002you [Music] I've Pledger religion stands [Music] thank you Annie and Dylan you may now be seated we also want to start off with our welcoming messages today we'll be honoring our welcome to English Chinese symbol in Spanish Urdu and Vietnamese and we'll have Audrey Chang sanchung Manny Sierra Jocelyn Flores Katrina vinoya a Sonic ball and main way he's come to the stage for international welcome [Music] parents teachers we're honored to have your presence in our fifth grade promotion of class 2023 at Ben pager Elementary School [Applause] thank you [Music] and [Music] um and welcome to Ben painter Elementary School families thank you [Applause] [Music] um awesome parents uh teachers in our classmates and I guess thank you for um [Music] but but yeah [Music] [Applause] all right so thank you again for everyone for joining
003us I just have a few words to say then we'll have some student speeches our teachers and then we'll do be doing our certificates of promotion so again for those of you who don't know me I'm your crowd painter principal men Luca it's my second year here and before I get started I do want to acknowledge some folks in the room thank you again to miss McDonald's who taught a half cohort of her fifth graders and Miss pastrado who taught our fourth graders last year and rolled up with them for fifth grade so thanks to our classroom teachers looking around thank you Miss Lozano I see Miss Walker Miss Ramona Mr Damian Mr fan Mr lay thank you for all of the support we've provided our fifth graders this year oh and Mr Berna sorry
004Mr Berta of course how can I forget uh it's been a learning year for sure this was been our first year where we've removed our pandemic restrictions our big push here with our fifth graders has been to get them used to socializing in person right changing from digital to physical learning to support them here we have established sports for all grades science labs art and then putting all of our investments into the human learning to get them back to socializing with one another in person I want to also acknowledge that our fifth graders went through a challenging time with three years under the pandemic restrictions we've done our best to reconnect our students with resources in the community and to use restorative approaches to learn how to conflict resolve with one another when other problems
005arise I'm so happy to have brought my middle school and high school background here to support our students in this key learning as they prepare for the next step in middle school I want to wish every student here great success in your next chapter as a former Middle School principal uh Middle School administrator assistant principal and teacher I know you'll all be very successful so again congratulations to our fifth grade promoting class here at painter [Applause] we have four student speeches so I first want to call to the stage Gabriella please come to the stage after Gabriella we have Rayleigh Lorenzo Logan Wayne and then Julie Tran so please come up [Music] welcome to the 2023 fifth grade promotion my name is Gabby and these past years at Ben painter Elementary have been wonderful I've
006had many great memories I've been painter but this school year has been tough I have made a lot of friends this year that encourage me and help me all the past teachers I have had in this school have helped me prepare for fifth grade the best part of this school year is all the activities like soccer basketball volleyball and football our school science program has teach the students of Ben painter and hozo also has inspired some students our school has a mascot named Mr Tabby and the students of Ben painter admire this school year has been very fun and US fifth graders will miss being a student at back painter Elementary we wish that next year's fifth graders had a lot of fun and have lots of field trips and more after-school programs I remember
007in one in fifth grade the pandemic started and online school was different and difficult for All Families because it took time to adjust to laptops thank you all teachers and staff from Ben and Pacers [Applause] staff students and Families First I want to congratulate everyone in fifth grade for making it here to the end of this chapter all of you worked so hard to make it here but where we are now we're finally done with elementary students we're now moving to a new chapter in our lives which is Middle School I understand if some of us are afraid or nervous after all some of us are going to new schools and there we meet unfamiliar faces in Middle School a new chapter we will face a lot of pressure and stress but you need to
008keep your head up and try your best it doesn't have to be perfect or anything it only matters if you try your Harvest because a good leader needs to have clear those strong communication skills and a product and a positive attitude to be a leader we need to figure out where we are and where we plan on going it is up to you to make your decisions but sometimes it comes with consequences may it be good or bad some people want the grades some want to make new friends some of us want to make school a better and positive place for everyone to be a leader especially in middle school is to cite your goals and Achieve them or at least try to use your strong communication skills and have a positive attitude because middle
009school will be a lot different than Elementary so we need to study more and focus on your task and try your best to be successful there are many ways to succeed in life but one way is to be a leader leaders don't have to be the most intelligent or most outgoing people all that matters is to try and learn new experiences I want to congratulate everyone at fifth grade for making it here [Applause] foreign [Applause] [Music] helped me accomplish many things that I thought I couldn't do and learn many things that will help me in the future and I am very efficient of them for encouraging me to do better throughout the years of elementary school I had mentored many wonderful memories and one of them is when I made friends that were always there
010for me a memory kindergarten was when my teacher would let us do many fun things a memory and first grade is when our teacher would make us Green Eggs and Ham because we rent the book that she teacher would it's always nice singing and really very good teacher he would let us play more continuously and let us know a good Marianne those ratings were not the best because it was online school then in fourth grade a good memory was seeing my parents again and having fun with them a good memory in fifth grade is good enough because my friend went to a different School um as we move to another chapter let's keep on doing our best we are success in your birth a lot thank you [Applause] it is my pleasure to welcome all
011students staff and families to events we are all here to congratulations [Music] it was different but but it didn't help me or anymore retired [Music] and we all made her up and down even the ones who learned so hard they have been known for days even I is in trouble covered right now it's going for players is The Flash extinct weird another done that most people end on us is the Explorer yeah of course it might seem unbelievable to work itself but rather the strong some people might be very smart but they don't really good because they are too interested and then they end up making 30 seconds thank you and now we've finished the chapter of our life and we will now start a new chapter a little too much I'm very grateful too
012don't take care of Elementary Community [Music] practices [Music] it would be hard to let go of the schools but all good things have a great school year next year [Applause] all right thank you now we're going to follow up our teachers with their messages to the graduates yeah mrado and Miss McDonald please come to the stage and make your remarks I also want to call out our coaches so thank you coach KJ in the house people out all the way from Oregon to surprise our kids because we've continued his program up there if you have our coach Tui who's also here I've been really happy to bring Sports back to the school so that our kids are Athletics so miss Pastrana good morning students parents fellow Educators and guests welcome and thank you for coming
013to celebrate the promotion of fifth graders and to close the chapter of their life's journey Elementary School it has been an honor and the privilege to teach these group of students I've seen and witnessed how much they've grown academically emotionally mentally and socially for the past two years that I've been with them it wasn't an easy ride as we all went through the transition from online to an in-person learning we have to learn some Concepts skill sets habits and routines and at the same time learn new ones but we made it through and I think with flying colors as well I am so proud of what you have become and looking forward to who you become someday I'd like to thank you all students for your hard work for trying your best becoming more open
014the learning and learning to be more responsible respectful towards others becoming critical and Global thinkers communicators collaborators problem solvers and good citizens as you mentioned into middle schooling please always remember to believe in yourself no matter what other people be your own number one cheerleader be kind to yourself and be good to yourself also remember the power of yet when things get difficult and challenging you have proven to yourself and to me that you can learn you can do it when you try especially when you put your heart and mind into it lastly I wish you all the best on your next endeavor dream big work hard shine and do your best you can do it I'm gonna miss you all congratulations prevent Beaver Elementary School class of 2023.
