All right. Welcome to our organizational meeting for the new year. If Mrs. Rice, you could do roll call. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Mr. Antoine is absent with notice. >> Mrs. Bonik >> here. >> Mrs. Bowman >> here. >> Mr. Boyer >> here. >> Mr. Hockey >> here. Mrs. Iikor >> here. I am here. All right, let's rise for the pledge. I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> All right. Can I have a motion to approve tonight's agenda? >> Motion by >> Second by Bowman. All in favor? >> I. >> All right. And then under our consent action is the approval of the minutes from our regular meeting that we had
back on December 15th which were emailed to you. And I know Mr. Antoine had one word verbiage changes that u were taken care of. I make a motion motion by Bick support >> seconded by Bowman. Any questions? >> Nope comments. All right. All in favor? >> I. >> All right. Moving on for the public that's watching, this is our organizational meeting. So, it's a lot of housekeeping items um to get our year started. So, I will begin with resolution number one, the election of officers. That would be the president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. Do I have a motion for that? I'd like to make a motion uh to list the following officer positions. um as president Rachel Ist, vice president Anita Bonnik, secretary Katherine Rice, and treasurer will be changing to Aaron Ber. Is
that correct? >> Okay. Do I have a second for that? >> Second. >> Okay. >> Any questions, comments? Okay. All in favor? I >> I >> Okay. >> All right. Moving on to resolution number two, approval of designation of the depository of school funds. Motion support moved by Bonik, support by Rice. Any questions? >> All right. All in favor? >> I. >> Resolution number three, the approval of authorized official district signers. >> Again, this is just protocol for the new year. Motion by Rice. >> Support by Bowman. Any questions? >> All in favor? >> I. Resolution four, approval of the 2026 regular meeting schedule. We have that draft that came out if you've had a chance to look at it. It's >> right here. >> Motion by Rice. >> Support by Bonic. Any questions? >>
All right. All in favor? >> I. >> Resolution five, approval of designation of the electronic transfer officer. >> So moved. Moved by Bonik. >> Support by Bowman. Any questions. >> Okay. All in favor? >> I. >> Resolution number six, appointment of the administrator to post public meetings. >> Motion by Rice, support by Banick. Any questions? >> Okay. All in favor? >> I I. And last resolution number seven, approval of the district legal representation resources which were the same and also listed in your packet. >> motion by Ber support by Rice. Any questions? >> All in favor? >> I >> Okay, those resolutions pass. We'll move on to communications. >> Uh no communications. Um have come through our office especially with the holiday and that but have just put this placeholder on just to kind of
set the table for subcommittees moving forward in 2026. So um as we've discussed you know the first thing is we got to get officers elected because by bylaws the president actually assigns um formalizes committee assignments. So I know um Rachel has reached out and asked you know uh and so our our goal is to you know for we got some people who are moving around inherently the treasurer has to be on the finance committee. So um that's really the only committee membership that's kind of predicated in the bylaws. Um so if we can get that together you know then we can update the the schedule. We have a draft schedule set. It follows a sim similar continuum. Worked with our cabinet leaders who run the committees. We we do go back and kind of look
at periods in time where we didn't need to have a meeting or um we could have had a meeting and the the most unpredictable one is just facilities. we get into those period of time where the bid process and that is just forcing us to have some some meetings that weren't originally on the the [snorts] schedule. Uh and those occasions where the board might ask to add a committee meeting. Um so [snorts] hopefully we can get the membership ironed out and then by the Jan no later than the January meeting we'll have um that schedule. Um, I should go back and say with the approval of the the regular meeting schedule, Antonet will push all those calendar invites out in the next couple days. So, look for those and we'll do the same once we
get the committee structure set in that. That being said, we do we would like to have a couple of of meetings for specific purpose uh in January. And um I think it's we use the existing committees for those. Um, but if if there's changes and it's known in time, so be it. Um, so would [clears throat] like to have a safety meeting January 12th. This is specifically a request for me because I'd like to go back and review the student conduct reports now that we've had a series of months of those um to kind of finalize what that's going to be moving forward. Um and um also potentially have a little bit of an update on you know we talked about the potential of kind of a hybrid SRO position. So looking for the township
and um Sergeant Petraowski to hopefully have a little bit more information on that. Um and then the policy meeting was simply the followup meeting we discussed around the personal electronic devices that we had with the admin team rep. Um so we'd like um to schedule that at some point here in in January. And these these are represented uh the safety one is the other one might not be uh on the current draft committee meeting schedule. Um so I can send invites out for these two with the current membership tomorrow. >> Okay. >> Uh and then we'll [clears throat] we'll get those agendas drafted in. And um like I said earlier to Mr. Antoine who I know was emailing about them since he couldn't be here tonight. If you guys can email me or contact me
individually and let me know your order of preferences. Um there might be some shift in subcommittees, but I think for the most part they might stay the same. But if you know if there's something that you have strong desire, please let me know that because I'd like to get that nailed down this week. And if you could also make note of the draft schedule that um a few of them are workshop dates um for the next up in the upcoming few months. So those are a little bit different. So make sure you put those on your calendar as well because I know some of you have planned vacations and things like that. So we'd like to know who's going to be out of town potentially. Um anything for superintendent report tonight? I do actually with
this [laughter] a larger audience, but I'm also thankful maybe a little bit for the the more intimate nature of this. So, we know that January is board appreciation >> um month and and you know, our regular meeting is until the end and >> we don't want to wait, you know, we want to take advantage of the entire month. So, um I've asked Antonette to help me. We have a little gift for you on behalf of our leadership team. >> And we got some other things that we'll bring later at our regular meeting. >> I can't find the >> we do all the recognizing here all year long. >> I looked at it right. >> So, thank you very goodies. [laughter] >> That's for the until the end of the month. >> Exactly. And we don't
have a >> Jennifer >> scrapbook. This is amazing. >> Thank you. Thank you. >> Oh, these are my favorite. >> Oh, there is. >> This is adorable. Thank you so much. >> I'm going to bring >> So, our our Mr. Essen probably deserves a little bit of a shout out because he does take the lead. Um, okay. I think with the help of his clerical staff on >> deciding a new Pinteresty way to put something together [laughter] for you guys. So, >> very sweet. you know, I don't a lot of people don't know how much time goes in to this role and I always like the opportunity um to mention, you know, there's some people in the community that think you get paid to do this and although some local school boards take a meeting
stipen, our board of education does not and they haven't um for even longer than I've been here. Um, so I think that, you know, just shows the true nature of community service that this is. So, um, and it it's no secret like it's just been a challenging role, you know, and I think more so in the last four or five years than maybe it's been uh in years past. So, um, I'm grateful these years where we're not having new board members come on um because consistency is like the power of the local school board. And so I probably should have made that shout out even for committee membership. I think the more consistency, you know, consistent our subcommittees can be, then over time there's like this institutional knowledge that's gained. So um so so anyways,
thank you. Uh, and we'll we'll have a few other treats for you as we get to our regular meeting the end of the month. But, uh, might see some fanfare on some of the school signs and that over the next few weeks, but uh, um, we appreciate you. We thank you. So, happy school board appreciation. >> Thank you, Dr. Robson, and thank you to all the people at the board office that put these together and ideas and creativity. We appreciate that. Uh we have no public comment and we have no regular action items. So we will move on to board discussion for the good of the district. Welcome back everybody. I know sometimes it's good to get back into a routine of a new year halfway through the school year. It's hard to believe it's
already January. So we'll be talking about lots of lots of things in the upcoming year. I'm excited for this new year. Um, I'm excited, you know, for the work of the board that we started last year. And now that we're kind of all in the groove of things and working with each other, I think it's going to be a great year ahead. Does today mark one year we were sworn in? >> Yes. Wow, that went by fast. >> It did. It went by very fast. It's been a wonderful year. I've learned a lot. I still have a lot to learn, but um, just thank you for everyone for helping and everyone who's not here who's helped us along the way. Um, I couldn't be prouder of how how we work together and everything we've accomplished
and what we have yet to accomplish. So, thank you. >> All right. Well, we again don't have any public comment for our last public comment. So, can I have [cough] a motion to adjourn? >> Motion by Ber, second by Bonnik. This might be a record for our quickest organizational meeting, but >> did anybody support that? >> Uh, yes. supported by Bonik. >> No. >> Okay. Any >> objections or comments? I object. >> Okay. All in favor? >> I. >> All right. Motion [clears throat] >> passed and meeting is adjourned at 6:14. Beautiful.
