I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Next item on the agenda is Mr. Secretary. Would you call the role, please? >> Yes. >> Anthony Johnson, >> present. Amanda Flesher, >> present. >> Lorie Hicks, absent. >> Sher Flesher, >> present. >> Misha Early, >> present. >> Daniel Winston, present. Shirley Toiver, >> present. Next item on the agenda is the approval of agenda. Are there any corrections to the agenda? I don't believe there are. The agenda will be as written. Next item on the agenda is superintendent communication. >> Thank you, Madam President. I have several communications this evening for the board of education as well as our guests that are here. Congratulations are

in order to the Pierce Middle School robotics team who placed second this weekend in a competition at University of Detroit Mercy. And many thanks are in order to teacher Eric Anderson as well as administrative assistant Miss Sher Wilson for orchestrating, organizing, chaperoning, and also to our talented young individuals of Pierce Middle School and the robotics team for placing second this weekend. So congratulations are in order to them and many thanks to Miss Wilson as well as Mr. Anderson. Uh also many thanks are in order to the Fiser Elementary School staff PTO as well as principal Cous for hosting yet another successful arts beats beats and reading event that occurred on Friday evening. It was wonderful to see many students and families there at Fiser engaging with various activities and it was also nice to have

cooperative weather on Friday night also. Um special thanks are in order to Miss Mon'nique Concaid as well as the Thirsten High School staff and Thirstston High School administration for hosting as the board knows a phenomenal honors dinner at Western Golf and Country Club where we celebrated excellence of our graduating seniors. Um we had over 20 seniors or soon to be graduates that were recognized for I think it was total of um for recognizing their excellence as they uh enter into graduation here soon in the next few weeks. So just an incredible event to recognize their excellence as we continue into the graduation season. I would also like to recognize uh Fiser Coach and as the board may recall uh Principal Cous as well as the Fiser staff when the Fiser School presented to the board

of education uh some time ago. Um, you heard about a particular math initiative and so would like to recognize Fiser coach Jennifer Butler and second grade teacher Amy Brusa along with Principal Cous as well as our own Amy Davidson who attended a statewide early mass celebration conference for the ongoing calling to better develop the adult learning to better teach mathematics. And there were 35 intermediate school districts across the state that were there at the conference. And if you recall, um, we're in the second year of that work. And Fischer's focus has been on the cognitively guided instruction, which involves students and their engaged thinking surrounding math strategies. And so the booklets that you have there in front of you were surplus copies from the organization that hosted the conference last week. And so our students

from Amy Bruska's second grade class are highlighted there. You'll notice there is a fuchsia colored sticky note there uh to note for the board where the particular section refers to South Redford, our students, uh Jennifer Butler, the coach at Fiser, as well as second grade teacher Amy Bruska. So hats off to um our staff and to our students for engaging in the cognitively guided instruction. So feel free to peruse that at your leisure. And these are your copies to keep. And that concludes my communications this evening, Madam President, and members of the board. Thank you. Next item on the agenda is board communications. Are there any? >> Well, I have one. Tomorrow, uh, Vanderberg will be having their picnic and it's from 5:30 to 7:30. Is that right? Yeah. And if it rains the next

day, which would be Wednesday, and they're ask they're going to be supplying hot dogs and drinks, but they're asking if any of the board members would like to come to bring um something according to their >> Last name. Yes. Uh, a wait I have a through I think it's H is salads. I through P is side dishes and Q through Z is dessert. And that's from >> 5 to seven. >> Yes. So, and Mrs. Hughes is looking forward to the board members come. >> Okay. >> Next item on the agenda is comments from the audience. >> There are none. Next item on the agenda is the consent agenda. Do I have a board member willing to adopt the consent agenda? >> To the chair. >> Yes. like to move the adoption of the following resolution,

please. >> Do I have a support? >> Support. >> It's been moved by Mrs. Flesher, supported by Mrs. Early. All in favor? I any nazs? Zero nays, six eyes. Resolution adopted. Next item on the agenda is report South Redford Foundation, Miss Kathy Woods. Okay. Good evening to all madame president and the board Jason. Good evening. So this will be quick. It won't be too long tonight. I'll try. So, the first thing I would like to start with is to let you know that we have well I don't know Jason sent them out yet. He hasn't yet but it's going out the applications for class enhancement grants. It's starting with the teachers for right now and then 26 27 will move move forward with like janitors, bus drivers, etc. But for right now, uh they the

teachers can do it for now. Teacher classroom enhancement grants and it will be up to $1,000 for this term. Uh the applications will they can fill them out through the summer. They will be due October 9th. They will and the ones that are approved will be delivered November no later than November 5th. One thing uh that I would like to stress uh the classroom enhancement grant guidelines uh I really if you know any teachers or anything is very important that they follow the guidelines to that grant is a very it's I won't say easy but it's simple and if they have any questions to email myself or Laura Duran which is the foundation's vice president to help them have a successful um application to send to us over the summer. That's very important. Um then

we'll move on to the poker tournament. It was very successful although we were short staffed but um I put in quite a few days myself all day. probably about three of those days. Rick Bennett and I had Brian G just came out and assisted us one day for a whole day actually. And with that, we were able to give out our 1,00 six $1,000 scholarships for Thirstston on May 28th. That's right. May 28th. We'll be giving out those. will also accompany the alumni association. They also will be giving out six $1,000 uh scholarships uh with the help of the foundation. >> All right. >> Yeah. Last but not least, I attended the MEF virtual meeting and uh we were collaborating on doing a statewide community um event. So meaning combine we we haven't established where

it would be for this first time but we're however wherever it be we are going to provide free buses to each community so that in case of lack of transportation it will be transportation where the buses are going to pick them up at. We haven't got that far yet. We just collaborated on that yesterday. Uh I'm sorry I think it was Monday. So um that's coming soon. We're working on that. We're trying to have it for September. We're actually working hard to get it done for September. All right. And that will conclude. Oh, if you have any questions or concerns for me next time. Okay. And last but not least, I have one more thing. Uh golf tournament. We did find the paperwork for golf. Now it will happen for 2026 but 2027 it will

because it's going to be very timeconuming to put that the golf event together but we are bringing it back. We do have the paperwork and um we're going to have some help from Mr. Cherry 3042. He don't know that yet. He just he look forward to it. It's coming soon. That will conclude my report for the South River Foundation tonight. >> Very good. >> Okay. Thank you so much, Mr. Wood. >> Hi, Terry. >> Next item on the agenda is the board commute committees. Now the first one is the committee to review the process of the board's annual performance evaluation and the superintendence evaluation chairperson Mrs. Earl. So, um, first the board's annual performance evaluation. I know there was some talk about maybe changing that. Um, I know we wanted to look at MASB's model.

We use Bill Weber's model, Dr. Weber's model right now. Um, so I would like for Shirley to get in contact with me if possible. >> I have I call in for Debbie Stair. >> Okay. So we can get that done possibly over the summer and do the board evaluation this year. Um the superintendent evaluation since we did one last year and he got an effective rating. We don't really have to do one this year, but Collins and Blaha has a training that we have to complete by August of 2027. I would like to do that training first before we do another evaluation for him >> to the chair. Yes, >> I think we should also look into MASB superintendent evaluation and see how they align because I not sure that BLA is the one that

we should be using now. I think um we should re-evaluate. Okay. that anybody else too thinks that we should reevaluate because you just shoot me an email saying why. So I >> I said it numerous times at the board table. >> No, I know but I'm just I need >> I will do my best. Committee to review updates for board of education policy manual chairperson. Mrs. Flesh >> that would be me. We've been working very very hard. Um Jason, Shirley, Lori, I um it's coming back information and stuff to the board on Wednesday. We have special workshop. You'll get documentation and stuff there. you'll have a pre presentation from Adam, a chance to ask any questions or concerns about any policies. So, we're aiming for, I think, to get it passed over the summer, right,

and into place so we can move on to the administrative guidelines. >> So, we're we're on par to do what we were tasked to do, >> right? if if I may remind the board since we're on that item. >> Um, so Wednesday's meeting begins at 6 o'clock. Dinner will be here as early as 5:30 and then it will be a working dinner to what Flesher just shared. And then also if the board would be so kind to bring its calendar, whatever you utilize for your calendar, because to what um Cheryl just mentioned, I know Adam will probably be wanting some dates or at least dates from um the three committee members of Cheryl, Shirley, and Lori on Wednesday so that we can continue on that rhythm that board member Cheryl just mentioned. Everybody hear that?

On Wednesday 6 o'clock, >> dinner provided. >> Yes. All righty. Committee to review the board of education orientation operations manual. This is Will kick off in June. We plan to spend the entire summer starting doing the work on that. Anything else? Representative member of Southford Foundation. That would be me. Um, I attended the champion appreciation >> brunch on was that two weeks ago? >> Yes. And I also uh attended the mental health PTO Pierce >> on Wednesday. >> Yes, that was Yes, that was Wednesday. And that was fantastic. And you want to know something? I asked when were we going to have another one? >> So that it was very interesting. The only thing is we just needed some more parents there. So, we're going to try to get the word out so we can

um get more parents out committee to orient new board member. Oh, that's we do that as a whole board. Okay. the liaison to MASB. Um, that is on hold, isn't it? >> Yes. Okay. Representatives who serve on the sex education advisory board, Miss Blesser. >> Yes, we're meeting quite frequently. A Amy's chairing that along with Elizabeth Duparin. It's a committee that is growing. They're doing fabulous work and I think we're on track to have a report back from the advisory board in June. Amy, >> so that committee is moving forward. It's growing and it's doing good things. >> Okay. Um, representative to the Wayne County Association of School Boards. Uh, that's me. We had our uh awards ceremony. Spelling H. I skipped something. >> H. Representative serve on the wellness committee. Misha page. >> Oh,

did I? Okay. What? Okay. I did. All right. Representative to serve on the wellness committee. Mrs. Early. >> Um, so we met month ago, maybe two months ago, um, with the intention to meet more. They meet they met once a year before. Um some of the food pyramid stuff has changed. Um we talked a lot extens extensively about that and what we could do um to serve better food. Um so they want to meet quarterly I think it was more so maybe beginning of the year I think October or something they said I can't remember but we we are aiming to meet more than that once a year to get better on track. You going to meet more than once a year? >> Yeah, probably quarterly. >> Okay. >> Twice a semester. Good. >> Okay,

that's good. Okay. Now, that's that's me. M Michigan Association School Board. We had our awards ceremony on April the 28th, I believe it was. Yes. >> And I received the leadership award for um MASB leadership award and um we're going to have a meeting June next month. Um, it's between the June the 11th and June the 27, but I'll let you know exactly what date that. >> Madam President, yes, if I may, it was the 30th of April. >> April 30th. Thank you. Thank you. >> I I didn't attend because I was attending. I was out of town. >> Okay. Next, um, committee to review and recommend the superintendent's compensation package. Mr. Winston, >> um, we have not done anything with that group yet because Jason is not quite ready to be compensated. We just

gave him some money not too long ago. So, um, as we get closer to a time where either we're going to do a annual evaluation or his, uh, new contract, we will start meeting to talk about if and when we're going to pay him more money or he needs to give some back. >> Oh, he going to give him some back, >> right? >> All right. Okay. That's all right. Okay. Uh, anybody have any questions about the committees? Yes. No. Okay. I'll go to the next item. Next item on the agenda is five updates. Mr. Bob. >> Thank you, Madam President. So, as the board may recall, we've had a regular rhythm and routine uh with our partners from both Barton Mallo as well as TMP Architecture as we've traveled through the course of the

past five years. when it comes to the 2021 bond improvements. And so if the board recalls uh at some point in the late fall uh or early winter, we heard from Kelly Ferguson as well as Kyra Copeland. Um again, both uh one of which Kelly from Bart Malow and then Kyra from TMP Architecture. So, um, really we're at the point where we are, uh, rounding down in terms of the or winding down in terms of what remains when we think about the 2021 bond improvements across the district. And so, here to speak with the board this evening and to present to the board the remaining upcoming attractions, um, we have partners again here from both Barton Mallo as well as TN architecture. So, we have Chris Schneider here from Barton Mallow and we also have

Kyra Copeland from TFB Architecture to talk with the board tonight about the remaining upcoming attractions primarily to take place at Thirstston High School that will begin here in just the next three weeks. And so, with that, I will turn it over to Chris and Kyra. Thanks, Jason. President, thank you for the opportunity. Uh again, I'm joined by Tara Copeland from TNT Architects. Um we're pleased to uh provide you with a preview of the Thirsten High School 2026 2027 renovation program. Um before I start, Jason and James, I'd like to know where you guys get your cool socks. I didn't even miss the memo. So, I'm sure in your um in your agenda packet this evening, you have a short presentation that um we put together. Kyra, myself, always support Jason and James uh and the

team. And I'd like to um highlight a few things for you. Um and Kyra will keep me in check with some of the details which you've already done. So with that, is someone interact? Is someone Oh, you're going to give that to me. All right. Good luck. Thank you. All right. I'm going to flip right right along here. So again, this is um this is bid package 14 of the bond. Um, how many bid packs are there total? We put you on the spot. >> 14. >> Well, how about tech? >> Well, I mean, we have some. >> She's cheating. >> There are 14 14 major bid packages, which thirst renovation is number 14. >> Um, preview highlights of the program for the next two summers. Um, and they're in no specific order, but the

first item on the list is a significant um item for us to accomplish. The upgrade of classroom HVAC equipment. If you're familiar with um an individual classroom, on the exterior wall, there is a singular unit ventilator. It provides a single point of source for heating and cooling for the room. The improvement will be replacing that unit with a vertical uh ventilation unit which is then tied into new duck work which will evenly spread and broadcast the heating and cooling for the students and staff in each of the classrooms making it a much more comfortable environment. Um that will happen in just about every classroom. Um I think there may be one or two >> 800 okay thank you. um >> that is a significant piece uh of our program. Um and as you'll see here

in just a second, we're going to split it up into two phases. Uh painting throughout the building. We've already begun some what we call pull ahead work and painting is one of them. I've got some photos to show you. Uh flooring replacement in the hallway. So, we will we will eliminate the um the flooring that's there today and we're going to upgrade it with a new LBT uh flooring throughout the building. Media center architectural enhancements flooring, some case work, restroom refresh, neutral partitions and accessories, plumbing fixtures, tile flooring and paint um in most of the bathrooms throughout the facility. Uh furniture installation as well. There's an upgrade to a classroom furniture plant for this project. Data infrastructure upgrades. Um all of the this category 6E for Wedi detail. Um wire that that broadcasts um all

of the data that we push on a daily basis throughout the space. Um that's being upgraded and actually most of that work um from a installation of wire has already begun. um is probably 98% complete. Um that's part of our second shift which I happen to be working this evening as well. Also entertaining you guys. Um so the crew you you periodically see some some individuals at H High Viz, you know, uh those are our second shift workers. Um also installation new security cameras. We're upgrading that system. Uh much of that is already in place as well. And then lastly, but not least, it's and it's not the only thing that's uh or the final thing that I guess it's on the list, I should say, is upgrading building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing controls. Um

again, that's a big improvement from the old uh technology, and we're upgrading that tech. Um where one, it's more userfriendly, it's easier to use, easier to control. Uh and hopefully we'll get provide as that first bullet point a more comfortable environment for for students and staff. All right, back to the controller. All right, as I indicated, this this program is going to be split into two phases. Um, the blue is the summer of 2026 and the pink is uh 2027. Um, and primarily the purpose of that is there are two heating and cooling, plumbing, piping loops in the building. Um, so we're going to take advantage of that and we're not going to bite off more than we can chew. Um, so we're going to take it and and and basically split it up into

two summers. The blue classrooms um this summer, pink um into uh 2027. Um while I'm on this, if you follow the hallways, they're not highlighted here, but all the hallway work will be done in 2026. Uh we're going to try to get as much of the restrooms done as well in 2026. Um that way when we get to 2027 we're just working in the classrooms uh upgrading the unit beds and uh if there are any I think the furniture is this summer as well. There's no 2027 furniture this summer and 26. >> Um work in progress. As I mentioned we've uh begun the process of painting. Um so you see the 800 block. It's kind of the connector between 600 and and leading towards the uh mechanical shop. Uh the convector covers been painted, the

walls have been painted, there's a striping that you'll start to see a theme of that. Middle picture is one of the restrooms and then some of the tech. Um you see one of the new TVs um and a security camera. That's an upgrade of the security system as well. And then additionally what you don't see in photo u as I mentioned all of the duct work that's above the ceiling that supports or is part of the HBAC system off the new vertical unit. Most of that work is done. We did that as a head we started earlier in the year. Um the control wiring is in process getting control wiring ready for um plug and play come this summer. So, we're going to take some of the environment out of the space um while we

again up upgrade the system and equipment. And then lastly, I mentioned previously the data cable um has been run through the building. Um in this particular space, for example, they're they're in the process of now just testing connectivity um of what they what they have run. So, with plug and play, you guys don't have any interruption um in service. Um, one of the focal points or features um, at student entrance door number two is a new uh, walk-off mat that will feature the thirst and tea and a thirst eagle. Um, the picture on the right is your current condition. Um, I'm sure we're we're going to get tired of dealing with the walk-off mats and summer and winter and everything else and the cleaning and so forth. Um, and Kyra can help me with this,

but Mannington will produce um a basically it's one piece or it won't be one piece, but it'll be seamless, multiple pieces seamlessly put together um to accent the thirst tea and eagle at entrance number two. That's the picture, the rendering that that you see on the left. So, as students, staff, community walk in the door, they see the tea and on the right, upper right hand corner, um, they'll see the eagle as well. That's going to be a pretty neat piece. >> What kind of material is that? >> That's carpet. >> Okay. >> It's a in this particular case, it's a it's a heavier duty, more of a walk-off style carpet. >> Okay. And that's the same carpet that's being used at all of the schools as that walkoff mat. >> Okay. >> Yes. >>

Thank you. >> Uh and then lastly, financial update. I'm not going to go through this in great detail. Uh still trending in the u a positive manner of 996,000 in the good at this point across all the impact issues we've had um over multiple years that we've been in the in the district. and we certainly appreciate the opportunity. Uh, any questions? That concludes. Sir Ky, you want to add anything? Okay. >> Um, you got a couple questions. >> You got it. To the chair. >> Yes. >> Uh, you said you're replacing installing new cameras. Would that be in replacing old cameras or >> Yeah, most of the cameras that were existing >> are going to be replaced. Yes. >> You said most of them. So, the ones that are not being replaced, they will be

able to be able to uh connect into the existing system. >> Yes. And I don't believe there's actually too many of them that are actually not being replaced. >> I think it's just a couple on the list. >> And the Hback system, you said that not every classroom will get the vertical. >> Yeah, there are a couple that actually get a a horizontal that gets replaced. >> Okay. I think it again I think it's one or two >> and then in the 800 those were the newer units so those newer verticals are remaining. >> Okay >> that was my question >> right so so those faces would be the ones that are not getting new ones to what Chris and Kyra are sharing were done in the 800 900 wing that's over by the media

production space the art classroom Um those spaces were all done in about 2008ish during the uh district's previous bond work and so they're not quite ready yet. Um we still have some life in those spaces just quite yet. So, um, hence those areas will not be getting the upgraded ones because there's a fair amount of life left on those existing units from, uh, the district's previous bond work. So, >> thank you for the questions. >> Any other questions? >> Thank you. >> Very good. Next, next item on the agenda is consider 2026 2027 RISA preliminary budget. Thank you, Madam President. During the regular board meeting on May the 11th, 2026, the board discussed the Wayne County Resella preliminary budget for the 2627 school year. Section 380.624 of the revised school code requires that each constituent

school board of Wayne Resa that it participates in Wayne Brie's budgetary development process. Not later than June 1st of each year, each local school board must review the proposed budget, adopt a board resolution expressing its support for or disapproval of the proposed budget and submit to the Wayne County Resub board any specific objections and proposed changes to the constituent district board recommend that is recommend uh that it recommends on its budget. The Wayne Resa board is then obligated to consider these specific objections and/or proposed changes. Members of the board of education and then president, a resolution is attached for board consideration. >> Do I have a board member willing to adopt the resolution? >> Mr. Chair, >> yes. >> Congressman, >> Mr. two different ones. So I think you have to specify which one >>

support. >> Okay. Therefore, be it resolved that the one county visa general fund operating budget for the 2026 2027 school year be supported and that the secretary of the board is hereby directed to submit a copy of this resolution to the secretary of the Wayne County Resa Board of Education along with comments or Wayne Resa general fund operating budget for the 2026 school year be disapproved for reason attached hereto and that the secretary of the board is hereby direct directed to submit a copy of this resolution to the secretary of the Wayne sub board of education while it was already >> so we have to choose which one so are we supporting or we're not supporting >> supporting support. >> You're supporting that we that the board agrees with the budget or we're supporting that

we don't. >> So, we approving or disapprove. >> We are approving. >> Okay. I want to make sure Mr. Johnson understands what he's saying. >> Okay. >> Thank you, sir. >> It's been supported. It's been adopted by Mr. Johnson. Do I have a support? >> Support. >> It's been supported by Mr. Winston. >> All in favor? >> I. >> Six eyes's zero nazs. Resolution adopted. Next item on the agenda. consider amendment to general appropriations for the 2025 2026 school year. Mr. >> Thank you, Madam President. At this time, I'm going to turn it over to our director of finance, Mickey Borie, to present to the board this evening three different budgetary items. Uh again, to remind the board that there is a resolution for agenda item number 13. So, even though it's embedded within uh

tonight's presentation of all three topics, um may I remind the board that the board um is encouraged to take action on agenda item number 13 before we continue to progress through um the remainder of Mickey's presentation this evening on agenda items 13, 14, and 15. Good evening, madam present and board. Um, you have in front of you the uh fiscal year 2526 final budget uh amendment here. Um I want to start with um our year in review and I want to highlight some of the things uh from this year. Um fiscal year um 26 brought us a year of uncertainties with the state budget not being passed until October 3rd. Um despite this, South Redford negotiated an extended increases to all of its staff. South Redford was an anomaly and had an increase in students

where most districts saw a decline. Uh we received grant and successfully ran a summer discovery pro program the summer of 2025. We installed new preschool playgrounds um for um all of our um our preschools, adopted new high school math and middle school science curriculum. We implemented I Ready benchmark assessment and pathways for K through 8. And South also received its MS4 permit, which is the municipal separate storm sewer system, which was um a pretty heavy load um trying to make sure that we get that process done and accomplished um by the end of January and was successful and got that permit. With that, I just wanted to share some of the pictures that uh we have out actually on our Facebook page of our wonderful staff, students, programs, and everything in here that you can

enjoy. So, on to our revenue. Um there was a net increase um of revenue of 3 million, just over $3 million from the original budget. Um this uh the increase in that amount uh pertains local, state, federal, and county uh revenues. So, and some of those increases uh involved the property tax levy increase. Um obviously the summer discovery program that was not known of when um putting this together, how much would we were going to receive. And then of course I have to highlight especially after our honors dinner uh the other night our CTE revenue through donations that we get for CTE and the nest. Um I say um about the honors dinner because it was great to hear all of these students um excelling and graduating with um certifications and honors through our CTA

program. Um some of the um increases we saw was the increase in student enrollment by 154 students. Um again an anomaly from uh the districts surrounding our area. Foundation allowance the increase was to $10,50. Um we saw increases in 31A at risk money. um and we saw an increase in our GS GSRP funds that came across due to um verified enrollment. So we uh projected uh a budget and we received more funds due to that verified enrollment that we we got from that program. And then of course we we all know about the 27L came through late uh late in the uh 2025 year and that was the educator compensation program that was just that was just uh over half million. Move on to um federal revenue. Of course we saw an increase of $759,000.

Um this was due mainly to uh increases in uh title funding that we saw come across. Um and then we did see um a a decrease due to elimination of categoricals. We saw that with the passing of the budget in October that u many of the categoricals were eliminated that um fall that come through uh RHSA and um our ISD. So here we have um our expenses. The net increase of expenses was just over $1.3 million um from our original budget. Uh with that, we did actually see um from the original a decrease um due to early retirement um the early retirement in in incentives and um having open positions that we did not fill immediately that were not known at the original budget time. Again, with the fact that we have to do these

budgets before even the state passes their budget, uh we see that um some of these things fall out and uh we don't know of them until then. Obviously, moving right along, um the increase in support services and other um categories, um a total of an increase of $2.3 million. Um some of those things we are still funding our CTE program um we um while we're getting donations from that um and some grant funding that has not we have to have those programs in place for uh for 3 years prior to uh being able to get additional funds. So at that point uh for the 2526 year we still have been uh seeing that cost coming across uh coming through for the CTE program. We also saw increases in operations and maintenance. Um we have old

buildings. We have great bond work being done but we still have old buildings. The bond work is not going to take care of everything. So we do have repair costs that we are having to handle. as well as we all know we kind of had tough winter. Um so we did uh see some increases in like the operations and and maintenance. Um so final we come down um we projected that we were going to actually decrease and see our fund uh percent go down to approximately 8.12. Um and instead we're seeing that actually we're going to be uh more at 9.5 and um that's staying steady as you can see with the final audited statements uh from last year. Um it's looking like we're we're staying pretty steady. Um this shows what efforts that we've

taken to um take advantage of any any funding that we have or making sure that our expenses that that that we're trying to uh eliminate un unneeded expenses and doing whatever we can to save here in the district. Um so that would that would be the final budget amendment for 2526. At this time, um, I will break. I kind of included it as a full presentation, but I will take a moment because you do need to vote on the on this. >> And again, there is a resolution for consideration. Do I have a board member willing to adopt the resolution >> to the chair? >> Yes. >> Like to move the adoption of the following resolution, please. >> Do I have a support? Support. >> It's been moved by Mrs. Flesher and supported by Amanda

Flusher. All in favor? I >> I zero maze. Resolution adopted. >> I will continue on. This is the fun part. We get to move on to um next year. We get to move on to our future. What do we have coming coming ahead? What will 27 bring us? Um we are actually projecting that the school year will bring an additional additional 200 students. Uh that's exciting. Um again last year we saw that uh we we saw an increase. We are projecting that we will see an additional 200 students this year. Um an increase to the foundation allowance of $200 which would bring it to 10,250 per student. Um, I will tell you that this was completed and we're hoping that the governor's budget comes comes through because they're even projecting possibly a little bit more

um which would be obviously great um for us. We are working to add an additional GSRP classroom. We we do have it approved. Um we had the space already set. Um, so, uh, we are working on that additional GSRP classroom. Again, that, uh, will bring us students in as preschoolers and hopefully take them all the way through, um, through high school. Um, CTE, I've mentioned CTE when it came to uh, 25 26, but 26 27 will finally bring us those Perkins funds. So, our programs have been established and they are in place. We, as I said, we are seeing our students uh graduate with their um with certifications and uh uh all this great stuff from our programs, but we'll now be able to get those federal funds. Um adop we adopted the new uh

elementary ELA curriculum that will be coming out. You guys all voted on that. Um and then also grant opportunity. We are looking at grant opportunities in various areas um including operations. Uh most recently we submitted for a 12e grant that hopefully we are hoping we get approval for that which will allow us to do some roofing repairs that are are much needed that were not included in our bond projects. So with that what we are seeing is our revenues going up to 63 million 63.2 and projecting that the expenses will be approximately 6 61.5 leading us to that fund uh fund percent fund balance percent of 11.37. Um so hopefully we are will see going from uh 9.5 to 11.37. um again and that's not knowing what we will be able to obtain through various

grants and Perkins funds and hopefully uh all of that will come through for us as well and give us a even better out. >> All right with that what kind of questions do you have? >> Are there any questions? Thank you so much. >> Next is in front of you. You guys will have the L 4029 which is our millage rates. So on here it will show us the um our operating syncing and our our debt. Um, this is a requirement that we need to submit to the city um each year. Um, I'm not really sure what other information you would like or have questions about, but let me know. Are there any Good job. >> And with that, that concludes number 13, 14 or 15. >> All right. >> Yes. >> Thank you so

much. Well, is looking good. We are >> moving up. >> We're moving up. >> Yes. All right. >> And like I said, I'm I'm we're hoping that um some of the other stuff will come through for us. Um we're working we're working hard to see what other grants are out there that can help us um across the board. Uh whether it be curriculum or operational or whatever it may be that will not only help us, our buildings, but our students. Very good. Thank you so much. Okay. Next item on the agenda is consider owners representative agreement. >> Thank you, Madam President. At the regular meeting on May the 11th, 2026, I recommended to the board that it consider entering into a new contract with our owner's representative to align with the remaining scope of the

0502021 bond work that we also heard accentuated tonight earlier in our agenda. and I am recommending that the district continue its partnership with Lico Planners LLC as the district's owner's representative for the remainder of the 2021 bond project um which um the newly proposed agreement would begin on July 1st, 2026 and span the time frame through December 31st, when we believe that the 2021 bond work will conclude and there is a resolution attached for consideration. Madam President, members of the board, >> do I have a board member willing to adopt the resolution? The chair? >> Yes. >> Like to move the adoption of the following resolution, please. Do I have a support? >> Support. >> It's been moved by Mrs. Flesher and supported by Mr. Winston. >> All in favor? >> Six eyes's. Any nays?

Zero nazs. Resolution adopted. Next item on the agenda, comments from the audience, topics not related to the agenda. >> We have none. >> There are none. Next item on the agenda, plus delta plan for improvement, Mrs. Davis. >> Good evening, Madam President, and the board processes help the board's work this evening. Plus >> to the chair. >> Yes. I just have a comment and I want to thank you to Mickey and her team. Um, she brought some really good news to the board, you know, budget and looking forward moving forward. I think we're on the right path. So, I want to thank you for all your work. I know it's been really, really crazy the last few weeks and then we're going to turn around and go into an audit and stuff pretty soon. So,

thank thank you because without your dedication and your team's work, you know, you you're making us look good tonight. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Any other comments? Um, I just want to say I just want to piggyback on what Mrs. Flesher was saying, Mickey, you're doing a great job. And you want to know something? It's just fantastic because we are really moving ahead. And I like to hear that. >> Thank you. >> And president, uh, opportunities for improvement or work would help the board in the future. Are there any? Just doesn't look like there are. All righty. Well, if there's nothing further that comes before this board, I adjourn >> 7:27 >> at 7:27.
