You can all rise for the pledge. >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America to the republic for which it stands, one nation indiv. want to welcome everyone to the December 1st, 2025 meeting at the Mount Vernon Senior High School. Uh we will first start with a call to order um res recognition of delegations. Anyone wishing to be recognized to speak on any agenda item or to be heard as part of the section on the agenda dealing with delegations or citizen comments are to identify themselves by name and the point on the agenda where they wish to be recognized. And Lois, I have you down just your normal. Okay, perfect. Anyone else? Moving on to routine matters. Looks like we can take A and B together. Do we have a

motion to approve the minutes of the November 17th, 2025 meeting as prepared or as corrected and a motion to authorize payment of payroll checks 404791 through 405183, voucher checks 146953 through 147011, and electronic transfers ET 3331 through ET 3338 as recommended. Voided payroll and voucher checks not listed on the voucher listing in the above sequences are not approved for payment by this action. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Motion was made by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Isaac. Any discussion? All those in favor say I. I. Oppose. Nay. Motion is passed. No unfinished business. So moving on to new business. Personnel. We have a motion to adopt accept the resignation effective immediately unless otherwise indicated from the list above. >> Motion was made by Mr. Oath, second by Miss Fetler. Any discussion? All those in

favor say I. I oppose nay. Motion is passed. Moving on to employment recommendations. Okay. Do we have a motion to confirm the employment from the list above? >> So moved. >> Second. >> Motion was made by Miss Butler, seconded by Mr. Isaac. Any discussion? All those in favor say I. I. >> Oppose. Nay. Motion has passed. Moving on to educational meetings. We have a motion to adopt a resolution permitting personnel listed to attend educational meetings. >> Second. You all can have it. >> Motion was made by Mr. Isaac, second by Mr. Williams. Any discussion? All those in favor say I. I. >> Oppos? Nay. Motion is passed. Uh, moving on to insurance recommendations. >> All right. It's that time of year. Uh, we met with our insurance committee and went through all of our, uh,

different products that we offer and the companies that we use. This is our 12th year uh, being self-insured. [clears throat] Uh, and it's it's going really well. Um so what you'll see is the recommendations uh listed there for what we're proposing for um health insurance. Lucent Health uh is who processes our claims. That would be for a one-year renewal. Uh Paro Health uh would be um kind of our reinsurance company uh to protect us. And then uh we have dental for a year. Um, kind of the big change this year would be our group term life, uh, long-term disability and voluntary life insurance. Uh, we'd be, uh, changing to Mutual of Omaha. Uh, there'd be no changes to, uh, employee cost or, uh, benefits that they receive. And, uh, it's actually a little bit of

a discount for uh, for us, but the big thing that it does is gives us access to an online portal. Right now, we still have every employee complete a paper copy of their health insurance and turn it in. This would make it so they can just log in and uh make their changes online. And then uh our section 125 uh for with American Fidelity uh we've we've been with them forever as well. And so that's a an evergreen uh agreement, but we're recommending a a one-year continu. We have a motion to contract with the following as recommended. Health, Lucent Health, January 1st, 2026 through December 31st, 2026. Health Paro Health/HCC January 1st, 2026 through December 31st, 2026. Dental would be Paramount Paramount Dental, January 1st, 2026 through December 31st, 2026. Group term life AD and

ND long-term disability and voluntary life insurance Mutual of Omaha January 1st 2026 through December 31st 2027 then section 125 administration and group voluntary insurance American Fidelity January 1st 2026 through December 31st 2026 >> motion was made by Mr. Oath second by Miss Butler. Any discussion? >> How are we doing on in comparison with all the benefits as far as the cost to the employee or we seeing? >> Yeah. So, our self insurance, our health insurance hasn't premiums in at least five years, if not if not longer, which is a a great benefit. So, when we say we're given a 3% raise, we're actually given a 3% raise. Mhm. >> Um our our vision and health, those are the ones that aren't in the self- insurance, so it's a little bit more out of our hands,

but um vision was a we're in the second year of a two-year deal and there was no rate increase. And then dental, I think, uh if you're on a single plan, you didn't see any increase. If you're on a family plan, I think it was like $4 a month that it went up. So, >> um we think we're we're very competitive with our products. >> Thank you. Okay, we have a motion and a second. Um, all those in favor say I. I >> oppose. Nay. Motion is passed. Moving on to Sunday use of facility. We have a motion to grant permission to the Mount Vernon Parks and Recreck for the use of West Elementary on Sundays from November 2025 through March of 2026 for youth basketball practice as requested. >> So moved. >> Second. >>

Motion was made by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Oath. Any discussion? All those in favor say I. >> I oppose. Nay. Motion is passed. Moving on to Sunday student activities. through a motion to grant permission to the boys basketball team to travel to Switzerland County, Indiana on December 28th, 2025 for a tournament as requested. So moved. >> Second. >> Motion was made by Mr. Isaac, second by Miss Butler. Any discussion? All those in favor say I. >> I. Oppose. Nay. Motion is passed. Okay. We're at information and proposals. Lois. >> Okay. I don't have too much. The question is Switzerland County. Is it down in the southeast? >> Yeah. I It's kind of like in between Louisville and uh Cincinnati like on the river, I believe. um educational meeting. So you always >> Yeah. And

like Courtney York specifically, which we get timing on that because we talked about Paro Health. Um she is uh our teacher representative that's going to the um health conference and so that would be paid by the district and we actually get credit. They the conference doesn't pay us to to come, but it they give us discounts for having representatives there. So we kind of get that little bit of that reimbursement back on on premium decreases. I just wonder if that's another just general question on a Lindsay personnel. Is that correct when we have one? >> That is correct. >> That's correct. >> That is correct. and and mark with it. Um then my only other question I updated this this last story is on the house that you're building and the voice. So, I led

with that. I led with the common uh the city council story about the mayor talking about the they were going to pose Okay, moving on to superintendent and staff. Okay. No questions asked of board members. So, moving on to future business. You want to take us the rest of >> [clears throat] >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, we have no discussion topics this not tonight. So, we are adjourned and we do have an executive session.
