ready. >> All right, it it's 5:30. Got a full house today. So, all right. Um this is the call to order for the March 10th, 2026 WY Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees meeting. And um we're going to start off with our pledge of allegian and vision statement with Derek Morrison to the stands. One nation indivisible for all. >> Yep. >> Thanks both. >> Is coach Salazar here? >> 532. Should I go? >> Go ahead. >> I'll just go. on that and back up. Loving and gracious God, you are the giver of all good gifts. We thank you for the opportunity to serve our schools. We ask that you bless our staff and students abundantly and grant us the courage and strength to make decisions that best support them. Amen. Um, we've got one
item that we that was not on the agenda. It is going to be we need to replace uh as Steve stepped down. We uh have to replace the board secretary. So, at this time, do I happen to have a nomination for board secretary? >> Yeah, I would move to nominate Mr. Mayor Wikkins as board secretary. got to ask. Do we have another nomination? Uh then I need a motion to approve the nomination. >> I second. >> You don't have to do anything. All right. >> Uh signify approval by saying I >> I >> opposed. Motion carries. >> Okay. Now we're back. Uh good news, Dr. Woodward. I get to do the fun stuff recognizing lots of people. This is great. We'd like to start by uh recognizing and thanking the Milford Food Bank for their
many donations to the Waw Sea uh community schools. They donate to our Boomerang Backpack Program and they help feed many of our extracurricular teams. Some of you might have been the recipients of that sometimes like the football uh team and marching band members and that kind of thing. Is there anyone here from the Milford Food Bank tonight? Okay. Well, anyway, we want to publicly acknowledge what they do for our students and thank them. While beginning the process of finding appropriate seating and benches for our newly renovated pool, well, nearly completed renovated pool. A simple task turned into more challenging project than we expected. Wade Wire Wireball reached out to the CT director Tina Smucker and she took the lead on this project andor problem. This resulted in benches for the pool deck that were manufactured,
assembled and installed by students, our very own students who enrolled at the Polywood Academy um of Wisy High School. These benches not only serve the space well, but also showcase student involvement, creativity, and collaboration. Are any of you here tonight by chance helping that? Yay. Thank you so much. [applause] Yeah, that's great. We're so proud of all of you. That's just amazing. Was High School Performing Arts will be presenting Mary Poppins on March 27, 28th, and 29th. And by the way, there are still tickets available if you don't have yours yet. A few members of the cast and crew are here with us tonight. And so, we'd like you to come forward and introduce yourselves and what role you had in the production. So, come on up. Why don't you just maybe kind of like
semicircle in here and tell us what role you have, what you do in the production and your name. Start with your name and then tell us what you do in the production. Okay. >> Hi, I'm Frankie Levenson. I'm a sophomore this year and I'll be playing. >> Hi, I'm W and I will be playing I'm I'm a senior this year and I'll be playing and she's the mom of the play. >> My name is Sophia Smith. I'm a senior and I'm playing the bird woman, Miss Andrew and some fun ensemble characters as well. >> My name is Michael Wilson and I'm playing. >> My name is Ael Wy. I'm a senior and I choreograph all of the dances and then I also play some more ensemble pieces and are featured in all of our dances.
My name is Jayen Jones and I play B and I'm a sophomore. >> Great. Now, if you would just take a moment and smile for a picture, so you might want to grab a photo, too. like the ones you have on. >> Thanks guys. I know youollywood. Thanks, guys. >> Wow. Thanks so much. >> Good job. >> All right. Just in interest of time, we'll keep moving, but that's cool. Congratulations to Deb Fitz Simmons. She was awarded the excellence award by our substitute staffing company, Edgy Staff. Deb retired from Syracuse Elementary and has been subbing there for the last 11 years. So, we appreciate that. [applause] >> Is she here by chance? Yeah, I did. I didn't think she was. Okay. But thanks for checking that phone. Laura Gonzalez and Mattal Maline Wilkerson, both juniors
at Wallacey High School, received honorable mentions in the two 2026 Scholastic Art Award of Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio. Now, get this. 2,270 artworks were entered this year. That's a lot of art. So, it's so cool to have some winners of that competition. Their artworks will be displayed at the Fort Way Museum of Art from February 14th through April 12th if you get a chance to go visit. So, congratulations to Laura and Meline. Are they here tonight by chance? Okay. Anyway, congratulations to them. Syracuse Elementary received a Keys grant from the Kaskiasco Endowment Youth Services. Kayla Grim, teacher, received this $500 grant to be used for the zoo field trip. Thank you, Kayla, for taking the time to apply for this grant to help with the field trip expenses. Are you here tonight, Kayla? Okay,
just since I don't know everybody, I just need to make sure I'm not missing someone. North Webster Elementary also received a Keys grant for $664 to help with supplies for printmaking. Thank you to art teacher Kim Ghost for taking the time to apply for this grant to help our students learn the print making process. Is she here? Wallace is proud uh tonight to recognize four new head coaches at Wallace High School. And when I um introduce you, if you could come up with any family members who are here. Um, I don't think uh the tennis coach was able to join us tonight, but um it's Michelle Bradley and she is a business teacher at Wawasi High School. Head volleyball coach Ryan Edgar. Are you here Ryan? Come on up. Ryan is a Wawasi middle sc
uh middle school science and STEM teacher. Just you can make another picture. All right. And you can then you'll introduce who you have with you when we do that. Okay. The varsity head boys basketball coach is Nate Okano. Come on up, Nate. And any family you have. Nate is an IT computer teacher at Wawa High School. And varsity football coach Mark Os. Okay, I'm going to mess up the name. Osalowski. Is that pretty close? >> Osmalowski. Thank you. And if you have any family, come on up. Mark is a PE teacher at Wawy Middle School. Your family's not joining you. They're being shy. >> Oh, okay. Well, fair enough. Okay, fair enough. >> So, why don't you introduce what family what family members you have with you? >> So, this is my wife Jamie. Thank
you for coming. >> This is my wife Mandy and my son Nolan. >> This is my wife Taylor and then my oldest daughter and my soon to be non soon to be little child. >> Super. >> Well, we welcome you in these new roles and um we're pleased that for all the work we know you're going to do and have done already. So, thank you very much. [applause] Thank you for >> Yeah. Thanks. >> Now, we're going to take a few moments to recognize a bunch of kids who uh got to go to state competitions this year. During the winter season, Wawa sent four groups of athletes to state tournaments. That's really cool. Girls and boys wrestling and girls and boys swimming and diving all traveled to Indianapolis to compete for state titles. The state
qualifying athletes are here tonight. So, when I mention your name, please come up front so the board can congratulate you. And again, we'll probably congregate and take some photos if you would indulge us, please. We'll start with girls wrestling. Kennedy Pierce was a state qualifier and placed seventh at the state tournament. Come on up, Kennedy. Kennedy was a sectional championship, advanced to state, and placed seventh as well. Also worth noting, Hadley Fer was a sectional champion. Regional participants were Alex Garcia, Carly Clevener, Cara Burkhold, and Charlotte Campa. The girls team were also NLC champions, although the sport of girls wrestling has not officially become an NLC sport yet. Per NLC bylaws, the girls wrestling team won the NLC tournament. Are any of the other girls here tonight? Come on up. >> No, it's fine. I
probably misspel or mispronounced your name, so my apologies. >> Kennedy. >> Well, that's the Okay, thank you. Kennedy Pierce and Kennedy Nine, right? Okay, my bad. >> I thought maybe it was a typo. I should have double checked. All right. Thanks so much for representing W. [applause] >> Okay. Boys wrestling. Cameron Center finished his high school career as an NLC champion. Are you here, Cameron? Good. three sectional championships, two regional championships, a semi-state runnerup, and four trips to the state finals. Derek Morrison finished his senior season with 100 career wins, a regional championship, and NLC champion. The boys also sent Isaac Ruff and Kingston Sanchez to regionals, and Blake Rollston, Brody Young, Moses Howard, and Kevin Tomate. Are any of those young men here as well? All right. Now we'll go on to swimming and
diving [applause] girls. Swimming and diving. Wasi sent one individual and one relay to state. Renee Beasley was a state qualifier in the 100 free. Are you here? Good. Come on up. Qualifying for state was a 200 free relay of Addison Ael, McKenna Close, Joselyn Gibbs, and Reese Beast Lee. And congratulations to you. >> [applause] [applause] >> All right, boys swimming and diving qualified seven events for the state meet. The 200 free free relay of JC Merritt, Zack Krider, Jay Stewart, and Noah Metam finished 25th. So, come on forward and I'll finish reading the rest of the boys names. Lakeland Sailor finished 23rd in the 100 backstroke. Colton Booker finished 27th in the 500 free. The 200 medley relay of Lakeland Sailor Martin Dersy JC Moretti and Owen Medum finished 12th. Owen Medum finished 16th in
the 50 freestyle and 11th in the 100 freestyle. Noah Medam, JC Moretti, Lakeland Sailor and Owen Medum set a school record and finished eighth in the 400 free relay. Great job to our Warriors. Wow. [applause] >> [applause] >> Wow. All right. I think the board wants to congrat Oh, wait. There's a few more pictures, I guess, being taken. >> I think the board would like to congratulate all of you. Congratulations. [laughter] Congratulations. >> Now, two things. I apologize for any names that I mispronounced and that I messed up on the Kennedys. I'm very sorry. And also, all of you who are just recognized, you're welcome to stay for the entire board meeting. However, if you'd like to leave now, we would get that. We understand that. We want you to get your homework done tonight,
too. Also during good news, we acknowledge and recognize donations. So we had some donations in the last while. Thank you to the Wawasi Alumni Association. Maybe I'll wait another minute or two. Thank you to the Wawasi Alumni Association for their $1,500 donation to the Wawasi High School drama department for the purchase of student tickets and copyright fees and to Warsaw Orthodontics for their generous donation of $400. The Wawasi High School band received a $1,000 donation from the K21 Health Foundation and Wawasi High School Athletics received a 250 donation from McDonald's. So, thank you to all of those groups for helping out our kids. >> I think that's all the good news, but that was a lot. >> That was cool. Thank you. >> Okay, now we are at the point of the meeting for patron
comments. So, wait. >> Oh, I forgot. Yes, we uh need a motion to approve the good news items as presented by Dr. Woodworth. Do I have a motion? >> I move to approve the good news items. >> Second. I second it. I'll indicate their approval by saying I >> opposed. Motion carries. Thank you. >> Now I'm good. Right. Okay. Patron comments time. Okay. Um All right. I don't think I've officially done this before. So, my name is Eric Leler. Um [clears throat] 6968 Mulligan Court in Syracuse. Um I work with the youth football and youth wrestling programs here in town. Um and Rotarian as well. But I wanted to come here to address the board and I apologize. I probably won't get this done in three minutes so cut me off if you have to.
But um I often get asked why people choose to leave Wahi and and I've spent a lot of time thinking about the answers to that question because I think there's several factors. Um however the one conclusion that I have reached is not because of the people sitting here in front of me today. Um it's not because of the coaches on the field. It's not because of the teachers in the classroom. I think it's because we've allowed a few negative voices to dis disproportionately represent our school district which is overshadowing all the positive accompl accomplishments and everyday successes happening throughout the district. We just saw 15 young men and women who have been to the state tournament representing our district. That's positive things that we need to to continue to push. Um we have a lot
of issues in the school district, but but all school districts do. Um but to focus on the positives, I have two young children here at Syracuse Elementary who are having the best experience at their school. Um what Principal Brock, her staff, the teachers, what they're doing for these kids is amazing. what Principal Walmer um and his staff is doing here at the high school. Uh the amount of hours that they put into these kids, I don't think we understand just how much they do for our kids and for for this community. Um we we can't sit here and and threaten these people's jobs, threaten our our board positions, and do all of these things. Um instead, we need to start focusing on on those positives a little bit more. Um, we have a super mileage
team that and a robotics team that are competing for world titles. We're not talking about conference championships. We're talking about world titles, competing against college teams. This is something that we need to start celebrating and pushing to the forefront. We have a band that just won a state tournament, right? We've got a beautiful performing arts center that these kids deserve, that this community should be excited about, that we should really be promoting within our community. Um, we have outstanding students throughout this district and I'm continually encouraged by the amount of parent volunteers that I see who are consistently supporting our kids within the school and at our events. We need to start celebrating those victories and letting people know what we really have to offer here at Wallace. Do we have a financial issue? Yes.
Can it be fixed overnight? No. Um, but in order to fix our financial problem, we need to start focusing on those positives so we can get our enrollment numbers back up. We're not going to see our enrollment numbers increase if we continue to fight amongst ourselves and battle from within. Um we have to focus on the successes and start talking peacefully to one another again. Um I'm running out of time here, but but other ways obviously we need to talk about taxes and referendums and things like that. Um but I'll skip to the end here just so I don't go over too much here. Um we just hired four new head coaches here. We've had a lot of turnover here amongst our administration um and our school board. But we have to understand that things
take time to develop. It takes time to create a vision. It takes time to create culture. Our impatience and lack of collaboration with one another have led to the inconsistency among those positions. Um I've been involved in our youth football program for 14 years. We just hired our sixth head coach during that time. That's two and a half years per coach. We get upset with our poor win loss records, but how can we expect results when we don't allow time for development? We must be patient. We must have humility. Our district has just experienced a significant amount of change in the leadership. So now is the time that we move away from personal attacks on our schoolboard, administrators, and coaches, and we give them the opportunity to allow their work to take root so that
meaningful progress can develop within our districts. We all want what's best for Wy for these kids, and we all have several different opinions about how to achieve that. But one thing for certain is that we cannot continue to cannibalize ourselves. We must go back to respecting one another and having peaceful, productive dialogue. Thank you. [applause] Okay, we're going to move on to get into our reports. Uh, the first is our learning report. Dr. Wolfong. >> Uh, thank you very much, Mr. Craig. Um, tonight I want to share a brief update on three important state items. Uh first, last week the Indiana State Board of Education unanimously uh approved a new K12 accountability model for Indiana. This new model returns school letter grades and is aligned to the state's graduates prepared to succeed framework, which means
it will not only look at academic mastery, but also at the knowledge, skills, and experiences that reflect future readiness. And at your seat you will see a copy of that accountability framework uh for you to review more closely and um the state has described this as a transition year or it's calling it year zero which means that the initial grades will establish a baseline and help schools see clearly how performance is being measured moving forward. So, in other words, uh what we do for our school or for our students uh between now and the end of this school year, it still matters because it will influence where our school begins under this new accountability system. And I will tell you that I've already had some conversations today um with um uh some teachers at the
high school, Mr. Walmart about um in grade 12, the ILarn uh US government exam is going to uh be a part of that accountability. Uh at the middle school, uh seventh graders are going to have to do a graduation plan and they're planning on implementing that uh yet this year. Um and so so there there are changes that just occurred uh last week uh was announced and and we're already um working to make um make some of implement some of those changes right away. Um so the state has indicated that additional implementation resources and data analysis tools for the district will be coming soon. Uh hopefully by the end of this March uh by the end of this month we will be able to uh start gauging where we fit into this accountability framework and
they are anticipating that um the the year zero letter grade will come out uh sometime late August uh early September. Uh second, the uh I read uh assessment is almost complete. Things are going very well and at this point we're seeing progress in line with what we expected. Uh while results and pass rates are not to be made public until the IDOE releases that uh data, parents will have access to their own individual ch uh individuals results uh within the family portal uh using access codes. uh and we will be sending out information on this uh later this week. I do know that some parents have already been um contacted that their uh child either passed or or did not pass, but um all all parents will get that information uh sent um to them
through um the uh the the iLearn portal. And um lastly, I'd like to say that the uh high school is finishing up the SAT testing this week. Um, and the student achievement on the SAT will actually account for 10% of the high school's accountability grade. So, uh, 10% will be graduation rate, 10% will be SAT performance, and then 80% will be the other indicators including CTE, college preparation, um, and as well as for all levels, uh, student attendance. Uh, I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. Just a memory refresher for me. Everybody every student now takes SAT. >> Yes. >> Yep. >> Any other questions? >> Are the is the is the grade applied by grade? I mean, >> yeah. So it's um there we're act how this one of the main
ways this differs from the previous A tof grade system is that it takes each individual student. So, um that's why the state's coming out with a um a a a dashboard for school districts because we'll take each individual student based on how they do first of all uh academically on either I read or I learn and then um they'll get certain base points for that and then after they have um been assigned those base points they get points based on the additional knowledge, skills and experience. experiences they have. Um so a student could get points for uh having persistent attendance or a 94.5% attendance or better. Um e students can receive points for um growth in becoming a proficient uh English speaking student. Um, then there are things like I learned science and social studies
in um in uh grades four through six that haven't ever been um we've had that test, but it hasn't uh meant really anything to accountability before. So, there's uh quite a few different things in here, but it's it's also um meant to make it a more well-rounded view of what it means to be an educated citizen. And um and also uh it it looks at individual students. So, before it was just kind of, you know, you had 80% graduation rate or 90% graduation rate. Now it's looking at each how each individual student does across multiple metrics. >> So let's say that I mean I know you have the the test results but let's just say you have a body of students that they started at a much lower Yeah. performance level. >> Yes. >> And
when they test they still don't test as high as some other schools but their growth >> Yes. So if if you look like for example uh uh at um grades the the grades K through three it has uh reading proficiency I read and then right under it it has accelerated literacy based on I read. So if a student scores at risk in second grade and then they become proficient in by third grade they will get additional points for growing more than a year's growth. And um the same is true uh down at um in grades four through six uh one year of academic progress and then acceleration in academic progress. So even if we have a student who moves in is below grade level or or below in an island um area and then the
following year grows more than what their target is. Okay. >> Um and that's a percentile growth that uh the state will calculate. um that's how they'll get points for that. That that's one of the reasons why it's really difficult for us to just calculate and know exactly how many points we have because so much of it is dependent upon that growth measure that the state uh the state will um will give us. >> So I take that you're feeling optimistic. >> Yeah, I I'm feeling >> I mean not about I mean about this new change. >> Yeah. Yes. I think um most people uh would say that this change is good. Um this is the third iteration of the plan that they came up with and um each time they they tweaked it and changed
it to make it better. Like for example, one of the things that they um they had in the second version was that a middle school student would take two high school credits in seventh grade and two high school credits in eighth grade. And a lot of educators said, you know, it is not really a good idea to have seventh graders. They're not ready to take AC, you know, academically or mature-wise ready to take uh high school credits. Very few of them are. And um by leaving that in there, it would [clears throat] it would create this artificial pressure on schools to push kids into high school credits when they aren't ready for it. So um in the last um in the third uh and final version they took that out and said it will be
two credit high school credits in 8th grade and they replaced it with a um a graduation plan that seventh grade students need to do which is a really smart idea. >> Seems like >> Yeah. >> So by plan you mean like planning what their courses are going to be? >> Yeah. what they're what what um so they they take um it all it also falls into the college and career readiness u pathway that u the the state is requiring us to um to you to to utilize and I think you remember a couple of months ago or last month I was talking to you about the uh career uh coaching grant that's a a K to2 grant that we need to add in some career coaching um and so it it really just All seems
to fit together very nicely. Oh, >> good. >> Any other questions? We good. >> Okay. Uh, now we are at time for the superintendent report. >> Yeah. I don't really have anything special to add tonight other than what a delight recognizing so many great things that are happening here and recognizing so many kids and I'm continue to be impressed by the programs that well offers for kids really amazing. So good work everybody. >> Thank you. Okay, now we're to grouped action items. Um we had a chance to review the grouped action items and discuss them at the work session last week. Um, we address questions that came up if there uh unless there are any additional questions. Um, if there are any, I'll take them now and we can go through them. If not, I'm
going to need a motion to approve the group action items as presented in the packet and at the work session. Do I have a motion? >> Do I have a second? >> A second. >> Uh, all signify approval by saying I >> I >> opposed. Motion carries. Now we're on to >> with the financial report from Dr. Penrod. >> Thank you. Good evening. A couple things on the financial report tonight. Uh we'll show the slide that we usually show. Our net appropriation in the education fund hasn't changed. Our month-to-ate expenditures a million84916953. Our year-to- date expenditures at the end of February are 3,486,85637 leaving unexpended balance of 18,42787450 and outstanding incumbrance at 205,730 and 16. So our unencumbered balance at 18,2214434 and that's 16.85% expend or encumbered excuse me. uh debt service didn't have any
activity and so we remain with uh unencumbered balance of 14,203425. The operations fund uh monthto date expended at just under $650,000. The year-to- date expended at 1,5127192. Unexpended balance at 9,72795978. Outstanding incumbrance at 130,41765. And the unencumbered balance at 9,597,54213 and that's 14.62% encumbered. Uh no activity in the rainy day. case we have the appropriation still unencumbered at 750,000 on the fund balance which is the cash on hand at the end of the month uh the beginning of the month balance the in the education fund at 3,25,75929 monthto-day revenue uh mostly from state tuition state tuition support at 2,131,76718 monthtoate expenses at a million8491625 uh the beginning of the year balance balance then at 2,810 330 and 65. The year-to- date at just under $4 million for revenue and year-to- date expenses at just under
$3.5 million leaving our current balance at 3,38,35687. No activity in the debt service fund like I said so a million 96452764 at the end of uh February. the operations fund balance uh to begin the month at $4,580,000 monthtoate revenue at 6 I'm sorry 6,395.72 as a reminder most of that is property tax revenue so that'll come in June and then the monthto- date expendences at just under $750,000 the beginning of the year expense the beginning of the year balance excuse me at 5,340 our revenue for the year at $9,28.97 7s and expenses at a million512,7192 leaving a balance at the end of February at 3,8371597 and then the uh rainy day fund had no activity so still retains a balance of 2,463 23191. Uh I got one more thing but before we move to that
any questions on this particular slide and if not just the uh quick bond refunding update or refinancing update. Uh we're looking to sell bonds in the uh in midappril april 15th through the 22nd somewhere around there uh depending on market conditions uh and then close on that bond sale May 13th. And uh we did have our ratings uh uh ratings call and due diligence and I think I explained that at the January meeting I believe and that's uh where S&P Global uh asks us a series of questions and then uh takes that information and rates that rates this bond as far as what investors can expect. Uh they have firmed which means that they kept our our same rating which is a double A+ with with an A+ underlying. So that's really good uh really
good rated which means that investors can invest u pretty confidently that that they're going to get their their earnings back >> and again be glad to answer any questions on that as well. >> You guys any questions. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Appreciate it. >> I think you need to do a motion to >> for that specific >> each one of these I think. >> All right. I need a motion to approve the financial report as presented. Do I have a motion? Make a motion. >> Have a second. >> All signify approval by saying I. >> I. >> Oppose. Nay. >> Motion carries. >> Okay. Next, we're asking for your approval for um requesting a distribution of funds from the Rebecca Lyner Student Success Fund, which is held by the Kaskiasco County Community Foundation for
$5,000 um which is for the student counseling services. So, asking for your approval um of that of that invoice as presented. >> Okay. Um, I need a motion to approve that uh fund distribution. Do I have a motion? >> Do I have a second? >> Second. >> Uh, I'll indicate approval by saying I. >> I post nay. Motion carries. >> Next, we have the resolution of support. Well, it's actually a letter um that would be signed by you that was written by the grant person. Um you recall that last at the work session we had Trisha Gaul here from the town of Milford and she explained about beginning the grant process and the timelines that are upon us. So um we would be asking for your support of this letter as um written to get
it started. >> All right. You guys remember that presentation, right? >> Okay. Any questions? All right. Do I have a motion to approve the letter? >> I make a motion. >> Second. >> All signify approval by saying I >> I >> oppos. today. Motion carries. >> All right. Next, we have the Neiola updates and this is considered a first reading, so we don't really need your approval. Um, but just to make note that this is the first official reading. We had them at the work session as well. It's a a lot of information, but I didn't know if you had any questions or comments on any of the NEOA policy updates. Again, these are just to keep um us with the congruent with the law. you know, as Indiana code changes and the updates the
policies to make note of that. >> I don't think we have any questions. I think and then isn't EFG and H kind of the same type of topic in terms of moving the obsolete material? >> They Oh, they are similar. So, the first one is you need to declare the items that are um not used anymore for educational purposes as obsolete. >> Okay. >> So, that would be a separate. Okay. So, that is the next one. asking your permission to declare those items obsolete. This pertains mostly to the Milford school and the items that were are not going to be moved to the new school. >> Okay. >> So, first for educational purposes, we need you to declare them obsolete. >> And that's that's point. That's E. >> That's E. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >>
Um, do I have a motion to I guess allow the determination as obsolete? >> Yes. >> We don't have to approve that. >> That doesn't need a motion >> because it was the first reading, >> right? So, do I have >> I'll make a motion. >> Okay. Do I have a second on the obsolete? >> Second. >> All uh signify your approval by saying I >> oppose. Nay. Motion carries. >> Okay. And then the next one is So, the next three are all related. Yes. But they're separate items. The first one is the auction agreement uh with craft auctions. We talked about that a little bit at the work session, but they came and looked at the building and feel that there are enough items to warrant um an auction. And so you'll notice that
they get 15% of the proceeds. That's kind of the standard operating um the way they do their business model, I think you would say. And they've worked with other schools, so I think they're very reputable in this. So I would ask you to approve that so they could get started with their work. Uh the only question I had is it an opportunity at some of the other buildings to use it as a purging moment? >> Yes, it is. And actually um you'll notice that the the um resolution for obsolete equipment also did uh notice that there could be things in other schools that if we're not using them that you've also declared those obsolete. So yes, the auction company mentioned that as well that they would be interested if we do have other things in
other schools. So wage on it talking to the custodians and principles about other items. >> Okay. Do I have an a motion to approve the auction agreement as presented? >> Motion. >> Second. >> We got one over there. >> All right. Indicate your approval by saying I >> I >> oppose. Do I have a motion to approve that donation? >> Make a motion. >> Second. >> Uh indicate approval by saying I >> I oppose. Nay. >> Motion carries. >> And similarly some items to the Boys and Girls Club that there would be a donation since we
will not need those items. Okay. Uh, is there a motion to approve the donation to the Boys and Girls Club? >> A second. >> I second. >> All right. I'll um indicate approval by saying I >> I >> oppose. Nay. >> Motion carries. >> Okay. Thank you for those procedural things that will help us move forward with things that need to happen. >> Okay. >> Next, we have the uh asking for your approval of the summer learning lab. Dr. Wilfong presented at the last meeting. Any comments or questions? >> Yeah, I was just going to ask that you approve the Boys and Girls Club to implement the summer learning lab. >> Yeah, it sounded You guys Any questions? >> Yeah. Okay. Uh app I need a motion to approve the summer learning lab. >> Have
a second. >> Make a second. I'll indicate approval by saying I. I >> oppose. Nay. The motion carries. Okay. And then the last item in this group is some outofstate overnight trips. Number one, um from the high school, the engineering design and development class going to Indianapolis in April. Uh the second one, a DECA group from the high school in April going to Atlanta, Georgia. And the third one from the high school engineering design and development in May going to Lafayette. We would ask for your approval of those trips. >> Do I have a motion to approve the out ofstate overnight trips? >> I make a motion. >> Second. Second. >> All indicate approval by saying I. >> I. >> Oppos. Nay. That motion carries. >> Okay. Now to other items. I have one other
item. It's a slight change to the calendar for the vacant board seat. Um Don's going to be traveling and we really want the speed of this is because we want this the new board member to have participation in the uh superintendent search. We think that's important. So, we're moving the interview date from the 19th to the 17th. Nothing else on the calendar changes. >> Right. And that's now posted on the website in case anybody's looking. >> We have already done that. >> Yeah, we already did. >> Good. All right. Uh, that's all I got. Um, now I need a motion to adjurnn. >> Make a motion. >> Do I have a second? >> Second. >> Indicate approval by saying I. I >> oppose. Nay. >> Motion carries. Thank you.
