We reconvene the regular board meeting of January 22nd, 2026 at 7:33 p.m. Uh
for a flag salute, Mr. Royce Maze, will you lead us in the flag salute? Thank you, Royce. Uh, Mr. Falsgraph, will you read the civility statement, please? >> Clearly and concisely with respect for the time of others. Listen objectively, carefully considering the opinions of others. Understand the counterproductive effects of disruptive, demeaning, and intimidating behaviors. Understand and respect district policies and procedures. And maintain a respect for the rich history of the district and efforts of others who have served in the past. >> Thank you. 5A, report of action taken in close session. Uh we did have a busy close session and we um had three different items. So I'll read those now. Settlement one, the board accepts the staff's recommendation to approve the compromise and release settlement agreement number 2025120415 with authorization for staff to execute
the agreement. Settlement number two. The board accepts the staff's recommendation to approve the compromise and release settlement agreement number 2025 0810 05 with authorization for staff to execute the agreement. Expulsion action. The board agrees to accept the staff's recommendation to reinstate student number 4002234 at AADUSD. Um, do I need to read out also the vote the way that we voted? >> So, it will be for those. >> Okay. So, for the um settlement number one and settlement number two, the vote was unanimous. Uh, for the expulsion action, the vote was three yes, one no, one absent. 6A public comments recognition and reports. >> Miss Saxony, we have one public comment card pulled. I'm not sure if we have any online. Thank you, sir. >> Did he say no online? Okay. Uh, this comment card is
from Jessica. I don't want to butcher your last GA. Jessica Ga. um you can go ahead and stand up to the microphone and then um state your name in the microphone before you start speaking. And we do allow three minutes per speaker. >> Good evening. My name is uh Jessica Ga. Um my son Ethan is currently a senior and a proud member of the Vasquez High School football time football team. Um I'd like to share a very brief background of what brought us to this point. Um Ethan did attend middle school here in Actton, but because of our other children established in Santa Clarita, he spent his freshman year at Hart High School playing football there. During that time, I became aware of the challenges Vasquez was facing with its football coaching staff. And I
was grateful that Ethan's experience at Hart was very positive. Yet, something was missing for him. He missed his friends. He missed being part of the community. He asked me repeatedly to return to Vasquez. And when I heard that the school was seeking a new football coach, I took a leap of faith and transferred him back to Vasquez. Once the football season began and we met the coaches, it was clear that the year was going to be a good one. Ethan did have to sit out the first five games due to the transfer rules which nearly crushed him. What we encountered with the Vas Vasquez coaching staff went beyond football. These coaches taught our children to believe in themselves even when facing difficult challenges. They emphasize teamwork, camaraderie, and being supportive of one another. The coaches
also encouraged community involvement, organizing cleanups, and showing the players that being part of a team also means being a positive contributor to the community. As parents and players, we now find ourselves facing uncertainty about the future of the football program. For families like mine and seniors like Ethan, this is the last year they will play high school football. After working together to rebuild a struggling program and achieving two consecutive winning seasons, it is difficult to understand how we arrived at this crossroads. While I could speak from emotion, I want to focus on the facts. We know that coach Perez has decided not to apply for the head coach position. We are also aware that two of our current coaches, coach Gary and Coach Walker, have applied and interviewed for the position along with three external
candidates. Neither of our existing coaches were selected and the position was reopened. We do not understand why our dedicated coaches were not chosen. These individuals have made significant positive impacts on our kids. They know the strengths of each players and understand how to help them succeed. They have earned the trust of both players and parents, which is no small feat. I respectfully asked the board, why are we not why are we now without a head coach? Why would a school pass up on two coaches who have given their blood, sweat, and maybe even tears to build a program that they are so passionate about that all of the coaches are willing to come and return under either one of those coaches in the absence of coach Perez, starting over with a coach that is not
a part of this program would basically toss away the last two years and start this program over. So, I urge you to help us as parents and players understand that this decision is very impactful and really determines the future of our future program. Thank you for your consideration. >> Thank you for your time. Any other public participation or public comments? Sorry, >> not at this time. >> Okay, moving on. 7 ADA representative not online. uh B CSSEA representative, C student representative to the board. So, happy new year and everyone's appears to have been really busy starting with metallark. It's okay. TK is getting ready for their character awards ceremony next Wednesday. Then, preK through 4th will be celebrating a student of the month for each grade. These students will be selected using the schoolwide MTSS
attributes of being respectful, responsible, and safe. Each student will receive a certificate and a paragraph explaining why they were selected and lunch with the principal on stage at the end of the month. Then, third and fourth grades are beginning to work on practice assessments for CAPS CASP testing later this year. So fun. Then the also third and fourth grade will be doing lunch activities with Mr. Luick starting next week. The first activity is dodgeball and a tournament will be held to crown the championship team. I love dodgeball. High desert. So Mrs. Alejandra Vasquez is an excellent member of our high desert food services team. She is very positive and works hard to keep our students fed and happy. Mrs. Denise Seymour. She's a big supporter of students in short-term independent study. Her diligence helps the
students and our office team immensely. Mr. Seth Wyant, he supports our virtual speech teacher and our students as an instructable instructional aid. He goes above and beyond to help wherever it is needed. Past events. Congrats to Ailen Cabera for getting first at the VFW and third poss and third in the VF VFW sorry district in the Patriots pen essay contest. This is a contest that encourages young people to explore American history in their own experiences and express them through writing. This year's essay topic is how are you showing patriotism and support for our country? Then High Desert's teacher and staff have been working hard on making sure all students are attending class. The AVID advisory classes are working towards class prizes for having 15 days of perfect attendance. And so far we have five classes
that have met this goal last semester and 33 students with perfect in-person attendance for the entire semester. I don't even have that. And in partnership with our food and services food services, 68 students earned pizza with the principal for second quarter perfect attendance. The afterchool tutoring program has expanded to four days a week for an hour to support students academics. Thank you to Mrs. Cup and Mrs. Ra for their Miss Ra for their support in making tutoring possible. Upcoming events. High desert recognizes students for attendance, athletic participation, I read math and English, reading growth, and academic success in the first semester. Fifth and sixth grade awards were this morning, and seventh and eighth grade awards are tomorrow morning. So, congrats to all the students and teachers who have survived first semester. We're excited for High
Desert's annual dodgeball tournament, which will be held tomorrow at 6 pm. This is the most popular, most competitive event of the year. We're looking forward to a great turnout and hopefully maybe the board the board will join in and maybe join a game. The next is the mental health parent workshop, which is Monday, January 26th at 8:30 a.m. The topic is emotional intelligence. Then January 28th, the eighth graders are super excited to attend the Vasquez road show and seeing what Vasquez has to offer. Next Friday, January 30th at 8:30, their amazing counseling team will be hosting a workshop on raising resilient kids. Topics included will be navigating phone use, friends, and choices that middle schoolers make. We're very grateful for our team and provide pro providing great opportunities to support our middle school families. After
that, on February 5th at 6:00 p.m. will be the district spelling be. Both Metallark and High Desert had class spelling bees in the top four of each class will attend. Then whoever wins the district spelling be gets to go and compete at the LA County spelling be March 18th. So good luck to the students. Athletics. Both varsity soccer teams have had tryyous last week started practicing this week. Games will start midFebruary. JV girls soccer and JV boys basketball are in the middle of their season and they're doing well. Championships will be at the end of February. Now, Vasquez, the week of December 15th, students completed much anticip anticipated final exams. Many finals were projects that reflected our creativity, our problem solving, and engineering skills. On December 14th, our visual and performing arts students attended a
performance at the Canyon Theater Guild. Then on January 20th, students had the opportunity to tour College of the Canyons to support their postsecondary planning. January 28th, we're very excited to host the eighth grade road show. We've been working really hard on planning and we hope to welcome the future Mustangs. Also, January 28th at 6 PM, we'll be hosting a parrot night for the incoming ninth graders. January 30th, the visual performing arts group will be taking a field trip to the Lancaster Performing Arts Center to deepen their exposure performing arts athletics. Both soccer teams are halfway through their season and it's looking like both teams are going to make it to playoffs. So, congrats to them. And the girls varsity basketball season is almost over. It's only a few games left. It's been a very big
rebuilding year for our girls team and because the team is very young, so the next few seasons should be very promising. Boys varsity basketball has been having a great season and it looks like they're already ready and qualified for CIF playoffs and they're going to play for league championship on January 31st. So that looks so fun. They win. This will be the first time in Vasquez history that a team has won backtoback league championships. New canopies were installed in our quad providing additional shade for students. like thank you. >> Thank you um for such a detailed report. Much appreciated. Uh superintendent report. >> Thank you. Great job, Autumn. It's not easy putting those reports together and you're very articulate. Tonight, I'll focus on on on only one goal. Goal one, student achievement. As part of
a strate strategic plan update goal one, student achievement, we will be informing our community at large of our 2025 dashboard data. Research indicates that progressive change typically takes three to four years. And tonight, I'm proud to share that the 2025 California school dashboard shows positive progress across our district. We saw improvements in student behavior, English learner progress, college and career readiness, and English language arts. We are looking towards continu continuing this momentum as we have additional room for growth. Our math results maintained, and we're already strengthening our targeted math support. Chronic absenteeism has also held steady and we're confident it will improve with new efforts like our soon-to-lunch Saturday school program and a shortened independent study option for our families. These gains are thanks to the hard work of our students, staff, and families along
with stronger instructional practices, expanded literacy efforts, and continued social emotional supports and mental health supports. We'll be sharing more details tonight as Dr. Chamberlain will provide a deeper dive at the data during her presentation. Thank you. >> Thank you. Um, facilities finance subcommittee report. >> Uh, facilities and finance met this past uh, Tuesday at 4 p.m. We went over the new housing development and that they we have not been able to get in contact with them. Um, so regarding fees and things that we're looking at, um, we also looked at bus lease options compared to buying options. Um, there's some more data that they'll be coming back to us with and once we get that, we'll bring it to the board uh, for a possible vote. Um, and then the facilities projects updates. Um, there's
a lot of things that got done over the break, the canopies, some painting. um the things that weren't able to get done with the roofs at High Desert because of the rain, they weren't able to get there. So, they will be soon as soon as school's over. But yeah, um and that's pretty much where we're at. >> Thank you. Uh education subcommittee report. Um George and I met with staff today. George, would you like to do an update? >> Thank you. >> So, we went up Is this on? We went over the dashboard and uh some of the numbers, some of the percentages and like Dr. Sahakian said, we did improve a bit. Um what I asked if you look at the dashboard, you see these these percentages, you might want to compare it to
other districts in the area because when I was looking at it, I'm not in K12 education, these numbers meant nothing to me. Like if you're if you're saying we're at 27% or 30% in in reading, that's good. It means nothing if I don't know what you're talking about, right? I would have to compare it to other districts and how do we compare to the surrounding school districts. So, I would just encourage people who are looking at these numbers to kind of gauge the areas that we can get some perspective. That's it. >> Um, yeah, I'll add to that that it was really nice to to go through um the presentation that Paula or Dr. Chamberlain is going to give us today. um to go through that in kind of a small intimate setting. And she
was gracious and I said, "Hey, can we can we interrupt you and ask questions?" And we did. And um all of our questions were answered and we just had kind of a robust discussion of what she's going to present today. Um and then we went through some of the areas that we do want to dive deeper and we put those on future agenda items. So, um, our next subcommittee report I believe is February 22nd at 4 o'clock. February 12th. February 12th at 4 o'clock. Um, if you want to jump in, we are going to be diving deeper um into some of the areas of the the dashboard. Um, moving on, G policy and management subcommittee report. >> So, we haven't had a uh meeting yet. Our next meeting is scheduled for February 12th as well.
>> Fantastic. H submissions. >> Uh no submissions this evening. Our next sub submission will be from Method Charter on February 12th. >> Thank you. >> The president. >> Yes. >> I think we have guests in the room um that it may have traveled from far away. Is it possible that we move item 11A up to now and then pick up the agenda once that is concluded? I move that. >> Okay. Um I have a motion and a second discussion. All in favor to move 11A to >> false draft abstain. Desus >> Mesa >> Brianna Tony I. So we are moving on um to 11A. >> Before we start I'll be um exiting the meeting on this item and coming back once discussion is completed. I will have um comments at the appropriate time at the
end of the meeting. Thank you. >> I would like to move 11A in. Can I get a second? Um, okay. Sorry, one moment. If there's anybody that doesn't want to stick around for this, then you are more than welcome to get up at any time. You will not be interrupting. You are more than welcome. If you guys don't want to hang around for this part, >> we won't feel bad. I We do really really appreciate seeing students in our audience. Thank you guys very much for coming. >> Thank you. >> We very much appreciate you. You're welcome to stay if you'd like. It's going to be riveting. >> Thank you guys. >> We have we have one proud student in the audience. >> Okay. I'm so sorry. So, we've moved it in. We've seconded. I'm
turning over to Dr. Sahakian. >> Sure. Um couple of couple of comments. Um based on based on the conflicts or concerns um that were outlined in the CD letter dated November 20th. Um like to make a comment. Our district um doesn't necessarily have the purview or oversight to validate these concerns um as outlined. I want to put that one out there. We do have Miss Sherry um Shannon. Uh welcome. Welcome back. She works in in tandem with uh Miss Shay Patterson, our director of charter services. When a reauthorization application packet comes in, they go through it thoroughly and um they review and they go through the matrix and they provide the recommendation on behalf of staff. >> Sure. Thank you, Miss Jenna. >> All right. I am here on behalf of Miche Patterson and happy
to be here uh in California. I'm from Kansas City and my phone just gave me an alert that the governor has now declared a state of emergency because we're supposed to get 12 inches of snow, negative 20 below plus windchill. So, you know, it's very serendipitous that I ended up in California. My family's like, "You're aware during this?" So happy to be here. I've worked with um the school district here for quite a while. Actually, Yolanda and I were just talking about that. I think I started probably at least 10 years ago doing a lot of work in consulting and working with charter schools. And now I work um just nationally with charter schools. And this is one of the my favorite things to do is to work closely with actuad school district in reviewing
charters for both new charters which we haven't had for quite a while and then the charter renewal and based on uh the staff's extensive review of mission academy both financially legally academic operationally it is the staff's recommendation that we approve the renewal petition for a fiveyear term. Uh that's it. Thank you. >> Okay. Discussion from the board. I don't have um I don't have anything. I do really appreciate hearing from um outside people that are experts in the area because you know, Lord knows I'm not an expert in this area. I was actually really looking forward to hearing um what Ken had to say, any comments that Ken because I feel like as far as our board goes, he is um really really wellversed in charter schools. Um those are my comments. Is there anything
else or can we vote now? Okay. Hearing no more discussion. Um call for question. All those in favor >> I meas. >> Brianna Tony I with two absent. Uh does anybody know where Ken went? So we can tell him that we're done. I'm going to go ahead and move on to we're going to move back in the agenda to 8 consent agenda. Um can approve I'm flustered. Approval of consent calendar items 8B through 8G. I'm going to move that in. Can I get a second? >> I'll second. >> What was that? Yeah. >> So, M Miss Van Orum is trying to get Mr. Falsegraph back in. >> We have three board members. So >> uh any any changes or discussion? >> Um >> there there there there are no changes, but if there's any questions
for any of the contracts in particular, um I'm happy to go ahead and address them. Thank you. Any discussion? Call for question. All those in favor? >> Call I. >> The item is >> We are on 8A consent agenda. >> Can I pull number um or letter? I I want to know about the signing books. Can we do that? >> The purchase signing naturally the subject G. >> Yes. >> Okay. We'll go ahead and pull subject G. Um so now we have moved in. I moved George second for item B through F. Um if there is no more discussion, we will vote on item B through F. >> I fall I sus. >> MA. Brianna Taxony I. Okay. Uh, I'll go ahead and move in item G. Can I get a second? >> I'll second.
>> All right. Discussion on item G. >> Can somebody tell me what this is? What who it affects? How many affects? Is this part of a settlement for a sad case? What's prompting us along? >> No, no, no worries at all. So we we are excited for High Desert in introducing a new elective to their students um of American Sign Language teacher Miss Mallalerie Partis. Um she's the teacher who stepped up to the plate. So thank you uh Miss Mallalerie. Um this will be for a contract for um 30 textbooks not to exceed $3500 for the new ASL elective at High Desert. So, thank you, Miss Van Dorno, for that creativity and for your staff for stepping up to the plate. Um, we look forward to this elective. Thank you. >> Perfect. For someone who
has a child who is deceased, who never said daddy in her life, this is very important. You have no idea. Thank you. >> Uh, so I have daughters that have taken ASL at the college level. Um, my daughter is studying to be a sign language interpreter and she they use these exact textbooks. So to have this program and that textbook at the junior high level is crazy. That's awesome. It's really exciting. Um, when uh when Dr. Sahin and I were going through the agenda prior to this meeting, um, we had discussed how great this would be at the high school level. So, at some point moving this into the high school level where they're getting high school credits for that, that would be fantastic. Um, so it I love that it's coming to our district
at all. That's great. And then just moving that up one step to high school. Fantastic. Cool things for our students. Uh, so we'll go ahead and vote if there's no more discussion. All those in favor for item G. >> Claus. I >> de May. >> Brianna Tony. I 9A personnel report 25-26.08. I'll go ahead and move that in. Can I get a second? >> I'll second. >> Dr. Sah. >> Uh, no changes to the PAR for this evening. Thank you, Miss Tony. >> Thank you. Discussion hearing none. Call for question. All those in favor? >> I may. >> Brianna Tony I. Uh, 10 a Leo 202526. notice of first quarter results of site visits, reviews, and uniform complaint data. Dr. Zahakian. >> Yes, thank you. So, this report contains results of um all reviews at
all of our school sites from July through end of September of of 2025. We have zero findings for instructional materials or inefficiency of instructional materials facilities as well as teacher vacancies or mis assignments. >> Thank you. Any discussion? >> Yeah. Is this the same report as the one I was reading where they had some the facilities um inspection? Is this the same one or is this something different? >> Um it's actually separate Dr. De Jesus. So we'll get to the facilities um agenda item and there were some findings there that I'll elaborate on. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Okay, hearing no more discussion, we will move on to 10B California dashboard presentation 2025. >> All right. Um, as I stated earlier in my in my report, we're excited to present the 2425 state assessment
data overview celebrating our progress and work to be um had moving forward. And with that, I'll call Dr. Chamberlain, our director of ed services. Thank you. Thank you. Good evening, board. Uh, thank you for the opportunity to share California dashboard um data with you and with the community. Um, I will begin with our Can you guys hear me? Is it okay? Okay. So, we're going to begin with our completion rates. Um, for our CAS BLA, we had a 97% completion rate as well with our math. Our CASS, which is our California science test, we had a 98% um participation rate and our EL pack summitive, we had 99%. Our overall um achievement for actuadulce in ELA is that we currently have 347% of our students meeting or exceeding the standards. In English language arts um
with this chart that's about a 2% um increase over last year. In mathematics we remained about the same with 19% of our students meeting or exceeding um standards. As a comparison, just to give you a little bit of an idea, I pulled some data from some surrounding districts, but without naming names because I don't want to, you know, call another district out, but some local districts, um, as a comparison, their ELA was 21%, which we came in at 34%. And the math is 16%, we were at 19. So, in the same general um ballpark as far as numbers, another local district near here for their English language arts were at 33.5% and for their math, they're at 10.2%. I I will say overall um if you are comparing districts around the state, math is the
area where districts tend to struggle the most. Um and it it just is an area of growth for for our students. Um, moving on. This is actually what data that you can pull right from the California dashboard. This looks at our English language arts by student groups. And um, it's showing us that we had for English learners, we had an increase of 5.8 points. For our long-term English learners, we also increased at 8.5 points. For our so socioeconomically disadvantaged students, we maintained at 2.9 points and our students with disabilities increased significantly with 17.9 points. Our white students maintained at zero a negative.1 which is a maintain is barely any difference. And our Hispanic students um had an increase of 8.8. Some of these I'm going to move through on here so I can follow along.
Next, we're going to look at our math by student group. And for our math students, our English learners um are in the red. This is an area of growth for us. We declined at 6.8 points. For our Hispanic students, we did maintain as well as for our long-term English learners. Our socioeconomically disadvantaged students are uh also maintained. Our students with disabilities did increase at 15.1 points and our um our white student group also maintained. Next, we're going to look at our chronic absenteeism. This is an area where we've really improved and we and so when you have a a decline, that's what you want. You want to go up with your academics with your chronic absenteeism. you want to decline which means you have more students coming to school. So our data is going to
follow our attendance. With our attendance improving we should expect to see improved academics in future years. Last year we um had a decline at 15.1% and this year we continued decline continue to decline at another 8.9%. So currently we only have we only have 27% of our students chronically absent. We will continue to work at having that number come down. Uh this is the graph that kind of tells you overear starting in 2021 going through 2425. Um it shows our schools where they were and where they are now. So now you can see they've kind of changed through the years. Um now they're they're they're kind of they're a lot closer together. A couple other charts. Let's see that I had pulled um we have Educ Climber new this year so we're still getting used
to that platform but it's a platform that gathers all of our data on our students. Um the data is a little different than the dashboard data because it's the data that we're collecting here with ARIES and things do change. Um so you can see the darker blue is from last year. The first in the it's very small but the first um bars are high desert school. So they have decreased. You can see the blue has come down. The middle one is actually metallark. They actually had the biggest decrease. Again, they also had the highest absenteeism rate. So it's really great to see that they've come down close to they're just a little bit um higher, but they're closer to uh high desert, which is great. And Vasquez now has come down a bit, but Vasquez
is an area where we really want to focus. And I I will say that our our our site leaders and our in leadership teams at our sites really work on this a lot and they tend to be a bit competitive. So it'll be interesting to see how we work together, you know, with all three schools to bring those numbers farther down and have more kids kids attending our schools um daily. And so this is the Oh, let me go one more here. This is showing you the chronic absenteeism rate by month, which you can see that the lighter blue is a decrease for every single month th this last year compared to the year before. I think the thing that's really interesting is there's some consistency around that. So, we don't have any huge months
where it's going, you know, it's it's gone up a little in the middle. The way we really use this data though is that we look at in the past where we've had higher incidences of absences and we really try to make sure we're reaching out to parents and we're putting things out in our weekly newsletters to support families and often making calls home to find out if there's things we can do to support. The next section for us is um our English learner progress in this area for all students. We are in the blue which is the highest level. We have 65% of our students making progress. Um, and we had that's an increase of 25.2% of our students. Our long-term English learners are in the green. We have 60% of our students making progress
and that's an increase of 5.1%. Um, continuing with our English language progress, um, we have Wait a second. Did I Did I put that in there twice? Let me go back one. No, I just read it twice. We'll go forward to our suspend. I think I hit the button the wrong way. We'll um go forward to our suspensions rate. This is another area that we want to see a decline. We are in the green um with a decline of 2.2%. And further on our suspension rates, the the only group we have for um reporting in the orange is our homeless group. So that'll be an area of of work for us where we're reaching out to families and looking at the suspension data to find out what are the reasons kids are being suspended and
see if there are things that we can do by reaching out to families and supporting families and the students so that we can find ways to keep them in school and behaving. Um and there you go. Now you can hear me better. Uh, but overall the good news is we are green for all of our other student groups. Our English learners, our Hispanic students, our long-term English learners, our socioeconomically disadvantaged students, students with disabilities, and our white students. And for our graduation rate, so we have two um slides here. on the on the left what you're seeing is what was reported to the dashboard which is showing at 93.7. Um we our local data shows we actually have a 100% graduation rate. We had a late graduate and we didn't we had a we just
had a miscommunication with our cowpads data but that we did have a 100% graduation rate for I believe the fourth year in a row is what we were discussing. >> Yeah, it's we're pretty excited about that. We are grateful for our kids and our counselors and our leadership team at Vasquez High School for really um working with our kids to make sure that they get all of the classes that they need. Our credit recovery um which is through our cells program is also another big has a big impact on making sure that if students get behind that we can provide academics to catch them up. And our the college and career readiness is a new indicator. We are in the green in this area. Um we are we have we have 45 uh% of our
students prepared through the college and career readiness indicator. That's an 8% increase. And this shows you the bar charts over from 2019. You see a gap because of COVID. There wasn't data presented. 2023, 2024, and 2025. And you can see in the purple those are students that are prepared. Uh the blue is students approaching preparedness. So we have pretty much flipped that chart since the beginning. We have a almost 75% of our students prepared or approaching prepared which is which is really great. And just I think I went the wrong way again. Thank you for the clicker. I need to learn how to use it. Um that and a question I wanted to make sure that I addressed is um because the college and career indicator is a new metric for us. I wanted to
just share with you a little bit about what metrics students have to meet to become college and career prepared. Uh one is to have a level three on the smarter balance summit of assessment. So, as we continue to do better um year after year, that also will have a positive impact on our college and career indicator. Um advanced placement courses, college credit courses or CTE courses, the state seal of biiteracy, um students meeting University of California and California State University requirements. Um that's the A throughG requirements as well as CTE courses, they can meet these um metrics through either one of those. And then the approaching, they meet three of those categories. And and thank you so much for for your audience participation and listening. And board, do you have any questions? >> Um to
comments a little bit earlier, these color charts are ridiculous. They don't really say anything about anything. So for example school district >> more than us >> a lot more >> point where you're just like drowning in it >> right the curriculum director has curriculum for every bee between my lines just because I charter doesn't mean anything I drove my car during my charter questions. I ask questions about cohorts and what they mean when you're serving people who do credit recovery, people who are fostering, all of that. So I I find it sad that we have to like Morgan Freeman said this. You know who he is? >> He said that Black History 11 months plus the one that we call black history month. So it's really convenient. We have to pick groups of people and
isolate them and compare them by how they look or what where their grandpa comes from is just ridiculous. So no insult to you. I understand somebody up at the state level thinks that they control my life >> wants this stuff and somehow it means something we can spend the taxpayers money analyzing this instead of giving money to kids education but what I'm interested in is the numbers that say the kids that come to our school in the cohorts are improving and the reason is because of the way to get kids into school even if they're home sick and it's all natural. So congratulations but don't take it personal is just ridiculous. Well, I I always want to say, you know, this is one day. This is a test that I take on one day. The
local data that we'll present later, our I Ready data and our other local data really gives us the growth data that we see on the ground. That is the data that's being like uh between the teacher every day and the students. >> Interested. >> Thank you for adding those slides. I appreciate it. >> Yeah. You're welcome. Um, so every year when we talk about this state testing, I say like I know that we have kids that go in and just fill in bubbles, click buttons. I did when I we took the CTBS test and abcadab it. I never ever took it seriously at all. I would draw pictures with my bubbles down my scantron. Never took it seriously. That was a detriment. And I as a student did not understand the implications that my one
test had on our school. So when you have a small school environment, when you have a big school environment and one kid does that, it doesn't mean anything. When you have a small school environment and one kid doesn't care and just writes whatever they want, it has big implications. Um, I really think that if all of our students actually applied themselves during this testing time, our numbers would be probably in the 50s, 60s, 80%. Because we're just not trying. We, meaning me, aren't trying. We did. I didn't try at all ever. Not one year. I don't remember ever taking it seriously. Um, so that's how I know that kids just don't understand the gravity of what they're doing. Some kids do and they do great. Um, and let's honor those kids. But we should always
be thinking of how we can get kids to take this test seriously. Um, trying different avenues of like just really letting them know that this test is important. And then also, I don't care about I don't care about the numbers really. I care about what our kids are doing. And our kids are doing fantastic. You see it on our local data. We're not going to see it on this. And when we are comparing where you live and how you test, that's crazy. Like that's I don't care that you live in a mansion or not in a mansion and how that differentiates the way that you test. I think that is rather rude how we how we do that. But that is um the state that we live in. So also on can you go to
the um I wrote CNC indicate the college and careers metric >> that okay so to be prepared you have to make all five of those or a certain like four out of the five or >> no you have to make certain metrics in each one and it's a mix like for the smarter balance summit if it's a level three for ELA or math but for AP it's like you could have two classes you have to I could pull there it's it was way too much to put on a slide. Like under AP, there's like three different ways to get the AP the AP one. Um, under college under college and credit C credit college credit courses, there were a number of ways get AV and other colleges and the counselors work with the the schools
and the kids get the credit that way. But there's several ways under college credit courses that you can get college um to meet that metric as or you can meet it through the CTE courses which we have here at school. So that's how we have kids making that the state of seal the state seal of bi literacy is by obviously getting that earning that award. Um, and then the A through G requirements, there are like a checklist of A throughG requirements. Like, so when you go and you're um like um enrolling, you know, it's it's an enrollment process that if you've met these classes with a C or better, those are considered A through G. our academic classes at our school. If you're going through the regular classes and taking the number of math classes,
which is above what we need for a graduation, um if you're going through that list, you can be all of our courses are A throughG approved. Like we're not teaching kids uh lower than that rigor. Um, so specifically these all of those 45 kids that are prepared meet the state seal of biiteracy requirements or >> cuz that's like I've looked at the state seal of biiteracy requirements and that's really hard to jump up and down 45% definitely aren't because we don't have that many kids doing that yet >> and we just added that. So that's a really good question when I was I wish it was just too much to put on a slide. Yeah. >> Um I'll go back and look at that cuz I'm kind of curious too cuz I wonder if it's
three or of four cuz everyone's not doing that one for sure. The smarter bounce one even the AP. It's a combination of of the metrics. So do you want me to send you that information just so you can kind of >> Would would you mind adding this to an ED subcommittee meeting? >> I'll add it to the next one. >> Yeah. Yeah, you have the data from the unbalanced assessment. >> No, but I can work on that if you like. >> Would you would you mind adding that? That would be great. And then we can just move on information can jump on that. >> Absolutely. >> Cool. >> Yes. So, we'll go ahead and and loop because Ken has a lot to say. >> No, I'm just comes up with this. You're a student. Do
you know what that means? >> Perfect. Let me put you in the orange box. >> How often do we have students taking advantages of taking courses at a community college? Is do you see a high number or >> I don't have the exact numbers. I can get them for you. Our counselors could probably give you more of an exact number. We have a lot of students that do. >> Okay. Um, >> and we still have an active dual enrollment contract with ABC. >> Yeah, >> because I had a student from a high school in my criminology course at ABC and they were number one in the course. I mean, they were fantastic. So, I would love to see more students take advantage of that >> of the courses at ABC. >> Yes. >> Yeah. A
lot of our kids do because a lot of them they can do online. Plus, ABC is super close. Um, I can reach out to our counselors. I've got to write all this down just to give me the percentage of students that and they can probably give me the percentage over the past three years. >> I believe it's free, right, for them. >> Uh yeah. Yeah. And the nice I know it's grown like from four years ago we had a certain amount of kids like every year more and more kids take advantage of that. >> I would definitely like to see a little bit more collaboration between our community colleges and because we're always asking ourselves how do we get more students in here? But I don't see them on our campuses. Hey, you know, this
is what we can offer. That's one thing that I wish I can I wish we can do better at. >> Okay, thank you. >> We could bring that information back. >> Definitely. >> So, the the one thing like President Taxon was saying about the numbers, um, if you look at the the one that was not right, the graduation rate. So, you have one student you said that was wrong, that changed us from 100% to 94% and from blue to yellow. Yeah. >> So, just one student can completely mess up. >> Yep. Absolutely. And it's year to year. So these are students that were here from last year. And what makes it so it's not like those kids aren't even testing. They're seniors now. Um or they're, you know, the next like we're looking at fourth
grade data now. Those kids are fifth graders. What does make it hard at the high school is because we only have one high school. So we have maybe 95 kids testing. Um and so you just like you were saying, you don't have a big source of data. So your data can really swing, you know. Um, and you see it with our student groups as well because our kids are different every year, you know. So, yeah, >> if I could add um before you leave the podium, Dr. Chamberlain, uh, Miss Tony, um, has brought up a good point twice now as far as, you know, the state assessments, putting it into context for our students, making them well aware, preparation. I know you've been running a mile a minute uh to say the least in terms
of the that that preparation for our students for for each and every one of our campuses including the IAB. Can you touch upon that briefly if you don't mind? >> Yeah, as it relates to the the preparation and I know you in getting kids a little bit more involved, getting them to be a little bit more accountable. Um, as a matter of fact, when you walked over, I was talking to the boys because they're all 11th graders. And so I was sharing with them that when the the test comes up, um, first of all, IABS, which are interim assessment block, and there's FIABs, which are focused interim assessment block. They are practice assessments that can be done online through the TOM system. Um, or can be do done non-standardized. Like I can do them all
class. I can sit my kids down. They can work in a group. their practice tests for the state tests that are coming up. Um, and even though that one day in time may be insignificant because I could have a bad day, the fact that I'm teaching the kids that's standardsbased. The kids need to know the standards. Having them, the more that they know when they graduate, the more prepared they are. Whether the test reflects that or not is definitely questionable, but we really do want kids to understand that it is high stakes. It does help prepare them and it also just helps us guide our instruction. So teachers will be using the data that comes back from the IABS and the FIABs to say okay this is an area of growth for our students. They'll
be sharing that data. Hey students, this is where we are. This is what we're going to work on. So students are doing their own goal setting and then they'll be retaking the assessments again. We'll be doing that practice up until we do testing later in April. next year already we're looking at since how there's s such a number of them and they're free uh we'll be starting at the beginning of the year and using those assessments as part of our district benchmarks as well as ensuring that we're you know that our instruction is being guided by the common core state standards that is really um the guide for instruction for our students and when we're doing that we hope to find them more wellprepared for secondary education or careers whatever they choose. Thank you, Dr.
Chandler. >> Thank you. >> Um my my last comment, you can you can sit. Thank you very much. Thank you very much for such a thorough report and for answering all of our questions earlier today in the ED subcommittee meeting and and now, >> of course, it's my pleasure. You know, I do love this stuff. It has pluses and minuses, but >> it's useful. Thank you. Um, the last comment that I'll make is about the ASL that we're bringing and then also our high school students um, taking college courses. My girls both took ASL 1 and two. Um, they took ASL1 in a winter session at COC. So, it was four weeks. They received three college credits. They received 13 high school credits. And then when applying to the CSUs, that one ASL class, ASL1,
counted for both semesters of their language. >> So a winter class, four weeks counted for two years of language when applying to college. Um, and that was the only class that my Olivia to the only language class that she took and she was accepted to two CSUs um to the two that she wanted to get into. So that was really relatively easy for the amount the benefit that they got. So definitely worth it um in my opinion. Very cool cool cool stuff happening for our kids. Um so we are moving on 11 business services. We already uh voted on A. will go to the approval of KHN Financial Consulting Services agreement not to exceed $42,000. I'll go ahead and move it in. Can I get a second? >> Thank you, Miss Saxony. As we're in
transition with our assistant superintendent of business services position, we do have existing reports and projects that are still pending such as the 2425 um internal audit for our budget from last year, the completion of our LCFF budget, medical billing reports, and the list go on. Um requesting approval of the attached contract uh through the end of this fiscal calendar, June 30, 2026. not to exceed 42,000. Thank you. >> Discussion. >> Um I find the consultant to be highly confident. Thank you. >> Uh I I can't get my computer to turn on, but earlier when I was looking at this contract, there were two dates on there that were not complete. Um, have those been completed or can we fill in those dates before this contract gets signed and voted on? >> It's possible it got
changed because I can't pull it up. So, it's >> um, yes, we have term of the term of the agreement commencing January 1st, 2026, terminating June 30, 2026. Um, >> okay. So, where it says term of the agreement, that's actually in our the the contract that's in the minutes says January 1st 202 and terminating June 30th 202. >> Okay, we'll we'll take a look at that. Um what I have as a printout indicates Thank you again, Miss Taxony. January 1st, 2026 ending June 30, 2026 in in my printout. We'll make sure that that is corrected if there's a glitch um as part of the electronic attachment. Thank you. Okay. So, just to be clear, we are voting on 2026 um in that contract. Uh any more discussion hearing? None. Call for question. All those in
favor? >> Falls. Graph. I >> may. >> Brianna Tony I. C. Approval C DW-G. quote number PRXN183 not to exceed $1,045 No, sorry, 145,42389. I'll go ahead and move it in. Can I get a second? >> I'll second. >> Thank you. This large exorbitant amount is all Alex HIT. No, I'm just I'll go ahead and explain. um the the amount of $145 um,42389. This will be split funded between general funds as well as a larger portion from our student support professional development discretionary block grant. This is for replacement Chromebooks. Um we have of course as we know increase in student attendance for this academic calendar. So an increase in Chromebooks that were needed as well as which is a good thing an increase in Aselis virtual academy enrollment hence additional Chromebooks that were needed. So
thank you it for the inventory and putting this forward. Thank you. >> Thank you. Discussion >> hearing none call for question. All those in favor >> I sus. Brianna Tony I. Subject D. Actangorosa Unified School District 202526 first interim letter from LEO. >> Dr. Sahakian. >> Thank you Miss Tony. Uh LEO submitted a letter to uh President Taxony dated January 2nd of this year concurring with the district's positive certa certification submitt of the 2526 first interim report. Thank you. >> And that letter is included in the minutes. Correct. And as well as attached to um the uh agenda for this evening. >> Fantastic. Uh discussion >> hearing none. Uh oh, we don't need to vote on that. Moving on. E Lakeo summary of Williams facility inspection for Metallark Elementary School. Dr. Sahakian. >> Thank you.
So on November 19th, LEO LA County Office of Education made an unannounced Williams facilities inspection visit at our elementary site, Meettoark. There were three findings u during this visit. A few stained ceiling tiles from uh rain that occurred previously. Uh one fire extinguisher that was not mounted as well as unsecured overhead storage. Um so our director of facilities maintenance oper and operations and transportation Mr. Mora um he has rectified the situation um for those three findings with meark elementary. >> Thank you. Discussion >> that was my question. So the answer Thank you. >> Okay. Hearing no more discussion we will move on 12A update bylaw governance standards. I'll go ahead and move it in. Can I get a second? >> I'll second. >> All right. Um, so this is an update to governance standards at
second read. So please bear with me. I did share this at our December meeting. Some of the highlighted language, updated language I should say. Um, keep the district focused on learning and achievement for all students. Communicate a common vision. govern with within board adopted policies and procedures. In fulfilling its role, the board is responsible for, and these are just some examples, adopting and updating policies consistent with law and district vision and goals, ensuring that a safe and appropriate educational environment is provided to all students. In addition, each individual board member is is expected to again a few examples keep learning and achievement for all students as the primary focus value support and advocate for public education. Keep confidential matters confidential. Again, this is all the updated language is highlighted and attached to the board agenda
for this item. >> Thank you. Discussion >> hearing none. Call for question. All those in favor? I >> is this is this um is this action? >> This is a second read and adoption. >> Thank you. I >> ma >> Brianna Taxony I subject B update board policy and administrative regulation 6141.2 recognition of religious beliefs and customs. I'll move it in. Can I get a second? >> I'll second. >> Thank you again. um updated language second read for approval. So as far as the updated um highlights for the BP the policy uh governing board recognizes that students education would be incomplete without an understanding of the role of religion in society in order to respect each student's individual right to freedom of religious practice. Religious indoctrination is forbidden in public schools. Staff shall not endorse,
encourage or solicit religious or anti-religious expression or activities among students during class time. And these are just a few examples of the BP. As far as administrative regulation, uh some of the updates include superintendent or designate shall ensure the following recognition of religious beliefs and customs in district schools. The approach to religion is academic and not and not devotional. The students may not be pressed to accept any one religion. programs and exhibits. When student when district programs and exhibits are are in any way related to instruction about religion or religious holidays, the following guidelines shall be observed. 072request to opt student out of instruction based on religious beliefs, custom or practices, the request shall include the following. Specific instructional content and how specific instructional content substantially interferes with the specific religion religious beliefs of the student and or parent. Thank you. >> Discussion. Hearing none. Um, call for question. All those in favor? >> I, >> false graph. >> I just I >> Brianna Tony I. Uh, moving on to 13 board comments. >> Okay. Settle in for long winter's nap. Um, so I'm going to be I'm going to keep this at a level of all groups that I'm talking about. when I uh started on this board, there was a there was a meeting in March, I believe, of would be 2016 and there was a charter up here and I asked the same questions
that the district attorney in San Diego posed in an indictment and this was before AI so they couldn't Yeah, I'm vain enough to think that if I ask a series of questions in a meeting and somebody writes it about in the newspaper and four days later I can get a summary of it on the internet and then mysteriously 10 days later I get a a statement from a state. That means I can get the state to do whatever I want. Think about the power. I'd start with potholes, not charter schools. But I asked the questions, you should really find this meeting because I had a couple board members taken after me and it was ridiculous. And these people were indicted for stealing $80 million. And it would be very interesting if you looked at what
the associated documents to that meeting were about and to see what the legal firm who was representing the district at that time, what their recommendation was that night and how the board voted and what my vote was. So, I think if a couple more would listen to me, we'd have saved a lot of court costs. We would have snuffed a lot of problems and I would have saved money not buying cartons of cigarettes to go sit down in the courtroom. And as the people walked by me that lied to me right there in handcuffs, I'm trying to hand them cigarettes so they had something to smoke while they were in jail. And then I sped all the way up here. police officer. I'm making confession and Tim Tim Jorgensson pulled me up on the stage
the minute the music began for the graduation of our students that year. So, let's say I was invested. So, I think the LA Times said that from the way they put it out there, uh, because apparently the state reads what the newspapers say, but my campaign was this. We reduce fiscal dependence on out-of-boundary charters. That meant that every time I ask during a budget session, I'm so tired of asking for it, but they all know what I'm asking. Did you make any money off of the charters? So the answer is no. So campaign promise one achieved by me. Did it make me popular? Did it affect the number of Christmas gifts I get? You bet. But at the end of the day, the second one was restore focus on local students. Because if you're making
your money somewhere else and you're laying up on your parents' couch and you're still on their cell bill at 26 years old and you're borrowing your aunt's car and she's paying your insurance for it, you are not self-sufficient. So, your focus is not on your own success. And if you look at those times, they were the darkest, deepest part of the finance system. Still didn't give us money to take care of our kids the way we're doing now. So, it was all a farce. I'm not that smart. Everybody knew it. The system failed by the court not taking the next step, which would be you get the superintendent that was running this place and others and get them in here and produce the vendor list and find out who was taking money in the background
for supplying consultant services. I would have loved to see that. I have not taken one bottle of water from this district in the time I've sat up here 10 years. And that's why then I said I want to restore the good name of the district and get greater educational marketplace. Everybody was suing us. Nobody wanted anything to do with us. But now look how many agreements we have with all kinds of different people. Universities to the clerk's point. How many kids are taking care are taking advantage of the university classes? How many CTE programs are we? How are we doing with the military groups? We've come so far and I didn't do this for 10 years to start over. Now, I'm going to give somebody some advice where they wanted it first. You got to
realize I'm crazy. I completely ignored what staff recommendation was. I fully support whatever they did. They're their own people. At least you got four people up here that can think properly. But I'll tell you what I would have done if I would have been them people and I was running their operation. I would have pulled this off the agenda and I would have went right to the state and say, "Hey, this letter you wrote me full of supposition because you are trying to make up that Senate assembly bill, Senate Bill AB, whatever for 14 that just got vetoed by the governor because for some reason he didn't like what it said. We got rooms full of people, airplanes flying all over the place, and I'm up here trying to figure out how to fund this
district by not drinking a bottle of water every week. So, good job up there, people. But I would have took this letter that they wrote me and I would have said, "Actaguay, I don't need you to approve me, whoever these clowns are that are interfering with this process and deciding what the law means, how they bend it, then I will uh I would have been right in his face with my lawyer all day long." It's so funny the first question. Thank you for for bearing with me. First questions, they're on a list. Did anybody figure out that? Did Sherry Shannon review this petition? That's the first question every time. Why? Because she is the consultant. If she blows it, she's got an attorney. She can defend herself. How many times have we had to sue
you, Sherry? >> Imagine that. Does your organization employ a model in which different schools have a different board? Answer was yes. It's all on the movie. Get some popcorn. Are they independent of each other? Is there one that places other boards in a subservient position either administratively or financially? So the the the catch here is there used to be private schools and you would make sure that whether it was a parochial school, private school, whatever that you had a bunch of rich people going to your school. They don't do that anymore. So some people try to figure out how to take a structure. There are so many private structures that feed education. We can go through the the list, the warrant register, and find out how many different private companies, whether they're therapists, whether they're
this, they're that, auditors, sherry. Private companies lend to the support of a a school district, a public school district. Sometimes you hire consultants, interim superintendent, whatever. It happens all the time, but for some reason you can't do it with if you're a charter school. That's kind of interesting to me. Are there any positions in the organization that are duplicative in function that are held by one individual that amasses more hours that could be provided by that individual working during normal week? What that means is am I getting a salary to be a superintendent at 14 different schools at full ride salary? I asked all these questions. The next one that comes in here is going to get the same thing. If they don't know what I'm going to do, I can't help them. It It's
the same thing. Then I get and if you lie to me, I have shown good faith effort, but this petition that came forward, the staff, understand this, it's very narrow. There are certain things that are in the agenda tonight. There are questions the the staff just can't go, "Oh, I I I want to ask this question. I'm actually asking questions I'm not even supposed to be asking." So, I'm way out of my lane. Who cares? Dodger Stadium will not fill with mourers the day I die. I guarantee you. But I will ask the questions. So, when somebody comes back in six months and goes, "Oh, they were doing this and this." So, staff and this you have to really this is really important that you understand this staff is given what is it 16 items
in a matrix that they look at they can't expand that they can't go away so it comes back in these people are asking us to renew our staff has not had a problem and then I'm rec I'm asking the questions are outside of their purview so what they were voting on tonight was to their best knowledge were those 16 items in the renewal process valid and I believe you guys voted what and that's your narrow purview so I go way off out in the weeds but I made a statement tonight this letter we got from the state I read it into the record there was a reason I did that the author was in here. There were some things in here that said the media reported. Man, if everything they said about me was true,
I don't know what. But here's I'm going to give you one of my silly theoreticals what this looks like. Let's say I and I I want all the kids to um go to the 15 minutes car accident thing. every 15 minutes. You got to figure this out. So, when I tell you my my example, this is not a uh me endorsing anyone. But this is like me sitting down and saying I weigh and this time I won't lie to myself. I'll look at what the scale says and I'll look at how much alcohol I can drink and I'm going to go into the bar and I'm going to time it and I'm going to know if I stop drinking this at this minute, I'm going to walk out and I'm going to be okay to
drive. Meanwhile, the sheriff comes in, starts going like this at me. When I walked in out there, I saw 10 cops out there. They're watching for me. And then I go outside and I know that I'm just had a drink, had a business, me, nice lunch and whatever, not on the district's dime. And here comes all the cops here. I want to I want to test you. I want to I want I I want to I want to violate all your civil rights and whatever. And I want to come stomping into your board meeting and send threat letters. You know what this letter is? If you read it very closely, there is a call in here for an action that the district needed to respond to. This isn't just a hey, you know, we know
it's a rough business. We know you got one person monitoring the charters. We know, you know, how confusing this is. But when they start asking for documents and suggest that the district needs to be um responsive to those requests for documents, in my mind that's a governmental agency saying there could be a problem here. And then when we take a look at the end of it, who was CCD? We got the superintendent, Los Angeles County Office of Education. Half the reports you heard tonight are things that routinely the budget stuff Paula's things they are an oversight agency to make sure that this staff is reporting and that people even the Williams lawsuit about which schools have the best stuff. You don't have the rich kids you know that are purple versus the other people and
the other group that we sort out. Everything that we do is overseen by the Los Angeles County Office of Education. This person tells them in my mind that's like, "Hey, Donna, you better watch this." Deborah, Deborah Duardo, the superintendent. I don't recall we have, and I don't recall we have any problems with Dr. Dardo. I don't think we ever have. Did you ever work with when you were in your time in the county? Did you know he worked for the county office of education before he came out here where the dirt bikes are >> years ago? But she wasn't superintendent when I was there. But and in any event, I don't recall us ever having a problem with her ever. Or some other person. I don't even know who they are. I like this one.
General Counsel Legal Audits Charters Branch. This sounds like an enforcement dude. So when I CC this nice little, hey, kind of, you know, keep up on things. A demand for documents and I got the guy that can audit everybody. This district, going back to the time I was talking about earlier, was one of three districts being audited by the state. This reminds me of something that I don't see, and I did my due diligence by asking these questions. If I find that you are a charter and you're doing these things and you lie to me, we're good. It's on you. And finally, I'll say this. When you're doing these kinds of things, how much money do I have to spend on a lawyer telling me rhetorical information that I didn't even ask for, trying to
convince me what's likely to happen and likely not to happen. Because remember the story I told you about leaving the bar and having everybody assuming you're drunk? Well, guess what? The car I'd be driving is our kids' future and the gas money is their funding. So don't come at me with your stuff and have me, you know, get an attorney to assure me that we're kind of within the lanes and all that kind of stuff. This annoys me greatly. So I extracted myself from this meeting. They did the business. They couldn't have voted no because the matrix says that everything is in line. But just because somebody's over here trying to bully me. Sorry. I'm not gonna be here that long anymore. And my last days are going to be very exciting. You can tell
that. Thank you guys. Oh, by the way, happy new year. >> Uh, welcome back to a new semester. Um, I do want to thank the the football parents for showing up and showing support for the existing coaching staff. And um, I think that we need to seriously take consideration of what they're talking about and go from there. Um, just everybody have a good couple weeks. >> Um, definitely happy new year. Welcome back for the start of second semester. Um this in in my opinion this is the busy time. This is the time where we're already working on wrapping up the year. We're working on promotions, graduations, making sure everybody's um where they need to be and we've already started working on next year's schedules and where we're going next year. So um this second semester
for for staff especially is definitely busy. So, welcome back and thank you for giving it your all. Um, I believe that that's all that I have. Uh, so 14 calendar. Um, we have regular board meetings on February 12th, February 26th, and March 12th. Do we have any conflicts with those dates? Fantastic. When is spring break? because we'll only have one meeting during spring. So that's April. We won't worry about that now. Okay. Uh future agenda items. Uh so far we have subcommittee assignments. Um anything else to add? Hearing none. 16. Adjournment. Uh recommended the board of trustees adjourn at 8:56. I'll move. Can I get a second? >> I'll second. Anybody have anything else to add? Any discussion? Hearing none, call for question. All those in favor? >> I may. >> Brianna Tony I. Thank
you very much.
