Still let the [music] peace come free. Paint a verse in the sky with a loose loose leaf. While the moon do a dance with a soulful tree. Let it ride, let it [music] breathe, let it be what it be. Got a breeze in my chest and a thought run free. I don't [music] rush, I don't race, I just flow on three. Got a vibe in my soul, got a life on key. [music] Let it ride, let it breathe, let it roll like that. Got the world in my cup and the beat in the back. I don't stress, [music] I don't fold, I just lean on facts. If the sun don't shine, I'mma still bounce back. [music] I've been good, I've been gone, I've been lost in a loose. Got a hoodie and some headphones walking

[music] with truth. Ain't no answers in the feed, just noise and flex, but I found God once [music] in a vinyl set. Talk slow when I speak, let the moment stretch. Learn peace [music] ain't found, it's a thing you protect. Yeah, I vibe like water, I change and shift, but the roots still deep like my grandma's grits. City move fast, [music] but I drift like smoke. Let the rhythm in my chest be the way I cope. Wrote a song [music] for the days that felt soft and broke. While the healing don't shout, but it's still got hope. Let it ride, let it breathe, let it be [music] what it be. Got a breeze in my chest and a thought run free. I don't rush, I don't race, [music] I just flow on three. Got a

I'mma still bounce back. >> [music] >> Tell me who I know I Tell me who going to and fall. I've been running from my flaws, [music] still I'm standing 10-ft tall. Mirror, mirror, don't you lie. I can see it in my eyes. Truth going to surface every time, even when no Dancing with my shadow in a room full of gold, trying to count all my regrets like the stories [music] I told. Mama said, "Boy, don't sell your soul for applause." But the silence louder than I thought than a million gods. I seen kings [music] pop quick for a hit on a real thing. Queens trade crowns for a six-figure deal. I don't blame them. [music] I just pray for them. We all one mistake from the cage out of [music] graveyard. Living like a movie,

but the crowd is never loyal. They going to crop [music] you out the frame if you ever lose control. Talk truth, they call it hate, but the fake love louder than the ache. Every scar got a sermon [music] in it. Every L got a learning in it. I ain't perfect. I just putting how I lived it. If the game rigged, then I still [music] pivot. Mirror, mirror, on the wall, tell me who's going to rise and fall. I've been running from my flaws, [music] still I'm standing 10-ft tall. Mirror, mirror, don't you lie. I can see it [music] in my eyes. Truth going to surface every time, even when no Mirror, mirror, on the wall, tell me who's [music] going to rise and fall. I've been running from my flaws, still I'm standing 10-ft tall.

Mirror, mirror, don't you lie. I can see it in my eyes. Truth going to surface every time, [music] even when They want captions, not scriptures. They want clout, not pictures. They want pain, and a filter. So I bleed through the pics like [music] scriptures. You can't cancel what's already broken. You can't mute what's been out spoken. I spit truth with a chip. I'mma show you how I chew my own tongue in a world getting colder. Used to pray for [music] a check, now I check on my spirit. Cuz the money don't work on your soul lately. I seen fake [music] friends turn saints in the crisis, but they ghost real quick when the [music] fame hit its highest. Still I ride for my day ones. Still I ride when the pain [music] comes. I don't

flex, I reflect. I don't fear, I dissect. Yeah. Every verse got a little confession like every scar I have a deeper question. [music] Dear mirror, I know I tell me who going to rise and fall. I've been running from [music] my flaws, still I'm standing ten feet tall. Dear mirror, don't you lie. I can see it in my eyes. True colors [music] surface every time, even when I'm low. Dear mirror, I know I tell me who going to rise and fall. I've been running from my flaws, still [music] I'm standing ten feet tall. Dear mirror, don't you lie. I can see it in my [music] eyes. My name is Gary Brown and I am privileged to serve as a principal at Lower High School, home of the Saxons. It is with great pleasure I now pass the baton to our MC for today's ceremonies. Please welcome Ms. Sophia Ringel. Good afternoon parents, family members, students, staff, and dignified guests. Welcome to the 2026 Lower High School commencement ceremony. My name is Sophia Ringel and I will be your master of ceremonies. Today is a special day and one we are excited to celebrate together. This ceremony is

both a joyous and solemn occasion. Please let us remember to be courteous to those around us. We need to be respectful through our seniors during the ceremony. So, no air horns or noise makers. Please remain seated while filming or taking photos. And remember to keep recording devices at chest level to not impede the visions of others seated around you. Please keep the aisle or walkways open throughout the ceremony. Today's ceremony is being live streamed and will remain on the district's YouTube channel to view at your convenience. It is so great that we can all be here together to celebrate the class of 2026. Without further ado, let us begin. At this time, I would like to invite Hannah Tran to lead us in the pledge of allegiance. Please remain standing for the pledge of allegiance.

Please place your right hand over your heart. Ready? Begin. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Please remain standing for the national anthem sung by our very own La Quinta High School Choir under the direction of Ms. Kelty. Oh, say [singing] can you see by the dawn's early [singing] light, what so proudly we hailed >> [singing] >> at the twilight's last gleaming, whose broad stripes and [singing] bright stars through the perilous fight, o'er the ramparts [singing] we [music] watched, were so gallantly [singing] streaming. And the rockets' red glare, >> [singing] >> the bombs bursting in air, gave proof >> [singing] >> through the night that our flag was [music and singing]

still there. Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner >> [singing] >> yet wave >> [singing] >> o'er the land of the free and the [singing] home of the brave? >> [applause] >> Thank you. Please be seated. I would like to begin this ceremony by introducing our dignified guests. From the Anaheim Union High School District Board of Trustees, Jessica Guerrero, president. Anne Marie Randall Trejo, clerk. Ron Hoshizaki, assistant clerk. Dr. Jose Paula Macalalas, member. Brian O'Neal, member. And from our Anaheim Union High School District Cabinet, Dr. Jaron Fried, superintendent. Amy Quan, assistant superintendent of educational services. Now, please welcome our first senior class speaker, Jean Ashley Recinto. >> [cheering] >> Good afternoon, guests, parents, friends, staff, and of course, my fellow graduates of the class of 2026. My name is Jean Ashley Recinto, and I'm truly honored

to stand here today and represent this incredible class of 2026. It has been 4 years since we started high school. And when you really think about it, it wasn't just the big milestones that brought us here. It was the little things, the everyday moments, the ones that didn't seem important at the time, but somehow meant everything. It was applying for club positions and hoping for the best. It was passing the tests we studied for, and failing the ones we definitely didn't. It was hearing phones away for the hundredth time and still acting like we didn't know what they were talking about. But for some of us, there were things that people didn't always see. Some of us carried fears we never said out loud, or worried about losing people we love. Some of us went

home to silence, responsibility, >> [crying] >> Oh my god. Sorry. Or struggles we were too young to have to carry. And for some, just showing up to school every day took more courage than anyone realized. We had breakdowns, late-night cram sessions. We had setbacks, disappointments, and days when giving up felt easier. But we kept going, and that is what makes this moment so meaningful because now when we look back at all those little things, we realize that they were never little at all. They were shaping us, teaching us, strengthening us. They taught us responsibility, resilience, and how to keep moving forward even when life felt heavy. And that strength deserves to be recognized today. Before I go, I want to leave the class of 2026 with one simple piece of advice. When life gets hard,

just go through it. It sounds simple, but we all know it isn't because going through it takes strength, it takes courage, it takes heart. And if there's one thing our class has proven, it is that we know how to push through. Today, we stand here together not because everything was easy, but because we refused to quit. >> [crying] >> We didn't just make it through high school. We grew through it. And those moments add up. The quiet progress, the unseen efforts, the steps forward no one else notices, they matter. And one day we'll look back and realize that those little moments led us somewhere greater than we ever imagined. To my support system, So, as we leave Lo-Ellen, I hope we don't wait for the big moments to feel proud of ourselves. I hope we

celebrate the small victories, the silent strength, and the progress that no one applauds, but that changes us anyways. As Ms. Herbert always says, make good choices, be good people. Congratulations, class of 2026. We made it. Thank you. >> [cheering] [applause] >> Thank you, Jean. At this time, our Lawera High School Choir will sing In My Life. >> [crying] [crying] >> There are places [singing and music] I remember all my [singing and music] life, though some have changed, >> [music] >> some forever [singing] not for better. Some have gone >> [singing] >> and some remain. [music] All these places had their moments >> [music] >> with lovers [singing] and friends. I still can recall. Some are [music] dead and some are living. >> [singing] >> In [music] my life, I love But of all [music and

singing] these friends and lovers, there [singing] is no one >> [music] >> compares with you. And these memories [singing] lose their meaning when I [music] think of love >> [singing] >> as something new. Though I know I'll never lose [music] affection [singing] for people and things >> [music] >> that went before, >> [singing] >> I know I'll often stop and think about them. In my >> [singing] >> life, I love >> [music] >> you more. >> [singing] [music] >> There are places [singing] I remember all [singing] my life, >> [music] >> though some have changed. Some forever, >> [singing] >> not for better. >> [music] >> Some have gone [singing] >> [music] >> and some remain. Though [music] I know >> [singing] >> I'll never lose affection for people [singing] and things >> [music] >>

that went before, I know I'll often stop and think about [singing] them. In my >> [music] >> life, >> [chanting] >> in my life, >> [singing] [music] >> I love you more. >> [music] >> In [singing] my life, I love you more. In my [singing] life, I love [music] you In my [singing] life, I love [music] you more. In my >> [singing] >> life, I love you more. In my [singing] life, I love [music] you more. >> [music] >> Thank you, choir. Please welcome our second class speaker, Kimberly Rodriguez. Good afternoon, parents, respected faculty, and of course, class of 2026. First off, I just want to acknowledge that regardless of our own path that we took to get here, we all reached the end and are looking forward to the beginning of our futures. Every

one of you deserves to feel proud of yourselves. Being a first generation student has had its challenges and I'm sure many of you here today have gone through similar experiences. Sometimes we lack guidance, we experience many firsts, and we find a way to navigate ourselves through it all. Along the way, I learned that to do things the right way, you have to experience the mistakes first. One thing I realized is that no matter how much you've gone through, the world did not end. And if there's one lesson that really stuck with me outside of class, it's that the clock moves one way and that's only forward. High school has given us countless opportunities to make memories that have brought us together with the people we are with today. Just as we are being celebrated by

those in these stands, let's not forget to celebrate those in the chairs sitting alongside us as well, especially those that we had closest to us. For the past 4 years, I have noticed that being surrounded by the right people really does matter. For that, I thank the Flyers for all of the memorable memories you guys have given me. >> [snorts] >> We all found the right people or one person to have had by our sides that pushed, motivated, and even just listened to us, which made our days even just a bit brighter. Today, I stand here most proud of what kept me going through all the overwhelming moments of high school. My parents, like so many others, came to the US to give me the educational opportunities that they never had. For that, I want

not only my own parents to know that they are appreciated, but all of our parents to know that they are appreciated for their sacrifices and hard work that led us to build our foundations of success. That being said, we all took our different paths to get >> [applause] >> We all took our different paths to get to the same point of graduation today. And with that said, always love yours because there's really no life that's better than yours and the one we will all continue to create outside of high school. Congratulations, class of 2026. >> [cheering] [applause] >> Thank you, Kimberly. Now, it is time for the presentation of the class 2026 class gift. It is my pleasure to introduce the senior class president, Rachel Montes, for the presentation of the senior gift. Good afternoon,

friends, family, and the class of 2026. It is my pleasure to present the gift of freshman shirts to next year's ASB president, Joanna No. On behalf of our future Lo-Ellen students, I want to accept this gift from the class of 2026. Thank you, Saxons, for all your hard work and I want to congratulate you all for coming this far. Thank you. I would like to introduce Mr. Brown. All right, thank you, Joanna. And I'd also like to thank our two speakers, Jean and Kimberly, for your amazing reflection and words of wisdom. It is at this time it is my privilege to recognize students who have earned one or more academic honors during their time here at Lo-Ellen High School. Students may have earned one or more distinctions. Students, please stand to be recognized when your

distinction is called. Students who have received academic honors candidates, please stand. >> [applause] >> Thank you. Please be seated. It's going to be a lot of up and down going right now. So, next one is our completed the A-G requirements. >> [applause] >> Thank you. Completed a career or technical education pathway CTE pathways, please stand. Thank you. Completed dual enrollment courses, please stand. Thank you. State Seal of Biliteracy recipients, please stand. Thank you. Visual and Performing Arts recognition, please stand. >> [cheering] >> Thank you. Golden State of Seal Merit Thank you. State Seal of Civic Engagement, please stand. Thank you. Student athletes or club participants, please stand. >> [cheering] [applause] >> Thank you. Saxon Summit Capstone completion, please stand. >> [cheering] [applause] >> Thank you, you may be seated. All right, seniors, how we doing

right now? Today is a big moment. It's your chance to pause and take it all in and celebrate how far you have come. Every late night, every challenge, every small win along the way has led you here today. One of my favorite quotes comes from Kobe Bryant, who said, "The most important thing is to try to inspire people so they can do and be great in whatever they want to do." Class of 2026, I want you to know you've done exactly that. You've inspired all of us. I watched you grow over these past 4 years. I've seen a lot of you figure out who you are, find your people, and step up in ways you maybe didn't expect when you first got here. Yes, you inspired us in the classroom, but what I'll remember most

is how you treated each other. And yeah, we had some big moments, league championships, CIF playoff runs, art shows, choir performances, and seeing our band and color guard represent Lo-Ellen. >> [screaming] [applause] >> Those were great, but not really what I'm going to remember the most. What I'll remember the most is the everyday things, the way you showed up for each other, the friendships, the laughs, and the way you had each other's back when it mattered most. What makes this class special is you made Lo-Ellen a place where people feel accepted for who they are. Our mission talks about building an inclusive environment, creating lifelong learners, and developing active citizens. When I look at you, I see that. I see a group of students who understand that respect matters. The differences matter. And then how

we treat people matters. And if you carry that with you, just being real with people, respecting them, including them, you're going to make a positive impact wherever you go. You've also helped show what Lo-Ellen Lo-Ellen is all about. At Lo-Ellen, we prepare students for what comes next, whether that's college, a career, military, or still figuring it out along the way. When people see our graduates, they know they're ready. They know you've been pushed, supported, and given real opportunities. They know you can handle what's in front of you. That's what it means to be a Saxon. One of the highlights of my year was watching your Saxon Summit presentations. Standing up there presenting your capstones, you showed confidence, growth, and that you're ready for what's next. As Dr. Seuss once wrote, you have brains in your

head and you have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. So, now it's your turn. Whether you're heading to college, the military, trade school, or straight into a career, go after it. Work hard. Don't be afraid to mess up. And keep pushing forward. And don't forget to enjoy the journey along the way. To the families and loved ones that are here today, thank you. Your support has made this possible. Class of 2026, as you leave here today, just remember you will always have a place here at Lo-Ellen. So, before you go, let's do this one last time together. Help me out, please. Once a Saxon Always a Saxon. Congratulations, Class of 2026. >> [cheering] [applause] >> We're proud of you, we believe in you, and we can't wait to see

what you do next. So, now let's get to what we've all been waiting for. Dignitary Dignitaries, can you please take your places on stage. Mr. Pastis and Mr. Saldivar will now read the names of our graduating seniors. We ask that you hold your applause until all names have been read. Every graduate deserves their moment to shine.
