001My name is Ashley Loing. [music] I grew up in the Cedar Springs community. When I went to college to pursue education, I always had this thought that [music] I wanted to end up back here. I actually got my first teaching position in Pamac Park and [music] then there was an opening back here in Cedar Springs, a third grade teacher. Then a position opened up [music] through an instructional coaching role. So my role in the district as an instructional coach, I work with all of our K5 teachers, support [music] them in curriculum implementation. In my role, um, not only do I work with teachers, [music] but I often get to go into classrooms and pull students, um, to do different diagnostic assessments to help them pinpoint where we can start [music] instruction with them. I also

002get to go into classrooms and teacher model lessons. Sometimes our teachers, you know, they pour in all their hard work into the grade level, but they don't always [music] get to see that success come into fruition. So, I love being able to track our students K5 and see their growth and go back and share those [music] successes. Also have another role in the district. I am our varsity volleyball coach. This is my 12th year. For me, that role [music] is just so exciting because I get to interact with our high school students. So, I love [music] forming those relationships with them through athletics. So, when I think about my future, I want to stay a Red Hat. I grew up here. I'm invested here. My kids are now here. I'm [music] getting my admin certification.

003And so having that perspective and that knowledge, I [music] can support um in that way as well. My ultimate endgame is to be here [music] and to continue to impact our district and community. I'm Ashley and I'm a Red Hawk.
