007lot of meetings but this is a temporary issue and that's listed job beauty in her contract that she's supposed to perform so i feel like it would be like giving a teacher a 45 stipend for administering a test or grading a paper like it's a task that's already in the contract and i feel it puts us in a bad position because it makes us say either you're worthless or you're not and that's not what it's about but at some point like we're already getting raised i think that's sufficient anybody else trust me i do want to reiterate that i do think mary you do a good job i'm not saying that what i'm saying is i think the person who suggested this extra stipend is trying to put us in a bad place if we
008say no we're bad people if we say yes we're giving away the money that's um i will just say i appreciate mary in the last two weeks i've appreciated her much more um not that i didn't before but um we've had a whole lot more to talk about recently um we've had superintendent searches in the past and the administrative um assistant secretary whatever the particular job title has been over the last three decades that i've participated have all had to do this when there was um an opening so i believe that this maybe was done to to make us uncomfortable and to make mary uncomfortable um anybody else trust each aimless i will say if the majority of the board favors this idea we could change it to where there's a certain amount of meetings
009a month like if it's more than the standard two then for the eight like the extra meetings you know because that even though that is job title i could say i can understand that but not foreign trustee hill dr hill okay and um i just wanted to say yes you know please consider that because you know she spends a lot of late nights you know while other people in the district are you know home with their families and i think that we should consider that [Music] all are but anyway and we had we just had four in june that's a lot of late nights so what's the will of the board right now the motion on the floor made by trustee chambliss and supported by mr holcomb is as it was presented did we want

012coordinator for madison um just wanted to walk through the hazard assessment that we got back from sunset with you guys just to give you an update on how it's going most of this has already been completed and fixed [Music] for example the first one we over at ecc we fixed that the ceiling panels were fixed we can't promise it's gonna stay like that just because the roof's not in good shape um but the bond will um fix that um the amazon page two have been fixed already the exit sign works these spring lights have been taken down on page three we had um we had conti come out on june 20th they did an entire district inspection for the annual inspection and this was taken care of the sidewalk and the parking lot i'm kind
013of waiting until we have a superintendent in place here so we can kind of there's a lot of work that needs to be done around the district as far as sidewalks and parking lots so i think that's kind of a bigger project and i wanted to wait till you have someone in place and kind of give my opinion on what we need to do there page four uh we this caution today was completed we moved that stuff um the boiler we think uh hartford steve boiler company came out and inspected the whole district again and we're awaiting those circles in the mail so and then page five [Music] they're recommending a backup sump pump in the administrative building i'm kind of waiting on this superintendent to approve that as well well around that everything is
014completed and i wanted to give a shout out to our maintenance staff ricky and gary they've been very helpful um they've done a great job uh so far this summer helping me with that um as well as the custodians i mean there's a lot of work going on preparing the building so just wanted to give a shout out to them any questions i have just one so so is this kind of where we're at as far as are we at the bottom of the list with uh insurance problems um yeah so they've as far as hazard assessment they've assessed all of our buildings um still there's a couple things from the first report i'll probably update next month but i'm just waiting on a couple of responses but yeah i mean this was a pretty

019just didn't want everybody to think that i had let that go to the side right now i'm still looking at them and there's still a ton of them every month so we're going to be making that transition okay so we'll be able to check those expenses better and they're going to be cheaper than what we currently pay atm t okay trustee channel is gone so i just have a question so on the check registry when you're going through it it shows you like the check date which guys assumes when we write the check like what our check is dated for yes and then it says invoice date and that's when their bill is dated correct that is correct because there's so many may march but actually some of them actually go back to 2021 and
020i mean i'm not talking a little bit at one point it's entire ages and i just why are we paying bills from december 21 i think everything orange is greater than three months old i think you were talking about school specialty uh yes one of them that i noticed yes and then also there's quite a few there's masd which is from february john our class from may jw pepper sun from april and march also from february impress printed is in february and you know when you look at this check register there is there are different things that happen you know uh before we pay a bill you know we have to receive the goods so you know that's one thing and then there has been certain disputes with some bills you know for example with
021school specialty they'll pull us from one thing and then they'll invoice for uh you know they'll invoice us for another amount and so we have to you know go back to them and have them honor their quote and it takes time between the two companies especially with school specialty and ks kss we have that issue so have we incurred any late fees on any of these no no we're not going to pay any late fees well there's a dispute between our two companies so 18t is not targeting late transportation no you know what i would have to look up that individual situation and then you know tell you what happened there but the two main companies where we have that type of issue is kss and school specialty anything else i would have to look
022at that particular situation and really find out the reason you know what happened well i believe i take the cold used cars that we have that one yeah that's a transportation bill um you know it depends on when we receive it in the district because uh it's not on the essential list and so you know our bills you know check register comes to you like a week before the end of the month so if they don't get it in before that time then they have to wait a whole another month to be paid so so it's like we're not at risk of anybody refusing to do service to us like detroit boiler they're just from november last year they're not going to refuse a call from us because they know at one point then said
023at a meeting that they might not come out and service us and that's why they want these things taken off the check registry was because if we went a couple months about paying them that they would not come out and service us why would they not service the school and we were told that in that situation it was handled but in the past we've been told that they're not being on time that we can be denied service so we're not going to be tonight servants if we're we're not in that situation at this point no and so yeah and like i said you know i would have to look at the individual vendor and see where their hold up is to tell you exactly where the bottom neck is okay you know i know the
024two main ones you know but then anything um that's close like i said you know we have a cut off that is actually before the end of the month where we prepared this packet for you and so it feels you know if we don't if they don't send it to us before the cutoff which is a week before you all you know actually get it and it's still in the month of june they have to wait until the next month to be paid all right thank you [Music] and let me know if you want me to you know look up any particular vendor you know i can look up any particular vendor and find out where the bottleneck is yeah we have on may 6 and voicemail if i didn't think they'd call my house

027the kids fed act which president biden signed into law on june 25th 2022. um i know i had to email the word about the house bill 5190 that was signed into law june 16th which is now pa 105 um and amended the revised school code to add a half a credit course on personal finance which can be counted towards a half a credit of math world language or applied arts um it begins for children entering eighth grade 2023 is effective september 13 2022 said something that i'm sure curriculum is going to be coming our way that we're going to have to approve for that and then july 20th um at noon masb is hosting a free webinar i know myself ms chambliss has already registered but it's views from the capital the budget edition so
028they're going to go through and break down the school budget for this year so if anybody wants to join that's at noon on and so uh over zoom so it's done june 20th [Music] uh diversity equity and inclusion is that the one that disbanded so we can take that one off our list all righty parks and rec that would be me they have not contacted me i have not been to a meeting in a while [Music] um cal report mr welcome um yeah we had lauren here i think last month there she made a comment how she liked the thing going here at the school for help plus um school of choice trying to get registration i talked to wayne grief and he's ready to donate uh bounce houses and dump takes and all that

030office or anything that you know i've needed to centralize for any hiccups any issues with getting what i need done done everybody has been so accommodating when the subcommittee for coliseum bylaws met we have and miss kennedy got back to us right after that at the next meeting she was out of town that day so she got like within a few days we have a response from her and so i just want to say thank you so much because this is a difficult time it's in a time of uncertainty and you're not quite sure about your job how your tasks are going to look if anything's going to change your role in the district will change and none of you have left anything dropped and i just think it's it's a huge it speaks highly
031to you as an employee and as a person because you've invested in this district more than just as a career or you know a job a paycheck you've invested to keep with funding and for thousands of families in this community and kids that go to this district um thank you because you have done a phenomenal job and honestly two weeks ago i was very unsure what was going to happen in this district in these coming weeks i was very unsure of what we would look like and how we would be presenting to the community and honestly i was a little nervous and you guys have really stepped up and done a phenomenal job because even the team had you know one person failed on one thing someone's right behind to pick it up so thank
