Yeah. Oh, sorry. Yeah, that one's right. >> No, no, no. That one's not right. That's all. >> So, if you go here and here, >> would it be better for it to be PowerPoint? >> Facebook. Well, >> it's from the um Wacky Wednesday. We wouldn't want to put it on the internet as such unless we got all of the kids approved. >> I just thought it >> won't take that. They've had such fun and wacky Wednesday >> to the six. She is. Yeah, she just >> we are live just so you guys know. >> Okay, >> thank you. >> So until 5:30, that's when I invited the other board candidates to come. >> Oh, okay. Good. >> Uh we're going to just go look through budget, give you guys time to um there's multiple of
us out tonight. Jeie was at a meeting today in Albuquerque and so it was over at five so probably is not going to make it back. And then Mr. Ferguson also um is in a meeting till Wednesday. Um all of maintenance except one went to the state maintenance >> and he was invited to >> like that like it wasn't invited to travel because there was no weather. Okay. >> Not really. >> Like >> asking for help. >> It's asking for help. It's in slow motion and my work computer in good shape. like yes, >> it's the illusion of not many. I group them. So then like they get >> open top. >> That's what I got to say. to go shoot and I would tell them where to go. She go do a a technology
training. >> Thank you. Oh, for >> well now she has practiced like teaching you like right it's one thing to know something and it's another thing to like be able to tell now that she has >> like she would be like >> this like very needed >> need it >> I know you text me but I don't know that I responded I didn't I saw it. >> Tap that gift. >> Tap G when you were doing >> Oh, yeah. It's me. Look. >> You see? Look. It moves it on me. Yeah, I know. >> Why? >> Because we share it. We just share with you. >> That's what's cool. So then like if it was like a live document, like if we could edit it, we could be editing like, "Okay, Vanita, you work on
sections one, two, and three. I'll work on four, five, and six." I'm working on. >> Cool. >> Yeah. >> Or like So with our leadership meetings on Tuesday, if somebody knows they're going to be gone, they can insert whatever they wanted to talk about. >> Yeah. >> In advance. >> Well, that's cool. Makes it super pretty. >> Only if you meant to have give people share rights than otherwise. And that's the other piece of that is finally my computer started picking up like anything I put in this folder should be shared because at the beginning it only shares documents that you've asked >> right >> to be shared and then it kind of starts to figure out oh all the stuff in this is meant to be shared with these people. So it asks now
>> nice every single one I open. >> Yeah. All the all the hyperlinks were not is she had a 10? >> No, she'll be here. She's just not coming for finance. I mean, she just can't. I think she Well, she works till 5. So, >> yeah, that makes it hard. >> Or as far as I know. Last time I did shooting She responded. She said she's going to wash my hair. Okay. Should we let Windows and apps access our location, Mr. Jonathan? >> Oh, no. Oh, it asked me, but then it went away. I was like, oh. And I was already coming to tell you what to drop off wash stuff in another house. >> The first time >> you know what though like why address like sometimes it doesn't take like it won't take
the butler it calls it Washington >> or like his address doesn't exist for >> Yeah. for several things. Mine doesn't either. Like it won't let >> it with the school. >> Why use it? Who needs to fix it? >> I don't know. Because the our actual address is LS's address. >> Oh, >> whatever. >> Because we've had lots of people show up and not be able to >> find us. We do have new letters. >> Um shop their um plasma tables working now and so they made letters for the side of the building, too. So that way it'll mark we mark Dexter central office >> Dexter school. >> That's the biggest >> because they don't always associate it with the school. >> Yeah, that's what my husband can't find. Like I promise I'm here. But
Walmart would. And we tried Sam's and Sam's that they just be there. >> Oh, so Door Dash. >> Walmart deliver. >> Yes. I've been getting the Walmart delivery since like April or May. >> Third road. >> It's worth a shot. That's all I got to say to not have to go. >> Yeah. I've had really plugged in on the porch. >> I've had really good luck too. Like they I mean >> Walmart was reading these for the >> Are you reading these first >> the bars? Yes. >> The other stuff I went >> a lot. >> It was a lot. >> Yeah. >> Huh. You live in a little when you move into the camper. They'll deliver to the camper. >> No, they just recently started doing my house like like April. >> No. I
didn't know exactly right. Last time I checked it wasn't >> to the daycare. >> Oh, well to the daycare cuz she was going to order some stuff. >> By the time we get there, we get distracted with real. She's >> I have pretty good battery actually. I don't think I have to charge it. >> Okay. You sure? >> Yeah. It says delivery. delivery is available for himself to my house. I'm trying to dance too big, but I just pick up visually. I'm excited hoping that my kid runs in the morning. How is that tomorrow? >> It's on Thursday. >> 17th grade. It's so hot sometimes not that like cold in the morning from spring kids spring. Boy, do we have stories for you about your one? Yeah, it's doesn't let me down. I just do
pick up usually. I don't know. It's a mess to do pickup right now. Delivery boots target. I do if I go. If you guys would like to pack it like this whenever we get this nice pretty little >> Oh, okay. The choices that you make to not get a nice cut. >> I know. >> I have a whole packets, but it's this will work at I'm all I'm all reading that packet. It's free out there basically. No, it's not anything. I probably next time would I'd hit the like schoolboard handbook first and then I put the candidate handbook next. I'd probably just not put the school board also kind of good to have, but really the candidate one mirrors a lot of the same thing. And then basically where to find information for policy a
couple policies really wish that we went to that training they would just be like download it and print it. >> I know. >> I just took whatever list they gave us. I think they should. [Music] >> Yeah, the candidate I mean those books. So it would also be nice, I think, to have them available for people who are thinking about running. >> I think that that's when it's important because it's like they don't really >> know what they're getting into. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> It's like we practice like we feel the same way. >> Um yeah. No. No. But like just so they know because it is very um different maybe they envision available years from now. Yeah. >> Now, let me finish my buildings. >> Yeah, I know. >> Oh my goodness. started on
the roof already. So >> really, >> that's so good. A few years ago, that process they started she rock. >> It was pretty incredible where they like in terms of it was a new build because >> takes people a long time. Sometimes >> not sitting waiting on inspectors for gosh. >> Yeah. Yeah. So that was probably the bulk of the wave. So hopefully now I mean she rocks up. It looks completely different. >> Was the door closed? >> Yeah. >> So the kids let me in >> because Genie's not hearing the to it down >> and kids just let me in. So I didn't even know if it was locked or not. No. Oops. It's an open meeting if you could figure out how to get in. Yeah. Good thing we're on video things. We're
doing things. I didn't even think about it. There's kids walking out. So, there's something [Music] when they stop. Yeah, can't really slow down. either of y'all any any of y'all do sourdough >> I started too much >> so two starters CB1's gone two's gone named them >> yeah I started one pretty good and then some girl sent me so a little bit like when I had two at the Oh, that's a lot actually. >> Oh, no. >> Did you still have one? >> Huh? >> Do you still have one? No. >> I just wanted a good start or somebody else to get me one cuz my first one I started by myself now. It was going good. And then >> I bought some weird >> I did started and then I >> Oh, and I'm
doing gluten-free. >> I don't know. started. >> Yeah, my first one that I started did good for a while and then I I neglected her. >> So then I ordered one from someone too and that one just didn't she just didn't do well. >> I call her she I don't know why I just call me crazy but I'm like I have to go feed my feed it. >> Yeah. I'm like, I named mine. >> Yeah, Emma named mine diamond. >> I named mine, too. But >> I personally >> Yeah, you should do that with the kids cuz then they'll they won't forget. >> Yeah, they won't forget to feed it. >> They're not doing really well with their fish. >> You don't even have to feed a fish every day. >> They got fish. >>
We got a fish. wedding, [Music] right? >> That's why I said >> one of the easiest is expected to be like how can they leg? >> You need a little scooter. >> What? You need a scooter. >> I know. I can't do it. >> Oh, true. more therapy. >> Oh, yeah. I'm still going twice a week. I'll get there >> eventually. >> Is it a pretty gnarly scarf? >> No, this one's not near as bad as maybe four inches. >> Oh, yeah. Not the other one or in comparison. >> Was that a sports injury? like to say. >> It's okay. >> It was just walking. >> Yeah. But they accumulated. >> Yeah. >> After all the years over overuse. >> Yeah. Overuse from Don't say anything. We are on camera. So they they can repeat
it back over and over again. So >> yeah, we need to display when people walk in. Everything you do in the same manner will be and don't forget it. >> Don't forget it. >> Lis, do you have any questions about >> That looks pretty good. Looks like there's some inventory added or some >> Yeah, that's actually the fitness center was really I mean I guess I just was wondering why the fitness center was so low on the value. I knew there was something else [Music] the inventory. So the inventory or the fixed assets? >> The fixed assets. My god. >> My guess is based upon depreciation, but that's just my >> Yeah. Did you see it? >> Oh well. Certainly not what replacement cost. >> Exactly. Did you see that too? Why can't I find
Yeah. Appreciation based upon women not in a way we could be even golly we couldn't even get a door follow that. >> So in terms of and and these are questions that we would also need to ask J just to make sure this is not replacement cost this has to do with taxation. Uh, >> okay. That makes more sense. >> Yeah. So, like this is not what it's um being insured for. And for some reason, I can't find it now. I think it's on the first page of the like you'll notice like Lewis gym 1980 and then it comes back up multiple times too. I just can't find it even though for some reason when I click and I know it's here because I saw it. Okay. 25262. >> What's that? >> 1013. And then
is it under finance and facilities? >> Yes. >> And then after that, what folder? >> It's not in a folder. It's down at the bottom. The PDF. Access control approval of FY 25 schedule fixed assets. You see those? >> Oh, is it six pages? >> Yes. And like the first one says approval of FY25 schedule fixed assets, building improvements, land improvements, and equipment over 5,000 >> are added to this. >> I'm just going to share I'm just going to share it to you. >> I'm like, that's where I thought it was, but it's okay. >> We have the inventory deletions. Mhm. And then access control. And then it should also have approval of FY25 schedule. >> It must have approval of FY. >> Yeah, that's the FY25 schedule fixed assets. >> There we go. I
guess that's where I'm confused because it says current book value like that the last column. >> Yeah. So, so like Lewis Jim says 1.15 million which okay that seems >> but then when you see fitness center and it says $6,700 you're like >> So then there's another fitness center that's 360,000. >> Okay. I didn't see that one. >> It's on the first page down the three down from the bottom. So, if you kind of notice, >> oh, >> um, these first ones, >> the older they are, um, the less information they kind of provided and then as you go towards the newer, they were very specific. So, that way somebody could follow exactly what was done. So, >> yeah. So, now I'm seeing three fitness centers. See, my eyes just on the whole word reader.
>> Yes. So each of those is different pieces of the business >> maybe like equipment. >> Yes. And so now it's very specific. If you scroll down to they put like roof repair middle school and then that's the cost of the roof repair. Um that way you're not guessing exactly which piece of you know Louis gym Lewis Gym girls edition. Well >> yeah. I still consider the same girls edition the same edition from 1980. I >> Yeah, I did see that. But like those like it had like gym like Louis gym floor, you know what I mean? >> Yes. But for the most part, the first page is very vague in terms of maintenance like is that the maintenance building? Is that a little chat? Well, and stuff that's um I mean even though it's
a fixed asset, some of it is still movable. So that like I guess who inventories it like how like does everything have a sticker on it? Like who's in charge of >> of making sure it's there again next year? >> Oh, you should. No, you should have a label. >> You should. well label, but I mean also like okay, next year this is what was in here and >> currently there is not a process. >> Okay, >> back up short. I know these are fixed but like even classrooms that I mean correct I don't know the last time that an entire [Music] Yeah, teachers sign off typically on their classrooms and then provide that. So that is on the list on the honeydew. >> Okay. And then just for ease, the deletions, um, several of
these, and I can't tell you which bus numbers have already come to the board, but because we didn't actually physically get them gone, um, we went ahead and brought them back just so that way you guys are aware that they >> come back. >> And then the Ford Excursion um, is on its last leg. We'll be putting those up for auction. >> Have you ever been to these any of these auctions or No. >> Oh, so like these I bought several things off school auctions you can buy. Okay. We're processing meat. But >> where did they do it? >> It's online. You just get online and anywhere. I mean, you can get stuff in a different state. You can Canada, you can see all of the ones that go to the public surplus. [Music] while
you guys still scroll through there. Um the candidates, you should have a packet and it's very basic in terms of just some information. Um as we went through a meeting, our vision and mission statement and then the first um piece is the school uh board member handbook. So if you are elected, here is the handbook. And I wanted to point out on page five, powers and duties. who haven't seen this previously. Just kind of get you an overview idea of the duties of a school board member. For those who don't have that, um these can be found on the NMSBA website, both the school board um candidate um packet and then as well as the member handbook. And then the second piece of it is the schoolboard candidate manual. And so this is we should
provide these in the future to people who even think that they want to run um because the candidate manual is helpful for those who may decide they want to run and the information provided um in there. On page six of the candidate handbook um it talks about your training hours. So, for those on the board, you're aware that you have to have training hours with Batista, if you didn't know. Um, for your first term, it's 10 hours mandatory. Typically, those can all happen within one training, if not two. Um, and they're on weekends typically in Albuquerque. insight to that. When you go to these trainings, write stuff down and save it because stuff gets lost in translation and you know it'll show that you haven't completed your stuff and that's kind of that's what happened
in my case. But we were able to correct it. >> Oh, for the hours. Yeah. >> Yes. >> And they they have changed the way that we submit which is kind of nice. They do it through a Google form now. So when you submit it sends you an email saying hey you were part of >> that's going to be helpful for us. >> They give you you'll have a QR code. I still don't trust it. I would save that QR code. I mean just >> and the rest of you too if you do want uh you can send those to me and I just started a file. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Before it was just like hours. Now it's like selective like okay you got to get five in budget you got to get five
in like curriculum. You know what I mean? I'm making that up, but I don't I don't know exactly, but they're like in different areas, >> which is good because then that way you're kind of round, you know, wellrounded instead of just sticking to what you interested in. Sometimes it's not interested, but it's stuff you need to know. So, >> yes. >> And new newbies have a lot of hours. Uh, how many is it? >> 10. >> And then five >> and then Yeah. >> But I mean the Yeah, you get them. Yeah. >> But you just have to make sure that you go to the specific classes to meet the two hours in each of the first five categories. >> It has to be done for >> just training. No. So, right. >> Yeah. During
the first year serving on the board, >> they will have a new board member specific new board member training >> in February usually. >> If there probably is a >> Yeah. February is in Yeah. You know what the newborn >> December December is? December 4th, 5th, and 6th. >> Oh, did they change it? >> No, that's the one in Albuquerque. >> And then the one in February is in Santa Fe. Because Santa Fe will usually do the swearing in though. >> That's what I mean. >> Yeah. >> So, the one in Santa Fe, you should be able to get everything in >> for sure. >> But they leave it they leave one hour like it will be impossible for you to finish everything there. And they'll leave one hour off like like in the legislative
you have to have two hours, but they'll only have one hour at that whole conference. >> Maybe they'll do better. >> Oh, no. There's a reason why they do that. They want you to come back and >> well training. >> If you're no not a new board member, you only have to have so >> Yeah. It's just for the newbies that make they make you cycle. >> It's Yeah, you can get in there for sure. >> But they've recently that increase is recent and the picking the categories all of that is something that Mr. Davalo's experienced as a new board member, but that was the first time. Daniel just got a so I was looking through it because I found in there it said something that it had to be done. >> Oh, that's one
SB137 but I could be wrong that could have been on something else. >> It's hard to do that. they specify in short amount of time and have a life. >> Then on page eight, um I also marked the framework work of responsibilities. I thought this was a good little graphic u that they provided in terms of the job position um to provide vision, structure, accountability, advocacy, teamwork, commitment, time, and training. Um, so that was just a great little visual opportunity that they provided. And then after the policy, that manual um candidate manual, there's policy information. Um, and so if you don't know where to find the board policy, you can either find it on the NMSBA website or also on our Dexter website. Um, under board there's the piece that says policy and in your
handout I printed out just kind of the terms of the manual and administrative quotes. So, it talks about some of the language that's used in the policy and what that language uh specifically the terminology goes to. Um, and then the next piece of policy is staff participation in political activities. Um, and even though you guys are not part of the staff, this does cover you guys in terms of not campaigning on school grounds. Um, so that's why I included that piece is so that way you just are aware that you fall under the same category of not distributing anything on school property. Uh, you may utilize the school campus only if you have uh a community use agreement. Um, however, it's pro. I mean, that would mean you're having a meeting here for for a
political party, but can't distribute anything on school grounds. So, basics. And then, um, I added the policy on board powers and responsibilities. So, that way you could flip through that. And then the last piece um is just on superintendent relationship. and how to ensure we all make a good team. >> I found the so it says the department shall develop a mandatory training course for local schoolboard members that explains department roles, policies and procedures, statuto powers and duties of local school boards, legal concepts pertain to public schools finance and budget and other matters deemed relevant by the department. The department shall notify local schoolboard members of the dates of the training force, the last of which shall not be later than three months after a local schoolboard election. So I think they just have to
notify us or notify which that would be the in MSBA the >> the December one promising >> because that's for new school board as well [Music] probably. >> I think that's >> December and then feary for the new school board members. >> See that's what I thought too. I thought it was February. >> I just >> stranger danger. >> Anyways, but then the hours are actually within the year. So, as long as you get the notification of where the training courses are going to be within the three months. I think that's like the department's duty. Does that make sense? The three months and then and then the school board member duties are within the year. I know. It's all tiny. Uhhuh. >> Yeah. Because when they did this, they did all the web casting like
like that's why we're on. >> So December is just the annual convention. >> Yeah. I think Yeah. Because then in February I think they even do like that's where they swear swear in >> December where we get the award. They do so many hours as nice. This will be the last opportunity for turnary training >> for candidates. That's what we're looking at. >> Oh, okay. >> That's kind of because then because then even it's the February one, that's when they have all the you go to the roundhouse and do some >> It's pretty nice. >> There's a lot of good information. >> Yeah. >> And it's beautiful. >> I guess it's on the MSBA website. is turn it into >> any questions, Miss Niles, Mr. >> Not me. Thank you. >> Nope. Back to the
finance stuff. the the current uh book value on some of this stuff I assume is just stuff to balance the the books but come back down to zero on certain things. >> Where are you looking >> on the bars? Yeah. [Music] >> Yes. So look at her notes too. >> These are the >> Oh yeah. Yeah. Go ahead. >> Which one is it? Which one? >> The very very first one. >> What number does it say? 11 12 [Music] >> budget >> please. >> Yeah. So all title one. So our current title we received some other allocations as well. So that's including those to be be able to budget them. And not necessarily did we get more title one funding. It's roll over from the previous year. >> So all of these are rollovers from
the previous years. >> Let me see which one you're looking. [Music] >> Look at the title. >> Yeah. >> It was just the first question, I think. >> Yeah. So it's 118,268. [Music] Yeah, the second one is like 300. >> Yeah, >> it's a lot. So, I don't know for title. >> Is this like money that we didn't spend last year? Correct. We are still we are still spending the >> 20 >> 24 school year. We're still spending those funds. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> And this is for um supplies. Is that why the expenditure of the curriculum that I just saw comes from or is that this is even more? So title funds for the most part pay a couple of salaries and then that's where the majority of our professional development it's anything
supplemental on top of what we already provide kids. So it doesn't pay for um >> the curriculum. there any any it could pay for which it does pay for >> well it doesn't title four pays for >> free >> but it doesn't mean that >> that's for ELLL services >> but like if we needed like additional math support or additional science support or >> well the one that I saw was accelerate accelerate STEM it was like a STEM accelerate learning >> so yeah so that's like a additional science support for the treatment for their new stem scope. So we can we don't buy curriculum out of it but we can buy like supplemental materials to support that curriculum existing >> and do like hands on manipulatives and additional resources for >> but we received I
mean other than that budget that we're waiting >> yes >> and and the part of that is >> yeah doesn't mean that >> when previous people budget funds >> they don't always see the same like scope of hey this is where we're going we need more in professional development for teachers or we need less in >> like >> in terms of what it it cost us more for summer stem camp >> than what we had allowed. So then we had to borrow money for that as well. >> What about can you use this money that I mean because it's a lot that I've seen coming in. Can we use this money to take high school students to go see colleges, universities? >> Not title one. Yes. Title one. Not okay. Yeah, not title one. >>
Title four. And so there should be another bar for title four funds that we >> can we use this much like can we move this money to title four. It's just as >> it's supposed to stay in title one unless we were not funded well enough in title four. But we did move some money into student travel and title 4 with that intent purpose of wanting to look at um like CTE opportunities for high school and then maybe also other opportunities for elementary and middle school to do some some travel or exploration. Yeah, I can't even find that. It's number 21. >> Oh, 21. Oh, that's the one I was just What about with middle school kids? What are we doing? Can we use some of those field trips? I mean that money for field
trips so that they could go see. >> So title one you can't use for field trips. It's supplemental instruction of any kind. >> Title four, >> correct? >> Yes. Title three is ELLL. four. Yes. So scroll down on on that on that very first one and that information is yeah on the very first one she included the email so that way in which you can see >> our grant year allocation our remaining balance for those years. >> And so this one goes roll over every year. It doesn't matter how many doesn't have a limit for how many years or >> it so it kind of does it has it's a two-year gradal cycle. So this one that we're fixing to exit out of >> everything by the end of school year >> we had to
expend it by September 30. Because the federal government Well, no, no, no. So, >> yeah, feds feds are different. >> Feds is different. But this is just for this 2325. >> So, this is the amount that we have by September. >> Yes. >> And we we already expended that. But then you can see this is what we got for 24 to 26. And then so we are going to have to expend at a faster rate because we have been Yes. >> Yes. So all of them have or Yes. The other one. >> Mrs. M. Where's your readers? I forgot them. Can I go get them? >> No, these aren't working. They're just dark. >> They're in your They're not in your car. >> She's just dugging it out here. >> Oh, no. With the trash
can. No. >> Oh, really? Who? The trash can. >> Anybody dug the door out? you. Oh, thank you. >> Oh, thank you. >> It's okay. >> Yeah, we please remind us. >> Yeah, I got you. >> Mr. Ferguson, he's not here. So, we need >> that guy. >> I don't know. I don't know if you qualify as B team. It depends on what you should go ahead and stop the stream. I think we're good here to start the separate one. >> That would be great. Thank you.
