Ah. I'm saying goodbye to the council today, but I'm not saying goodbye to BBSD. I will always, always be part of ARAC, the long-term advisory committee, which is what I hear is where people retire from the council. I will support BBD in any way I can. So, thank you all very much for the great honor of serving this community. Serving on this council has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I didn't want to cry, but I cry about everything. I cry because of the commercials and the squirrels are cold, but it has still been a great honor to serve. Uh, we've really been through a lot . Since I started my first year, we began the search for a new superintendent. I had no experience, but I'm happy to say I worked

with the previous superintendent. He had no medical history. And I think that's been the best thing I've done on the council. Obviously I didn't do it alone, no board member does it alone, but hiring Rob has made a huge difference. Our district has improved so much, and this is a good district. So, to improve a district that is already good is a lot of work, but changing from a school district to a school district by bringing in the BBE to support schools that were struggling has been incredible and I'm so proud to have been able to be a part of that. And we've seen some struggles in my time here on the council. First it was the classical academy that wanted to open a charter school and they were quite determined that they were going

to run right over us, but no. And we considered offering classical academy to people here if there were enough people in the district who didn't want it, but there weren't . And we also got through the pandemic. This was a big battle, but I wanted to say, if I hadn't been going on this council, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to be accused of committing crimes against humanity, which happened like three times, I think, during the pandemic, and we were able to overcome that, and all the work with the decline in enrollment is very hard work, very difficult, because people are going to feel rejected no matter what you do. And I know that, I knew that doing it , I know I'm doing the best I can and I don't care if someone thinks

I 'm terrible for it. But another thing I'm proud of is how much we work with the community here in the district. We make big decisions for schools without involving our community, and that's what keeps us focused and ensures that we will do what the parents want, what the community members want. So, thank you very much to everyone I 've worked with. It has been a pleasure meeting you and working with you. I stand on the shoulders of those council members who came before me. And I didn't prepare anything like bedh, so I'm trying to say what's on my mind, but again I want to say it's been a great honor and I'm going to continue to be involved. I'm going to be the policy copier and editor, and I'm also going to continue with

the rack. I've been the liaison this past year and starting tomorrow, I think, right? The new board will have to approve me and [name] to be part of it, please. Um, I don't know what else I can do for the district, but I do want to stay involved and do what I can to be helpful and help the district improve. Thank you all so much for your trust in me, for voting for me, for keeping me in my profession. Thank you so much. There are gifts of gratitude and recognition. So, bet if you can pass. Thank you. And the plaques express gratitude for your 8 years of dedicated service to the students of the school district. Another round of applause for K and in gratitude for your years of dedicated service to the district students.

Square. If anyone else in the audience would like to say or share a few words about Kiri and Bet before we continue with the meeting. And I just want to thank him for being a guide for us. I'm sure I speak for the rest of the council members who have just joined, who are new, and how important it is to have guidance from people who have been through the process and understand how things work. So, I wanted to tell you that, not only to motivate us to apply, but also to welcome us and help us understand how to work on the council. And when you said Kir about being helpful, you two are some of the most helpful women you know. I have no doubt about his future. Let's give one more round of applause

to the current board members before they get down to their last business business tonight . I invite you to sit down so we can begin with the rest of the agenda. He 's playing. I would like to call this extraordinary meeting to order on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. We are all here in person tonight to celebrate those who are joining us and those who are saying goodbye. We don't have to review this Bible. I'm going to ask for roll call . Chávez present. Present. Present. With La Noira present. Rushpente. Present. Thank you. I feel a little embarrassed because I should have asked Randy beforehand and we're going to give the land recognition. I would like everyone to take a look at or pay attention to the knowledge screen. The Bol Valley School District resides and

operates on lands that are ancestral plantation lands unjustly and illegally seized from the territory of the Yud, Puebloan, Arapaho, Shayan, Ambache, Nabajo and 48 other historically rival nations associated with these lands and who have called these lands home since time immemorial. We acknowledge the atrocities committed here, including the painful history of genocide, forced assimilation, and efforts to alienate Indigenous people from their lands with the support of government policies in the United States . The baby is aware of the many indigenous peoples in the past, present, and their nations and cultures worthy of taking care of the earth with strength and resilience. The baby already recognizes the stories of the land in Colorado and the survival of many nations that have carried their oral traditions into the present. It is their responsibility to educate our communities

and our students so that we can celebrate and respect the wisdom and knowledge of indigenous peoples. Join together actively to address injustices. By offering this recognition of the land, we affirm and honor the history, wisdom, oral traditions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples and acknowledge our responsibility to care for and cultivate this land together. The council has received the voting results. I request the motion to adopt resolution 2530 prepared by the following people who have been voted on. Everyone sat in a circle, but we had to be face to face. I hope this works out well. I'm going to give you your oath, and you can repeat this after me. I think we have a copy. Sometimes I get very emotional and this can, please repeat after me. My version doesn't have the B, I, and F notes, but I wrote them in if you want, right? Alright, are you ready? This, wishing the best to our past council members . This new education council faces interesting times with declining enrollments and smaller budgets, but I am convinced that we will be able

to do it and maintain our commitment and strategic focus for all students, because at the end of the day that is why we are here, to create the opportunities and conditions for students and our staff to achieve, and not only that, but to surpass beyond their dreams and aspirations. I look forward to continuing to work these next two years with this council body, and with that, this session is adjourned .
