001It's 5:00 and I would like to call this meeting to order. And um can we all rise? And since this is your last meeting, Dr. Reynolds, will you lead us in the pledge of allegiance, please? I pledge algiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for it stands. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. May I have roll call, please? Mrs. Christensen, here. Mr. Pantara, here. Mrs. Greenberg, here. Dr. Lim here. Miss Wani here. Thank you. Next on the agenda is approval of agenda. Dr. Reynolds. Thank you, President Greenberg, cabinet, rest of the governing board, and all the guests here. Items approved by consent will not come up for discussion during the meeting, but will it be approved when the agenda is adopted?
002This is possible since members of the governing board received the agenda along with backup materials at least 24 hours prior to the meeting and have had time to review and consider all items. Prior to the agenda being adopted, members of the governing board may ask that an item be removed from the consent agenda and brought to the floor for discussion at the appropriate place on the agenda. Any member of the audience who submitted a blue public card, public comment card prior to the start of the meeting will be recognized to speak on that agenda item under items for approval. I would like President Greenberg, I would like to offer the agenda as posted without item F5, consent item F5. Thank you, Dr. Reynolds. Prior to the meeting, we received no blue public comment cards. So,
003at this point, no one in the audience wants to remove anything. Does any member of the governing board wish to have an item removed from the consent agenda? Mrs. Christensen, item F6. F6. Okay. Anybody else? Anything else? Okay. F6 will move to the end of G so it becomes G5. All right. Uh Mrs. Christensen, may I please have a motion to approve the meeting agenda and recommended consent agenda items? So moved. All those in favor, please say I. I. I. Any oppose? Say nay. Any abstensions? Motion passes unanimously. Next on the agenda is governing board statements. Anybody want to go first? Let's just skip statements this time. Nothing notable happening. I'm just kidding. Um I'll go and I I actually I don't usually do this, but I did actually write them down so I stay
004on track and make sure I say what I really want to say. Um, so as many of you know, we are um saying we're saying see you later and we'll miss you to um Dr. Reynolds and to our wonderful board secretary uh Deian Chisman. And so, um, Dian, I've known you for a long time, but I've only been able to work with you in the capacity as a board member for a short period of time. But within that period of time, um, it is apparent, so apparent, I mean, it was apparent to me when I was a parent and very apparent to me as a board member that you truly are the glue. Um, you're the glue and you're the guide and you're the compass and, um, just so incredibly grateful for the service that
005you have provided to this entire community. Um, and you do it with such joy and kindness and a very like also witty sense of humor that I also really appreciate. So, um, I know you're just going to live the next best chapter and, um, know you can always come and say hi and we'll be here welcoming you with open arms. So, just I have so much gratitude for for you and for what you bring um, to this district. So, thank you so much, Dr. Reynolds. Um, so you've been here a year and only again part of that time I've had the, you know, uh, joy of being able to serve with you and so grateful again just to come in with the two of them and and be able to learn, uh, through two individuals
006that have such experience and passion. Um, and you know, you you were you came in this year, but but you've been a PV, you know, um, inspired, you know, deeprooted into this district for many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many years. And, um, I truly feel that you were the bridge that, um, this district didn't know we needed, or maybe we did, some of us did maybe know we needed. Um, and you've brought calm and clarity and connection every every single day that you've been here. Um, and you make it look easy, which is wonderful and and you know, also kind of challenging, right? Um, because you do you make it look easy. So, thank you for leading with your heart and thank you for, you know, really honestly leaving this district
007better than you found it. And we're going to miss you very, very much. But also, I know where to find him. So does Ann. Uh and so just so much gratitude and just wish you so much happiness and joy with your beautiful family uh and all the beautiful things that are coming um in your future and in your kids' future and for you and Mara. Thank you, Mrs. Christensen. Good evening, everyone. It feels like afternoon because it's so hot, but welcome on this nice warm summer day. Um, I just want to um let the the families of Pey know that I wish them a safe and happy summer break and hopefully that um we will see you all returning next year with smiling faces ready to go in August. Um, I Deian, I I was
008trying to stall because I didn't want to get emotional, but I just um yeah, you you've really helped me during this process, and I've been on the board going into my third year, and um you just have always been very professional and consistent and just so loving and kind to everybody. And so I just appreciate your professionalism and just always going above and beyond. And I know everybody's heard my story about you doing copying a whole board meeting because my device wasn't working the night before. And so just things like that just you're just such a wonderful person and kind and always very professional. So just want to say thank you. And um Dr. for Reynolds as um we we had chatted before. I I was the skeptical one with you coming in because everybody
009talked like you walked on water and I was like, "No, I I only know two people that walked on water. One was Jesus and Peter and I didn't think you were either one of them." So, so I was skeptical. We had a great one-on-one um right out of the gate and um rapidfired my questions. And so I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your cander and you know we don't always agree. The board doesn't always agree, but I feel that the relationship with you was um had improved. I'll just leave it at that. It was a better relationship than I've had in the past with with past superintendent. And so I just wanted to say thank you and um you will be missed and we appreciate the fact that u we
010were in a difficult situation prior to we're trying to um look do a superintendent search and an opportunity came up and and this was a was as um Miss Swanie stated it was a good bridge to get us to a better point. And so I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mr. Panta. Well, thank you, President Greenberg. Um, of course, I'm going to reiterate what my colleague said about your service here, Dr. Reynolds. Let's just say that I know you took up the PV torch and you carried it proudly. You did not stumble and you kept that culture and you kept that uh uh way of thinking around here alive. And I'm very very much appreciative of that of of most of the things. I'd like to also say
011something about what I did since the last board meeting. Can I go that time to do that? Um since the last board meeting, I attended the Arizona School Board Association's, you know, summer leadership retreat. One of the things that happened there, they had a 5K, not a 5K, a fun run. And um it was great. Uh I had a great t-shirt. It's got Perry the Pine Cone on it. I'd show it to you, but my granddaughter decided to look better on her than me and so she liberated her and she has an out home. That's Matilda. Matilda, keep it clean. Uh don't get laundered regularly. Uh that that's not why I went though. The thing was that leadership like what Dr. Reynolds has uh demonstrated throughout his tenure here that year and even when he
012was working for our district as a principal and such is what we always try to do better and better and better. I've been did my third workshop of this leadership conference and every time I go there's something new. You meet other teachers, other leaders in different districts throughout the state and they have some of the same problems we have and they're dealing with them differently. You know, retaining staff, lower uh student attendance, that kind of thing. Um everything misinformation, all these same topics that we're dealing with, they're dealing with. And I come came back with a lot of new ideas. I'm looking forward to at the next retreat and whenever I can to share those ideas with uh cabinet and the rest of you here. And again, thank you Dr. Reynolds. That kind of leadership
013is what we you inspire us to do and and strive to be better with. So, thank you. Thank you, Mr. Panta, Dr. Lim. All right. So, I'm going to follow the trend um obviously. Um so, I want to take a moment. Uh as everyone knows, I went to school in this district. Um, but I went to some pretty special schools with teachers and leaders that stayed at their schools for a very long time. Some of them just retired this year. Um, so they had deeply committed roots to the schools they were at and were passionate about the students that came through their halls. Um, so all my engagement up until joining the board was at a kind of a local school level, whether it was my schools I went to or the ones my kids
014went to. And when I started at the leadership level and really got to know uh, Dr. Reynolds and Deian. It was a clear demonstration of both of them about how committed they are to Pavey as a district and every single student that is here. Deion has been nothing but a pillar of supporting me. My youngest, who is just one of many kids at this school, has gone through a whirlwind of health concerns with two open heart surgeries just this spring. And Deian has been nothing but patient and supportive and constantly asking how she is before she asked me to respond to the 20 emails I have not responded to. Uh so she has been kind and patient and always concerned about one of the littlest learners here in PV and how she's doing and you
015know where she's going and how she's feeling. So thank you Deianne for constantly being patient responding to my very late emails and always asking how Gwen is doing and how her sister's doing. I truly appreciate everything you do and your commitment to PV is is demonstrated through those little acts of kindness you've sent my way. Um, for Jason, I just I want to say thank you for demonstrating at the leadership level that the commitment to PV is carried all the way up through this district. I think when you're at the local level, you sometimes question whether leadership sees things the same way you do at the school level. Um, and obviously I know many people at the school level. Thank you for demonstrating that you wholeheartedly believe in PV and coming in in an intram
016year and doing more than was really required of you as an intram superintendent. You did amazing work here in just one year and truly believed in every single one of our schools and every single student and staff and teacher present on those campuses. I appreciate you being a constant pillar of support and standing beside our district in such a way. It was one year. We will truly miss your presence, but we will feel it as a lasting impression here in PB. So, thank you. Thank you, Dr. Lim. Um, I've got some things to say, and as everybody knows, I prepared them because I don't I don't do good with impromptu. Um, so Deianne, when people talk about the power behind the throne or the person who makes all the trains run on time or any
017other, you know, countless idioms to describe the people who know it and do it all, they and we are absolutely talking about you. Um, there is a reason that so many accolades have been said about you and every single one of them is true and deserved. You make us all look not just good but knowledgeable which is no small feat because that really applies to our district as a whole. And you do this while calming down I rate callers juggling dozen of details about a trillion things at once in your head and smiling through it all. I don't know what it's going to feel like when you are no longer here after working with you for so long. But I do know that you and Mike are going to enjoy your retirement and your grandchildren
018to the fullest as you should. And it was it is with deep appreciation and love that I say thank you. Jason, I'm really really glad that you took my call those many months ago because I know this is not exactly what you had planned for your retirement. But I am truly grateful that your love of PV and public education led you back to this district and this office. In the years since you've returned, you've been such a beacon for both. Such a role model for all of us and such a joy to work with. You came back understanding that we were still working through changes that were redefining pieces of PB and education. And your leadership has gotten us to such an amazing place once again. I've been incredibly spoiled by working with many superintendents
019who embody what it means to be a leader of a school district focused on students and teachers, focused on family, focused on the future. And you are one of those people, as I always knew you were and would be. I did not want to say goodbye six years ago, and I don't want to do it now. So, please don't lose my number as you threatened to do at all admin last summer because I can't imagine not being able to continue the conversations that have been so incredible this year. I want to thank Mara and Bailey and Declan because I know this wasn't what you guys had planned for this year either. And I want to thank you for all you have done for me and for Pey, my friend. And I know you look forward
020to your re-retirement and your final year as a parent in the district. Thank you. So, next on our agendas, there are no awards and recognitions this evening is superintendent comments. Dr. Reynolds. Thank you, President Greenberg, governing board, cabinet, and guests. In PB schools, we engage, inspire, and nurture students through highquality instruction, meaningful educational opportunities, and dynamic learning experiences. One of those opportunities is our collaboration with Paradise Valley Community College through the VIP College Corps. Each year, Paradise Valley Community College proudly bestows the Beth Konaman Community Impact Award upon remarkable individuals who significantly enrich the greater Paradise Valley area through transformative community efforts. This year, our very own Marishia Gered, volunteer specialist, received the prestigious award recognizing her exceptional work in promoting student success, community collaboration, and educator development through the volunteer and paradise core program
021in PB schools. So, congratulations and thank you for your hard work and dedication to the VIP program. I want to extend a huge congratulations to our marketing and communications department. For the third consecutive year, they've received state and national recognition for their outstanding work. This year, their honors span multiple categories, including podcasting, photography, video, newsletter communication, social media campaigns, and special purpose publications. Beyond these accolades, the team was invited to speak at several professional conferences and development center sessions, solidifying their reputation as leaders in school PR. Their concern continued excellence truly upholds our long-standing history of achievement. So, congratulations to our team. Okay. So, as my time as superintendent ends, I want to express my deepest gratitude for making this year so very special. Serving this district has been my honor. It is amazing to
022think, but PB Schools has been my second home as a teacher, an administrator, and a parent for over 25 years. I am so proud to say that I am the first superintendent albeit interim that as best as anyone can remember uh that was also a teacher in our district. I will miss the students, staff and families and I'm grateful for your enthusiasm, support and encouragement over the years. I want to thank my wife Mara who is here tonight and my children Bailey and Declan for agreeing to take this journey with me. You are the foundation of everything that I am and I love you all so much. It is not easy being the family of a public school superintendent and your patience and your love and your kindness are just incredible. So, thank you. I
023also want to thank Mrs. Chisman and her husband Mike who is also here this evening as tonight is as you heard uh their last governing board meeting as well. Deianne, thank you for staying one more year and for being by my side and making me look good, but also for your 29 years in PV and everything you have meant to the students, staff, parents, and this governing board. Your expertise is second to none and your leadership will be greatly missed. I truly could not and would not have accepted this challenge without you and it is an honor to retire on the same day. I want to say thank you to the cabinet for your support and for accepting me as your superintendent. Your passion and your expertise expertise is amazing. So, thank you for helping
024to lead our district and for being wonderful representatives of public education. I want to say thank you to Miss Wanie and Dr. Lim for accepting the challenge of helping to lead this district. Choosing to run for a public school governing board is courageous and commendable, but serving is truly a commitment and we are a better district because you are here. Mrs. Christensen, Mr. Panta, President Greenberg. Thank you for bringing me here. We have worked hard this year to keep our focus on creating a safe, engaging, and rigorous learning environment for all of our students and ensuring that every student, staff member, parent, and community member is known, valued, cared for, and challenged. When you asked me to come back, I was fairly certain that I knew what the mission was and that I could have
025a positive impact on this place. But what I didn't know is how much of an impact this place was going to have on me once again. I am truly blessed to have had this opportunity to work with you all extraordinary people one more time and I am so lucky to end my educational career sitting in this seat alongside all of you in this district. This district that I truly truly love. President Greenberg, for the last time that concludes my comments for this evening. And now we actually have a meeting to go through. Uh next, excuse me, on the agenda are items for approval. So first is public hearing for truth and taxation, notice of this will calm us right down. Notice of tax increase and public hearing for fiscal year 2026 school district annual budget
026and expenditure of insurance proceeds followed by consideration and approval of the fiscal year 2026 state of Arizona school district annual budget expenditure of insurance proceeds. Mrs. Brian, thank you. Thank you. I think President Greenberg, Dr. Reynolds and governing board. I'm always so placed so poorly within the agenda. So, all right. Um, wipe your tears, my friends. Time for the budget. Okay. This is just a repeat of the presentation from the June 5th meeting. So, I, as promised, I'm going to go through it rather quickly, but obviously feel free to ask any questions and pause at any time. Uh, this is our budget adoption. You will note there are no changes from the budget um proposal to budget adoption. and we are not allowed to make any changes between budget proposal and budget adoption. Uh as
027a reminder from some of the highlights, the aggregate expenditure limit for fiscal year 26 has not been addressed yet for the budget, but there is some um promising movement in that direction. Uh just as a reminder as well, from fiscal years 22 through 25, if the aggregate expenditure limit had not been overridden, we would have missed out on $5.1 billion in public education. Uh and then there is not currently in the budget a free and reduced uh price lunch weight or district additional assistance the additional amount for next year's but the uh Senate and governor's budget does include those components in there. So there actually is you know some potential for some additional funding if that comes to fruition that will be shown on the December budget revision. Keep your fingers crossed for that. Uh
028just with the revenue assumptions as a reminder, average daily membership is always estimated a little bit higher for the budget adoption and proposal to ensure we don't lose out on any budget capacity for the M override. There is a base level support increase uh as usual this year at 2%. Uh our auditor general forms don't include the line for Prop 123, the additional funding that hasn't been uh settled again as well in the budget. I expect there'll be a line added to that for the December budget revision. And then we do have an increase in classroom site fund of $50 per weighted student count for next year. In terms of some of the expenditure factors, I won't go through all of these again, but these were the salaries and benefit uh increases really in all
029cases that we were able to make for each of our bargaining groups moving into next year. Then these were the additional expenditure factors that were discussed all throughout the winter and spring time frame including minimum wage adjustments, inflation costs of goods and services, utility cost increase, the ASRS decrease, and then the medical inc medical medical cost increase that was covered by a balance that we have in medical prepay. The next few slides just uh summarize the total budgets for each of the various areas. This includes our basic what we call the operating expenditure budget which includes uh maintenance and operation our largest fund which is uh calculated essentially by that base level amount that we talked about and our ADM our average daily membership. These are our capital fund expenditures moving into uh fiscal year
03026 federal and state grants. As a reminder, we'll see that federal grant coming down because we no longer have SR3 funding for fiscal year 26. and then our debt service and a combination of really all of our our other funds that are summarized on page six of the budget. And I think the most important part about the tax rate is that it's going down. So I'll get to the bottom line there that everybody cares about. Tax rate is expected to go down by a little over 41 cents. And then moving on to truth and taxation for that hearing that has to happen. I talked about truth and taxation last time. We are required to do that if we have any changes to uh various components within our budget. One for us being the adjacent ways
031uh portion of our budget and that levy for next year will be $1,75,000. But just as a reminder, our total budget is just under half a billion, $483 million. So it's a very small component, not even a quarter of a percent of our total budget. We do have that legal requirement and it requires us to publish this uh truth and taxation notice in a newspaper of general circulation which was published on June 5th. Then holding the public hearing which we are doing this evening with a roll call vote of the board. Um and then we notify the property tax oversight commission of the hearing and the vote after that is complete. This is just a copy of the truth and taxation notice as it read in the paper. And as a reminder, the on the
032assessed value of a home of $100,000, uh that increase shows on there as an increase from 0 cents, which is what it was back in 19 the 1990s when this started, to $2.23. But as a reminder, our the year we're currently in, fiscal year 25, the adjacent waist tax was $4.36 per $100,000 of assessed value. So, our uh adjacent ways amount for this year is actually a decrease of a little over $212 or what would equate to 18 per month less on a $100,000 home. And one final reminder on uh the adjacent ways that can be used for improving any public way adjacent to a parcel of the district. So, sidewalks, sewers, utility lines, fire lanes, and um fire lanes is generally what we use that for as well as safe ingress and egress into
033schools. Our adjacent waste projects coming up our removal, replacement and/or sealing of asphalt at Campobello, Greyhawk, Wildfire, Sweetwater, and our support services building uh up on 32nd Street just north of the 101. And then our Indian penn rebuild to include fire lane as well as safe ingress and egress to the school. And one final reminder on our transparency and accountability. This comes from our one pager that we created a couple of years uh back to just discuss the differences between districts, charters and private school all of whom receive public funds. Um we have a great deal of transparency and accountability that is required of us and we are happy to have that transparency and accountability. It is public funds and we believe that we should be open and transparent with our community. And with that
034I'm happy to answer any questions. Thank you Mrs. Barrian. Mrs. Christensen, may I please have a motion to approve the fiscal year 2026 school district annual budget and expenditure of insurance proceeds as presented? So moved. Does any board member have any questions or comments? Mrs. Christensen? Yes. Um the adjacent ways projected projects where we talk about the asphalt. Can you explain why you explained it last year, but just for our public? Because I I know that I'm going to get calls. Why are they pulling up the whole um parking lot at XYZ place? And then rather than just sealing it, can you explain that process because we do get complaints, at least I have in the past. Yes, Mrs. Christensen, thank you for the question. Just to note, the top there says, uh, can we
035get that? Can I get the slides back up? Because I actually forget the specifics of what it says, but sometimes we just seal and recover the lot, but sometimes we do also replace the asphalt, too. Um, so I don't remember the specifics of each of these ones, which one are being removed versus replaced, um, or just sealed. Um, Dr. Davis is here. I don't know if he'll remember, but effectively we look and see the level of cracking, the level and amount of repairs that we've done over the years, the level of flooding that happens, what other potential expenditures may be caused if we don't completely pull it out and replace it. Um, and in in um in driveways in the areas, the parking areas that we have it, there are some areas that wear quicker
036just due to turn radius and things of that nature. Dr. Mr. Davis, do you want to add anything to that? We did. Oh, thanks. Sometimes I listen. So, we we try to repair always rather than because because the way it was worded remove, replace, and or seal asphalt. So, not all of these are going to be removed. Not all of them are going to be removed or completely replaced. Some will be sealed and and just touched up. That's correct. Okay. And then this one wasn't a question, but it just caught caught me offguard because um it's correct on the slide, but I just wanted to mention that um on the aggregate expenditure limit you said that we would have missed out in 5.1 billion dollar and I I thought that's not in our bet. But
037I know that it says that you didn't say statewide. You said we would have missed and but it was correct on the slide. So I just wanted to Yes. throw that up there statewide and my apologies. I thought I said that. Yeah, I kind of perked up and I'm like, okay. I'm like, wait a minute. Okay, thank you. Thank you. Does anybody else have any questions or comments? Seeing none, may I have a roll call vote, please? Mrs. Christensen, I. Mr. Pantara, I. Mrs. Greenberg I Dr. Lim I Miss Wani I The motion passes unanimously. Thank you Mrs. Brian. Next on the agenda is consideration approval of re resolution number 576 in IGA between Arizona assessment collaborative and PBUSD. Miss Copen President Greenber governing board. Tonight we seek board's approval to join the Arizona Assessment
038Collaborative ASAC for the 2526 school year. Our director of assessment, Jessica Harrington, is enthusiastic about joining this partnership as it will significantly enhance our district's assessment and professional development efforts. Uh, joining the collaborative will allow PD schools to collaborate with many other public school districts. Uh, we will gain access to highquality standards aligned assessments such as practice AELA tests. Um, we will receive valuable data uh tools to help inform our instruction. The agreement also provides targeted professional development opportunities such as state accountability workshops and complimentary registration for up to four staff to attend the Arizona assessment conference. Uh we believe this with ASAC will be a significant asset to our district directly contributing to improved instruction decisionmaking ability and student outcomes. We request your approval and I'm happy to answer any questions. Thank you Miss
039Cop and Mrs. Christensen. May I please have a motion to approve resolution number 576, intergovernmental agreement between Azac and Paradise Valley Unified School District as presented? So moved. Does anybody have any questions or comments regarding this item? Okay, seeing none, all those in favor, please say I. I. I. Any oppose say nay. Any abstensions? Motion passes unanimously. Thank you. Uh, next on the agenda is consideration approval of resolution number 577, a memorandum of understanding between Arizona State University and Paradise Valley Unified School District for school year 202526. Dr. Corson. Good evening, President Greenberg, members of the governing board, Dr. Reynolds, cabinet, and guests. This memorandum of agreements supports a new career and technical education engineering partnership between Pinnacle High School and Arizona State University, providing students with a pathway to earn admission into an engineering
040program and an associate of arts degree with ASU. Through this collaboration, students who complete PV school's courses alongside ASU's universal learner online engineering courses over four years in high school will be eligible for ASU's academic credit and potential entry into ASU. While this specific CTE program is with Pinnacle High School, this agreement allows us to expand this partnership to other high schools in the district with additional career pathways, further broadening access to highquality CTE opportunities. Just as a note, we also maintain strong partnerships with Maricopa Community Colleges and the University of Arizona. This new collaboration with ASU continues to expand the range of opportunities available to PB students, supporting both college and career readiness across the district. This particular agreement outlines the operational framework for ASU's universal learning program, including roles and responsibilities for PB
041schools, participating schools, and ASU. It details enrollment procedures, credit eligibility, financial terms, data privacy, compliance, and promotional guidelines. This agreement has been reviewed and approved by our legal council and we do recommend approval this evening and I'm happy to answer any of your questions. Thank you, Dr. Corson. Um, Mrs. Christensen, may I please have a motion to approve resolution number 577, a memorandum of understanding between ASU and PBUSD for the school year 202526 as presented. So moved. Does any board member have any questions or Miss Wani saw you first? Uh, thank you for that. Um, I just have a question around um just like the invoicing piece, like how does how does that work? I know with like the Maricopa County um like dual credit, right? Like it's kind of you you set up the
042portal and it's very confusing, but you eventually get through that and then you lose your password like 20 times. Maybe that's just me and you can't get in. But then eventually and you pay directly, right, to like through Maricopa County um college. Is is that a similar it because I I couldn't it didn't seem like that's the same thing, right? Uh they provide that well they do provide that provision for us to work through our district. However, in this particular partnership, students will pay directly to ASU for uh for the credits that they wish to take. And so it's a it's a similar it's a d so students that decide they want to do this and parents are on board they basically will sign up through the portal through ASU pay the fees directly and
043is it like per credit is it um per class Miss it is based on a a tuition per credit but each course is approximately three credits and so they pay that tuition. Okay. And do we do you have an idea of what what that cost is or do we does it range depending on the course or um it does not range per course but uh currently um students under their universal learning agreement have an option to take a course actually for a nominal fee of like $25. If the students wish to transcript that course because they're pleased with the grade they earn in the course then they pay the regular ASU tuition. Okay. So that's okay. So that's wonderful. So, in order for them to take the course, have the experience, it's $25. They do
044great, they do well, they want to apply it for college credit, then they pay the remaining whatever that amount is directly to ASU. That's correct, Miss Swanie. Thank you. You're welcome. Does anybody else have any Dr. Limb? So, um, programs like this obviously set us as a district apart from maybe other high schools that are offering this. Can you go into detail kind of are there other districts or other schools in our, you know, our sphere of schools that districts we think about uh ours against that have similar programs or is this something that's going to be unique to, you know, North Phoenix due to us taking on this in Pinnacle? Uh Dr. Lim, there are several districts that currently work with ASU through this program. Mesa comes to my mind, for example, is one
045district that has partnered with them just recently. There are other districts that are interested in that but have not yet partnered with it. We are one of the early adopters of this partnership. Great. Thank you. You're welcome. So, anybody do Mr. Panta? Yes. I'm a great fan of these kind of programs. Any kind of partnership with our district is great. A lot of more partnerships, especially if they're local, more local than ASU, um are great. They they knit us together with the community that much tighter. And this is CTE is already strong in our district and this is just going to make it even more stronger. Sounds like a great great thing. Thank Mrs. Christensen. Since they um potentially would be getting college credit, these are the same type of classes that they would be
046if taking at ASU or is it um geared toward high school? So I I'm thinking about academic rigor here. So, Miss Christensen, the courses that the students take through the ASU academic learning platform are in fact ASU engineering courses that are college level uh that students would be earning college credit for and are taught by ASU instructors. Thank you for bringing this to our district. We've um a lot of parents have been requesting they want more academic rigor for especially their engineering bound students. So, um, hopefully we can expand it out to the remaining high schools eventually. Absolutely. Thank you. So, I have a question. So if a student, you know, decides to do this and they like their grade and they pay and they get their ASU credit, are those credits transferable if they
047go elsewhere beyond ASU for college or is that as I assume anything like AP credits and things that's going to be at the discretion of the college they attend? Uh yes, President Greenberg, it is going to be the discretion of other universities to determine whether or not they want to accept uh ASU's version of the course. There are many partnerships obviously between in-state universities. When you begin to expand beyond uh to out of state universities, it does become questionable in the discretion of the college or university, which would be the same for like any ASU course. It's not just this one, but that's correct. Okay. Thank you. and and thank you for bringing this. It's I you know what everybody else said I think the more we can offer and the stronger and the more
048rigorous I think is you know spectacular for our students. Does anybody else have any of the comments or questions? Seeing none, all those in favor please say I. I. Any oppose say nay. Any abstensions? Motion passes unanimously. Next on the agenda is acceptance of gifts and donations. I would like to review a few. At uh Liberty Elementary, Scottsdale Charles gave $5,000 as an education grant at Palamino Primary General Dentistry for Kids uh provided $1,500 for student programs and classroom resources. And one that I find just amazing at Roadrunner Cheyenne Traditional School National Junior Honor Society presented the school with $2500 for the site discretionary fund. Um, thank you to all of the donors. If any of you are here in the room, uh, your generosity is much appreciated. Um, Mrs. Christensen, may I have a
049motion to accept gifts and donations, please? So moved. Does any board member wish to make any comments, questions? Seeing none, all those in favor, please say I. I. I. All those opposed say nay. Any abstensions. Motion passes unanimously. Uh, next on the agenda is the item that was removed from the consent agenda. So, this was former F6, now G5. That was consideration approval of a new memorandum of understanding to the PVEA bargaining agreement between PVEA and PBUSD for the school year. Dr. Holmes, do you have a you want a a question for Dr. Holmes? Yeah. Do we have to make a motion first? Well, yeah. So, I I thought maybe I mean, is there any presentation you'd like to No, we've uh as presented, we recommend approval of theou between PVA and PVUSD. Okay. Mrs.
050Christensen, may I have a motion to approve what what we just talked about? So, moved. Great. Any board member have any comments or questions? Mrs. Christensen? Yeah. Um, thank you. Uh I was just trying to understand how um because the the detail that we got as board members um it just confused me a little bit with um let me let me see if I can find it. I apologize. Um so so the purpose is we are having a hard time hiring instructional aid and it's and it's been challenging in recent years my understanding and this is a way to hire them in different position. It was confusing the way it was worded to me. So I just wanted some clarification on the purpose and the scope and all of that. It it has been more
051challenging uh the past several years co since co especially to hire instructional aids we've been running pretty consistently around a 30% vacancy rate uh and one of the things that we see at the district level as an opportunity we have have we see the opportunity to be able to uh be more effective in recruiting and hiring uh instructional aids directly and helping place them around the district. Uh but we have uh language in our bargaining agreement that talks about teachers having um uh being a part of that process. And the way that's always looked is that they've been part of the interview process. So what this effectively proposes to do is is to is to allow us to uh do some of that work at the district level and then work with sites to to
052find good matches. That's effectively what we're looking to do. Okay. Yeah. I think what confused me was um the way it was worded higher instructional aid to be placed in vacancies AC across the district. So I wasn't sure if that was only instructional aid vacancies or Okay, that's correct. That's what I was It's specific to instructional assistants because it Yeah. To me when when I read it the first time I thought are they doing dual roles or are they getting paid to be instructional aids and also teaching in other vacancies? It it sounded like a fill-in type thing. So, I just wanted to make sure that I understood what it's specific to instructional assistance. I mean, they they also could pick up additional hours at the school for campus assistant and such, but what this
053is really about is is is instructional assistance? Okay. And then last question, are they um are instructional aids certified educators like if we did have or are they just they're more helpers, right? I just wanted Yeah, they assist teachers. They um they work directly with students primarily in special education settings. They are not certified teachers, but they frequently are recruited to go on and and get their certification and we do have a number of teachers who started out as instructional assistants. Thank you. Yep. Does anybody else have any questions or Mr. Panta? So, it's an MOA, right? So, it's not going to be permanent part of the bargaining agreement. There might be a time when we correct when it's easy to hire people. We could go back to to this is for this year. This
054is for this year only. It may be something that we address in bargaining next year. We'll see. All right. Thank you. Anybody else have any other questions or comments? Seeing none, all those in favor, please say I. I. I. Any oppose say nay. Any abstensions? Motion passes unanimously. Thank you. Next on the agenda is called to the public. So, I'd ask that you please turn your attention to the video monitors. Call to the public is about to convene. This portion of today's meeting allows the public the opportunity to address the governing board. Although state law does not require that the governing board hold a call to the public, the Paradise Valley Unified School District and its board have chosen to do so because we believe it's important to hear about concerns and issues from our
055community. While call to the public is not designed to be a discussion, the board is here to listen. Due to Arizona opening law, the governing board cannot respond to, discuss, or take any action on items brought up during this time. However, staff members may be directed to get back to you and address individual concerns. As a reminder, the point of this and every board meeting is to accomplish the business at hand and to be able to do so in an open and collaborative way. All in attendance are expected to observe meeting rules as well as rules of politeness and decorum so that we may serve as an example to our students that issues can be discussed in a respectful and civil manner. [Music] Thank you. Tonight we have two people who have submitted comment cards
056prior to the start of the meeting. So each speaker will have three minutes for remarks. As a reminder, we ask that you please direct your comments to the board with some background music. Um, please state your first and last name when you come to the podium. Our first speaker is Jennifer Arza and our next will be Heather Schmidt. Hi, my name is Jennifer Riza and I stand here tonight as a concerned parent in the Paradise Valley School District and I appreciate the opportunity to speak. First, I also want to thank Dr. Reynolds for your interim service. We really appreciate it and to Deianne for your years of service as board secretary. Uh we appreciate both of you. Second, I want to thank each of the board members uh for all the time that you put
057into your positions because I know it's a lot. I also want to thank you for your professionalism and how you present and conduct yourselves in these board meetings. It's really appreciated by your community. Tonight, I stand here as a concerned parent in the Paradise Valley School District and I do appreciate the opportunity to speak. My concern as a parent in the district is the education and welfare of our students. As I stand here today, I want to advise you that pornography should not be allowed in our schools. I am hopeful that this will be the school board that stands with our community to get all of our pornographic material out of the schools and not add any additional material in the coming years. Our community is concerned about the increasing sexualization of our students, particularly
058as it's being pushed to lower and lower grades. I'm curious if any of our board members have researched the effects of pornography on children. I'm continually bombarded with messages about the mental health of our students. So, I have to ask each of you, do you think sexualized pornographic material is helping the mental health of our students or for that matter our teachers? Because pornography is used to train and desensitize people and increase demand for human trafficking. I don't know if you've known anyone who's been a victim of human trafficking, but Arizona is home to the largest human sex trafficking recovery program, and we are taking elementary age children into this exact program. I just want to highlight this for the board and ask each of you to consider if increasing the sexualization of material is
059helping to protect our students. And if anybody has checked the libraries recently, do you know how many books we have in our district that have pornographic material? Because I checked today and we still have 60 books. What if Paradise Valley was uh known for putting an end to pornographic material? I think you would really stand out in the community if you did take a stance against it. Each person in our community that I talk to and I tell them what I speak about at our school board is adamantly surprised. They're like, "How is that even happening in our schools today?" And I said, "Exactly. This is why I'm coming and I'm speaking and I'm personally asking each of you to look into it." So, I would encourage you to give this serious thought as you
060continue to review material to approve in this coming school year and any future years that you serve. Thank you. Next is Heather Schmidt. Good evening, President Greenberg, Dr. Reynolds, governing board, cabinet. I didn't even prepare remarks tonight. My name is Heather Schmidt, and I'm proud to serve as the president of the Paradise Valley Education Association. On behalf of the certified group, I would like to thank Dr. Reynolds for your year of service. This particular year, I'm speaking of um coming in as a first year new president this year. Um it was I I just remember our first meeting back in the fall. Um both of us sitting there new in our roles and I appreciate the kindness and friendship that you showed me and I wish you all of the best in your retirement. I
061hope that uh whatever your thing is whether it's fishing or sports, whatever. I think it's fishing. I'm not really sure. All of the above. All of the above. All of the things. I hope that you and your family get to enjoy a amazing July together and many more months and years of enjoyable retirement ahead of you. And Miss Chisman, I'm not leaving you out either. Um, again, as a first year president moving into this role, um, you have been a massive support to me. Um, when I have weird questions or don't know who to ask, if it's not you, it's Darlene. But I appreciate all that you have done over the past years and again also wish you which I assume listen I don't picture you as a fisher woman but you know whatever floats
062your boat um I and I know you'll be around some this fall but wishing you all of the best in your official retirement in just a few days. Thank you both for all that you have done to support the employees of this district so we can do our best to support the students of this district. Thank you. Next on the agenda, we have items for discussion and this is a presentation of the Indian Bend rebuild. We get an update. Mrs. Beran. Thank you, President Greenberg, governing board and Dr. Reynolds. Uh I will actually be turning this over to our architects at Orcut Winslow for presentation. Um this is one of the most exciting things I get to be involved in at this point in time and um we are going to have them speak tonight
063about the collaborative process that we've undergone uh to date at this point. And so in front of you you have uh first Matt Lee from Chase building team who's the building team you've approved to rebuild Indian Bend and then Sarvin. Sarinon has a last name, but much like Sher or Madonna or Prince, he doesn't need to use a last name. He is just Sarinon. So, uh, without further ado, Sarinon, please take us through the presentation. Uh, with that setup, good evening everybody. Um, President Greenberg, members of the governing board, that would be useful. Dr. Reynolds, cabinet members, guests, thank you so much for this opportunity to be in front of you today on a special day. Congratulations, Dr. Reynolds and Miss Chisman, uh, on your well-earned, I'm sure, retirement. And, uh, on this day, we're
064super excited to be here to give you a really quick update on the process that we're undertaking with your amazing community, I might add, um, uh, for the rebuild of Indian Bed. So, we're going to quickly go through a few slides just to just uh just walk you through the beautiful process that we're underway that is underway uh that is going to result in a great uh project. So, real quick introduction uh we're with GHC Orchid Winslow. Uh we're uh an architecture firm that's been in practice for nearly 60 years. uh been fortunate to have worked on a number of fantastic projects with communities such as yourselves really creating grounded solutions with community input amplifying a community's voice in the solutions that they're very proud of. So we're now super excited to be a part
065of this process and just want to quick introduction to the team. I'm Saran Bala. I do have a last name. Um but it's cool to go by just one name but uh um you know so like share but Saran Bala I'm I'm I'm so proud to be here and we have an incredible team that that I'm standing on the shoulders of uh and the project is actually led by Casey Josephs who is in the audience who is a proud PV parent of two littles that go to fireside. Uh and so so this is a incredible opportunity for us specifically with Casey leading this and uh so we just wanted to just give you an high level overview of where we are with this and as I mentioned this has been a a community-led process and
066so this complicated diagram that you see essentially represents uh this um process where us as a team has been working with a steering committee that is uh very aly I might add representing Indian event that includes staff, uh, parents, educators, administrators obviously, and students. And so, we're bridging those disconnects in any process. There is, as a design team, we're beginning to understand what your community needs, and your community obviously knows your school the best. So, we're really bridging those two ideas and developing some strong concepts. And we just want to illustrate what that process has been today. So, as an overall schedule, we're tracking towards an open for the project. uh next year towards the end of the year. Uh and so we're still pretty early in the process, but as I mentioned, this has
067been a very community-engaged uh uh effort where it started with a a conversation with the teachers that really focused on your larger goals as a school district. Uh because any school building uh that we design, we try to focus on the idea that a school is not just a building. It's it's a it's a it's a it's a community. It's a series of behaviors that you're investing in your students. So, how do we focus this design as part of that investment? So, start starting with the strategic planning uh engaging your your steering committee that is part of this process in uh developing uh solutions that can really guide this process design process. So, asking some questions in a live polling mechanism and engaging in um live discussion and creating some priorities. Uh we call those
068priorities memorable goals and your steering committee has developed some fantastic memorable goals through this process which are three broad areas which we think really embodies uh the not just the history of Indian band but really laying the groundwork for an incredible future that has to do with collaboration without friction. There's a lot of friction that happens as older schools develop. So how do we remove those frictions so uh the school community can thrive uh connecting to nature and wellness there's a lot of assets in the current Indianben school how do we leverage that how do we amplify that that has been a goal that's come through this and then this whole idea of exploration you talked a little bit about your partnerships with ASU uh having the idea that uh those sorts of explorative ideas
069reinforcing career skills at an early age so the school that we're resigning uh with the help from the steering committee is helping develop the the types of environments that can provide the types of experiences for students to be successful in high school and beyond. So the process uh has involved looking at the size of the school. We're obviously building for current capacity but also building in growth. So when that growth inevitably comes when you design this uh when you open this amazing facility right on Thunderbird with the visibility that it has, you will see growth. So the school is designed to uh provide uh additional capacity than what it has currently but also provide some innovative spaces that can really help uh educators offer innovative programming so students can be uh set up for success
070in their lives. uh and using the program validation process uh we actually engaged in a sharet where the steering committee reviewed some ideas as to how the school can be organized on site and in that same meeting we looked at a couple of different organizational ideas that can build on some of the major values you're trying to accomplish as part of this process. uh and they provided valuable feedback that our team is right now uh uh internalizing and creating viable and enduring solutions around uh and some of the commentary that was provided were beginning to embrace and giving us giving it a little bit more shape and we also in that same meeting had a lot of students uh that provided valuable feedback on what types of environments actually resonate with students the ultimate stakeholders.
071So they they provided uh great feedback. We actually had some dots with some smiley faces on them that they walked around and and and placed on several image types um that again can really provide that uh grounding that we're looking for uh that we're designing these schools for our children at the end of the day. And as part of this process, we've also been to several schools that are similar in in scope and scale uh just to get um ideas going uh not just schools that are uh uh in the neighborhood, but we've even gone a far as far as Buckeye in some cases to to look at ideas for the new Indian Bend and we're in the process of developing all of these ideas into a design solution which we will be coming back
072to the board at some point in the future probably early in the fall uh when there is an ask uh from our friends at Chase as to how to make the construction process rolling and at the time we'll have better visuals close an actual building to look at. So, um, part of this process obviously has been to continue to be communicative and transparent with the school community. So, one of the events that Casey attended with several of our staff is the community picnic and this is something that is going to be ongoing as since the students are being offsite, how much connectivity can we provide to them in their new environments uh as as Indianb design evolves and definitely when the construction evolves. So I know this was a lot that I spoke really quickly.
073Uh I'm happy to take some questions, but this is just a highle overview of the process we've undertaken so far. Thank you. Does any member of the board have any questions? I see Miss Wanie shaking her head. Miss Wanie, thank you for that. And I love the visuals and um it's awesome to see like the pictures from the steering committee and the work that is being done. Like that's awesome. Thanks for sharing that with us. Um I and you may be able to answer these questions or maybe Dr. Davis from like the PP perspective. I'm just always curious. So how did the word get out to the community of Indian Bend and and the opportunity to participate? Like how was that information shared and and and teachers, community members, students like how were they sort
074of invited and identified to participate in the community meetings? Miss Swanie, uh Dr. Lindsay has been Dr. Yes, intimately involved in this process. Thank you. Thank you for the question, Miss Wanie. Um, so we had a lot of opportunities to connect with the community and that really ran through the school and our principal um, principal Marcy and she we um, sent out invitations to be on the steering committee that went to all of the staff. Um, that also went to the parent organization and she also invited a few um, key community members that have been really engaged with the school. Um and then she worked with the teachers to identify students to participate. And so anyone that was um we sent out those invitations was welcome to be a part of the steering committee and
075those that came. Um we also did a couple of tours as you saw from the pictures. And so, um, and then she's been regularly updating the Indian Ben families about, you know, just the fact that we're going to be moving temporarily to a new location and, you know, and and our partners have been attending some events and so just that those visuals um have been another way that we've been able to communicate. Thank you. And it looks like there's quite a bit of involvement from the photos anyway. Um, okay. And so then I'm whoever can answer this I'm so I'm curious and and a lot of the you know the white board and the note you know the PV that's the PV way right here the right here this right um can can you share
076a little bit about like some of the feedback you've gotten from the community that's already sort of informed and shaped the work and like ideas yeah so the feedback has been uh positive in several ways um so Indian Bend is is 53 54 years old. Uh and as schools evolve over time um there are certain things that organically happen that begin to impede the original vision and innovative learning and effective learning. So some of the challenges the current Indianben campus has uh is this lack of visibility to Thunderbird uh having some of the play areas right uh alongside Thunderbird and having a level of disconnect between buildings because of how it's evolved over time uh and in a way some of that outdoor connectivity is also considered a value at the same time. So, uh
077if you if you remember those three um goals, memorable goals that came up, uh it really is directly correlated to the uh uh the polling results and then we develop those live polling results and get the steering committee to discuss those results and see if there's any kind of themes or patterns that come out of it. So those three uh major memorable goals that are giving shape honestly to how we imagine the environments providing and meeting those goals comes directly from the conversations and those boards the PVA boards and then thank you for that and then um so I see so there's site concept one site concept two where's site concept three is in development well um those not revealed yet those two concepts were what we brought to the table originally during in the
078conversation. Uh at the risk of um uh um complimenting my my my team leader here, uh we have side concept 45 that and that's just part of the process. Uh and the reality is as designers, we want to iterate as much as possible to bring ultimate value to our clients. And so the process of editing out those two concepts seem to provide the maximum value. So we brought those two to the community. And the the reality is as they're talking about these ideas, they will be focusing on I like this portion of this concept and this portion of this concept. And in actuality that is what has happened. Uh they've liked a few elements about one idea. Uh and a few other elements about another idea. And now the new idea, the final solution that
079is going to be part of this process is building on the strengths of both these ideas plus the other 43 ideas we didn't get to the meeting with. Okay, got it. So, okay. So, because I see right where they mapped out what they liked about each concept and so there were many concepts and they pulled from and we see in in our notes, right? One, two, and three. Thank you. Right. That's wonderful and I'm excited to continue to see how it evolves and um appreciate you making time to come here and be present and walk us through all of this. Thank you, Mrs. Christensen. Yes, thank you for this information. Under concept one, there was list listed safety concerns. What came up under safety concerns from the community members? Well, the typical safety concerns would
080be um some of the uh I think one of the concepts had a building that was a little further away from the main building. So, um, typically when there is a a building that is separated, you're going to have a fence. And so, if we can use the buildings themselves as the security perimeter, that would be preferred. Uh, and so u even though these are not really designs is they're just placements on a site in terms of the size and ultimate uh number and shape of uh spaces. uh the idea that you don't want to have uh large open spaces exposing the school to adjacent streets. Uh and obviously fencing is an option, but that should be kind of the last option if we can help help do that. So that's an example of a
081a safety concern. So are you saying that there's not going to be fencing around this? There will be, but um fencing between buildings versus between buildings. Okay. I I was a little bit concerned there. I thought it was just open open. Okay, great. Um, my next question um is for Dr. Lindsay regarding the the parents and h how how were they chosen? Did did you you you had alluded to some were selected, some were and they special invitations were sent out. How did how did that work? Um, Principal Kristner reached out to the parent teacher organization and she worked with them directly and then had sent out some information to the school community through her newsletter also about our steering committee and the process. And then there's um a couple of community members that are
082not parents that have been actively involved and so she reached out to them to see if they would like to participate as community members within this the neighborhood. Okay, great. And I know that Indian Ben has a really large Latino population and I was wondering if um concessions were made and assistance for anybody that wanted to come that didn't speak English if they had trans translators. Was that thought of? Uh well, as far as when the the um information went out to the community, the written communication goes out and translate in translation. So um if that was a need we would have accommodated that and um based on my participation in the meetings we didn't seem to need that but we would have definitely um provided that service if needed. Thank you Mr. Pant Mr.
083Pantara I'm just curious because the city of Phoenix has a park next next door right there. Are there any communications about collaboration or things have to go between the city and and and this process? Yes, we we've had a a factf finding meeting with the city um and that has given us some guidance on some of the partnerships potentially. Um so as we continue to evolve the design, that partnership is going to get tighter and and if there is any opportunities to leverage assets from the school side uh with the park, I think that would definitely be uh the process going forward. Dr. Lim. So, these questions might not be to you. They might be Dr. Davis. Um, but thinking anecdotally, um, I was around when, uh, Desert Cove got rebuilt and I I keenly
084remember custodians going from other schools to get the equipment from that building because there was no plan in place to remove the equipment from that building back when Desert Cove was rebuilt and the building was being demolished with equipment inside of it. So, I'm just more thinking logistically. Do we have measures in place now that we've rebuilt multiple schools in this district to take either material that's within the buildings or any of the equipment that's outside the building that might be still usable for schools that aren't being rebuilt um to improve equipment that may be seeing the end of its life in other spaces in this district. So, this is unique in that we are moving from Indian Band to what did we decide to call Indian Band on Nisbet. Indian Bend on Nisbet. Yeah.
085All right. Um, and so we're going to need a lot of those resources, all right, to support our students as they make that move and they're in that space, uh, until Indian Band is is ready to go. Yeah. So, I think that makes sense for the inside. I think I'm also thinking about logistically the outside. I've raised the same question with James Peely and the new equipment that was put in there for the playground. Like I know logistically it costs money to move them, but as someone who's I was in environmental wildlife action group in high school. People can tell you about me being very particular about us needing to recycle at Shadow Mountain and getting a recycle bin set up at Shadow Mountain because we needed recycling. Um just wanting to be cognizant of
086material that can be used and repurposed, finding homes elsewhere in our very large district. Yeah, sure. Our team is very focused on reusing, right? using the resources that we have and so um if that is possible and if there is a need uh then we'll definitely uh look to to do that. Mrs. Christensen, thank you. Um, I brought up this question the last time when we did the initial and um, I'm sure that it has it is in the planning, but how are we going to protect the community from when we during the demolition process with some of the old materials that we that may be there still in in these older buildings of 50 plus years and that's been Yeah, that I can speak to it. Yeah. So, so fortunately, you know, as uh,
087Dr. Dr. Reynolds mentioned, we're moving the kids into another campus. So, obviously, the kids will be um away from everything. We will fence everything off. Um we're working diligently with Dr. Davis and his team um really looking at um asbestous in the building. Um really making sure we're doing our due diligence on the front end um to make sure everybody's safe, nothing, nobody's going to get harmed. Um and really do our due diligence. So, um yeah. Okay. Thank you. No, we're very fortunate, right, to to have a team that has done this many many times and so uh we appreciate their their due diligence in that area. Thank you. Yeah, and I I do like the name Indian Ben ones. It reminds me of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood back in the day. So, I like the
088name. Thank you. I don't actually have any questions. I just want to thank you both or thank you all for the presentation. Um, incredibly excited. I guess Mr. Lee, I was going to ask if you had anything to add, but you just did, so I won't I won't put you under this, you know, microscope. Um, just no, I'm just I'm thrilled that we are moving forward the way we are. I'm excited having been through, you know, not our last rebuild, but our last build at Sky Crossing and how involved the community was there and and everything that that you know, all the very careful steps we took. It's so well reflected here as well. And I just, you know, appreciate that our community is so involved as we as we start and continue the process.
089So, and President Greenberg, it's just this is one of those projects where it's such a joy to be able to in in one year uh be part of this and be part of this recommendation and to be able to do this for this community. So, Dr. Lindsay, you can keep my number and when uh and we're we're ready to uh to ribbon cut, let me know cuz I'd love to walk through and see the amazing work that's going to be done for these these students and the staff, the whole community. So, thank you very much. Appreciate it. So before we adjourn, I would like to remind you that the next regular board meeting will be held on Thursday, August 7th, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. So Mrs. Christensen, may I have a motion to adjurnn, please?
090So moved. All those in favor, does anybody have any last anything? All those in All those in favor, please say I. I. All those opposed say nay. Motion passes unanimously. We are adjourned.
