I'd call this meeting to order. If you please rise for the Pledge of Allegiance. >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Okay. Can I have a roll call, please? >> Madam Chair, we have a quorum. >> Do we have any adoptions or changes to the agenda? >> We do not. >> Madam Chair, I would move we adopt the agenda as presented. >> Second. >> Any discussion? All those in favor? >> Aye. >> Are there any corrections to the July 15th, 2026 minutes as presented? Nope. Okay. Consider payment of bills including late pays and pre-authorization of payroll, insurance, utilities, officials, and automatic payments. Adopt amended policy 4140 graduation requirements regulation

0024140-R1 graduation requirements. Policy 5110 district staff vacations and holidays on second reading. >> Madam Chair, do you approve the consent agenda as read it? >> Second. >> Any questions or comments? All those in favor? >> Aye. >> Anybody opposed? Okay. Moving on to our round table. Tessa, it's you. >> Hello, everybody. Like you said, my name's I'm going to be a senior at Riverton High School, which still doesn't feel real. School starts in a week, and it's kind of crazy knowing that everything is going to have a last added to it. But luckily, I get to have the best year ever. I As you guys know, I've been involved in FCCLA, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, for 5 years now, which is quite crazy to admit. And I've always had a dream of

running for national office. When I first joined in 8th grade, Wyoming had a national officer from Wright, and she was the best person ever. I looked up to her, she was so genuine, and I said, "I want to do that one day." And then I figured, you know, you can't jump in with both feet, and you have to warm up to it. So, I ran for district office, got that, ran for state office, got that, and in December, I officially decided to run for national office. After running at our state conference and getting the nomination there, I spent my summer practicing and making sure I was all ready to where we ended up in DC. And I had the busiest week of my life. First, it started with orientation at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, July 5th.

Or, first we had rehearsal for opening session. Then we went to orientation. And then I had the very first interview of all 26 candidates, which was pretty nerve-racking, but it was awesome. I gave my speech to the nominating committee, which is composed of 12 student members from around the country, and then I answered three questions, and then I was done. And we went and we had dinner, we did a lot of walking because I'm not a great navigator in big cities, and no one was very happy with me about that. They were like, "How much longer, Tessa?" And I just go, "It's up the block." And it was like 10 blocks. So, everyone was pretty grouchy, but we They couldn't be that mad at me because the food was really, really good. So then, the

next morning at 8:00 a.m., we had group interviews, where we would go in three different groups and work through a scenario in front of the nominating committee. And then after that, we had a quick lunch, which is really hard to eat lunch when you're so nervous, and my eating habits were definitely messed up that week. And after um lunch, we went to the voting delegate orientation, where it walked the voting delegates through the process, and then we were introduced. And at that point, the nominating committee had decided the top 20 officer officer candidates moving on, which is so crazy to think that your fate was already decided, and you just didn't know. After the voting delegate orientation, I went to our state meeting and had a laugh in there. And then we went to opening

session, where at the end we all introduced ourselves, and we got a letter. And this letter told us whether we were in the top 20 or if we were done running. And it's so crazy knowing that like your fate lies in one letter. And I was trying to find it for you guys. And in the craziness of the week, I actually lost it. >> [laughter] >> But it said, "Dear Tessa Kenyon, congratulations, you have moved on to top 20 candidate. Here attached is the schedule of the speeches tomorrow, and we're so proud of you." or something like that. Which I didn't make it very far in the letter before I started crying. And so after I cried, and I told our whole chapter, I went to bed knowing I had to get up pretty early

the next morning. The next morning at 8:00, we had all attendee networking, where we stood at round tables, and anyone who wanted to could come and ask us questions. And they would just discuss with us trying to figure out who we were. After that, we went to the voting delegate networking, where we went around to the tables with the voting delegates, and they asked us questions for 3 minutes, and you tried to show who you were in those 3 minutes, which was pretty crazy. Then again, we had a quick lunch, which was very hard to eat knowing you had to give your speech afterwards. And I was in the second group, so we went in did some relaxation stuff, and then we went and our holding room was actually the bathroom behind the stage. And

so we all got to sit in the bathroom while they blasted music, so we couldn't hear anyone else's speech, which was quite crazy. Then I got called, did my speech in front of 3,000 FCCLA members, which is so surreal to just look out, and you just see all these FCCLA members. Answered an onstage question, and at that point, I was completely done. There was nothing more I could do. The voting delegates voted, and that night we went to a baseball game, which was so fun. And then in the back of your head, you're thinking, "Wow, tomorrow morning's going to be a big morning." Because at 7:30 on the dot, a national staff member would hand you a letter, literally determining your entire year. So, I got the letter, and we went up to our room,

and I opened it, and I didn't lose this letter. It's hanging up in my room, and I'll read it to you guys. It says, "Dear Tessa Kenyon, congratulations. You have been elected as one of the 10 2026-2027 National Executive Council Members of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. This is a great honor and responsibility as you represent the members in the organization throughout the year. Your first responsibility is to attend the NEC/NCA meet and greet at 8:30. The location of this event can be found in this envelope. Then you will attend national officer training, which will begin at 9:30 at Union Station Marriott Marquis 4M3. Once again, congratulations. I look forward to working with you through your term as a national officer." And that letter was crazy to read. I got through "Dear Tessa

Kenyon, congratu-" before everyone in the room started crying. It was my mom, me, my sister, and our advisor, and all of us were crying. It was not a pretty sight. So, we cried for like 5 minutes. We were so happy, and then I was like, "Shoot, I really need to read the rest of this letter." Because our hotel was 20 minutes away and two metro rides. So, it's like, "Oh, I got to get all my stuff together." So, I went in the bathroom, cleaned up my mascara, and then we went off 5 minutes after I got this letter. And then the next few days were completely filled with training, headshots, um we did we selected our own offices. So, we went through that process where the 10 of us worked together to select our own

offices. We had rehearsals, and then we got to Friday night where we had closing session where we went out in white fancy dresses if you were a girl or a tux if you were a boy, and we're officially to the members as our offices. We had to keep our offices a secret for about a day and a half. And no one in my chapter was pleased with that decision. My mom wanted to know, my sister wanted to know, everyone wanted to know, and I had to tell them, "Sorry, you'll find out tomorrow night." And I was elected as or I was chosen as the national vice president of programs, which is such a unique office. I have a little something to read about it. I have a special opportunity and responsibility to help promote and

support FCCLA's national programs. These programs give members opportunities to take what they are learning in the classroom and use it to make a difference in their families, schools, careers, and communities. Throughout the year, I will work alongside my fellow national officers and the national staff to encourage members and chapters across the country to get involved and make the most of the opportunities FCCLA provides, which is so amazing to know. Like, it's a pinch-me moment every day I wake up and I do this. And it is just so surreal. So, then after that, we went home, and it's just like, "Oh, I'm home now." My life was completely changed. And then we were getting more and more information. So, my [clears throat] first official thing after nationals is next week I will attend the August planning

meeting in Herndon, Virginia. We go to school for 1 day, and then we leave, which is kind of crazy, but what we signed up for, you know, me and my adviser. And so, then throughout the year I'll have amazing special opportunities, like going to the fall leadership institute in October, where at the Disney Imagination Campus, I get to help run through workshops with all the members and work through my experiences. Last year, I got to go to the one in Anaheim, which was such a unique and incredible experience. Then in February, I will attend the winter planning meeting with my teammates in New York City, where we get to help plan and work through, ultimately leading up to our national leadership conference next summer in San Antonio, Texas, which is going to be hot, but

it's going to be a lot of fun. I am the 15th national officer to come from Wyoming since FCCLA's founding in 1945, when it was then called Future Homemakers of America after a name change and like combination of two different CTSOs is now FCCLA and I am so incredibly grateful and I have some gifts for you guys. So I wanted to give you guys a photo of me and my teammates. This is like this was the second day after we were elected and we were still all getting to know each other. I have this and then I have a thank you card for the best school board ever. I have a gift or a thank you card from the best superintendent. Thank you guys. >> Thank you. >> We're so proud of you. >> Congratulations.

>> I truly am so thankful for all of you guys' support over the years. I know I have come a lot to ask for support in different various ways and I'm just so thankful for you guys' support. I truly am so proud to be from Riverton High School. I was talking with the various national officer candidates and truly there's no experience like living here. Hearing from them and how they don't know the people on their school board. They don't know the people their superintendents or and they don't have the support I have. I realize how truly grateful I am. So thank you guys. >> was Future Homemakers of America. I was a state officer for Wyoming that went to national. So I'd been a lot The neatest thing is is to be from here and

go to all these interesting places. >> Yes, it's so cool for sure. I think I'm on my eighth state now. I've like been trying to count how many states I've been to. Quite a bit for sure. >> Get a map and start coloring in the >> Yes, I decided this year my keepsake I'm going to take from all the places is a deck of cards. So then because I love playing cards and I think that's a cool keepsake that I'll use. >> And it fits in your suitcase. >> Yes, exactly. >> And as I was sitting here listening to you explain all this to us, I'm watching your mom. And I think I I I you don't know this but and she doesn't know this either but I walked in it was after I found

out that you had had gotten this honor and I walked into the grocery store and I ran into your mom. And we both just looked at each other and she was running up and she I gave her a great big hug and I said, "This is just so exciting." And for me, I knew your mother as a student. I watched her grow up. And I've had the opportunity and the honor to get to watch you grow up and grow into this wonderful young person that's standing before us and representing Riverton so, so well. >> Thank you. >> And um I can't even express the amount of pride that I hold for them, but it's very reflective in your face. >> [laughter] >> It definitely It's like so, so real like actually achieving that. You know,

it's a dream you have for so long and it like doesn't feel real and then all of a sudden you're like sitting in the room and you see all your teammates and you're like, "Wow, this is really real." And one of the best like this was definitely the best week of my life. It's going to be really hard to compete like forever because there's so many amazing emotions. I felt every single emotion, but so much peace with it because I had truly I always give 150% to everything I do. Like I just have always and I didn't know that I could give more to something. [laughter] And so like knowing that, it was definitely a surreal feeling. And one of the best memories from the week was our meet and greet. So, I showed up

to the hotel and I saw two people I knew they were candidates and one of them gave me like thumbs up or a thumbs down and I was like, "Thumbs up." And she goes, "Us too." So, it's like, "Oh my gosh, yay." Because I didn't know who's going to be on my team. And then we go up to the room and I see another one of my teammates and we would run and give them a hug and then we were in the room and the door would open and everyone would go quiet and it's like, "Who's going to walk in next?" And that was [laughter] just so like such a special memory of like "Oh my gosh." Because we had gotten so close together as candidates, you know, because no one knows what you truly

feel except those 25 other people that you had the experience to run with. And then like it's just like, "Oh my gosh, I'm going to be your best friend forever now because we're in this together." So crazy. >> Oh, it is a tremendous responsibility but you have got this. >> Thank you. >> of you. >> You put a tremendous amount of work and you did all that you needed to do to put into it to get that accomplished. So good for you. We're so we're so proud of you. >> Thank you. I'm so proud to represent you know I represented Wyoming for a few years now or about over 600 members but now representing over 275,000 members is insane and I'm just so grateful for the members for giving me this opportunity. So and I'm

so thankful for you guys for helping me get there. You know if I didn't grow up going to these schools the Riverton public schools and didn't grow up at Riverton High School I wouldn't be where I am today. So I'm so thankful for that. >> Thank you. >> We're proud to have you representing us. >> Yes. >> Thank you. >> Just keep that enthusiasm. >> Thanks. >> You've got it. Well maybe at the end of the year you can come back and tell us about your year. >> Yes I would love that. That'd be so fun. That'd be so cool. >> Journal everything that you do. >> Yep. >> So then you can look back at it someday. >> And remember it all. It's so crazy like to think like oh one day these are

going to be the best memories of my high school career. Like as you're living it it's so crazy. >> [laughter] >> It's like I have no like I have a lot of words to describe it but nothing fully feels enough to describe like this experience. So crazy. >> Take lots of pictures. >> Yep. >> Because you'll look back and think Oh wow how how long ago was that? >> Yep. So serving as a national officer is an honor. Congratulations. >> Thank you guys. >> It's one you earned. >> Thank you so much. >> You know we were just happy to be the vehicle. You you earned it. You did the work. >> Thank you. >> We're proud of you. >> AW THANK YOU. >> CONGRATULATIONS NOW. >> I KNOW IT IS A TRADITION. >> [laughter]

>> YEAH it is a tradition now. >> We're going to do it this way. I got bit by a cat. >> Oh no. >> [laughter] >> She's got a She's got a a lame paw. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. Well, at church I didn't think about that and I went >> Oh. >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. >> Yeah, that wasn't probably >> Now, since you're going to be our next school board member, you got to stay for the meeting. >> That's right. >> [laughter] >> That's right. >> Okay, we're moving on to board members. Let's start over here with Judy, do you have anything to >> No. >> I do. >> All right. >> Shocker. I did the new ambassador list, so everyone has that at their chair and then also I have started creating a calendar

for you. So, in Simply, if you go to Communications, go to calendar and choose board. I'm adding stuff on there as the schools let me know when they have activities going on. So, I'll add them on there. The other thing is is if for some reason you're traveling and you need to look at the agenda, it's easy. You can go in there as long as it's active, you can go right to the date and click and it'll let you go to our current agenda on that date. So, and that's all I have. >> Thank you. Thank you very much. >> Oh, do you have anything or do you want me to come back to you? >> Um I've got a I've got a little bit. So, yeah, we're just uh we just finished closing the

year. Um that went that went well. Um I'm working on my state reports and you guys have probably heard but we switched our from Frontline to Red Rover. So, we've been doing a lot of training for all of our current staff and new staff for that. Uh this Red Rover option gives staff a lot more capabilities of logging in. You could do it on your phone. It's kind of like a uh timekeeping system. And so, instead of at the end of the month or end of the week, instead of people entering their time, it's that day. So, they clock in, they clock out. If you don't want to use your phone, you don't have to. We've got kiosks set up uh and that were just uh using computers to so we didn't have to buy

this fancy system. So, we got them set up in in like food service and in the entrances of the schools. So, [snorts] you could do that or you could do it on the computer. So, we're giving staff all of the all of the options. Um as far as on our side, we we hope it's going to be easier for us to uh change data. So, in our old system, when we had a new employee or whatever, we'd have to go change it like three times. Now, we should have to change it once. So, we're excited about that. There is lots to learn and we're going through the bumps and right now, but uh once we get everything down, we think it's going to be great. So, I just want to share that with you guys

just in case you've heard that um that news. >> Awesome. We're ready. It's great. I'll come back to you, okay? Carl. >> Let's see. Uh >> I won't let me back in the meeting. >> Our last meeting. I think we I went to the School Board Association uh Board of Directors meeting and and shared it and I uh we took a tour of a a greenhouse that had been donated to the Sheridan uh school by a company that was moving out. And they take care of their entire What would you call it? menu. Uh I can't remember. 100 20 lb of of lettuce, different kinds of lettuce, and greens that they put out every week for their school. I mean, they they grow enough uh greens to take care of all the needs. And they

also are part of a uh They they bring beef and other animals in and and that are donated or you know, given to them one way or another, and they have a program that uh you know, most of their beef needs except for hamburger is taken care of with uh those donations. It's quite a nice program and there's lots of volunteerism and of course you have a big donor like the Scott family there and and there's a lot of dollars that uh helps support things like that. Um I think you all saw in your packet that there's a uh the 27th is when we have our fall roundup. And as you go through it, you know, we sent out the uh strategies that we're going to use for the next year. So, uh review those

and think of anything that you can uh to have discussion about if you want to move something along with the uh school board association. The Golden Bell and all the different awards or nominations or uh will be due in October, so you put your thinking pads on if there's anything. There's Douglas uses the uh one award. The a recognition award that uh they give out two or three a year. And the uh somebody from the Wyoming School Board Association staff goes and uh helps present it to you know, uh >> The hero the hero one? Education hero? >> Yeah, you know, it could be a cook. It could be a you know, it could be anybody in the district that they would want to uh recognize. And it's a it's a you know, like Converse

County uh school district one, you know, really promotes it, so uh that's one district that has learned to use it in a pretty positive way. Um we went to that uh meeting the other night uh or afternoon about uh the uh planning committee or planning strategy group that are going to work with the architects and engineering for the new Rendezvous school or whatever it's going to be called. Um and I know that the superintendent will probably speak more about it, but it's uh and I'm not going to That's the only meeting I'm going to go to on it. I know that Terry's were there and it was interesting to see how they're going to about trying to get stakeholders engaged. And I do hope we get somebody from the neighborhood over there, especially on the

Persian side because they've never really encountered uh a school right there on on their part of Persia. So, uh and it it's you know, fairly quick, you know, it it's what it August 2029 it will be up and uh it will be you know, open to the uh students at that point. So, we'll have a new school. Uh going from a the the the pri- Well, who said it? I can't remember the going from a 400-plus student population to a 220 student population. You know, that puts us in a pretty steep decline. Uh which you know, is a metric of the uh modern age of stats that drive state decisions that affect the local boards. >> Mhm. And uh that'll be an interesting as people understand that we're getting that much smaller. Uh going from

a school that size and losing and and then the other thing was there's a possibility we'll lose that gym. Uh you know, it's it's we were hoping that try to figure out some way to save it like we did Ashgrove and that's still a possibility I would suppose, but you know, it's it's a it's a concern. So, uh as you talk to people, don't be afraid to mention those kind of things. It is a very positive thing getting a new school, but I don't think a lot of people in our community realize what we're doing uh and that it's going to change the look of that campus. Thank you. >> Bruce. >> So, I did it. >> Good job. >> Uh not much as far as the schools go. We just got done with fairs,

county fair, and had quite a bit to do with that. And of course, most of the kids in those county fair go to school in Riverton, so Erlanger. Um but the fair went well, too hot. It really was. >> It really was. >> I was going to mention how well our students did at fair and we should be very proud of of their representation of us at the at the fair. So, that's all I have tonight. Um grateful that it's getting maybe a little bit cooler, so when we do start school, everybody won't melt to death at the schools. >> Okay, Ally. >> I don't have anything today other than I wanted to report a Wolverine sighting up on South Pass. Uh my boyfriend was up there just driving from Jackson back over to uh

our side and he saw the this thing cross the road and he like did a double take but he said it was a wolverine and we we pulled up pictures to make sure and I was like does it look like the Riverton mascot? >> [laughter] >> And he's like yeah, it does. And they're really rare. I don't know if if you know but a lot of people I was reading there's only like 15 confirmed they think the population is about 15 in that area. >> And it's increasing it's increasing is what they're what they notice in Montana and and Idaho. Well more of the I the the Yeah, more the the Yellowstone area and then also up here in the Wind Rivers. >> That's cool. >> So it is they are increasing. >> I don't

know if he did. I should ask him. Yeah, cuz there was an article somebody saw one over in like Green River Lakes. >> Yep. >> And it it had had a collar on it cuz it had been tagged. And they got a picture and the thing's like like posing. >> [laughter] >> So um >> Very cool. >> My my boyfriend didn't get a picture unfortunately but he was like that was like the coolest thing I've ever seen. Yeah. No, he didn't. It was just it scurried across the road and he didn't have time to. But that would have been cool. But yeah, they're out there and uh Riverton proudly represents their brand. >> Okay. >> I seen a skinny wolverine in Riverton. >> Exactly. >> [laughter] >> We're going to move on here. Roy. >>

Uh the I just wanted to mention the Native American Education Conference is here. Uh it starts tomorrow at 8:30 and goes until the evening tomorrow and then half a day Thursday morning. So it's a day and a half and it's sponsored by the Wyoming Department of Education. It's open to everyone. Um registration is free this year so um if you want to check any of the breakout sessions out or attend any of the keynote speakers, please please do. One of the things I wanted to mention is that the Pacesetter ceremony will be at 4:30 tomorrow night at the X Center Auditorium. So the Pacesetter award is awarded to the two Native American high schools, high school students from from each high school in the state. So it's the top two high school top two Native

American high school students based on the school's own criteria. So Riverton High School has two students who will be recognized tomorrow night. That ceremony again is at 4:30 at the X Center Auditorium if you are available to come and watch them receive their prestigious award. >> So the X Center at the college. >> At the college. >> Okay. Moving on here. Do you have anything? >> No, thank you. >> Thank you. >> Jody. >> I actually I attended the Rendezvous meeting with with you and Terry and and Carl were all there. And I the thing that the things Carl pointed out with regards to make sure that we can communicate that with our community is going to be paramount in all of this cuz we've you know, there's going to be a new building, but

there's going to be a building building that's going to be removed. You know, or demoed. So we need to be aware of those kind of things. You know, try to get stakeholders involved and community involvement is huge for something like that. Tessa, thank you for coming here tonight and congratulations once again. I attended the classified staff training. What was it? I don't remember. Monday? Yeah, Monday morning. Gosh, I I like I've it's been weeks since I've been here, but um yeah, and that was good. And it was nice to see the group of individuals there and and it's kind of a just a age span of some of the of the individuals small group, but the age span was really really interesting. And there are individuals who are new to the district who have been

working in our community in other jobs for a long long time and have have chosen to join the district and that's kind of exciting. Um I attended the board chair Zoom meetings that they had. Um um and that that's always interesting cuz it helps kind of get your mind rolling for the fall things that are that are going to be happening um this time of year. Um and just the the things that they you know, to be aware of. Um there's something else here. Oh, and I just got to mention that that you know, the gym. Hopefully we can hold on to that gym cuz I know those kind of things are uh that kind of real estate is very valuable in our community for our for all kinds of activities and things like that.

And um I want to congratulate my grandson. He just he signed to play soccer at Casper College. Um I wanted to congratulate him on that because he's representing Riverton along with Hunter Riverton High School along with Hunter Salt Skager and that's kind of really neat uh a neat thing to have have happen. But I think that is everything that I even used the little sticky notes so I could remember some of things. Are you guys impressed cuz I haven't done that? So >> You have to show me how to do that. >> Okay, Terry. >> Thanks. >> Um report from the Rec Board. Uh we're still looking for an at large member. And uh we were honored to have the uh mayor of Riverton attend our meeting. Um they're still looking for a replacement for

their member to the rec board. And uh that's about all that was going on with the rec board. Then last Thursday I went to the school for the new rendezvous. That was interesting. There is going to be some problems with with the traffic and so that's that's some things that we're going to look into. And then uh Monday we came to the meet and greet for the new hires for the That was that was fun seeing new new faces. That's great. That's all I've done so far today. This month. Thank you. >> Hey Lori. And I don't really have too much. I was just really excited to see that the um RHS showcase that they're going to be doing with that chamber event, the after hours event on August 15th. That's exactly I think what

we need to be doing is to showcase our students and what they're doing and get getting them out there so the community knows what we're doing and it's not just kind of confined to the school. I just think the more the community knows about how awesome the kids are and the the staff that are working with them, you know, the better we're going to be. And Yeah. Other than that, I've been watching a lot of a lot of baseball. So that's But that's over. Yeah, so. >> Okay. I don't have anything. It's just been an interesting few weeks while I was gone. Your turn. >> All right. So, I do have a few things. Um we have another audit um in addition to the tech audit that I told you about at the last board

meeting. We will be um audited on our general um fund general ledger. Uh we'll be working through our WD 401 which is our special education report. And um our 103 and 401 will be doing those amounts and this will be our employees and their payroll and assignment matches and all of those things and it is for the year 24-25. We have been steadily working on making sure that we are having accurate reporting and and clean and cleaning those things up. So hopefully, I think that was one of the first years that we really concentrated on it and so hopefully we'll see that we've made some improvements, but we do expect that we'll probably have a few findings here and there as all districts do, but that will also be a big project that payroll and

the business office is mainly taking on. So just wanted you to be aware of that. You will notice that policy 5095 um is back in front of you. I did send you a couple Well, I think I sent you one communication about that just asking you to make sure that you read it so that we could have some discussion if we need to. I realize that this is the third time for that policy and that's not always ideal, but we have as an administrative leadership team really talked through it on all three occasions thinking that we've made consensus, but I truly feel that at this last one we made progress and have a have a policy that everybody can stand behind and will um implement as it needs to be implemented. So we understand that

it is ultimately the board's decision, but I did want to point out that the reason that it's on there again is because it does have another fairly substantial change with the blackout days so that you would be aware of that and know that it's not just a grammatical error or a omission of a second page like sometimes we've had happen. You will see that we have a couple of things here little flyers for you. One of the things that you have tasked me with is the positive communication. So, we now have a thing that we're trying to do called positive press. It will come from the central office. So, at the beginning of each of our meetings, we will give opportunity for our district leadership team to put things out that are positive press or

things that they really think the community needs to know. So, this is our first draft. Um the the first side is my chat GTP version. Very simple and um plain and and straightforward and boring. And the second is Jayda. [laughter] Jayda's work with chat GTP or whatever AI tool she's using. So, we're thinking about posting both because everybody has a different style for what they what they like to look at. But, that's just to give you an idea of some of the things. Um one of the things that I had not seen is the um I had seen but didn't think of it as positive press is the NAEP. Um and you know that our district does randomly get selected every year. And every year that random selection is random students. And I think that's

important to know. It's every student. I mean, you every single student has opportunity to be selected to be tested. It's not all of our students. And so, it's it's very interesting that we do contribute to this and contribute to the scores um for Wyoming every year since I've been here. So, um >> For a long time. >> Yeah. So, um we'll put this every other week hopefully or you know, as frequent as we have some things on on the information items. And then, we'll be working to post it to social media. Um and hopefully, we'll be working sometimes to ask some of the outlets if they would like to do a special story. Um we're We're that they'll pick up a story that happened here this evening. Um if not, we'll maybe give them a

little push on that one. So, additionally, we have the Riverton Aquatic Center schedule. Um I had a very simple Excel sheet that explained the changes for you. And once again, Jayda fancied it up for us. So, um >> Thank you, Jayda. I needed this. >> Yeah, I think this is very helpful. [laughter] Um we'll be posting this. It's uh It helps you to see what the what the current schedule is, what the 2026-7 uh schedule is, what's been removed. Basically, it's very positive because there are will actually be more swim time um for the public uh with this schedule. And so, while some of the times did change, did you want to comment on it? >> Yeah, when we increased the fees, we got a lot of feedback that um I got a lot of

feedback that people were okay with the the fee increases, uh but they wanted the pool open a little bit more time when when they could use it. So, we are opening up on a Sunday, which last year it was closed. So, we are trying to to open during times where the public can use it more. >> Right. And the the Sunday could be problematic at times due to staffing. Um not every It's pretty difficult to find staffing that wants to work on Sundays, but we're going to do our best to make sure um that we find the right people to fill that role. So, uh if you see Christy Spriggs, she worked really hard um to put this together. And um you can see down at the bottom um more consistent operations, the positives of

of the new schedule. So, we wanted to share that with you. We will also be posting that to the district website, and I'm sure that Christy will be posting it to the Rec website as well. Um I did share with you um the leadership framework that I have started to go over with the uh district leadership team. I'm not sure if you had opportunity to look at that or not. At some point, I think it would be worthwhile for us to schedule a work session, to talk through that and make sure that that philosophy aligns with the direction the board would like our district to go as we as we implement that. On August 25th, I will not be here because I'll be in Cheyenne for the recalibration which in August 25th our next board

meeting, you'll have the tour in that so that that would not work because that will be a very busy board meeting anyway. So, maybe when we get back in September we can talk about scheduling a work session for that. Um, and then if you would like more information, I think we do need to decide who would be our representative for the board for the Rendezvous the new Rendezvous Elementary School project. So, we'll have an executive project logistics committee. It will meet more frequently and will be doing the business type things with the school and then they'll have a design advisory group which will meet a little less frequently and will be responsible for figuring out what the building looks like, what it contains, all of those sorts of things. And then they will also have

focus groups for so that when there's specific things that are happening specific things that they're working on like potentially we're working on the kitchen and the cafeteria, they'll probably invite some different people in etc. So, my first time through a full building, I think some of you have been through them before so you have more experience than I do but I think it's I think it's a great opportunity for somebody obviously to represent. I'm not sure which committee you would like to be on. The executive project logistics committee is going to try to meet I believe every Monday as of right now for about an hour and then we have one we have two major meetings set up. Um 9/2 through 9/4 is going to be the first big design push. And they will be

I I don't know we haven't set the schedule for sure, but it'll be you know, two three hour meeting, a break, they'll do some work and then maybe we come back, but we'll for sure meet for for a few hours each of those days and then they'll have work time and come back to us. And then again on 9/21 and 9/22 uh we have scheduled for those first big push. In the meantime, we'll be reaching out to um figure out who we're going to invite to the table for the for the community. Jaden and I have that on our list um to invite the people in the neighborhood um to possibly represent and potentially like we did for the Tonkin committee. >> Right. >> Um we will, you know, put an ad out and say

if you're interested, please apply and let us know and then um we don't want the committee to be too big. You don't get enough done when you have too many people, but we do need some representation. Additionally, we'll ask those people to go back out um and get feedback and share what's going on. So, to be an ambassador for the project. So, does anybody um have a burning desire to be a part of the committee? >> I would very much like to. >> I would too. >> I'm thinking the design cuz I'm not sure I can commit the time for the executive board. Is are they separate? >> Uh they'll be they'll be combined but they will be separate. So, the the the logistics one will probably some of them will attend the the design

one. So, you would like to be the on the design? >> Yes, the design. >> Okay. So, >> I'm sorry I missed that. We had a three-day meeting in Cheyenne >> No, it happens. >> Yeah. >> Um well, and we were on a timeline and then they gave us the dates and it didn't work for all all of and we so and we tried to pick the one that was the soonest because we want to get rolling. >> Yep. >> And not push it out too far. So one of the meetings that we did select as an option the state said nope that will have that will put you off project timeline and you will have to um submit some new paperwork. We're like okay we won't pick that one. So um All right. And

then Jody and Terry want to be Okay is everybody okay with that? I mean nobody wants to argue and fight for a spot or anything. Okay look at us. >> I'm not >> We're very productive. >> I wasn't even going to I wasn't even planning to arm wrestle. He was ready to go but I was just going to bow out. No. >> All right. So we'll just we'll put you on all of the invites and Lori will make sure that you're on all the design committee invites too. And then we'll start reaching out to find out who our other representatives will be from the community. >> Perfect. >> So I'm just want to look and see if there's anything else. We are going to submit a letter to the school facilities for the CMAR again.

>> Yeah. Construction. >> Construction. >> CMAR. >> Yeah for the for a CMAR instead of the regular bid bid built. So we'll we'll know I think that that meeting is 9:23 or 9:24 right here in Aledo so I'll attend that meeting. I'm not sure which day. >> I think that went well for us. >> I did too. Yeah that yeah. Mhm on the auditorium. So we did have good success with that and the district staff agreed with that and the our current our designers thought that that's a good way to go and and Steve at the state supported so we'll submit that letter and and see if we're approved. >> Another thing they did mention was that we might talk about a >> Oh, yes. Yep, yep, yep. An owner's rep. Yeah, so I'm going

to learn about that and um talk with Steve a little bit about um having an owner's rep because I don't know what that process looks like, so. >> Well, they've saved us a couple of times over the years, like they didn't buy enough bricks for the uh middle school when they built the new uh trying to match bricks and >> Oh, boy. >> And so he caught it fairly early and was able to sort of mitigate some of it. Uh you don't even notice it now, but there was some difference in the way that they dispersed the new bricks versus the first bought bricks was and it's just something that somebody like that who we trust and has a pulse on what's going on, so. I personally think it's a good idea. >> Okay. I'll

investigate that further. So, the last thing that we did is go through the the program, which is um you know, several pages if you want to look at it of how many of this room, how many of that room, how many of this, what kind of square footage, what storage, etc. Um and our original draft, we were >> 15,500. >> 15,000, yeah, over. >> Over. >> Yeah, over. >> Um I believe that we are now down to 6,700 over. So, we will I if I remember correctly from a quick um meeting on Monday, so. Hopefully hopefully um >> Yeah. Square footage. Yeah, of the Yeah, sorry about that. Lower the square footage, so. Um >> Making the hallway smaller? >> We did. >> Yes. >> Removed some total rooms. Yeah. Um at any rate, if

you have any questions or thoughts about any of the things that I shared, I'm happy to answer those and that is all that I have. >> Jody? >> Yes. >> Any chance of getting this in the Riverton Ranger? Do they charge for instance? >> They do. Mhm. Yeah, so it's awfully expensive. >> That's too bad cuz this would be real beneficial for these people. >> So, we can look into it again and see if the rates are >> Um We had that We are 25 Yeah. Facebook page. Who is in charge of that? And you know, is it is it Deb Meredith that has the admin or is it still? >> Uh-uh. So, we have we took that all over and our tech department now has >> Okay. >> that domain and everything. So, >>

So, maybe that >> These will be posted These will be posted to all of this. >> They had We had a pretty good >> Yeah, we did. >> following. >> We did have a good following there. >> Well, we had to actually close that one. >> Right. >> rephrase. Uh we we kept it, but we had to close that one because we couldn't find anyone who actually was the owner of it. >> It was I think it started with Harley. >> We and that's we we tried different things and it it got really confusing. We weren't able to transfer ownership. I know our tech department worked on it for Um so, they opened a new one and I think it's the same Is it still We are 25? >> I believe so. So, it will

be our district Facebook. >> We'll have >> Yep. And and we'll And so, that is a part of what we're trying to work through with Maddie and Kate and these things will be posted there as well as our news feed. So, every time we post something on the news feed, we'll click all of our social media, so it will go there as well. Um from the district level. >> for if if people know one a one-stop shop, I guess, or one place to go for information like that, it makes it a lot better. >> it just Yeah, Fremont County School District 25. >> Okay. >> That's That's too long. >> I know. >> Yeah. >> That it's too That's too big. >> Okay. >> it gets lost in the >> It gets lost. Yeah. >>

That's CSD. We'll have to figure out something. Cuz if you >> we're leaving that in your I capable hands. >> know who was responsible for bringing the choir classes back to the middle school, but you made my granddaughter's day. She is so excited. So, thank you for that. >> That's awesome. >> Anything else? >> I don't have anything. Let's move on. >> This is a time for visitors and delegations or delegations. Have anything back there? All right, we're moving on to action items. >> Nobody? >> Nope. >> Consider an administrative recommendation to adopt policies. >> Madam Chair, I would move that the board adopt amended regulation 4135-R district staff staff supervision and evaluation on first reading. >> Second. >> Anybody have any questions or comments? Okay, all those in favor. >> I. >> Anybody opposed?

The funds will be used to cover expenses for I don't need to read all that, do I? >> Nope. >> The amount of $80,000 for the 2026-2027 school year. >> Second. >> Any questions or comments? All those in favor. >> I. >> Anybody opposed? >> A. >> Recommendation to accept the 2026-2027 Perkins Career and Technical, no? Oh, we just did that one. Sorry.
