010I think I've been in town every single night for the past couple weeks and last week we had athletic awards at the the high school last Friday night that was well attended and and congratulations to our all our athletes but I I would probably say my my best event that I attended last Friday night was the Cherry Brook Primary School fair just to walk in just to walk in and see the first thing that you see is getting your seeing the Cherry Brook Primary School principal getting dunked every 1 second in the dump tank with about an hour before he says oh Dr Gman I'll be there for you when you come in it was better to see him in the dunk and for a buck it didn't matter if the kid hit the thing
011with the ball they were automatically so what what a great thing and without the parent support of that PTO to make that TR tradition which has got to be over 15 20 years having that event is just wonderful to see joh you went as a kid so 15 to 20 years so it's just a wonderful then and Jamie Newman and her whole board just did a great job in the parent volunteers it was just a real wonderful event to participate in and see our youngest children having a great time you couldn't even drive down chook road that day the highlight of the year has to be our high school graduation that will be this Friday we're monitoring the weather really really closely our our weather man that we have for the district has been in
012constant communication with me and Mr dep pipo and and our maintenance staff are preparing for both indoor and outdoor um graduation so so hopefully we'll be able to meet outside on Friday night and then as Mr Daniel said we have the rest of our promotion ceremonies coming up I I want to say also thank you to Kira and and Terry for for their work this year and Simone to our our senior rep it's been wonderful getting to re-engage with you Simone I remember when I was here as the assistant superintendent principal I remember Simone when she was a a little girl and I want to thank this board in this community that this is is as Mr Dango said the the last meeting of the official meeting of the year as my tenure as your
013first year superintendent and I couldn't ask for this board um for their support any more than you provided me this year into the community to the support that you provided me and to our staff it's been a great first year and we're just moving forward and we're going to move forward a really nice uh in in a nice way with as I always say as students as the forfront of any decision that I'll ever make or any decision that my team will ever make while have students at the core so that gives me to my final words and I don't get the opportunity to do this too often but it was something that hit me pretty hard the other day it's very difficult to win a state championship in any athletic event and we've had
014state championships before and we brought state champions to th this board before and I wanted to make sure that we had a senior that won a state championship last last week and I wanted to make sure that we got her to this board before she graduates next Friday this Friday night Lauren marsy who's a high school senior won a really in my mind a very difficult event to win she became the class state champion last week in The discus and I saw Lauren a couple weeks ago at the nlec throw and I said are you ready and she's like I'm very excited well I bet you she was more excited when she stepped on the podium and won a class estate Champion for feel for throwing the the The discus so congratulations to you [Applause]
015we're heading to New England I'll take any questions out of the superintendent's office at this time from any any questions for the superintendent okay hearing none we'll move right into the student representative reports Simone you want to kick it off I'll kick it off um to be honest it's been a busy week I believe it but I can report a little bit that we have finals this week seniors have finals this week and um the rest of the high school has finals next week because we're graduating on Friday um the seniors have been doing a lot of fun things we had a little senior day on Monday and then we had our picnic last week and it was really really fun great Juliana cool um so to be recording on Cherry Brook um on May

032BR and it's and that growth has attributed to the hard work of of staff and and and and the commitment they have to families and to each other so I'm very proud of of of everyone um we definitely have a a a great Foundation started and we're already excited that for next year um so tonight I'm going to go through um each of our goals and highlight how we got to where we are um to this point in in the school year um our first goal was focused on student growth and achievement um cherryb primary school students will engage in in an Ela and math curriculum that is rigorous and relevant to their needs and will continuously well will demonstrate academic growth and Achieve levels of proficiency or higher on on benchmark assessments and how
033did we get there in achieving that goal building based team meetings were structured and focused on curriculum um student data instructional strategies we work closely with our child study and student intervention team to create goal oriented supports for students in our tiered intervention process we monitored student achievement um using a wide variety of information we implemented coaching Cycles we provided Tut tutors and parent Educators with time to deepen instructional repertoire to support students receiving tiered um tiered interventions and and support and we utilize current Benchmark assessment to analyze areas for growth for students classrooms and grade level for our second goal on Partnerships and Community engagement um we were really focused on developing and fostering a communication plan to engage families and stakeholders for the purpose of gathering input feedback providing information and increasing our
034transparency which would um which will cultivate and support student learning how did we do that um prior to school um um I worked hard at calling every single kindergarten family before coming to Cherry Brook um we we had we provided personal tours to new students joining Cherrybrook we know it's a time that can be very anxious for students new students coming into a new building so we took out I took the time to take them on a personalized tour of Cherry Brook and getting their getting them acclimated to our wonderful wonderful School Community teachers use a a variety of um communication methods to provide families with the most upto-date information and and information and updates in regards to their their classrooms and and their students um I sent out weekly staff memo and today 38
035memos as of last week 37 memos have been sent out um I've also um send out the CBP cbps Gazette every every week and to the to the state we've had 38 um weekly gazet go out which highlight all of the wonderful things happening at Cherrybrook um we've had various events throughout the year from from our wonderful Veterans Day Assembly Music informan is parents coming in for mystery readers parents coming in for Lunch Bunch recess help um our I wonderer art show Field Day B dances children's Fair um we've had a tremendous amount of events to include parents and community members um held two coffee with the principal sessions um and we' partnered with organizations throughout our community to help support our communities through the food pantry historical society and so forth our third goal
036was focused on financial sustainability and efficient operations our goal at Cherry Brook um was to establish and maintain a process where all staff and students will engage in learning opportunities I apologize um we're focused on the sustainable and efficient operations um goal that will sustain um and keep us financially and fiscally responsible how did we do that we work with stakeholders with C public schools to ensure a budget that reflects and supports the needs of Cherrybrook we work with all stakeholders within Canton Public Schools to adopt um a financial management process that will Foster long-term Financial sustainability we've monitored closely enrollment um and class sizes to ensure appropriate learning environments for for our students and and our staff we've M maintained open communication lines with grade level leaders teachers Specialists coaches non-certified um staff buildings
037and grounds District level colleagues and even um our community um we continue to review and analyze student achievement data to ensure adequate resources and support and to ensure that adequate resources and supports are in place our four fourth goal was tied to learning environment and belonging how did we how did we achieve this goal um we facilitated um teachers facilitated and students participated in morning meetings Clos circles and great level lunch recesses Focus really tied on responsive classroom approaches we've embedded div vision of The Graduate into our curriculum um instruction and assessments we this year we fully implemented Desa and plan for students of concern um again making sure that we're connecting with each and every child have a touch Point um at each and every child we've embedded responsive classrooms within our school Community
038um we've reestablished this year um ch committees focused on family and student engagement culture and climate and Equity we we've held three meetings um and then we've created opportunities of recognition and celebrations of success for for not only our staff but most importantly our students we've had all school meetings throughout the year um morning announcements where we recognize students who've received positive cards and and at our all school meetings meetings we've taught into the bare necessities and next uh Thursday um we will have our final all school meeting together for this year as Cherry Brook family we we'll have a slideshow and some other surprise things for students he just take take a second yeah and um first of all Jordan so you know these goals um that Mr Em's U describing are all tied
039back to the board goals so our board goals go through the superintendent who then uh brings those forward to to each of the schools so I think you did a wonderful job so I want to give you a second to catch your breath and through the first four goals does anybody have any questions Mr give a second here and we'll pick up any questions so far I did have sure okay um thank you for saying that because and clarifying where these come from in regards to the goals um I see the how is there any um measure of if there if it's being met or you're seeing any um feedback from parents especially with B number two like if you receiv received any feedback in regard to the communication if they've seen increase in that
040or positive feedback um and then also for goal one did you see a rise in the levels of proficiency and in the assessments okay yeah um so Jordan to answer your question for goal two on Partnerships with Comm engagement I've received some positive feedback um regarding the cdps Gazette and and memos that go out and parents also you know offer really nice suggestions too of like you know maybe includ this information so you very positive and our surveys are going out to parents this week this week so we'll get surveys so Mr emry will get survey data from that and then I'll let him respond un streamed achievement and we'll get you his beginning of the year continuous Improvement plan Mr Bishop will send you all that and then it'll send you the data that
041the rest of the board got so did you just highlight you see tremendous grow from yeah so we really focused on this year obviously we're looking at Ela and that um this year we've had some new systems put in place at Cherrybrook so we're implementing um for the first time in a very long time um a phonic program K3 um to really drill down on some of those foundational literacy skills that students a and one of the measures that we use to measure progress is is BBL um is a d it's Dynamic indicators or basic early literacy um skills and we we assess students throughout the year and this year we've seen tremendous growth with almost every grade level getting about 80% if not higher um and every student as I stressed to the board
042on Thursday every student within those bands is showing showing some really nice growth obviously children are growing each child grows at a specific different but and then for math um we're seeing some really nice we're implementing some new Universal screeners that we have been implemented before in information there seen some really nice growth with students um who are um um growing and um growing throughout the year as a standards and the riger gets harder you know they're aligning to to what we're you know what we're assessing so we're seeing some really good growth there thank you yeah you're welcome any other questions okay last two points our fifth goal was embracing equity and how how did Cherry Brook achieve this goal we've increased diverse literature collections in our charry Brook learning Commons as well as
043our classroom Library um we've implemented culturally responsive teaching practices and strategies we've embedded responsive classroom strategies and practices throughout our building um we've we've enhanced Communications with our families participating in our open Choice program um we've implemented our daa Universal screener um we've we have have a very successful Cherrybrook um primary school Unified sports um organization and team um we've reestablished our um our cdps Equity team we're we're closely analyzing and as Dr Gman says we're really looking forward to getting survey data back and really analyzing that subgroup data through our Equity lens um we recognize and bring awareness to staff and students about being kind safe and being responsible and obviously our bare necessities and we've done a really nice job our Specialists I've done a really and and our classroom teachers through um
044curriculum projects um extensions to units have done a really nice job of Rec recognizing cultural heritages and curricul cultural heritages through our curriculum and and programming and our final goal was um focused on Workforce Development um how did we achieve this goal all staff attended District trainings this year both certified non-certified non-certified um staff attendant Ada training sessions which is apply behavioral analysis trainings um we've done coaching Cycles um throughout our building one of our reading tutors participated in a 5day or gingham um training Orton Gillingham is is is a high level of um reading instruction um reading to reading skills to provide um intensive um support reading support to some of our um students who need that for for reading um tutors meet weekly if not daily with um coaches and receive um you
045know go through coaching Cycles with our coaches and and Consultants um special educ we have we had a special education teacher get further reading training in or gingham um we've had um our entire Kindergarten team and our play based leadership team attend multiple training sessions on playbase learning this year and have started um implementing that in in kindergarten um as well as through um our specialist areas um our cbps literacy leadership team participated in the state Le science of reading master class which will will be attending our final um meeting tomorrow um our math coach attended at building thinkings classrooms workshop and is implementing those strategies in grade one this year and our cbps lhip leaders literacy leadership team is working with the hill for literacy group um right now we're looking at a wide
046um a few um reading curriculums and um hopefully you know in the future we we'll we'll have a decision made that will align to the state um State Mandate of um having something that's um science of reading Bas science of reading back B so we're really excited the team I just want to send kudos to the team they they voted a lot of their personal time to really um go through um these curriculums and make sure that you know what we choose what we decide is going to be best for our students at Cherry Brook so we've done a lot this year it's been it's been very exciting to see the growth um amongst our children and our staff and um you know as we embrace the end of the year and all the downtime
047and joys that come for summer I know that as I as I've been meeting with staff at the end of the year a lot of them I'm really looking forward to next year and and continuing to move our work forward as as a as a Char work team there any other questions any questions from the board I have a question how have you been managing with the space issues creating we've been creative and problem solvers no we've been doing as as you all know you know space has been an issue at Cherrybrook but um again the team the Cherry Brook team has done an amazing job um I highlighted last Thursday right now we do our intervention in our hallway our Wy hallway um the board members have that were there got a glimpse of
048of students and tutors in action and believe it or not they're zoning you out and they they've come to do that they kind of developed that kind of that mindset so we're making do and you know and and we do what we need to do and and we're making sure that you know we're moving forward thank you we're being flexible for problem solvers and contributors any other questions I make a comment please do uh is a great visit last week sorry leave a little bit early but it was a great visit and a couple of things were just so obvious to me uh from listening to you and to three or four of your staff members uh that you've created a a community uh caring Community I think that that includes everybody the teachers and
049the students uh and then that's really I can't say enough about the importance of that uh and from the comments of the teachers that gr leadership has a lot to do with that uh and secondly your staff seems to be using uh data uh really effectively to address the the needs you know the English and math needs of each grade as a whole school as a whole and then each and every student uh there was a real concern to uh identify students with particular needs and to help them and it was very impressive so thank you thank you Mr sh yeah for the first time I think in some time or at all the board is going to have consistent data to make measurements using uh consistent modeling so we look forward to now that
050we've got one year under our belt we're looking forward to these visits next year because we'll have some comparative data data and we can see if we are making a progress that we open for so that's one thank you yeah as I shared last we're really excited for summer but we're really excited for the fall to see that that you know year toe comparison I'm sure we're going to start doing tours uh soon for for any parent or Community member that would like to see that space uh it's too bad the school will be out so they don't get a chance to see students uh at work there but I will tell you that for me uh somebody that's ADHD I could never learn in that environment because I'd be look at that squirrel and
051then look at that squirrel it's very difficult but you do a great job with it Mr Bishop's going to speak about how we're going to get out that's thank sure Sor just want to make a comment I I Mr hry came in with a significant Challenge and honestly I I wasn't I wasn't expecting to be as pleased as I was got two students still in Jerry Brook I mean I expect to be pleased but I'm Blown Away by have my two youngest The Experience my two youngest students have or J my the one that graduated in the fourth grade last year and i' just like to say thank you it was a big challenge came in a big ho f i you did a great job thank you enjoy your summer thank you I know
052you're working too but than thanks for the report thank you Mr thank okay all right Mr Bishop assistant superintendent report please and I appreciate the the segue back into uh to my update here so um we are uh our year is coming to an end and we've got end of Year celebrations and exams of which our students will be celebrating the up at the the high school as well I wanted to let the board know that in in particular regard to the space constraints and needs that we have at Cherry Brook um Cara and I and Mr Amry we're working on um some some video collection of what what operation looks like within chry primary school we want to be able to help people be able to see and understand what the story looks um
053and and really I want to give Mr Amry and his team so much credit they have squeezed as much water from that stone as is possible um they've done an amazing job but for us to be able to look at trajectory for the future we want to make sure that we're telling the story as clear as possible um as our community looks to consider modular classroom space uh and M Robin and I will be at the uh at the permanent Municipal Building committee later tonight to be able to speak with that tonight yes meeting tonight no rest for Mr Dam keep it in mov um we we also have a presentation tomorrow with the science of reading master class so this has been a fantastic opportunity for Canton to be a leader within the U
054science of reading process within the state uh we are getting ready to tell a fantastic story of the gr the Cherry primary school tomorrow in front of uh State leaders and the rest of a number of different school districts as well so we have a lot of wonderful things going on we're closing the school year out incredibly well and I'm just thrilled for the opportunity to look forward to next year as well any questions out of my office just going to add one piece to what Mr Bishop said tomorrow's a big day for the schools that as Mr Bishop said that we're presenting our Char book team is presenting Statewide to at least 15 20 other districts on the work that we're doing at Cher Brook in the area of reading but then I'll be
055attending and I don't know if any board members are going we're going to the state Board of Education meeting tomorrow to present the work that we're doing at Kent Middle School as part of the commissioner Network group in front of the state bo of bad tomorrow at 9:30 so Ken's actually going to be in Harford tomorrow we're going to be in uh Rocky Hill tomorrow presenting the the work that we're doing and the work that is going to set the stage for the next I'm going to say four or five years within the camp public school so it's pretty exciting uh tomorrow busy day tomorrow with the the C public schol sorry Mr no thank you thank you thank you thank you when would we expect to hear on the commissioner's Network tomorrow they'll make
056a decision tomorrow yeah so I'll have Mr Bishop um or myself will send an email out to the board to like now but the the board EV will vote tomorrow great Lu anything else from Mr Bishop this brings us to our our public comment we we move the public comment to the to the middle of the agenda uh so that folks can hear some of the reports are going on should they have questions the public comment typically we ask people to speak for 3 minutes if you can hold it to three minutes identify yourself give us your name and your address please typically the board does not respond back questions because due to Freedom of Information um it has to be on the agenda for us to respond however if you ask a question we
057will get back to you with an answer either through the superintendent or the assistant superintendent schools so with that said does anybody in the audience want to speak for public session Mr Bar D can I can I say something to you for a minute pardon can I can I mention something to you while you're up there so I just Mr Barlo was our Grand Marshal for the parade this year he was the organizer and put it together for the Memorial Day parade and I just wanted to mention and first of all thank you for all your work on that I know for the kids when it rains it's such a disappointment it's such a let down for them and I was wondering this is just me I'm wondering if if we moved it to Saturday
058and then the rain dat was Monday is that to because that gives us a second second the SEL call I did get some but is a former first select what do you think of that idea would that be a potential you think Chance at it I mean the end end of the uh the three-day weekend it's probably a little better to get people to come in the middle if they got points I did appreciate Jordan's Council on having a cancel it he to well let me tell you this was a great call I know you got a little heat social media but it was boring at 10:00 so ex first of all that's that's one of the reasons I I want to come this evening my name is carlos21 B Road and I'm class of
05963 I wanted to come and and thank the people in the school district that helped out with the Memorial Day pray uh I made comments to the board of slman that they thought I thought the pr getting a little shotty and uh open my big mouth and got appointed the chair of the citizens they pray for me so be that be that less you go to the board SL you get yourself in trouble uh but I I wanted to hope you give me a couple more minutes I want to specifically thank some of the staff that helped out first uh this CL nardy she did an excellent job uh working with me uh to put together a list between the 4 what she a clean from the school the uh list from the uh assessor's
060office in the list of the town clerk we able to identify over 300 veterans that live in town of that we got responses or got uh letters out to 29 s of them and given that list to qu and I hope that you can use that successfully when you have your veteran State uh sharonies in the school next next next November but thought he was very very helpful in doing that also very helpful in getting the students lined up to do the speeches as the cemetery which is one of the things I complained about that I thought was was lost over the last few years so she did her things I'd also like to acknowledge Rael mani's uh support when I did make the call on Sunday evening cancel I contacted her uh we had
061talked previously she was able to get two trumpeters there to do the national anthem when we had the uh Cemetery C ceremony in the auditorium at the high school and they also did beautiful rendition te of TS so I thank her for that and also with the communication specialist she was there to help get us set up and make sure all the the audio portion of the the program is I I thank her for that also and also Tommy Rich and his staff get get the uh custodian there to get the uh get the school setup originally I'm pointing on being in the uh Community Center for the f we moved that over to the cafeteria the high school that went very smoothly and then the cemetery service also thanks to efforts from the uh
062the your staff did a excellent job to to make that happen so again again thanks on that the question whether or not be M something I I could men rep was the rep selectman but I don't know we had on that second second I I want to address was uh I appear before you on May 2nd and without taking position for against the warrior I asked for information on how much money was being left on the table uh by not being able to get the tribal money and to this point in time I still hav't receed that despite saying you be yeah and that that's my fault but um actually Fox happens to be a client line so I I had uh generally and mentioned that to them they said f f further out from
063the tribe less and less money um potentially for us being right at the edge of it it might be between $3 and $3,500 depending on how profitable the year was for the tribe so it can range anywhere from there the larger towns the closer towns that take on all the traffic and all that other uh stuff they get between 25 50,000 out of the tribe uh I can get that in riding for you but uh I just we're not we're not a lot budget situation I I was going to have toit up your budget it was one item I was PR I thought that should be there then another suggestion I would have is when questions are asked after the meting like that if the responses could somehow be reflected in a record the future
064either under the communication section so that anybody who's reading minutes would have full transparency as to what the question is and resp resp my Prim reason here tonight was to just thank you for all the work that you did on on the parade hopefully next year at w I look forward to whatever my successes may be thank you thank you dck anyone else just here to enjoy the meeting we're here to just support our son there you okay yeah we go online all right then we'll move to online sure so if you're joining us online today you can go ahead and use that raised hand feature Zoom call on you by your Zoom name you'll be allowed to make public comment four attendees but no ra okay thank you then I'll close up the public
065comment thank you everybody um new business the new business were up 6 to3 in the second quarter for lacrosse lacrosse is in semi just waiting for my my wife is down at the up pole so okay uh let's just quickly uh standing board reports I I suspect there's no Finance report that you haven't met uh policy didn't meet tonight and we from the last meeting we had passed those policies yeah uh what I did mention last time is next year the first policy we'll look at after the state law changes I would be the D policy uh the community made some comments that got us all thinking and take a look at that policy and beyond that if anyone has policy they would like the committee to look at so I was talking to Jordan
066earlier today and she had mentioned at uh poliy that she would like to participate so I can't remember um the members in that but um I think I'm going to be appointing her to policy and uh to finance Finance unless unless anybody has an objection I that more officient on August great um Erica curriculum technology yes uh so our last May meeting we uh reviewed Mr Bishop's monthly activities um which were tremendous um we had a second review and passage of the statistics textbook second review and passage of the educator evaluation and growth plan we reviewed the experiential learning experiences for all grade levels for the year we had them out on a list and then we also Al reviewed the summer reading guidelines so sum meeting guidelines so so whatever happens to curriculum does
067that go forward out toool I mean Mr Bishop if it's all right I'll jump in I just shared that U uh the process that the middle and high school are moving forward of encouraging students to be able to read and number of different resources that they had to be able to to work with um including the the governor's reading challenge uh nut made books uh but encouraging kids to be able to to read and stay stay fluent in their work that information will be communicated from the schools uh after school is after school is released okay great great okay thank you so it's not it's not that it gets approved by curriculum he's just keeping us he's informing M okay so anyway that's it any other questions curriculum so so let's just uh let's reset
068for a minute so Finance meets next Tuesday does curriculum meet again we've decided not to meet in June okay the agenda you set for that next year forc yeah we set it in the fall the meeting or the agenda no just agenda and then Mr shler poliy not meet now till till sep till September okay okay and then I wasn't going to forget you now need Communications um we had a meeting on uh yesterday the third via Zoom at 2 um talked about the engagement um of the website utilization like a lot of the families in the Middle School are utilizing websit to get information so kind of tracking that seeing uptick in that and then we will meet again prior to the start of next year and the um first issue that newsletter will
069focus on staff updates as well as the space issue at Cherry Brook talk about that as well and um you what's your thought on is that a November drop on that um on the newsletter is it October maybe it should be octob yeah especially with Al be going out J it's good great and then I guess you'll have to have some additional is additional communication about the school tours things that iess we'll work through you on that okay any questions on Communications okay um calendar events they're in they're in your kit you can see that um so do we do we have a date on our yeah I I would I know say I would propose and for the Board of Education grreat the this year before school starts that if you remembering the teachers
070contract there is 3 days now that they have and one of the conflicts that we had last year with the board of educational retreat was a few of you had children you needed to go to your children's orientation August 27th which I believe is the Tuesday Mr Bishop right that is the teacher work day so there's going to be no or orientation programs on that day at the school part of the reason that I like for a board of education to do a board of education with tree before school starts and while the teachers are there is that the second part of the day you're able to go to the schools you're able to greet um staff on that day you're able to look at our facilities and how our facilities look that day so
071it's a working meeting in the morning and I anticipate that we're going to be looking at a possible draft of a the school's strategic plan a fiveyear to six-year strategic plan based upon our goals and possibly an update from Rich Mills our attorney and then in afternoon we go into the school so I'm proposing August 27 to the board for the Board of Education Retreat and if people don't want to do it before school um then then we' have to go back to the drug board so if you want to send me your com we don't have to U play with our calendars now but you can send me your comments on the 27th that is going to work for you 8:27 for the board retreat day convocation is then convocation is the Monday on
072the 26th okay would that be a daytime commitment or evening which one the Board of Ed Retreat yeah the Board of Ed Retreat we be do the whole day just like we did we start around 8:30 9:00 and then we will go to probably 2:30 3:00 okay do you know what time convocation is convocation will be in the afternoon roughly around 1 130 on the 26 Claud is putting together a list of all the meetings and the times and um including the board of edry proposed and it will also list down when we're going into the schools also so she's working on that it's pretty much done and um just just for Jordan's um help uh I promised her list the board meetings that we set for next year yeah that that's what that's what
073y we can get you all that we can get you the dates right off the bat what we're trying to do is map out when we're going to be in these schools didn't uh okay anything else so uh we move right over to board member announcements anything board has any board member want to mention anything no I just had a question so when a when a Community member asks a question you are the one that's going to direct it to and you respond is there a procedure or a way where like if you do go to answer them we can know that you given them information the information does that make sense absolutely so that doesn't happen if they don't come to come to us again and say they haven't heard so if it comes
074to me through you and I will always see you back with the answer or if I call them and I I'm not writing I'm not doing an email I'll call you to let you know I respond and and if I pass it on to the superintendent I'll let you know the super just because like dicks come twice to our ask questions and two times he hasn't been given the information back so I just don't want to set the precent that like we don't care and that the board doesn't respond yeah and that that should actually be under our action items for followup we should be tracking that so if we could do that car that be great good points I get that than get yeah thank you y okay um that moves us right into
075um uh our consent agenda so um any comments on consent agenda no whether I no okay uh motion to uh approve the Board of Education approve the consent AG agenda and with in that um do it does this go in with so uh can I have a motion can't Board of Education approve agenda thank you Joe thank you Erica first and second by Joe and Erica any discussion on consent agenda all those in favor I oppos pass oh and any extensions yes I accus myself from thank you that I to look down I don't like the way I can't see down okay so that is 1 2 3 4 71 701 thank you uh may I have a motion to the Board of Education um Now we move through we've had conversation about the superintendent's
076extension superintendent gets a three-year contract mans every year um I would like a motion to remove the camp board of education extend the superintendent's contract by one year to June 30th 2027 as well as authorized the chair to Anze and execute the terms and conditions of the super superintendent's contract first thank you Russell have a second thank you Joe first and second any discussion hearing none all those in favor I opposed extensions and one thank you very much 701 so congratulations stay extra year all right um all right so that's funny congratul so we we all know that what we've done is we've moved the uh this the uh trying to move the custodian contract out one year we had this conversation last year so we're not bargaining for every contract all at once so
077we we uh we extended and they've agreed we've agreed to one-year extension of the custodians collective bargaining agreement through June 30th 2025 so I have a motion to the Board of Education approve the proposed one-year extension of the custodians collective bargaining agreement through June 30th 2025 thank you Felicia second thank you Russell any discussion all those in favor I extensions thank you Jordan 701 again great meeting tonight everybody I wish you all a Happy uh and a in a great summer I look forward to no word yet I look forward to seeing those of you with graduation those that are going to be handing out their diploma to their children with a great honor and exciting time that is so with that said we have a motion to rejourn the Board of Education Felicia Kim
078thank you any discussion all those in favor I you can vote on this one Jordan all right we are J thank you very much for your time tonight enjoy your summer you'll be hearing from me I'm sure
