the Cy graduating class of 2024 I'm Aiden Houston and it is my absolute pleasure to be up here today not only reflecting on these past four years but to encourage Us in this next chapter for some of us today's a very very sad day we're leaving everything that we know and we're taking this next step in our life others it may be the day we've been looking forward to our whole life you did it whatever your beliefs may be we are connected since today is the day that we launch into this next era we take this next step in our lives and we finally move on these past four years have been nothing short of abnormal we've lived through a pandemic and everything that have come with it right while it may not feel like
it seniors we've only had truly two real years of high school nevertheless these past years will be remembered wearing these wonderful colors every Friday rushing the football fields after football games filling the stands at basketball games and cheering on anyone who's wearing these wonderful colors orange and blue on the stage field or even court or those late nights studying to get the grade that we wanted or joining that club or going to prom or any other event that ASB puts on there'll be nothing like these four years ever again centurions however let us not dwell on this this is the day to be filled with joy we have now been equipped and made ready for the real world let us not forget the valuable lessons and what we have learned here at Cyprus we have
learned how to better communicate and collaborate think critically and creatively but most importantly to show character in addition we have taken these classes that have granted us the opportunity to walk this stage today so whether you're at the top of your class or barely just getting by I am proud of you and Cyprus is proud of you we celebrate you all [Applause] today now with this all being said the time is now we have been equipped with everything to battle this world we will not be doing the world we'll be doing a world in Injustice by not giving it our all in any path that we may take whether you're going to be the next Tik Tock star Bill Gates Michael Jordan or just a great and caring person we must always remember that the
time is now that we are to serve yes success Fame and money are great but they aren't fulfilling always keep an eye out on how you can help serve this world love one another in this world and place others above yourselves always the time is now that we are to let go and let us not look at this like we are leaving rather we are launching into this next chapter thank you God bless thank you Aiden at this time I would like to introduce our very own Cypress High School choir who will be performing how do we say goodbye for e how do we say goodbye when we never wanted to end why can't we just pretend there'll never be a good for Farewell My friend why must this be the end one day we'll
meet again till then we say goodbye we have a cation just singing for you you insir cons you all know [Music] We Say Goodbye will we never want it to end we just Goodell meet again let goodbye yes we say [Music] [Applause] goodbye thank you choir our next speaker today is Faith Wong hi there are a lot of ways I could introduce myself today I could say my name is Faith long I'm the tallest person here and yes I did do my own Nails thank you very much there are all these things I could say about myself but the only identifier that matters here tonight is that I am a part of Cyprus High School's graduating class of 2024 so to the class class of 2024 we have been on this wild journey together from
a freshman year entirely online to the long nights trying to finish homework and the chaos of trying to make friends we have been through it all in a lot of ways this graduation feels like the end of a long and hectic book but graduation is not the end of our story to borrow a quote from our school's dance teacher Mrs Fenton we work hard today so we can be perfect tomorrow and we have worked extremely hard so let's look forward to tomorrow the time is now to chase our dreams the time is now to take chances the time is now to start the next book of Our Lives I'll admit the future is daunting some of us don't know what we want to major in next year much less we want what we want to
do with the 60 some years of the rest of our lives but as Mr her has told us right now is way too early to give up granted Mr was talking about not giving up and turning in an unfinished essay after only trying to write for about 5 seconds but I think we can use our critical thinking skills from all those dbqs to apply his nugget of wisdom to tonight so let's chase our future with ambition and enthusiasm when faced with opportunities take them you never know when something intimidating can turn into something amazing like Mrs Espinosa's 10hour long homework assignments turning into extra credit don't give up when difficulties are rise if we made it through high school I think we can make it through anything no one says our futures will be easy
but they are ours so as we're sitting here tonight let's thank our loved ones who have encouraged US during these crazy four years let's thank our teachers who have encouraged us and helped us graduate today and most of all let's look ahead with excitement because class of 2024 our time is now thank you [Applause] thank you faith I would now like to introduce our principal Mrs Jennifer Brown ladies and gentlemen distinguished guests faculty family and friends and most importantly the outstanding graduates of the class of 2024 it is both a privilege and a profound honor to address you today on this momentous occas we are here to celebrate not just your academic accomplishments but to usher in your future that is brimming with potential and promise your time is now I stand before you not
