I'm sure we have all watched this exact moment playing out in different movies such as in the third movie of High School Musical in the newest season of Stranger Things. But after a long four years, we have made it. You have all worked hard for this accomplishment and I want you to know that your classmates, your family up on the bleachers and even your relative who's currently running late are all proud of you. Today marks the end of an important chapter in our lives, but the beginning of a new one. I want you all to remember. Think of all the friendships you went through, the homework you turned late, the tears you shed, and the times you laughed until your stomach
was hurting. These past four years have shaped you into the person you are today and despite the hardships, you managed to get through them. And while I'm sure that many of you have learned valuable lessons along the way, I want you to remember, please be kind to one another. Please respect each other, but most importantly, please stay true to yourself and never give up. Keep on working hard to become a better version of yourself. Whether you are part of my community of Spanish-speaking people, I haven't forgotten about you. Mom and Dad, thank you so much for all the support you have given me. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you to all the fathers who are present here, those who fulfilled the role of both and those who are in our hearts. [applause]
Students, this day is for you. I recognize that the road to today has not been easy and will only get more difficult. Even so, this day is for you. We have to celebrate, and this day is for all of you who have traveled the difficult road, not knowing what the future holds, but have fought with a dream towards a better future. Today we are witnesses that it can be done . And I encourage them to follow this message. Our efforts and hard work are not in vain. We have to put in the effort and keep going because today they obtained something that no one can take away from them, and that is the power of education. May all be blessed with love. Thank you so much. [applause][ovation] It is a pleasure to present to you

[applause] Welcome families and colleagues. I'd like to thank the admin Anaheim High School staff for giving me the opportunity to speak today. And a special thank you to my family for always being there for me, willing to talk, console, or encourage me through the ups and downs. Next, I'd like to thank my coaches, teachers, and friends as you've all supported me so well through my high school years. And a big part of what made those years so valuable to me are all of you and the community we have developed and shared. At Anaheim, I may
have been one of the only blonde-haired kids in sight, but never did I feel out of place. And that is thanks to the people around me. Many of you have known each other since before quarantine, and some of you may have only met this year. As big as our school is, you may not know the person next to you. But whether through deep connection or simple courtesy, Anaheim foster is an environment where one can find community regardless of differences. And I treasure this so deeply because I feel as though no matter how stressful life or calculus gets, we always seem to be able to lift each other up. And as we move forward to exciting places and unique callings, I ask each and every one of you to improve upon and extend the compassionate environment
we've built together to whatever community you find yourself in. Because you've taught me that such an environment always makes the hard times easier and the good times better. No matter where you go, if you treat your peers with the same kindness and respect you, then you will be successful and contribute to a world. I leave you with the verse. Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up . just as they have been doing. Thank you. [applause] Now it is my distinct honor to introduce to you our director, Mr. Rubén Calleros. who will address the class of 2026. Please take a seat. Class of 2026. This is the last time that I will have all of you together as an audience. I want to send you off with one last message and a heartful wish from me to you. You all may not know this, but when you came in as a freshman years ago, I too came in as a freshman principal full of excitement, hopes, and dreams. That first year for me, just as it might have been for you, was a scary year with
so many unknowns and many times when tasks felt impossible to achieve. As I reflect now, early on, I thought I was molding you, but I now realized all of you have molded me into the leader I am today. And for that, I will always be grateful to the class of 2026. Thank you. [applause][ovation] Our theme during your freshman year was Anaheim plant seeds. And it gives me great joy to see all those seeds fully flourished right in front of us ready to tackle what lies ahead. Now, as I stand before you as a senior principal, I am overwhelmed with emotion, a grateful heart and honored to have been part of your journey these past four years. I know it wasn't easy and the struggle was real, but that didn't stop any of you from being
here today. Because being a student and today's day and age not only requires the balance of your academics but also navigating the chaos and struggles of your community. In fact, what I admire most about this class is your resilience, your desire. The past four years have been full of wonderful memories and accomplishments, but it had also come with hardships. A recent tragedy reminds us to stop and realize that our time here is a gift, not a guarantee, and it really puts things into perspective. These tragedies leave us to ask, "How do I want to be remembered? What matters to us the most and what am I doing to live up to that with each action? Make no mistake about it. Graduating from high school is a great milestone and it should be celebrated. But I
hope that all of you see this very moment as a starting point for you. The philosopher Socrates as recorded by Plato shares a short but profound view on life. He said the unexamined life is not worth living. quote This reminds us of the importance of taking inventory of our lives, taking time to reflect on blessings, and thanking those around us that support us. Although your name's on the diploma, I want you to acknowledge the village behind you. And as you can see by looking around, that support system is vast and runs deep. it means to be a human in today's world. My wish for all of you is that you embody the values of gratitude, love, integrity, humility, equity, and pay it forward as you continue on your journey. I hope that during your time
with us, all of you experience these values at one point or another and learned what it means to be part of a community. As M so eloquently just stated, remembering that being part of a community comes with a social responsibility to positively contribute to it. The philosopher Aristotle once said, "We are what we prayed to do. Excellence then is not an act. But it's a habit. Your life will have plenty of opportunities for success and many different ways to achieve that success. But remember that what is truly important is how you live with that success. staying true to yourself and living [snorting] a life with purpose. When we stay true to who we are and have a clear purpose, we become more powerful than we could ever imagine. Class of 2026, before I let you
go, I did promise I leave you with one last quote. Don't worry, it's not an ancient philosopher this time. It's actually from a Drake song. I had to put that in there. Always remember you didn't come this far just to come this far and not be happy. All right. [ovation][applause] All right. Thank you for indulging me one last time. I'm going to miss you all dearly. It has been an honor to serve all of you as your principal. Oh, I almost forgot. I almost forgot. I can't let you go without saying one more thing from the Anaheim T with Mr. C. You already know what it is, so don't let me down. Make sure everyone in Anaheim from east to west knows and hears and feels what we know in our hearts to be true.
In fact, think Western is still in session right now. All right. So, one more time, please indulge me. Class of 2026. [shout] Blessings to all. Thank you so much. We now have approached the moment we've all been waiting for. I am pleased to bring forward the class of 2026 and our dignitaries for the awarding of diplomas. Joining me are from the Anahim Union High School District Board of Trustees. President Jessica Guerrero, clerk Anna Marie Rando Trejo, Assistant Clerk Ron Hoshi, Truste Brian O'Ne trust Dr. Jose Mes. Also assisting in the presentations are Martin Calderón, one of our assistant principals and Joe Casependent learning center councelor. They will both read the graduates names. Also, Miss Amy Qu, elite councelor and Aurora Ambr councelor of the class of 2026 will be helping with the proceedings. All right,
