001obligation freely and I will faithfully discharge [Applause] well first of all I just want to say thank you to everybody for for being here it's an incredible honor and I'm excited I want to specifically thank just a handful of people specifically Gayle mark alien who is here the Vietnamese death our bond over in tez Danae quorum I believe that may be it that's here in the audience at the moment but but these are names of some of my educators when I attended school here in the city of Azusa and so I want to say that you all thank you for believing in me and for not giving up on me even though I was most definitely a knucklehead at times and it's it's been an honor and truly my blessing to walk alongside other knuckleheads
002in our community and I'm just blessed and I'm excited I'm gonna jump in and so thank you to everybody thank you for your trust I'm grateful to my family that's here my family is not here a friends in just the entire community thank you so much I I would personally like to thank every single person in this room are just showing up today for the celebration of us being morning I would like to thank my my campaign manager who just would not let me down he was working hard and I would like to thank my family my husband my kids and my mother my brother and my my sisters they all came together and they built a safety net and through the whole ever since I was a little Ivan too but ever since I
003was little I went to Gladstone Street school I went to center and it was a Gladstone high school and Lydia East End is here in the audience she was my my counselor at Gladstone High School and it's an honor for her it's an honor for me for her to be here today it's an honor for me to serve and to stand to stand here to continue to serve our community on this side now so I am grateful I am humbled I am honored for your trust and her for all of that you guys have done thank you family [Applause] and I'll be brief because I know we have some food waiting for cinnamon on the other side but I just want to say I think it's claps so I just want to say I really
004just to see who came out to see to support our new board members is this a testament of the fact that this is a community and and and a family um and the pond is part of it the proudest part of being a family is to see those who you've nurtured and tro succeed so to be able to sit here and see both Adrienne and Gabi here products of our community who lived here grew up here and are now sitting on this board it's just for me and you for those of you come to board meetings know that I cry a lot so but it's just it's so it's so hard touching and so important for so many of us because it wouldn't it's a testament to all the work that the staff and the
005community have put in and so and I'm looking so much forward to the energy and the excitement and the ideas that both of you bring so with that let's break for the reception and have some [Applause]
