006say to all of you one this was nothing like High School Musical and two we did it despite the late night cramming sessions the Frantic essay writing hours of working on a science project and the occasional existential crisis over our future we made it through high school and not just made it through but thrived we love laughed together cried together and occasionally commiserated over never ending assignments but through it all we learned sure we learn about history science math English but we also learned many lessons about ourselves we learn about perseverance resilience and the importance of a good support system which we found within one another so look around and take a moment to thank those around you it is easy to lose sight of the people who stood by us through it all our
007parents who cheered us from the sidelines our siblings who helped distract us our friends who became our second family and our teachers who went above and beyond their Call of Duty these are the people who lifted us up when we stumbled believed in us when no one else did who reminded us that we were never alone and those who celebrated our victories so as we stand on this threshold of this new chapter in our lives let us not forget to express our thanks to those who helped us get here so here's to us the class of 2024 as we stand on the brink of the unknown let us take a moment to appreciate how far we've come and how much we've grown let us go forth from this place with confidence knowing that we have

011time time or trying to find places to sit during assemblies all of this had led to us struggling to figure out what's next in store for us in the rear world and in what they call adulting in our classrooms we're encouraged to take baby steps and solve each problem one step at a time however today we take a big step one big step towards the rest of our lives as a Ry of Saxon Cascades towards the future it is important to not forget the baby steps that aided us here from choosing your class scrambling with deadlines going through the pain of running the mile and trying to not give up each day hoping that it'll all lead to this moment as we stand here today I know a feeling of accomplishment surrounds us all knowing
012that the struggles we went through were worth it however as easily as that feeling of accomplishment came it will easily leave in the next hour as we freak out over what we're going to we for grad night so while my hopes and dreams inspired by Lowa High School Musical movies were tarnished the second ironed Laura High School a different hope set in a hope for more a hope to face realities and not be blinded by expectations a hope that you'll try and remember this speech and not forget it as you figure out what face you're going to make as soon as you receive your diploma and finally I hope that the tears heartbreak stress over the future or questions over how Mr Brown gets his head to be so shiny all lead to our common

016you guys you may be seated it is with great honor that I stand here before you today as we Mark the culmination of your high school Journey here at Lera high school before we embark on celebrating your outstanding achievements I would be remissed if we did not take a moment to remember an honored and cherished member of Laura High School who is no longer with us Mr Ed pring affectionately known as coach praying gracer halls for over three decades leaving an indelible mark on both teachers and as a basketball coach with nearly 450 wins six League titles and 30 playoff Seasons his legacy of excellence and dedication resonate throughout our community his recent recognition of the 2024 Lura High School teacher of the year underscores the profound impact he had on generations of students lur
017was truly fortunate for Coach praying's unwavering commitment and [Applause] passion today is our a day of Celebration and I'd like to start off by recognizing a few deserving Saxons for their dedication to the profession first I'd like to recognize our 2024 classified employee of the year Miss Andrea [Applause] Rodriguez Miss Rodriguez is our community school coordinator and her energy is infectious and she has quickly become an important member of the Laura family congratulations to Miss [Applause] Rodriguez today we also bid fond farewell to several esteemed members of our faculty and staff who are retiring after years of dedication to auhsd and low high school first Mr Jess [Applause] Leon Mr Leon was an alumni of the Anaheim Union High School District and is retiring after 32 years of teaching English at Lera Mr Leon also
018taught English from not only taught English for many years but also coached football for 14 years track for 10 years cost crunchy soccer and wrestling he will trly truly be missed second Mr John [Applause] Bryant Coach Bryan has been a proud Saxon for 26 years Mr Bryant taught in our special education department for his entire tenure here at Lera prior to teaching Mr Bryant was an accomplished baseball player as part of the Cal State Fullerton World Series champions and part of the Cincinnati Reds organization thank you for your service next we have Dr Rich Martin Mr Martin has been an integral member of the science department at La high school for 15 years he started his career as an attorney but decided he wanted something more rewarding and impactful he is not afraid to take
019on challenges as he has taught Earth Science Biology physics AP environmental science and Avid during his time at Lera thank [Applause] you Miss Annette ASA Annette was also a product of ahsd as she graduated from catella high school we won't hold that against her Annette became axon in 2001 as an attendance secretary and then in 2004 transferred to be our secretary of record position thank you [Applause] Annette M Miss Paula Martin Paula is also a product of ahsd as she graduated from Magnolia High School Paula became a Saxon in 1999 and is a secretary regar after working at the district court office for many years Paul was nominated classified employee of the year in 2020 and 2021 one and last but not least Miss Tony [Applause] stoud Tony started the district in 2000 and became
