001all right perfect thank you and good morning fisher saints happy friday happy fourth quarter and we are pretty much almost done so with the school year and i can't i don't even know what else to say other than i can't believe that the year flew by that quickly i mean in my opinion i thought it went by pretty quick so i'm excited to go ahead and start off with our final student awards um assembly and i also hope that y'all had a wonderful spring break because this is the first time that we're together for quite some time um so with that being said thank you so much for being here y'all happy friday and i can't wait um for all of you to go ahead and celebrate each other and each other's accomplishments um so

002with that being said i will go ahead and pass the mic on to our principal dr clyden all right thank you miss abbad i echo everything that miss abod said it is a happy friday right it's been a long time since the last quarter assembly so welcome and thank you for being here so here's our quote just like quarter one and quarter two right we we come up with these quotes to keep us moving and so the quote today is from walt disney all right keep moving forward now you know we miss about and i we actually really find this quote to be uh inspirational for us as we're moving throughout the school year right and we as of monday we're coming towards the last 30 something days of this school year you guys have

003all worked so hard um and we'll continue to work hard right for the last 30 plus days as we uh finish up this school year so remember continue to move forward not just in school though but in life right when uh something knocks you down get back up keep moving forward okay decision you don't like or uh you don't win a game or something like that you dust yourself off you get back up keep moving forward so we want you to keep moving forward now thank you mr bob so here's what's happening not just at fisher but in alam rock school district all right this is a historic time for our district and let's talk about fisher though this is a historic time for fisher we we've never been in a pandemic in our lifetime

004right definitely not you guys i know we haven't um us as adults so we've never been asked to come back to school right uh during a you know pandemic so this is all new and this is the history this is historic time so this schedule here is going to start on monday your teachers should have been already prepping you uh yesterday regarding this new schedule so i'm going to really walk through the new schedule with you so uh period seven aka zero period stays the same okay no changes there morning meeting stays the same so your start time which is nine o'clock in the morning and your end time of school which is two o'clock stays the same that does not change all right so nine am two pm and the school does not change

005now what does change is uh the current schedule that we're on right now it has a period right after lunch correct so it either has third period or sixth period right after lunch starting monday that period where those two periods have been moved before lunch as you see here okay in order to do that we had to shorten some of the class time so for example period one is 44 minutes long which i think now it's like 74 minutes long right uh period two 44 minutes period three 44 minutes then you'll have a 60 minute lunch like like we currently do but instead of the lunch being at 11 46 we move that up 16 minutes right so it's a slight change in the schedule it's actually not too much of a change so uh

00611 46 is our current lunch it is now 11 30 and it ends at 12 30. now 12 30 to 2 this is the bulk of the change here okay let's talk about those of you that are remaining in distance learning there was a survey that was sent out to your families in march asking if you were if you and your families were interested in having you come back to in-person learning for a 90-minute block in the afternoon okay those students where where them and their families filled out the survey you should have been already notified by me or someone in the office so we already have those students coming so this is the historic part we have students coming back to school on monday so yeah on monday we have students that chose to

007come back coming back to school on monday uh for from 12 30 to 2 o'clock a 90-minute block for instruction and this instruction is going to be targeted around sel right social emotional learning uh skills could be targeted around some fun activities uh some class assignments so we want to make it a really fun time for those students that are coming back so this is why we had to shift the schedule right because we have students coming back to in-person learning which is awesome now those of you that are not coming back to in-person learning and you know who you are you're going to stay in distance learning okay so you'll keep doing school as usual from your house right um you'll follow this new schedule everyone's following this new schedule but when you hit

00812 30 rather than reporting to a class like you're doing now right you're going to be doing asynchronous work so let's let's take up monday and wednesdays okay uh you're going to do async work for first period second period and third period on monday and wednesday you will also your teachers should be able to connect with you right through office hours you can message your teachers call your teachers in that time for assistance to get some some extra support or tutoring regarding your assignments so that's what we want you to do tuesday and thursday it's the same schedule right but you'll be doing async work for fourth period fifth period and sixth period but i really want you between 12 30 and two besides doing your work reach out to your teachers if you don't

009understand something or if you have a question and your teachers can and probably will call you for small groups right virtually so be ready for that as well now fridays fridays stay the same okay there's no in-person learning on fridays so in-person learning is only monday through thursday those students are coming to the campus fridays schedules stays the same uh except that we we our lunch time is 11 30 to 12 30 okay but other than that it stays the same uh no no major changes with friday's schedule morning meeting you still have to report uh check checking with your teachers attendance is taken and morning meaning okay but then the rest of friday is either assemblies like this uh teachers calling you back for small group instruction or maybe some class presentations on friday

010and then you're doing async work for all your classes on friday so fridays remain the same you don't need to worry about it the only changes are on the monday through thursday schedule but you see it right here and this was sent out yesterday to your parents in parent square and also it's going to be posted in echo and your teachers are are going to be posting on their specific classrooms and echo so you should be fine all right there's really no need for questions on this it's pretty self-explanatory once you read it all right so we're gonna move on all right student of the quarter let's do it okay we're ready who's up sixth grade congratulations naily ortiz for sixth grade student of the month naily often you are quiet in class but whenever
