good evening i will call the october 11th cedar springs school board meeting to order at 6 45 and if you will rise and join us [Music] for liberty [Music] here thank you and we've established a forum we'll move on to the adoption of the agenda and i would entertain motion for as presented home support and discussion having none vice president sharpner yes secretary schleicher yes treasurer gilmore yes justin bieber yes justin rivard yes justin bowser yes yes the agenda is adopted as presented a freshman and the homecoming dance was fantastic and she actually really enjoyed it outside she said it was like it was it was really really fun and the setup was amazing and it just every it was really easy to get in with your ticket and everything like that so i just
really appreciate being proactive and we had it outside and it turned out absolutely beautiful oh in the hallways i did judge the hallways and those kiddos are very talented i'm seeing them that we would all understand like the notebook and chucky and things like that and it was i was pretty impressed it was you guys anything else a great time unit come out that's a good dance play that was awesome was great seemed like a whole house i have one thing to share i'm very grateful for uh nolan russo nolan is a sophomore at cedar springs high school and he is a boy scout he's in the process of earning his eagle scout award and he did a service project by installing a sandbox over the early childhood playground our gsr gsrp playground over the
weekend and so i'm grateful that there are people like nolan who see an opportunity and see a need and make a difference in his community we will move on and next we have our high school representatives and we have literally holland and emily and they are here to share with us and if you want to go uh they're not okay we had just 15 helpers come up and help us have decorations seniors were first runners up being sophomore and there's also very organized quarterly so we and then for our spirit days we had i woke up like this which is basically our pj did and then anything but a backpack and little kids versus senior citizens and class colors and the participation plan was a lot better than expected i know you're around the school
and stuff there's a lot of people who had fun with anything but backpack so [Music] our um assembly and our cupcake dance so for our assembly jade yachts who's our executive president of our whole student council did a very good job planning it we have lots of activities and lots of school spirit and then woke up our one of our internships with our football coach had a nice tap to talk and get it required which was really nice and then for our dance um the senior class council was responsible for painting it we decorated in the morning and the dance turned out really well the weather was perfect and everyone played heard from had a really good time there were lots of activities everything was good the music was good everyone had a great time
so it was gonna be good yep thank you thank you thank you the decorations were very nice thank you okay moving to our consent items and i would entertain a motion foreign support vice president sharpner secretary snyder yes treasurer gilmore yes trustee vanderheim yes justine rivard yes yes the consent items are approved as presented that brings us to discussion item a and we have financial updates okay find something so as usual we've got our year-to-date general ledger uh update in the workbook the building site syncing fund budget update is in there as well so you can see those uh cedar trails and middle school projects the final expenditures are coming through now for that work that was done over the summer obviously not much later today general fund as we've just kind of started there
so and then of course if anybody has any questions about any of the other things under extras please reach out to uh to discuss um so real brief tonight just a quick financial update there's three things that i want to touch base on from lansing the first one is senate bill 618 uh which looks like it's going to go through um you may recall over the last several years we've done a refund where we've refunded our school bond loan fund principle in order to get a lower this uh interest rate and the reason is because they've had that with a fixed big percent interest rate for years and years and years well finally um this bill is recognizing that districts are doing this and it's a lot of a lot of rigor role and obviously
money out of the school bond loan fund so this bill would make it so that uh the school bond revolving fund is at the market interest rate so districts like us wouldn't have to refinance our our local fund debt in order to you know capture some of those savings so that's really nice i actually changed the next one um because it changed and i received notice on friday after the board book had already been sent out the u.s department of ed actually did approve the state's sr3 plan late last week so that means that all of our sr3 funds will be released um equalization payment has been approved and so we'll be seeing that in the coming months and gemini and actually many of us will be working on our sr3 plan because that's quite
a bit of money that we will be spending over the next few years so that'll be shared in detail moving forward the equalization payment if you recall me mentioning this before that's about 1.1 million dollars in the equalization fund alone so 2.8 from sr 3 another 1.8 here excuse me 1.1 coming through on the equalization payment so quite a bit of 3.8 million that we'll have to spend on a list of approved things over the next two years or so so more to come on that and then um just the last thing the house fiscal agency and senate h fiscal agency both released august numbers that were once again way way ahead of where estimates were and i would go through the details of it but um continues to be great news out of lansing
for the school aid fund you know obviously we have that very very large almost hundred dollars per people increase for this year but things continue to turn where they're at you could be seeing that as schools have been underfunded on the general fund for quite some time um i'm kind of jumping the gun on this one um my next action remember the topic of discussion is the summer tax resolution i just threw it on here because this is an annual resolution that we pass every year it actually doesn't have to be done until december but i like to get it out of the way in october there's just plenty of time we have to send it off to our local municipalities basically this is just the board's approval of the tax resolution that 100 of
all taxes are available so no change there that's just something that's also in discussion so i'll just count this as our discussion um obviously that resolution same thing from year to year is attaching board book and that'll be up for action on the 25th of the month so if you have any questions there please do reach out this is hard to see on this small screen um but this is uh so i'm gonna roll it up everybody's okay with that so i wanted to give an enrollment update obviously this past wednesday [Music] but i've got our fall 2019 count our fall 2020 count and then our fall of 2021 count here okay so um only about 11 down from last year obviously we were hoping for more uh to be up so i budgeted up
from that last for this year matt blood and i went through and we kind of went through section numbers and budgeted up uh but we're down 80 from the projected budget okay so when we come around to an amendment uh in december or january that's going to be reflected so if you remember in june we passed what was really a relatively flat budget we were positive 65 000 um so this is going to have pretty drastic impact on and then i haven't done this in a while but i thought it'd be a good time to start uh here and that's the investment earnings update uh you can see the different funds we've got the general fund the debt service fund the sinking fund and then our new uh school bond school building site that's the
new bond fund um if you look back at 18 i'm sorry 1920 that's the free pandemic year our earnings were you know substantial really fell off the cliff last year and you know we're trending kind of in that direction but again interest rates are what they are so invested investments are are following you know suit so really in the same boat as everybody else there hopefully we'll have good news but economists aren't really predicting that and that's all i have so if anybody has any questions please feel free to ask grades yeah i mean we've looked into [Music] completely and looking at those secretaries that ask when somebody transfers out the reasons i think i reported on that previous meeting continued to change that it's pretty much across the board at that from just me
home school all the counties those type of things okay questions for chris we have lovers that we plan on poland to come in on [Music] yeah it's a great question um really you know we were actually discussing it this morning last week there are some things we can do as their dollars obviously you know with the pandemics still being present you know it's good to have lower class sizes so we can backfill with some of those vessel dollars to offset that cost because you can can supplant with those dollars so we can use them for the staff that already are that's probably our plan for now but as we continue to move through the year and get a better idea trip with jenny join us as well so that she can answer any questions you
might have um we are pleased to be returning to some somewhat normal scene with um an east coast trip on the jacket for this summer for our weekly schools for you about that trip so we have historically taken approximately a hundred students each year out east um traveling to new york city nightfall great trip we do a lot of the historical sites have some fun in there as well but a great way to to end the eighth grade year in synthetic school and it is a bus trip did you take a bus out there on across the entire dirt [Music] so any questions that you might have about that trip i know that it's a long-standing trip here in cedar springs and probably even many of your children went on that trip and experienced the
fun of the history and the independence of being on make sure my two older kids both went on it and i was so disappointed because my son was in eighth grade last year so he wasn't able to participate and yeah it is a wonderful wonderful trip and i can't imagine how you deal with the kids whose phones fly over the side of the boat but there's been times it has been honestly it's been very sad to not be able to go the past two years you know we were kind of hoping that last year we would possibly be able to operate to the freshmen and eighth graders and that just wouldn't happen unfortunately so we're hoping to kind of get back to a little a little warmer they're using the same uh travel company that
we've used in the past country so we have the experience with them and we're very satisfied my daughter's both gone we appreciate next time thank you thank you okay right discussion item d the michigan association of school board delegate assembly representative selection yes so this item uh annually when the masb the michigan association of school boards gets together they have a delegate assembly this year's delegate assembly begins on november 11th each district is asked to identify each board of education is asked to identify a delegate and a representative who can stand in for the delegate in the event that the delegate cannot participate in the assembly and so we need a primary delegate to stand in represent cedar springs public schools and then we also need a secondary delegate uh to be named by the
board this is for the delegate tracy and mr has volunteered to be alternate is there anyone that would like to vote all right thank you for that so that'll be on for action later tonight so we can submit that and then tracy you need to you haven't registered yet um and we have discussion item e the 21 22 parent advisor for special education pace representative stacy is going to tell us about that that's every two years that can move forward and say we need another member for paige which is the parent advisor for special ed for the kent isd so they meet monthly and it's a two-year term so we are going to use the toxin for a renomination she deserves report she'd like to serve so that's we'll need action any as well okay
that brings us to discussion item enough the kent intermediate superintendents association transparency update and tonight we'll be discussing the state of the cat isd and avoid information regarding the next mandate for the beginning of the school year and walking through that timeline and the void emails and stats going to explain the rest so in your board back i included a pack of 25 documents that came they were presented on the internet a parent actually emailed them to me late last week and just said i want to make sure that you know what's what's being shared on the internet um the collection of documents were came from a foia that a member of the community submitted to the kent isd specifically mr ron kaler and so what i wanted to do was just talk through this
packet of 25 documents i don't know what else is out on the internet but we can at least speak to these specific items so really this uh this primarily comes from a concern around a document that dr london shared on august 13th and in the packet that starts on page three of the of the bundle so specifically for us the kent intermediate superintendents association which is an association made up of the superintendents from kent county had a meeting on august 13 at 9 00 a.m and we were not aware that dr london was going to be issuing this statement and so when we heard of this statement and then actually had an opportunity to read the statement we were frustrated i think to put it mildly specifically on page five in your in your packet
at the end from dr london and i'm quoting his statement from august 13th in conclusion i'm not issuing a public health order mandating masks in the schools at this time this decision is due to the reality that not all options have been exhausted to prevent the danger before us the schools and parents have even greater power than the health department to protect children and the community in this instance they are also better positioned to enforce such under the revised school code public schools have the responsibility to provide for the safety and welfare of pupils while attending school or at a school-sponsored activity the authority of schools was affirmed by the michigan board of education earlier this week when they approved a resolution that supports and allowing school districts to make scientifically informed decisions about whether
to mandate covet 19 masks for all students teachers and visitors to be clear the kent county health department has reviewed the science and we agree with the conclusion of the cdc the american academy of pediatrics our local hospitals our medical advisors and the over overwhelming body of peer-reviewed literature the use of facial coverings in the school environment has been affected at significantly limiting transmission so as a body the kent isd disagreed strongly with dr london's position we did not agree with the position that we held more power than the health department our position was one of allowing each individual district to make the choice and by by august 13 districts like forest hills districts like east kentwood the wyoming districts had already made the decision to mandate masks for students but as you can also
see in the emails that were floyd several superintendents stepped up and said we don't agree with this mandate and for us it's about choice so it was decided that we would craft a response letter to dr london and i don't know how it's like for you in your workplaces but if you try to get 22 people together to draft a response that can be a rather clunky thing particularly as districts were starting school the following week and so a representative group made up of one superintendent from each of the four regions got together and crafted the body of a letter to issue back to in response to dr london's statement and in a nutshell we said you're wrong dr london uh we do not have the level of authority that the public health department has
in terms of issuing a mass mandate uh if you want a mass mandate and you feel in your professional judgment that the circumstances are so dire that we need to take this action then you need to issue a mass mandate nowhere did we ever say dr london it's so bad in our schools please issue a mass commanding that was not what we want to be clear that is not what we wanted we wanted the opportunity to make choices so our response to dr london was simply to say you're wrong respectfully if it's so bad in your professional opinion that a mass mandate needs to be issued then you need to do that because if we try to do it at the local level it will not be successful we don't have the power that you
assume that we have so that was really the the body of work that led up to the drafting of that letter that response to dr london and i agreed with that position and that's why i added my signature to the letter that's it so there was another issue that raised some some concern on the part of individuals in social media there was a statement that doctor or that ron kaler shared he sent an email out to the kent intermediate superintendents uh with the subject item elegant in kalamazoo county uh hd health department issues a mandate and then there's a link to a wood td8 story my response to that email from ron kaler was oh boy if the kent county health department follows suit will you have any openings at the kent isd for me
after i'm fired from cedar springs and clean the tar and feathers off my skin of course so basically that was a joke the email was you know my community is not going to be happy many communities in kent county are not going to be happy and the tar and feathers point was referencing an age-old practice of public officials when they make unpopular decisions community members will dip them or pour hot sap all over their bodies and throw feathers in it so i don't quite understand why that was such a high point of individuals but that's really all that was as well it was an attempt at some key uh in a pretty stressful situation so are there questions or wonders that you have about anything that's transpired so far we are firmly positioned i firmly
believe that districts should have the opportunity to make a choice and if the health department feels they're they're the professionals we're not health professionals they're the experts just like i wouldn't want a health department official coming in and telling us what reading curriculum we should teach or what math curriculum we should teach that's their lane and we expect them to guide our practice on matters of public health so to clarify too as we've discussed before when i spoke at the kent county commissioners meeting it was not in opposition of scott but it was higher level scott had helped in suggesting the mtss the multi-tiered systems of support peace that i had in my speech because that was how we could plan to start school using the least restrictive supports and see how we could launch
off the school year and how would we do it this board has been asked repeatedly in public comments what we were doing and and we were being told that we as a board weren't doing enough and we were constantly reminded that we worked for the people so i was doing more work by attending the kent county commissioner meeting and speaking there by stepping out and and speaking there there's been insinuations that there's a rift between scott and the board of education there is not i also had talked to roger morgan personally our kent county commissioner on the phone earlier that week and i wanted him to hear from our district formally during that public comment kent county health department became less collaborative and was and was pushing mandates on the schools without a public health
order they wanted to shape the schools into doing what they wanted scott was prepared and confident to start school but as the younger congress to mandates it became apparent that what was going to happen and the parents were going to lose their choice for their children regarding the kent isd and ron taylor we misty and i went to meet with ron taylor as higher board of education work and also out of the plea from the public comments at our board meetings as well and i had concern regarding ron cabler's work from previous legislative special education education and my previous board work ron keller was what i noticed they are our kids not his or ken isds or kent counties we want local control and parent choice because they're the biggest choice and it's not even
a superintendent vote would be the best way to handle it we're in education and we can use data and we can just like the differentiated teaching we can use different strategies because all of our districts were are different and we let them know that very clearly i have multi-tiered systems of support can get us started they could have been used to get started and see if we could get it's concerned that lauren taylor could advocate however they personally wanted as the point that he needed to hear our order that voice misty explained quite pleasantly also how the trust we had worked so hard to get was crushed with that county public health order and ron taylor needed to hear that from the board of education we reminded ron taylor he that we are elected and
he is not the good news out of all this mess is we we are working with the other northeast kent county districts board of education and we're sharing more information and staying in touch with each other on issues such as critical race theory and other mandates it's going to take all of us working together on the same page to restore global control of parent choice we were not anticipating any mandate from dr london when we shared our response we because other districts were already making choices as they saw the need to make choices to require masks and so when that came across as a blanket kent county position we were shocked we it would have been much easier for us i could have easily launched if we had parents that wanted masks it would have
been easy for us to shuffle class lists and make make mask groups and make them unmasked that would have been an easy thing to do that would have been an easy mtss approach a multi-tiered system of approach to provide opportunity for families to get the experience that they're looking for but we didn't have that option and so you've got to you've got to sometimes play the cards that you get and so that's what we can do do you feel like that letter was misinterpreted by adam which letter from the superintendent because it looks like when i read the first statement you know his position was kind of let the schools decide yeah and then he received that letter and his position changed but there may have been other variables as well but this position changed
so if it wasn't the intent i get that but it feels like maybe there's an opportunity to clarify that you know that wasn't our intent because it feels like maybe it's misreceived i mean i can't speak to how dr london received that letter the sentence was very clear we don't have the power to issue a mandate if in your professional judgment circumstances are so dire that our kids need to be wearing face masks then you need to issue that you know for our district we don't believe that the situation is so dire i'd like parents to be able to have vocal control and maybe submit district specific letter or how you feel about that yeah i mean we've been consistent i can try again but we've been very consistent that you know for us we
should be able to make choices i mean we did last spring there were times last spring when the kent county health department made recommendations and we said you know what based on our numbers thank you but we're going to keep our kids in session and continue to have in-person money so it has been again you know just backing it could be could it be possible that actually pushed him um you know taken it's a subtlety but could that have pushed him um yeah i i wonder i wonder that people reading it because well it asks me to see now this is i mean we were we kidding the different things that have happened with the other you know the latest budget law or not law and the different accounts management he was on your great
pressure were there any superintendents who did who did feel that they could handle it on a local level of the 22 did they all sign the left i believe 20 of 22 signed the letter i don't know why the other two did not but i think the districts that wanted to put a mandate in place put a mandate in place the rest of us didn't want a mandate so we didn't put one in place the concern was for absenteeism the students were not masked and so that work is going to continue um they're going down yes we're no longer at the top of the list in terms of cases per 100 000. we're fourth place now right sparta is the top of the list now all right they're like 525 followed by construct park followed
by kent city followed by cedar springs i think we have 435 cases per 100 and i'd say okay all right thank you all right that brings us to a portion of our meeting for public comments and this is a good time that you would like to address the board for their three minutes uh mr john nix is the first person at the mic i'd like to uh yeah you're the list you're at the top of the list so the emails [Music] email from clearly chosen [Music] [Applause] [Music] young kids [Music] [Applause] [Music] is [Music] do your job [Applause] carol p from plainfield township i'd like to start by saying the bible is [Music] according to the 2016 film agenda there are eight things leading us away from god and socialism [Music] the discrediting of the
family as an institution three schools being used for socialism and control of teachers unions and school boards for the elimination of laws that govern obscenity by the promotion of pornography motion pictures and tv and most recently since financial sexual behaviors being designed as well seven complete control over the process radio tv and motion pictures and aid the discrediting of the bible i don't know about you but i think god is something to be mad about the bible says in the second chronicles if mighty people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways and i will forgive please join me and pray for our children and our country heavenly father we come to you tonight [Music] we thank you for your many blessings
that have resulted because of us we ask that you protect our children from the evil that is being pushed in the teaching of crc in our schools [Music] here as they fight for the children we pray for courage and strength as we come upon the many issues facing our country holy spirit come upon us all and open our hearts to them to accept the love offered by your son jesus open the eyes of those who don't fully understand what is happening to our country show them the truth and expose the evil that is happening in our schools and all over the world lord please humble this school board here tonight give their wisdom and discernment as they make decisions affecting children and feelings in this school district show them the truth and soften their hearts
to do your will lord forgive people of this beautiful country forgive us order [Music] julie kaiser we've touched on this here's the emails from august if anybody wants to see them i can give them to you um let's see i really just want you to know how much we appreciate the lack of transparency thank you for trying tonight uh with us although you keep telling us that you hear us and you're on our side so here it is ron kohler at isd along with scott and other superintendents in the county school districts was very disappointing and disturbing to read all of these considering you hear us are you doing everything that you ensure and are you doing everything that you can to ensure parents have a choice but that being said if scott acted on
his own to be seen for the word because this is however the rest of the children are being masked in the direction of scott and other superintendents i was not aware of any other administrator in the building having called for a mandate that doesn't matter so thank you um these emails show a short begging health department to have a mandate so let's get to it after the letters will have county superintendents saying we will now condition the mass mandate or because the authority lies with the parents in schools this did not set well with the superintendents of kent county members of isc requested that their carefully crowded letter be wrote lightly asking adam to issue a mandate for fear of losing control losing control of the schools not following masking guidelines ron holder the superintendent
at isc said a letter on the 17th of august on behalf of 20 of the 22 thank you for scott for signing out we appreciate you being one of those funny uh scott smith here in this email that shows he wanted his signature on the letter as we know we have one initiative issued an order on the 20th for mass spoken commissioner's meeting stating that secret springs this the whole kent ifc did not speak for cedar springs thank you that was appreciated uh this clearly shows our superintendent does for the emails gathered on the 27th of august two of our board members went and spoke with ron at isd requesting our city got requested to sign the letters and who was in attendance i don't know because we have regarded emails i'm here today to
offer scout's resignation on behalf of acting without the board i would also like to deeply question and set up the forum to questions with that being said i'm also requested to have the information um [Music] um [Music] carol vk from plainfield township uh [Music] um [Music] parents is need transparency i mean the truth actually answered parents questions most of what we heard in the last little board meetings is that these parents don't get anything back via email phone calls of course not at these meetings which would actually be a good place to answer their questions you can't do it for everyone's together parents this is what decisions [Music] along with us [Music] history [Music] brainwashed lightly and this is their school the schools are the sources of these as well as their own government this
is the different state of this country what they have been taught [Music] is has been passed forever [Music] help them [Music] [Applause] [Music] if you guys keep um [Music] [Applause] [Music] um [Applause] [Music] uh i know uh april 10. i don't know how [Music] it's always your way all the time [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] is [Music] you [Music] [Applause] you all frustrated [Applause] casey dryer all right [Music] so my two kids are in private school right now at the private school that had a little school close to a new parents meeting he said during the parents when he said hey this it applies to is but you know what i believe parents know what's best for their children so we're going to allow the parents to choose [Applause] do you think it's true
and then listen to the parents [Applause] you know two times as many people die right clogging the arteries right obesity lack of exercise right right so let's let's take this to another level let's talk about common sense all right we heard from the seniors here and the junior robberies so we had a big uh school uh assembly right but is certainly important great right they eat together in the classrooms the lunchroom they're all always together yeah when it comes to a we had a great dance because i bet this place would be packed if we didn't unbelievable but you know that's common sense it makes as much common sense [Music] so i'm asking you to wake up all right here we go [Music] [Applause] [Music] is [Music] [Applause] is [Applause] oh [Music] live [Applause] mitchell
um [Music] um [Music] um [Music] um [Music] um [Music] um department issues there are also ways [Music] so [Music] so i see it [Music] danielle scott hello [Music] many 49 um ago surprise surprise i continue to feel disgusted with the use of these virtually useless [Music] regardless [Music] um [Music] um [Music] um in the classroom [Music] um [Music] do you respect um members will follow the guidance it is our professional experience and such that's not and um there's we've all wondered why especially september i believe mid-september [Music] um [Music] is um the other things to go over i'm really curious about where um [Music] um [Music] um [Music] ancient burgers [Music] while an emergency cannot create power and no emergency justifies violation of any of the provisions of the united states constitution or state's constitution's
public emergency such as economic depression or especially literal construction of constitutional powers has been declared that because of national emergency it is a policy of importance of the kinds of national hero so liberally [Music] constitute a division and classification of the powers of the coordinate branches of the government and in so far as many not be clearly inconsistent with the constitution all right thank you that ends our public comment for this week [Music] so we'll move on into our action items and our first action item is the masb delegate assembly representatives would be tracy first alternate and i will entertain emotion [Music] yeah justin bowser yes president reid yes motion our second action item is the 21 22 parent advisor for special education pace representative and we have any discussion having none vice president sharpner
secretary schleger yes treasurer yes justin van gaal yes trustee of ours yes justin bowser yes president reid yes marshall carrick and that brings us to the communication portion of our meeting and we have misty that traveled to lansing earlier last week yeah on the 29th they traveled to lansing those are behind the scenes um and so um it was put on by association of school boards and then we had a panel with two senators and then two representatives um and we were mainly the a lot of the focus was talking about the teacher shortage and then i it's we're almost in a crisis with it um and even uh universities that have education programs have seen a huge decrease in enrollments for education um and some of what they're thinking is because students have to
teach and work 40 hours and it's kind of hard to hold a job and then also um teaching also as a student teacher and so they are making a way of where if we may have funds also where we're making patient teachers but that's something that we would have to look into and then also um looking at different ways of also like how at career tech centers how we have for nursing or for different trades maybe also incorporating that for education so kiddos in schools that's our students in school can um uh can also like do more of a tech program and get also credits towards them when they graduate and then see if they really enjoy it before they actually start paying all the money to a university so we have 55 schools are
already doing that within the state of michigan so that was very interesting i did speak up um senator horton was there and i did speak up and just spoke on in regards of the mandate and that we wanted control vocally and due to the health director um in kent county and everybody kind of like yep that's us um and just said we want local control senator ford did say that uh the school districts should have control and higher ups need to respect that and then also there's another senator that was there and she um was more on the party side that kind of agrees with washington and she even said she asked directly who was that director and i didn't i called him out and i also explained she said that he should be speaking
to us and i said well we did have a meeting with him but he cancelled um at the last minute and so he will not talk with us and she's she was someone right now um so we are having follow-up um i am having piled up with those two senators um and then also with the state reps um there's also a couple bills that we're going in if kids are quarantined it won't count against our accounts our student accounts so that is a bill that's going through also then as you know and then also the bill 567 which will create pathways for parapros that have three years of experience to help them get thor their degree in education to become teachers so they're making it a little bit more streamlined for them um which i
think is great and um then also um and then um just really focusing them on on the teacher shortage we um are having a very very huge issue right now so um we're hoping we don't get to that point but um just so everybody understands we are working a lot behind the scenes and the senators and state groups are aware of that we want local control so so okay so we then have the upcoming misb leadership conference in november um as with that we take the information that we want and we progress you know what works for our district and then it was ever planning to go we need to get registration all right thank you all right that's that's what so crystal hanging rob and i are working to come up with some additional
