011Z thank you moving on to we are actually we have a visitor today we have with us uh the Senator Senator Susan Rubio and she's on here with us and I would like to invite her to share a couple words hi I hope everyone can hear me and see me yes okay good uh well first of all thank you so much for allowing me to say a few words here today I want to start by saying hello to an old friend uh your superent Mr um arur Orga he was actually if I remember correctly I know we were together approximately 20 years ago in my very first teaching assignment back in Pleasant View Elementary uh he took over uh my principle I believe at the time so good to see you again U and thank
012you for continuing to work with with our students and our shared constituents I really appreciate that but I want to also recognize um I'm going to start with the newly elected uh board member uh Mrs Bo first of all I you know thank you so much for wanting to serve I think sometimes people don't recognize how much of a personal sacrifice it is to to work late hours and ATT 10 weekend events and you know so I want to commend all the uh the board members currently fting um as board members for all the work you do I think we all know that our our job never stops it's seven days a week and pretty much 24 hours a day you can have a call from a parent or a teacher at any given time
013so thank you everyone that sits currently on the board and those newly elected uh but miss Bo I see you have 22 years of teaching experience and uh education runs in my blood I've also been a teacher leadership and wanting to be at the table to make decisions for our teachers for our students and our educational programs so congratulations I'm here to be uh your partner and Advocate alongside with you and make sure that you have the resources that you need I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person to celebrate you uh I did send a certificate of recognition which I will read it states on behalf of the California state senate it is my honor to congratulate you on your election to the asusa Unified School Board and I applaud your dedication and commitment
014to serving our students and community and I look forward to your success and what you bring to the table and once again congratulations on this new um such a responsible position that I'm sure that you're going to do great and you'll be announed to theza community so thank you I also want to honor and recognize um the reelected board member Yolanda Rodriguez fena I know this is your third term so if I'm not mistaken uh you've done approximately nine years and again it's a personal sacrifice that I think you should be commended for I know that I've seen you be very involved not only as a Schoolboard member but you participate in so many programs across your community um I've seen you at the parades and other women's club events and and so it's commendable
