004on this item did we even get the the new schedule it was attached in the board docs item and the only amendment to it was the february third meeting would be shifted to february 10th and the times have now all been listed as um five o'clock start time as opposed to 5 30. so the next meeting if it's approved to this morning will be um february 10th at uh 5 p.m and that was due to um some scheduling conflicts with some of the board members so um do i have a motion to approve i do have a scheduling uh conflict for february 10th on the 10th yes oh okay okay so uh does it need to be later or you can't make it uh if i i just have another appointment that is already scheduled
005for february 10th at 5 30 and it usually takes an hour okay so another option would be [Music] another date or later on it has in order you could amend it later in the evening if that's the desire of the board um the 10th was a discussion for a quorum i believe you'll have at least a quorum on the 10th um but it's the desire of the board to change it and amend it as need be um i wouldn't mind going earlier like one or two because that will free me up to go to my other appointment um but i don't want to miss a board meeting just because um i want to be sure that i attend the board meetings as scheduled but not now that it's been changed i already had it in
006my books for the third and it's been changed to the 10th but now it has a conflict for the 10th for me so i would like to either have that meeting either at one two o'clock or three so that i can get out and then jump into the next meeting um that i'm scheduled for fighter we do need to hold the board meeting at least by the tenth due to some other timelines that we have to meet by the 10th i could do earlier in the day earlier than five at three o'clock i can cancel my three o'clock i'm i'm open but it's uh it's the pleasure of the board at this point so i'll go wherever you want to go the problem with doing it in the early afternoon is the public has a
007hard time getting here because of work commitments and then kids in school at that time as well and there is a lot of interest in the school meeting the board meeting recently so i would if we need b i would rather have it later in the evening than an earlier my personal opinion okay let's look at seven o'clock seven o'clock sure how about uh how about 6 30. can you make 6 30 i should be just jumping out of one and driving out here for it so that's why i'm kind of worried about the window to do the drive out to a board meeting yeah i apologize to the board i i was under the impression that each board member was checked um based on the date and time and that it was a free
008date and time and that's why we offered that date as the proposed date well unfortunately somebody forgot to check with me what about the night it has to be on a thursday right it does not you can amend it to meet any of the timelines as long as um the original board meeting was thursday the 3rd and it was proposed to be moved and to the 10th the following thursday at this end that only adjusts the time on the calendar because we found out at the last board meeting that we would only have three board members on the third and um that puts us at a concern for a quorum always right if we were to move it um either the seventh seventh eighth or ninth would that would that be something that we could
009do and keep it at the regular time of five people the seventh is a district holiday um so schools are closed that day the eighth um one of those days that the union has do you schedule a meeting on a union the board can the the board um is allowed to schools are not allowed to okay so the second the eighth is fine with me i have a conflict that night yeah and the ninth is not good for me and the tenth obviously and the friday is you you can't make the ninth either maria uh the ninth is not good for me i have a meeting that's seven on that day six actually six to seven [Music] we've already noted we were waiting um to notify families so we just have to make a decision
010um from a discussion all right let's just let's go at uh let's let's let's try 6 30 and um if maria if you're a little bit late would that be a problem i mean if we could start at 6 30 because i really hate to go up to seven o'clock because it's pretty late in the night and then um this is still going to put us back an hour and a half if we start at 6 30 but it's up to the board just throwing that out there i can do that i just left if maria did miss she just missed the opening step she wouldn't miss a closed session or anything and you wouldn't miss the comments after closed session but if i came if i got here 15 minutes after 6 30 you're
011already in closed session can you join i think seven o'clock is just too late to start the meeting it's it's it's um but the same way that we're having this meeting at 11 o'clock uh we can have it anytime during the day um the board meeting is actually a meeting where the public is invited to see what the board is doing uh we're not holding a meeting so that the public will guide how we do the meeting and so as a matter of fact if we want to hold the meeting earlier we can hold the meeting earlier it's already on live stream and the public could view it that way um we could do that this one time yeah do it early i think the public understand and we don't have don't really have another
012option we can't we can't delay it anymore we got commitments on this thing okay how about how about um 3 p.m will that work for the rest of the party 3pm 3pm okay so i move that we change the february board meeting to 3 p.m on february 10. so so close session will start at 3 p.m and then the regular meeting will open at uh 4 p.m so you have to amend the calendar so that's the what you'll have to ask for is an amendment to the calendar shifting the board meeting start time to 3 pm which gives the public the opportunity to make comments regarding any closed session item prior to closed session then we would go into closed session and not come out any earlier right now we have we give ourselves an
013hour so we would not come out any earlier than 4 p.m for the public um portion of the the agenda after closed session okay that works that good yes so i move that we amend the uh calendar for our february board meeting to february 10th at 3 p.m roger and and remain the re the remainder of the meetings to um begin at 5 p.m as adjusted yes and the same schedule same schedule okay so we're only amending let me get that understanding so the remainder of the meeting starts at five yes i still have a meeting at 5 30. so that now the remainder of the meetings on the calendar you are adopting an entire calendar that was sent through board docs so that everybody has because we have to repost the entire calendar because
