place here in the interview on September 21st at 5:30 pm . Can I request a postponement ? Request for adjournment. Please give me a second. I support the application. All members are in favor. Thanks.
