And that's all our So, that's employee announcements. But I had a question on the seismic uh restraint bit. When are they going to start work? Is it going to be over summer kind of like they did the HVAC or >> Yes, we do have to open up the roof on the high school for that project. So, that's the plan over summer break. >> That's why we had we wanted to start we really wanted to start. We just can't. >> And that's one of the last like a numbers we have, right? >> Yes. >> Besides the ball. That's that's like a legacy one to us. >> It's just a legacy. It really is. What would we do when we don't have it? >> All right. Uh Manny, superintendent comments. >> Yeah. Just a couple things. Just
wanted to acknowledge the soccer team more than anything else. The girls soccer team that went to the semi semi-finals for CIF. Pretty impressive. They did a great job when they won. What was it on Thursday? No, it was on Friday. Thursday that they played. They did a great job and they they continued on and they played Webb. I believe it was Web. They played right Web. It was Web. They played on Saturday. They lost two to one, but they did a fantastic job. Uh we're really proud of especially considering this is Miss Grizz last year to be able to go out, but they had that kind of winning season. It's a pretty It's one of those unique teams every once in a while you have these where it's a unique special group of girls and
I think they're going to see continued success. >> Where did they play? >> They did not. They had to play down the hill. >> Yeah. They played in Silver Valley. Silver Valley that was um Coach Grip thought we thought that we have a good relationship with Silver Valley. It's a really nice field to play on. So that's where coach G decided she wanted to play. It was really unfortunate cuz it was technically a home game. Could have been our home game. >> But I walked the field on Friday, our field, just to see if it was possible at all for us to be able to play. >> And that was just no way. the way the snow hit and some of the drifts that were hitting there. We couldn't even get into the gate, let
alone the field itself would have taken a hundred people with troubles at least. And that's if it would have melted >> um because we couldn't there's obviously someone could do. So, it was a bummer, but we knew that for soccer season that it was going to be a little bit that was a bummer for them to make that far and not be able to play on our new field. But Silver Rally, big shout out to them for being accommodating for us. And >> didn't you say they played a game at the Galaxy Stadium? They they played game at G was called Galaxy Field. It's their complex down there. Um it's it's still an outdoor complex. Really nice complex. So they have a few fields down there. So I went down there for that game. Uh
Mr. Williams was able and then Dr. Folks was able to make it down for the Saturday game as well. So it was nice to have that presence and that kind of support. It was great. Also wanted to mention real quick that also we had this weekend the girls two girls wrestlers went on to the finals for CIF. Um, they did not get any further, but very proud of them. One of them's a freshman that made it that far. Really impressive young lady, Cali Sanchez. Just want to acknowledge them as well. And Eddie, who's Eddie, our newer wrestling coach, who's done a great job with them as well. Just wanted to acknowledge those couple things. And the snow, sorry, all I can do is apologize. We were trying to get kids back in school. >> I
know. For seniors, it was great. Um, and it's something we everyone was waiting for, but you know, we really genuinely tried on that. We wanted them back in school. Um, but just we could not do it with the roads. I got a couple cowboys on the my decision-m team that usually are like, "Yeah, let's just get them in school, man. We can do it. We're ready." And even with the other one can't do it. I drove the roads about midnight that Thursday night just to see and try to get up and it was just some of the bus turn. He's not going to make it. >> I took my daughter on a walk yesterday and he got he fell into a snow drift and I wouldn't have found him start barking. I mean, it was
just like I'm looking all over and all of a sudden I don't see Alfie and then I hear this over. >> Yeah. Note to self, do not walk. >> Um, last thing just as a note just because I had a meeting with them this morning with our Stephanie Tukurt and uh Mr. Stikman who are arts teachers, our music teacher and our theater teacher at the high school. They're really trying to grow this program. They're doing a fantastic job with it. The guitar classes that's new. Uh they want to be able to hopefully get going on the pep band for next year. Um Stephanie's really she's she's a voice and she's always going to be heard as far as trying to push for the arts and I have a great appreciation for that. Um she keeps
growing that program more and more. The after school program is a pretty big program who they have involved in the next play is they have at least I want to say they have at least 45 kids involved. So it's a lot of kids are involved and she's big on not just the kids acting but the kids doing the support building sets, all those pieces. So, she gets them involved. So, shout out to them just because I had that meeting and they we don't realize how quickly that program actually is growing. We're going to need to make some adjustments down the road for them cuz they're doing a great job. That's it. >> Great. >> Thanks for the snow. It was awesome. I saw a lot of kids up at the resort. >> That's good. Yeah.
>> And then even around town like going to a restaurant, kids working in the family restaurant. And I would ask them, >> "What do you think?" And like this is awesome. I'd rather work here than be in school. >> It's just nice to get a break even though it wasn't that long ago that they had winter break. >> It's unique to us in the snow. It is It is special. I get it. It's It happens and we get to enjoy it the moment. And if anyone's interested, uh, University of Redlands this Saturday, 6 PM. It's the county honors orchestra. So, kids from all over the county. >> Uh, they had to audition and we've got at least I think dozen kids in the orchestra down there. Um, the Ku Wangs, the Chums, Jane, um, uh,
Jesse Coer, Orion, there's several kids in it. Um, and it goes, there's elementary, um, middle and high school. >> Where's that? >> It's at University of Redlands, 6 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel. Um, and, uh, I know at least the high school level, they're playing fairly difficult stuff, so It's cool to get kids from all over the county, the largest county in the nation to get together. And you know, I just drove yesterday from Arizona and you know, you cross the state line and it's welcome to San Marino County and that's 200 miles from here, >> right? >> So, anyway, uh if anyone's interested, it'll be great. It's put on by the Sano County Superintendent. Thank you. >> All right. Um item 11, curriculum instruction report, second reading and adoption of the single uh plans
for student achievement for all school sites. Can you get a motion to approve? >> So moved. >> Second. >> All in favor? >> I. >> Uh item 12, the audited actual financial report. Make a motion to approve. >> Moved. Second. >> All in >> favor. Does anyone have any questions of Jessica? Put her in the hot seat. >> Let me know. I can speak. >> Okay. >> Sounds good. >> And that's it. Unless you guys have suggestions for future. Hey manian, I wasn't here when you entered.
