life. >> Good morning. It's Thursday, March 19th. Uh this is the special meeting of the finance committee. Uh we'll start with review of February 2026 financial report. Rich, uh so this is the financial report through February. Uh we do show a positive balance of 274,779, which is a slight increase of just over $8,000 from the prior month. Um there was not that many uh changes in the month of February was a short month and we had a number of snow days. So the changes include some salary savings of just over 28,000 that is from an OT an ELP OT as well as a secretary some step and level savings at the high school for some clubs of just over 5,000 and then we have a reduction in ELP tuition due to some refunds as we

had some students um classified as special education. Uh overall the general education RC's are a positive 12,822 while the special education RC's are a positive 261,957. And just as a reminder, the bulk of that savings is from excess cost uh reimbursement. Uh just going through the RC's. Um as I mentioned earlier, the step and level savings at the high school for some student interest clubs and theater and music clubs. Uh moving to RC24, I mentioned the new secretary um started a little bit later than anticipated. And so that's a balance savings of $1,300. And then at RC26, occupational therapist show positive balance of 26,686 due to a delayed start. Um we had held these funds kind of in a rears anticipating potentially having to move that to contracted services. Um but at this point we

don't expect that uh to be needed and so that falls to the available balance. And then um as I mentioned earlier, ELP tuition shows now a positive balance of 11,375. Um we started the year with 46 uh 46 paying students against a budget of 45. So that's the slight increase above budget. And then I mentioned we had a couple of students reclassified um as special education. So they go from paying to not paying. >> I just had one question on the EOP. So with the two reclassified students, does that mean we'll have a drag for the next few months or >> uh what do you mean by a drag? >> Like it'll be continue to be a negative. >> No. So uh that's like a a one-time shot. So the tuition is build in October

and then in February and a couple of parents we do give the ability to pay monthly. Okay. So this is now revenue that's already kind of out the door so we don't expect it to go down. >> Okay. Other questions you want to bill? >> Oh um I was just going to ask about overtime for a snow removal and I do expect a lot more of that to be coming or >> um so we did do a couple of superintendent adjustments uh to cover for that. Um assuming we have no more snow for the rest of the year. I think we should be good. We did end up having to put a few thousand dollars more than anticipated due to the number of storms. >> Bill. >> Hi Rich. Good morning. Um on the RC's

for uh special ed on the first page 274 give or take. Um do we expect that? I just a question of the mechanics of how it works. Will that be drawn down as the year progresses? >> Uh nope. Not unless we have a need for it. And so the bulk of that 274,000 about 222 is excess cost related. Um, so we got the first installment of excess costs in February. Uh, the balance of those funds come in May. And so once we receive those bal that balance of funds in May, then the money is in our account. Um, so at the end of the year, if there's no needs for it or the board doesn't choose to transfer those for other purposes, it gets returned to the town. >> Great. And, um, I don't know

if this is the right form. Uh, I just noticed I just was curious about one of the the line items in the comments at the end. ARP Sumber Mental Health Support 92,500 to support curriculum writing for wellness. >> Yep. So, a few years ago, Alicia Dad received a grant um for mental health support. And so, part of it is to incorporate um like mental health support in curriculum writing and um you know, just general like training and uh things like that, professional development for staff. Um and so that's a three-year grant and that is starting to wind down. And so in the summer she brings in teachers and staff members and she provides some training for them. >> Great. Thank you. Thank you for explaining it. >> Uh John's on. I don't know if he

has anything. >> No questions for me. >> Okay. Thank you. And then uh budget transfers. I don't we don't have any. >> So there are no transfers for the month. >> Okay. Sounds like that's wrap. Public comment. >> We have no members of the public to participate. >> Okay. Motion to adjourn. Joanna
