Otherwise, Exeter defeated Windham, New Hampshire, Concord, Salem, Chelmsford, Mass, and Nashua, North. Their goals against, the Blue Hawks very impressive, scoring 93 goals in six games. That's an average of 15.5 per game, while only giving up 21 goals, or 3.5 per game. Bedford not quite at that level, but very close. Goals for with 90 over six games, allowing just 27. It's Tommy Graves for the Blue Hawks waiting for the whistle to resume play. Looks like the officials counting bodies, making sure they have enough uh players out there. It is Dax Becker, by the way, in box. So, Exeter playing with a man advantage. Behind X, Graves passes it up high. And save there on the shot by Gibney by Kahn. Now, Bedford with the ball. Back to Kahn. Trevor Abendroth now gets it to Will Frangiello, number seven. >> [cheering and applause] >> Pass up ahead to Matthews, out of bounds. Turnover on the Bulldogs, who lead 1-0, and Exeter back on the attack. Becker

008still in the box. Here's a shot. Stopped by Kahn. Tommy Graves with that heater. But, Kahn trades it to his stick, able to pick it up in the crease, and now Bedford long pass out there to Dursel. Being triple-teamed, he takes a blow. And the coach for Bedford Steve Goudreau decides to call a timeout before anything happens. So, Bedford will retain possession here with 8:19 to go in the first quarter. They've got the 1-0 lead thanks to a goal by Dax Becker set up by Kobe Rubin. 010Nico Thomas over the center stripe. >> [cheering] >> Into the Bedford zone. Wilhelm Now to Graves behind X. Up to Kerrigan. Gennard with it. Gibney has it for Exeter. Back now to Graves. Now Wilhelm flips it back to Graves. Graves gets it up high and a goal. >> [cheering] >> Griffin Gennard ties it up at 6:39 of the first quarter. So we're going to call that a goal by Gennard with an assist from Graves and score is 1-1. Back to the face-off circle. Skerrett takes this one. And Blue Hawks come up with the ball. They lose it momentarily. On on they're going

011to be uh >> [cheering] >> officials call here for a push from behind, so Exeter will retain control. Gidney now into the Bedford zone. Finds Graves behind X. That's Hoff. Fires a shot at a sharp angle and scores. >> [cheering] >> Blue Hawks up 2-1. So, Sean Hoff with the goal. Unassisted. Giving the Blue Hawks the lead at 2-1. Hoff with a blistering shot at a bit of an angle there, fooled Kahn. Gets the goal for the Blue Hawks. Ball on the ground. Rolls to Bedford. Rubin >> [cheering] >> takes a blow, loses the ball out of bounds. And we'll see what the officials say. No, they're going to say that it was knocked away by Exeter, so Matthews will pick up ball, one of the many balls they leave scattered along the sideline. And

012he brings the ball back into play, gets to DeBecker up high. DeBecker being watched by Scaritt. DeBecker still being there, guarded by Scaritt. Now, Matthews drives, fires, and scores. >> [cheering] >> All tied at 2 >> [applause] >> at 5:34. Matthews with great shot there. Beats Wilbur. And we'll give the assist to DeBecker. All tied up at two with 5:34 to go here in the first. Now Jaden Yang back in the circle against Dylan Riccio. This time Riccio wins the face-off. Bedford controls, gets it to Ruben, that goes too far, but Matthews backs him up. Matthews takes it behind X. Waits for his teammates to catch up. Pass up to Becker. Becker being harassed. Cameron Knowles getting his stick on him. Becker pulls way back, waits for Durso to join him. Durso tried to get

013it over to number 33, Drew Pascalis, it went off his stick out of bounds, turnover Bedford. Blue Hawks take over at the 5-minute mark of the first. All tied at two. Nico Thomas with the ball for Exeter. Pass it over to Loranger. Loranger over to center strike. Spins. Trying to get away from Jacoby DeJesus there. And we get a timeout called. Timeout Blue Hawks. While we've got a moment here, let's recap the scoring. Things started off with Dax Becker's goal assisted by Ruben at 10:58, giving the Bulldogs a one-nothing lead. Then 6:39 was Genard from Graves, 1-1 was the score. And just about 34 seconds later, Shawn Hoff scoring unassisted to give Exeter lead momentarily 2-1. And then at 5:35, just 30 seconds after 40 seconds after that goal, it was uh Bennett Matthews from

014Dax [snorts] Becker. And that made it 2-2. And that's where we are right now. These are two of the top teams in Division 1, both coming in with a record of 5 and 1. Both playing a very strong schedule including teams from out of state, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and Maine. Both teams undefeated against New Hampshire competition. Teams return to the field and play will resume here with 4:35 to go here in the first quarter. Wilhelm to Graves behind X. Now Kerrigan back up high to Genard, one of our goal scorers. Genard playing keep-away trying to get things set up here. Graves to Gibney, 11. Back to Gibney. Graves coming out from behind X. Now he centers. The late shot there by Kerrigan. Wide of the goal, backed up by Exeter. They retain. Graves gets

015it to Gidney. Gidney gets it back. Pass down to Graves. Centering pass to Genard. Genard to Gidney. Kerrigan get gets it back behind X. Ball goes out of bounds. Off of a Bedford defender. Exeter retains possession here with 3:12 to go here in the first. Gidney. Passes it off, gets it back. Griffin Genard, number 10. Directing traffic. Finds Genard. Along goal line extended to Graves. Wilhelm. Wilhelm spins. Now it gets to Gidney. The Genard to Graves. Center. Intercepted by the Bulldogs. Backhand pass to advance the ball. Well done over center line. >> [cheering] >> Matthews almost comes up with it. Now almost does, then he gets checked off. And a foul is called. The collision there will put Gidney in the penalty box. So, Bedford will have the player advantage here with 2:17 to go

016here in the first quarter, all tied up at two apiece. And play resumes. Matthews Durso back to Matthews. Now Dax Becker number 15, Matthews. A little fake pass there. Pass inside to Durso. Becker comes on the field. Jacoby DeJesus as well, number three. Matthews finds Durso underneath. There's a shot low by number 33, Drew Pascalis. That hits the leg. Matthews gets it back. Far shot. >> [cheering] >> Easily captured there

017by Wilbur for the save for the Blue Hawks. 1:20 to go here in the first. Exeter on the attack now. Exeter it right back though and they will have another chance here with just under a minute to go. Durso fires backed up by Bedford. They'll hold on to the ball. Matthews behind X finds Durso in front of the net fires a shot. Wilbur ready for that. Durso tried that low bounce shot in front of him but Wilbur was ready to make that save. Actually I should correct myself it is Burnich in goal number 12 for Exeter. Max Becker tried a bit of a wrap around. Burnich is ready for that. Makes the save. Now Exeter on the attack they only have 22 seconds to work with. Fall out of bounds after a push. We'll see

018what the officials say. They're going to call turnover. Yes, they will. No, they did drop a flag there so push from behind earns Bennett Matthews some time in the box here. 16 seconds left here in the first. Exeter with the man advantage. Gibney gets it back from Kerrigan. Now Genard Wilhelm number 15 Time is running down. Possession stays with the Blue Hawks. Graves. Now Gennard. Now Gibney. Drives down the middle, fires. Khan makes the save. Matthews is released. Teams are back to even strength. Forecheck put on there by the Blue Hawks trying to get Drew Clark to turn the ball over. Ball's out of bounds. But it will stay with Bedford. Becker brings it in. Takes a hit. Runs away from it. Becker now trying to set up this Bulldog offense. Ruben behind X. Comes out. Gets it to

020DeJesus. DeJesus gets it right back from Becker. DeJesus finds Becker inside, loses the ball. But Durso's on the spot to pick it up. Now he gets it back to Becker. Matthews pulls away. Finds Durso underneath. Great save there by >> [cheering] >> Bernich. Point-blank range. But Durso gets the ball back. Gets through a double team, now a triple team, loses the ball. It's on the ground. And Exeter comes up with it. Jackson Loranger. gets it to Burnish. Now Swallje up to Nick Thomas, number 24. And Chase Barrett Exeter trails 3-2 here with 9:46 to go in the half. Long pass for Sprague had a little trouble, but he had time to pick up the loose ball. Gibney Wilhelm trying to get through some tight spaces there, winds up losing the ball. Enough that Ethan Kahn

021is able to pick it up for Bedford in the goal crease. Now Kahn gets the return pass. Back and forth there. Good drill for Bedford. Pass cross field now to Will Frangillo. And the ball goes out of bounds. Exeter will control. Barrett now gets it over the center line. Wilhelm, number 15, gets it to Graves Behind X, Wilhelm gets back. Gennard picks up the loose ball. Pass inside, shot. Great save

022there by Bernich. >> [cheering] >> Score remains 3-2 Bedford. 7 minutes to go here in the half. Exeter on the attack now. That's Scarit. Gennard Now Sprague Wilhelm to Graves, back to Wilhelm. Wilhelm takes a bump, but he's got room here. Turns and fires, backed up by Exeter. Graves is right there. Possession stays with the Bluehawks. Graves out to Gibney. Now up high to Genard. Abendroth watching him. Abendroth able to knock the ball loose. And Frangillo gets it to Khan to control the loose ball. Bedford possesses. Khan gets it back from Frangillo. Now returns it to Frangillo. He's looking up field now, gets it back to Khan. I finds Abendroth. Abendroth struck as he made the pass. Whistle blows. And we get a timeout called. Hope you're enjoying this broadcast here on Bluehawk Media. Also rebroadcast on BECTV in Bedford. The battle of these two five and one teams some of the best programs in the state of New Hampshire in the NHIAA. Weather's starting to get a little gray out there. Started out with temperatures in the 60s. It's been steadily falling as the skies get a little a little grayer. We might see a drop or two of rain. This is of course an excellent artificial turf field with very good drainage, so unless there's a monsoon, conditions should remain playable. Might take a moment here to check out the old weather radar, see what it says. And

024so far nothing showing as far as rain in the immediate vicinity, so we should stay being pretty good shape for the rest of this game. Play underway. Dax Becker being watched by Colin Scarrett. Now he wheels back and gets it up to number three Jacoby De Jesus. Back to Becker. Download to Ruben. Ruben has the ball checked away from him, stolen away there by Swalge. >> [cheering] >> Bernich picks up the loose ball. Pass up to Thomas. Thomas loses the ball on that check. Matthews picks it up loose. Here comes Bedford coming right back. Bedford with the ball back to De Jesus. Quick substitution here as Durso comes back on the field. Waiting for Camp Santos to come off, number eight. Durso winds up and scores. That's the second [cheering] goal in a row. And

025the first one of this second quarter, so at 4:48 of the second Durso scores. Call that unassisted as he pulled away from Nick Thomas. Bulldogs up by two now. Riccio against Yang in the face-off circle. Ball still loose on the ground. Bedford comes up with it. Dylan Riccio still with it, gets it down low to Ruben behind Hax watched by Swallje. Ruben still with it. Swallje with that long stick makes it a little tricky to control. Durso Dax Becker Becker watched by Skerrett. Loses the ball. Still loose on the ground. Ruben hits the turf. And finally it's Bernich with

027by two, 4-2 here. Fairly low-scoring affair. Lots of quality goaltending and defense by both teams. While I've got a moment here, let's mention the JV game played right before this one uh between these two teams, their JV squads, and Bedford eked out a 7-6 win. Uh Bedford jumped out to early lead and held on, but the Blue Hawks came back late and almost caught the uh Bedford Bulldogs JV, but in the end, they were able to hold out, run down the clock, and preserve a victory. And they come away with a 7-6 win earlier today. Teams back on the field, we'll resume play. Blue Hawks control. Here's Chenard. Half inside. >> [screaming] >> And a quick score by Shawn Hoff, his second of the day. >> [cheering] >> Blue Hawk goal, number two, Shawn Hoff.

028>> answer here by the Blue Hawks at the 3:12 mark. Hoff with the assist from Genard. And Blue Hawks get within one. It's now 4-3 Bedford. Looks like they're going to send Scarrett here to the face-off circle. Colin Scarrett, number 27, up against Dillon Riccio of Bedford. And Riccio wins that face-off. He's been doing a great job on those face-offs today. Gets the ball to Durso, goes into the offensive zone. Full stop, waits for his teammates. There's There's Becker, number 15. Being pursued. The Hayes who's there on the far side, down low to Ruben. Kobe Ruben having a little trouble controlling the ball. Now it's on the ground. Taken away by Scarrett. Immediately up the far sideline, Scarrett runs over the center stripe. Tried to make a pass, but missed his mark. It goes out

029of bounds, and it's turnover by the Blue Hawks. Bedford will control. Khan in the net gets the ball, gets it up to Becker. Becker quickly up to Frangillo, number seven. The Middie now gets it to Durso. Durso waits. And a quick pass there by Becker, intended [cheering] for Matthews, off the mark. So, Bedford returns the favor, turns the ball over right back to Exeter. Under two minutes to play in the half. Exeter trails 4-3. Here's Hoff. Into the attack zone. Wilhelm to Graves behind X back to Wilhelm. Gennard to Hoff now Gibney. Graves behind X also Wilhelm. Wilhelm comes up in tight, loses the ball. It's on the ground, no one controlling yet. Still bouncing around. A hot potato there in front of the Bedford net. Exeter finally comes up with it. Hoff controls here.

0301:09 to play in the half. >> [cheering] >> Hoff drifts down behind goal line extended. Puts a spin move on. Tries to center it. Great give and go there by Tommy Graves but just off the mark or Con got a stick on it. Either way, puck stays out of the net or ball stays out. You can tell I call a lot of hockey games. Another shot there. Bounces wide of the net. Exeter still on the attack. Gennard comes in, low drive, just wide, backed up by Graves. Blue Hawks will control. 28.6 to go. Wilhelm or should I say Graves, number 16, up to Wilhelm. Gibney, Hoff Time ticking away, 15 seconds. Wind up and a goal. Hoff with his third. [cheering] And we're all tied up with 11.2 seconds to go. >> [cheering] [cheering] >>

031So, Hoff takes it all the way. And the shot drifting just to the right-hand side of Ethan Kahn. Ties the game up here with 11.2 seconds to go. Just enough time for another attack here depending on what team comes up with the clean win on the face off. And once again, it is Riccio. Fires a shot just wide backed up by Ruben. Clock is stopped with 4 seconds. And we'll see if we can get a shot away here. Clock resumes. Ruben looking. Gets it up to Matthews. Fires it high and stopped right there by Bernich. And that's how it's going to end. Great action here for both teams. Bedford had a 4-2 lead, but Exeter scoring two late both by Sean Hoff. And we are tied at four going into the half. We'll take a

032break, come back in about 9 minutes bringing the second half action here on Blue Hawk Media and BCTV. I'm Harry Kozlowski calling the game. We'll be right back. Also, at halftime, please don't forget one of the special events of the season, the Blue Hawks fundraising for extra hospitals beyond the rainbow fund. Again, providing financial assistance for patients and families that are experiencing hardship related to a cancer diagnosis. Community and local business donations make this support possible, so please consider contributing to the cause. Stop by the table at the main entrance. We really appreciate it. Thank you in advance. >> It's good. It's good, yeah. That was That was fun. Way back. Yeah, okay. baby. Yeah, I know he is. They just They had a Exactly. You want to Ricky? Go on, Joey. Yeah, okay. Well,

033I hope I can I see you both. No, I don't. Well, thank you. >> Well, I think If the weather holds Get up. >> And welcome back to Eustis Field Ball Stadium here in Exeter. Second half action about to begin. Good contest here all tied up at four apiece. Let's recap the scoring for you. It opened up at 10:58 of the first, Dax Becker from Colby Rubin made it 1-0. Bedford, I'm sorry, Exeter ties it up at 6:39 on the power play, Chinard from Graves, 1-1. Then Sean Hoff, first of his three goals, unassisted at 6:05, 2-1 Exeter. Bennett Matthews from Becker made it 2-2 at 5:35 of the first, and then at 1:59 on the power play in the first, Durso from Matthews, gave Bedford a 3-2 lead. Exeter controls off the face-off. Yang.

034Kerrigan. Back to Gibney. Gibney there being watched by Cam Santos, loses the ball. Picks it up. Now Gibney goes back on the attack. Gets it to Graves. Kerrigan. Gennard. He's a goal scorer today as well. Hoff with three. Gibney. Wilhelm to Graves. Graves comes out from behind goal line extended, thinks about shooting, drops it back to Gennard. Gennard. Backhand. And wow, I don't think Khan was expecting that one. A beautiful shot. And they're going to call that a goal. So Gennard with his second goal of the game puts Exeter up on top, 5-4. Gennard just comes from behind and very nonchalantly just gives the low low shot that fools Khan. At 10:55 of the third. Gennard unassisted. And Exeter with the lead now. Ruben now for Bedford behind the net. Watched by Swallje. Pass up

035high now to Durso. Becker comes along to set up a pick. But another defender's right there. >> [cheering] >> Now taken away. Chase Barrett comes away with that long stick over the center line. Gets it to Wilhelm. Wilhelm to Graves. Now Kerrigan. Hoff joins the action. Leaves it there for Gennard. >> [cheering] >> Behind X. Kerrigan shot. I think that went off the post. Out of bounds backed up by Wilhelm. Ball will stay with Exeter. Play resumes. Graves back to Wilhelm. Gennard. Now Gibney from Hoff. Gibney picks up a pick from Hoff. Hoff hits the dirt. No call. Gibney drifts behind goal line extended. Now comes up from behind the net. Centering pass. Oh, Kerrigan just missed the net. He got a beautiful set up there. He backs up his own shot. So Exeter still

036with the ball. Gibney. Runs into a defender. High shot. Kahn makes the save. Now Bedford with the ball. Durso. Or correction, that is uh Dylan Riccio, number five. Exeter, so getting [cheering] kind of going through the ringer right there. He's knocked down, loses his stick, almost comes up with the ball. But [cheering] Exeter's got it now. Here's Chase Barrett. >> [cheering] >> Gahaff Now Wilhelm Behind X is Graves. Up to Carrigan. Gibney Gennard and now Haff. Haff won a one against DeJesus, drops it back to Graves, Carrigan now. Carrigan spins. Gets it to Gibney. Now Gennard up high. Drives, being watched there. Gennard still with it. And they score. >> [cheering] [applause] >> Believe that was Wilhelm with the goal. Blue Hawk goal, number 15, Matt Wilhelm. So Wilhelm gets the goal with the assist

037from Gennard. And it's now a 6-4 lead here for the Blue Hawks at the 7:37 mark of the third quarter. Bedford now wins the face-off, they come away with it. Quick shot. >> [cheering] >> In the net. Quick response right there. No fooling around. Bulldog goal number five, Dylan Riccio. Dylan Riccio wins the face-off and goes all the way end to end. And beats the keeper Ernitch. And just like that, it's now a 6-5 contest. Riccio unassisted at 7:28. Ball's still loose here off the face-off. Finally picked up by the Bulldogs. Riccio looking for an outlet, decides to go toward the net. Why not shoot it again? Bounces in front of the net out of bounds. Backed up by Bedford. Ruben right there. Now the clock starts. Ruben spins. Takes a stick or two from

038the defender Swalaj. Now Dax back her up high. De Jesus one-on-one there with Bedford defender or the Exeter defender. Matthews gets it in. Oh, and Durso [cheering] scores. >> [applause] >> Great pass. Found Durso in tight against Bernitch. And we're all tied up again at six. Durso with his third of the game. Matthews assisting at the 6:38 mark. So, unlike the second quarter where you only had three goals, we're already up to four here with 6:38 yet to play. All tied at six. Yang against Riccio. Riccio wins his wins another face-off here. Bedford having a great time in the face-off circle, winning most of them. Here's Ruben behind goal line extended, comes out. Spins away from two defenders, loses the ball. And they're going to call a foul right there. Flag goes flying. I believe

039that is going to be number seven. Cam Knowles going into the penalty box for the Blue Hawks. Yes, it is. Or do we have offsetting here? We'll find out. Nope. It's Knowles.
