Welcome to the East Line Middle School morning news show. Please stand for the pledge. I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Um, technical difficulties. >> Welcome to the Elm's morning news show. I'm your host, Lily. Today is Thursday, November 20th, and we will be following a B2day schedule. Please stay tuned for our administrators. >> We got another promotion today with our administrators. I guess you guys are administrators now. Congrats. Um, morning everybody. So, a couple things to talk about today. Obviously, I have some more special guests with me today. And from the looks of them, I'm thinking you might be guessing it has to do with our town football. So, if
you want to introduce yourselves real quick. What team grade? >> Yeah. >> I'm True Fa. I'm in the Wellska eighth grade. >> I'm Brian Cooper. I'm in the Welsh KA eighth grade. >> Uh, I'm Lane. I'm in eighth grade and on the Welks. >> All right. So, it sounds like we had this past weekend a bit of an exciting weekend. You want to share what happened over this past weekend? >> We won against uh Fitch Groten 37 to 28 >> and this was the like the Super Bowl for you guys. This is >> Back to back. So two years in a row. That's awesome guys. Congrats. >> How many people in the building would you say are on the team? >> Uh actually not many this year. >> No line. >> It was more people
from old line. >> Okay. >> All right. Well to you guys and to everyone in the building who was on the team, congrats. I know that's really hard, but back toback wins is really awesome and that's a really hard thing to do. So, congrats to you guys. >> Yeah, thank you. >> When I started it was like we won zero of 13 games and now like these past two years I've only lost like two games. So, I would say just stick with it >> and you'll be good. >> I think that's a really great advice. Is there anything else any you guys wanted to share? >> It's just that try to play the game. It's actually really fun. You can >> Yeah. >> And I think that applies to all sports, right? Like anything you're
doing, just keep trying. You're not going to be perfect at it the first time, but keep going. >> All right, cool. Thanks, guys. So, you're more than welcome to stay while I talk about the assembly, or you are more than welcome to head to class. Totally up to you. >> Um, so I do want to talk about our assembly today. Um, we have an assembly today. Bye, guys. Um, it's going to be a we're going to have trimesterly assemblies, very similar for those of you who were last year to the one we had at the end of last year. Really just to celebrate all the successes of the trimester. So, I really want to emphasize that that our purpose is to celebrate. Okay? So, we want to be cheering on our our peers. We want
to be cheering on our teachers. We don't want to be booing. We don't want to have any of that negative stuff. This is an opportunity to celebrate and cheer for everyone else in the building and everything they do. So, we're looking for a really positive positive assembly. Just be mindful there's going to be a lot of people there, so there could be a lot of noise. The other thing I want to ask is that you don't stomp on the bleachers. I know we do that when we're excited, but I also don't want you to break the bleachers. So, we want to stick to applauding um and again cheering for positive things. and we will see you for that assembly shortly. We'll be calling you down by team. Thanks everybody. >> The school store opened for
sixth graders during their lunch period on Friday. Many thanks to all of the fifth graders that supported it and made last week.
