All in favor signify by saying aye. Those same sign. And the motion carries. And now we're at that point where uh we're information and proposals and from anyone in the crowd? We'll start with the the news. I

don't think it's different. It's pretty similar that we've had in the past. Um I was wanting to know the first day and the last day. We had to make some adjustments, I think, to the 2028-2029 calendar because we started so early. So, we went back a we went we pushed it back a just a couple of days to get us into that next week. And then we made some compensations around Christmas break for that. So, yeah, the third one. Yeah. Is that the first teacher day? Yeah. Yep. Nope. Probably the sole recognition of an Independence Day. Yeah, for our for our staff in the that work through the summer. Her and son is graduating and he will be swimming at Wabash. Um I cannot say that that is the reason, but it would make sense

to me that she would want to be able to attend his events. So, um that's kind of where we're at. I think we're at that time where we're going to probably bring in new people to work with swimming. We I do think we'll have a returning uh not all of not all of the coaches have resigned. We still have one on staff. Mhm. We still have one hanging on. Mhm. So, it's not. Mhm. No. She is. She teach as as of right now, she is. She hasn't said she isn't. But we're banking on her. That's correct. Yes. No, we'll post it tomorrow. No. Yes. And the junior high assistant principal is now open. Yes. Well, she'll be at Hedges. Jackie's office is at Hedges. Uh the IASB one would be the operations fund. And then

uh I don't know if this is to pay for the college. Yeah. I'm not sure the other one has to be attending the cap workshop. That's so that we continue to offer dual credit programs. He teaches history. And we we did on one of the um IASB ones, we did to get a scholarship we did get a scholarship from the organization to pay for one of those registrations as well. I hear it. There may be. >> [laughter] >> I think there's another from what I've heard, I can't I haven't talked to the coaches directly, but from just what I've heard is that um there's another school in Indiana that that has done this as well. And so, our coaches uh they've got the idea and opportunity from them to kind of have have a chance

to go as well. But yeah, the the booster club will will help uh pay for the expenses, but there probably will be some for the the student the parents as well. Uh the last couple times we have only had one one response, but we always send them out and uh you know, to multiple different people, but yeah, we've we've not gotten a a ton of response the last last couple of times we sent it out. You're stealing my thunder. Um We're going I'm We're going uh Bo and I will be at a conference on the the day that we normally have our meeting and there's also a I ISBA meeting for school board to attend what do we call that? A regional meeting or Regional meeting, yeah. I don't know. They They didn't They didn't

tell us that. I know they're selling tickets the 7th through the 17th, so Do you know the theme, Cathy? >> [laughter] >> We'll make sure he knows about it cuz he missed the winter formal. I'm pretty sure we had our schedule first. >> [laughter] >> Make sure it's to include that. >> [laughter] >> It's at USI. Mhm. Yeah, Getty Town. Mhm. It's kind of in a waiting period right now and once we have an update, we'll we'll bring it. You might want to know when I get to this next part that Mars is being recognized by the state for their IREAD performance. So, they will they have been invited Katie and I think she can take a couple teachers with her to Indianapolis to be recognized for their performance on IREAD. >> [clears throat] >>

That's exciting. That's the second year in a row they've been recognized. Yep. Thank you. Mhm. Anyone else? All right. Non-staff communications and reports. So, we've included our menus for April and then like I just mentioned, we're super happy for Mars school. I think we'll also have very exciting news report for the other schools. But, until we have those percentages officially released, we won't say what that is, but we still have an opportunity for students to test at the end of this school year. And then again in June. And I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised and going to be excited. We may not be so surprised because we can kind of see what's coming, but our teachers and students did really well this year on IREAD. So, they're doing the right things. Great. Yep.

>> [clears throat] >> Superintendent staff. So, that's really all I have to report for that right now, I think. Is there anything else you want to do include? Just the menus. Are included. >> Just the menus, yeah. Any concerns that the board has shared? Mhm. Nothing? All Okay, what? Let's take us on out from future business. So, we have as we were just discussing our upcoming meeting dates. The next meeting is on a Thursday. April 23rd. Um at 5:30. Then we have the following meeting on May 4th. Um at 5:30 and then May 18th. Very close to graduation, we'll have that second May meeting. Um we also will have our National Honor Society induction in the pack on April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. And then as uh Lois mentioned, our prom is on April 25th.

Um from 8:00 to 11:00. And that's all we really have for this meeting. Okay. We have an executive session. Okay. Anything else from the board? Nothing? No. Adjourn 8:00 anymore. All right. Yeah.
