Hope everybody's doing well. Uh, just a couple of notes on here. Region 6 ISBA district meeting. Uh, is on November 5th at Willing Reds in um, Hagerstown. So, if there if you're interested in going, your spouse would like to attend, let me know. I think the registration starts at 5:30, dinner starts around 6 um attended. And so if that's something you're free that night and would like to find out what's exact all the things going on
006with the new legislature coming, you're welcome to I'll get you signed up. You just have to let me know that. Um the uh the the bottom one here that we have um we have been one of the goals we've had is to start a union farm and uh we we purchased Morch Garage. Uh this would have been a while back and so we've been slowly planning and so the the floor of the back barn was concreted and we are setting up for pens and we will have animals on our on our farm. It's all set up ready to go. Um Marvin and his maintenance crew have been working on clearing out the fence line out there but also um tilling tilling the 5acre field. And so we bought hay seed today. And so there's hay
007seed being planted. And so we have our kids helping us with hay and and start our own union farm out grout. We're excited about that. So once that is up and going, we'll have a we'll have a opening out there. We have a ribbon cutting. It'll be a lot of fun to get to get out there. So the idea is around 4 is that in FFA. Uh it's been been a big part of our family, a lot of families in in the community, and we think there's a lot of lot of healing, a lot of responsibility that comes from working with animals with with our kids. And those you don't know, we have rabbits in the courtyard and those those are always highly soughta times and going out and helping feed the animals and and
008those kind of things. So, we're excited about the union farm and more information will be coming on that as we get there. Um the other item listed here, we do have um we have 529 plan clarifications. We've been a lot of questions around the um what the purpose of this, what the 529 plans are. Um, most, if not all, schools make 529 contributions towards their students. Every county has what they call the 529 promise. Um, and there's a day when it's either first grade, second grade, or third grade, or sometimes it's all three grades, uh, go to a local university. And I know we go to IU East. Um and so after that after that time um going to uh set kids up college to show them what a college campus is like um most
009schools if not all schools set up helps families and make contributions towards um students 529 plans. And so this board um last spring made made a declaration that they will make that make a contribution towards the 529 plans of this. And so, so just for clarification, it's not an attendance um bonus. It's not a grades bonus. It's just an award from this board as we back give give back to our students, our families. Um and that any student that was was enrolled here as of August 31st will be eligible for that award. That's it on the afternoon. That's all I have. >> Does anybody have anything else?
