[music] >> [music] [music] >> I am ready. >> Hello and welcome to Stell Stadium in Nasha for the second half of our boys lacrosse double header on a sunsplash now sunspeckled Monday, April 27 of 2026. Beautiful spring day. Hey, we just watched one lacrosse game in which South asserted themselves in a big way, beating Salem 23 to7. >> Asserted themselves is the best way to put it. They just took that game right away

002from Salem. >> It was tight in the first half late, 6-4 and then it was all South for the rest of it. It turned out to be a running time victory. We'll see if this one avoids running time or >> Well, the Exit Blue Hawks have been a solid team over the years. They almost ended Girtton's 70 plus game instate winning streak last uh last year. We saw that game university >> and you know what I'm anxious to get a good look at them because they are bet for one of those three teams is going to be in the finals. So exit coming off a couple of out of state games. A loss 9 to8 at Bishop Fian and a win 133 over Chelmsford >> and they're taking on >> and I'm anxious to get

003a look at Nash North. I've seen South now twice. I haven't seen the Titans yet >> and we will now as they have >> look at this >> a rugby scrum in front of the >> in front of the exit net. >> Exit net exit in the dark uniforms and North in their home whites and Carolina blue. >> Got to pick up that ground ball. It's so important. Cost North a goal right there. They picked that ball up. They're probably going to get a goal out of it. >> It would have been an interesting start to the game. The underdog scoring first, >> but it is Salem with the ball as they Exit, excuse me. Going to switch that mindset over. We're exit now. A lot of blue today, Tom, between uh Exit North and

004Salem. by his exit on the field now in the dark to black jerseys and circling looking for a shot and >> that hit the post. >> Uh ringing shot off the post. >> Yep. >> Exit of course. Uh see they have do they have road jerseys that we don't have? Number 11. No number 11 on the roster as they circle. Sam Gibney has it up top and a ripper from the slot by Alex Carrian goes wide. Still Bluehawk ball. Bluehawks have high hopes this season. They did have a common opponent with BG. I was checking out on their schedule. I believe it was Conquered. They play that conquered 17-4. There's a shot that goes wide. Uh BG, >> let's see the time of >> playing conquer today. >> Let's see. This time of possession in

005this game is going to be critical. I mean, North has got to be If North gets the ball, >> I think they've got to play keep away. They've got to hold the ball for a while. >> What a day here in my goodness. >> We had Salem viewers win in the opening game. Salem versus >> South. And we are also on Bluehawk Media today, the Exit TV channel. We welcome our Exit viewers. I can understand why they like to follow this Exit Blue Hawk boys lacrosse team wherever they play. >> There deflected though. Couldn't get the rebound >> at the near post. Stopped by the Blue Hawks and threatening to score first. still circling the Titans. >> And look what they're doing, John. They're definitely going to control the ball, I think, for a while.

006They're going to try to anyway. >> Shorten the amount of possession that exit. >> Exactly. Shorten the game a little bit. >> Nick Bari throws it across field. You can hear the hard stick check. North gets the shot away. No, they don't. It's just a ball that trickles off the end of the >> turn it over. They would have been better off not trying to run through five people and take the ball back to the outside >> and let more time tick off. Keep the score down. Shorten the game if you're Nashville North. >> I think that was even more than a triple team that he ran into there before turning it over to Langer of Exits. Pinching in from the angle. Matthew Wilheim. He throws it behind the net to Tommy Graves. Graves pass

007out in front. Loose ball and a quick shot and alert to it. >> That was the quickest shot I've seen. The ball was on the ground. He just flipped it. >> Yeah. >> And a nice save. >> It might be Declan or Griffin Jinard. We have his number 10. >> Uh no, he's on the sideline. So, we'll have to get >> the goalender. It looks like >> number 11. I was looking at exit. >> Goender is 23. Right. >> Right. For North >> William Palmer's numbers are on the back. >> William Palmer with that great save. Anticipating the low shot maybe from the forward down low. John, here's the disparity that you see already in this game. Take a look at the bench at Nashville North. >> Very short bench for North. >> Take a

008look at the bench at Exit. >> They have a whole team in reserve if they wanted to change everybody out. >> Yeah. >> A lot of lacrosse enthusiasm at Exit High School. >> Numbers, strength numbers. And Lex has had a solid program. Matt Brewster's done a great job at exit. >> Circling Matthew Wilheim gets a shot away. Another save. >> Palmer perennial contender in and out every year. You can count on Exit having a good lacrosse team. >> Yep. >> And a good basketball team and a good hockey team and a good football team and a good soccer team. I mean, they're very good. >> Yeah. >> In just about everything. So I the common opponent is wind pinching in the shot goal. >> Goal get the long stick able to come down and have

009the reach to shoot from the outside to the outside part of the goal. >> Long stick mitti Cameron Nolles with the first goal number seven. >> Long stick got him that score. >> Yeah. Somehow got it through. Palmer who seemed to have the near side sealed off. >> Yeah. But the long stick covered the part that he didn't John. That's why. >> Yeah. Jack Miller is on camera for us today on Nashe TV and on Bluehawk Media as we have the face off at the center dot and it's a win for >> DJ Pety Pete make his way out of uh out of dodge >> I guess so. Jimmy Hearn is here as well. >> Yeah, there's another meeting tonight. There's a board of ed meeting tonight >> to to man our camera for >>

010Dan Young back at the studio. I think >> Dan Young on replays. Yes, John Collins here with Tom King. Second half of a double header of lacrosse. Tom keeping an eye on Rivier, the men's Rivier lacrosse team with >> Gac Championship Copes. >> Rivier will play Wednesday night 7:30 against Norwich. >> And if they win that >> at the their nice pavilion that they have on the turf at Melfield, there's a shot and a goal. The wraparound goal for the Blue Hawks, Griffin Jard, Junior Midi. >> Again, >> rather unmarked as he came around. >> Yeah, pinpoint shooting too. You got to be able to find the opening and he was right there to do it. >> Yeah, there was nobody really up on him as he even as he came out even with the

011net. It was just him and the goalie and he slipped it past Palmer. You would think that North in the second half will be tired because there's not a lot of bench. >> Yeah, the players that are playing got to play a lot because they have no choice. They can't take them out or they don't have enough back on. >> And again, school vacation week. It's a testament to exit. They got this many kids >> suited up to play. >> This is the week where even some of the athletes take off. There is no tennis, high school tennis during this week. The entire sport takes it off. >> H >> statewide. Statewide. >> Statewide. Big shot. >> Unless there's a unless unless makeup. Unless you need it for makeup. >> For makeups. >> Yeah. >>

012And then they they really double down the final two weeks of the regular season when they come back. Two two and a half weeks. >> I want to I want to ask again. Uh maybe we can Zoom in on the goalender number. Is it 23 or 22? Is it >> might be Joshua Parsons? There's a shot and a goal. Goes up high. >> And the the goalender is trying to say the fall through hit him in the face. Is it 23 or 22? It's 22. >> 22. >> Yeah. >> Joshua Parsons. All right. >> Who is a junior and uh he's under siege, Tom. >> He sure is. >> It's three to nothing. They're seeing what we saw earlier with the South Salem game in reverse. >> Yeah. Where South jumped out to the huge

013lead and had all kinds of time of possession and won all the fa all the faceoffs. >> Yeah. >> So, it gets back to the center dot and see if uh North can win one of these and gain some time of possession. It's so key. And there's a chance loose ball on the turf. Foot race and Exit is going to beat them to the loose ball. It looked like North might have had a chance. Now they do get it, but the body check knocks it loose and exit wins it. Flag will give the ball to North on the penalty. Who's going off? Head and neck area hit. uh called against exit and number 24 coming off for the head or neck area hit. Accidental I'm sure but dangerous hit and it gives the ball to

014the Titans trailing three nothing. Still looking for their first score. >> It is a sun dappled field right now. Oh, dappled fancy words. >> It might mess with the uh vision, I would think, of the goalies as the ball will go between Sun and Shadow on every shot. And there's a save made by the Blue Hawks. Ronan Wilbur, senior net minder number 28. Got a nice piece of that one. Looked like was labeled for the netting on the inside fire inside of the fire. Wilbur will coveret all of those saves because he's not going to have to make too many of them. I don't think >> see I again north if I'm north I I try to hold the ball. >> Shot missed to the left. >> They're playing it straight up. >> Yeah. >>

015You know I just try to hold the ball. >> Jared Gothier tried his hand there at a shot from distance but missed. And I guess uh North didn't have anybody stationed far back enough >> as the net minder Wilbur will come out and flick it to the far sideline. Chase Barrett, sophomore defender, sprinting to the middle, flicks it across. Feelgood pass to Matthew Wilheim. Wilheim weaving his way to the far sideline and all the way down into the corner it goes. Blue Hawks looking for their fourth goal to none so far for the Titans. Three nothing. Four minutes a few seconds left to go. First quarter. One hopper over to Zack Sprag. Sprag into the corner. Matthew Wilheim will go behind the net and get it back. Wilheim back to Sprag. And he high points

016it to teammate number 11. We'll get that name at half. >> Oh, right down low. >> Goal. >> Right down low. Just a bank deposit. Matthew Wilheim with a goal and it is four to nothing. Perfectly placed pass you see and just a layup for a goal. >> Yeah, too easy. >> Much too easy. >> Four nothing >> for exit. It's all about style points. They want to see if they can execute their offense, how they're moving the ball around, and then they'll try to get some other players involved to to increase their depth. Trying to make his way through five blue hawks and not unable to do it. Right there was uh number 13 for North. He probably should have got rid of it earlier, Caleb Smith, but easier said than done as I

017don't think he was even a teammate to pass to in the picture. North needs more urgency, I think, on those loose balls after the faceoff, Tom. There's been >> slow to react. >> Yeah, slow to react. There's not really been any big clean wins for Jaden Yang, who's taken the faceoffs for exit. He's quick to He's first to chase after it, though. >> Oh, wide open shot again >> over the net. >> Yep. >> Chance for Sam Gibney on the turnaround. >> A good mix of grades on this exit lacrosse team. It's not all seniors at all. There's a lot of juniors and sophomores in the mix. You get numbers in lacrosse. You're able to play through three grades. They didn't miss a class. They're doing pretty well. >> Yeah. >> Dancing to the left.

018>> Shot. Save. Good one. Going down low to stop it. >> I'll tell you what, that game, that game last year against Girtton was one of the best lacrosse games I've seen. It was just >> for boys and it was just uh they had the Cardinals on the ropes. >> Sure did. game all they could handle before they came back. >> And we get a timeout or a change of possession of violation. Violation. >> Yeah. And a nice job of winning a turnover, earning a turnover by the Titans as they try to make their way to the other end. Not an easy task against this exit team. They just swarm the ball. You >> see it? But look at that nice recovery >> for North. >> Yeah. And now they get to set up in

019the offensive end. still looking for that elusive first goal. Four nothing. I believe >> Salem's first goal came at the five nothing mark. >> Yeah. >> North trying to make it a three-goal game. Spin move. >> Dodge. >> Spin move. >> Jared Gothier being just stick checked relentlessly. >> And you can do those things. Yeah, can do that >> like Carter Sap >> just can't hit from behind and knock him to the ground like we saw a couple times in the South Salem game. >> He's going to shot coming up here. I think he's going to try it. >> Circling. Notice that exit gives Salem I mean >> nothing. They don't give no space at all. >> Give him give North. You mean >> no cushion when they have the ball >> right? Nothing. >>

020Circling. >> That's what Matt Brewster is looking at. >> Yeah. Wilkinson number. looking at that that philosophy bearing fruit as they turn it as North turns it over and >> the Blue Hawks bring it down on the ride. >> And that's going to be a turnover. >> Errant pass in the offensive end. Two turnovers by the Blue Hawks and successive offensive zone possessions. Just inviting North to get back in the game. Long pass by the goalender Joshua Parsons and not able to connect. Long stick defender Chase Barrett scoops it and gets it past midfield in a hurry. And the Blue Hawks looking to score on the run here, but good body check. Knocks the ball to the turf. Tommy Graves recovers possession, feeds Matt Wilheim. Wilheim being stick checked by Thomas Dra. Wilheim scores. He

021got by him and put it up top. Wow. That's his second goal and it is a five nothing lead for the Blue Hawks. Just 22 seconds remains in the first quarter. So easy math. They're on pace for a 20 nothing win at this rate. As we watch the replay, Wilheim just look at the easy ease of that shot. >> He just uh >> look at the ease of that shot. Yep. >> And the faceoff. >> Still love to know what happened to Bryce Stewart in that game. Goalender for South was injured near midfield with what seemed to be a non-cont injury with his team up >> and not his knee and did not it wasn't his knee. You think non-cont Oh, he must have hurt his knee on the turf. No, nothing. >> He was

022holding his right wrist. >> Right wrist. Yeah. >> And uh just an unnecessary injury because they were ahead by almost 20 goals at that point. >> Titans called timeout. Timeout North as they huddle to our right. >> 148 to play here in the quarter. Upcoming on Nashville ETV. >> May or may not have the if Riv survives the semi-finals. We're looking to see if we can do that final game. G championship. >> If they play if they play and if we can get permission to do it. >> So that's the question. That's that's why DJ PDP is the executive producer. >> Yeah. [laughter] to make the big decisions. >> Exactly. >> We we welcome Bluehawk Media watching this game along with our Nasha ATV audience. >> But next week, John Collins, Battle of the Bridge

023Week, a week from Wednesday, we'll be here. We'll be here on May the 6th. [clears throat] Wednesday night, May the 6th for the North South Lacrosse double header. And then we'll do the North South baseball game on Friday night the four the 7th. >> Mhm. >> Or the eth. The eth, right? Friday is the 8th. So that's May 8th at Homeman Stadium. That's a night game. 7 o'clock game. And then that following Tuesday, I believe, will be the North South softball game at Rivier's Raider Diamond. That's a night game. >> Great. Looking forward to it. >> So, I have all those those four events for you right here on Nasha E. >> Looking forward to doing a BG boys lacrosse game as well. >> Yeah, we'll try to work one of those. Got one on

024the schedule. >> Common opponent between this Exit team and Bishop Girtton. Windham. Uh exit opened their season at home against ex uh Windham and won 18-4. Bishop Girtton just played him on Thursday in their uh in their in their territory. >> Look at this. Right down off the timeout. >> Goal. >> Right down off the timeout. >> And it's Willheim again. >> Yeah, Willheim had just ran all the way down. North was not near him. He was all alone. Watch him right after this. Watch him. There he goes. Number 15 starting to run right down and then just lets the shot go. What's the goalender seeing when he sees three blue shirts and no defenders in between? >> He has the same reaction probably that Jeremy Swayman had yesterday for the Boston Bruins >> before

025he stormed off the ice. >> He stormed off the ice in a in a hissy fit. >> Wow. >> Never seen that before. >> Six to nothing exit as we have same score too. >> As we have four seconds left. No. Oh yeah, might have been. when the Bruins goend >> and that'll do it for the first quarter here at >> and fittingly the ball ends up with a shot on goal that >> Parsons is forced to field at the whistle to end the first quarter that he was under siege the entire quarter 6 nothing is the score as we two-minute break in between >> yeah I mean you I don't know if you can tell anything common opponents but 18 to4 win for exit over Windham and BG played them Thursday and it was

02613-3 a little bit closer 10 goals. >> Yeah, >> but it was a good def uh good defense by the elite teams because they hardly give you the ball. They they don't let you have the ball. They they make you turn it over. They the faceoffs. >> Yeah. Possession's 10 of the laws. >> And so when you when you see you scan down and you see exit um lost, you're like who beat him? And it was Bishop Fen. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Nine. out of state. >> Yeah, that must have been a good game though. Nine to eight. Wow, >> of course. >> Very good competitive lacrosse. >> Yeah, >> probably equal time of possession and all that. >> I wonder if that went in overtime or not. [clears throat] >> Maybe, right? >> Doesn't

027say it won't say. It probably won't say that won't say on a thing. So, >> BG already has two or three out of state opponents under their bet belt. St. John's Lincoln Sudbury. Yeah. The scary sight, >> St. Joseph. >> The scary sight that you're not going to want to see is BG against Salem on May 1st on Friday. That's not a game you want to see. >> No, >> that will be >> and BG does not schedule uh which one of the Nasha teams. They don't they don't schedule South. >> Oh, they don't schedule. >> They play North on the uh should be the other way around. >> Really should be the other way around. South's a better team. Yeah, this season definitely >> this season anyway. You know, I mean, who knows when

028they play when they play each other, it might be a different story. Who knows when North and South play each other. I don't know. >> BG is going to play Bedford, North and Staples. And then >> Well, Bedford's the big game. >> Bedford and Pinkerton are two games you want to circle. >> Wow. >> Yep. >> Yeah. >> And then on May 23rd, Zavarian Brothers come here. >> Zavarian Brothers >> for a one:00 game. Yeah, >> that is on Memorial Day weekend, I believe. >> So, the restart and it is change of ends. The goalender for South moves to our left. >> Goender for the Blue Hawks moves to our right. And >> May 23rd, the Memorial Day weekend. It'll be on that Saturday at 1:00 here at Stella State. Well, I'm not actually I'm

029not sure if it's going to be at Stellas or not. I'm not sure if they sometimes in those big games they move the locations. They play at a college venue >> or they play Riv sometime. I'm not sure. I got to check their their schedule to see >> and trying to come out from behind the net. Gavin, I mean Ben Gibney. >> So, we will be looking a lot as you say to our left now for this quarter. >> Oh, look at that. You got the ball and you're National North kid. You're going you're hitting the ground. We're not giving you the ball. That's the way the Blue Hawks are are uh going to play this. >> You will pay the price. >> Yep. >> A ball possession as two players >> body check the

030ball handler for North. >> Poked poked and down he goes. Look at See, I told you. What did I tell you? >> Got a lot of >> What did I tell you? Now he slipped, but he slipped because he was pokech checked. >> Tried to spin to avoid and lost his footing. >> But that's that's what this this team will do. And again, North unable to get the ball out of their own end. >> Is a very good exit team. >> Yeah, I think the player that just had the ball. He doesn't look like he's uh he's 100% after that. Heavy hitting. That was number nine Jared Gothier that took the brunt of that double team >> running out from behind the net. Circle shot save. Clean save. >> Exit's big test. Joshua Parsons >>

031comes this week when they play Bedford after this. >> Yeah. >> And that's tough. You know what? To adjust to what they're going to see against Bedford versus what they're seeing now. >> Yeah. Because it's uh basically their defense isn't getting a lot of reps, >> right? >> As they come quickly out of their defensive zone and transition up field and go around the perimeter. >> It's Bedford's this year. And the same thing with Bedford. They've lost to an out of state team and they've lost to Hingham Mass 109. Another close game. >> Yeah, that only makes them better. >> Yeah. >> And a miscue. Rare miscue by Exer puts the ball on the ground and they recover. Alex Carrian in the corner. >> Let's see. A lot of these uh better schools are following

032BG's lead and scheduling out of state because they want the competition, John. >> Right. You know, there's not enough competition in the state of New Hampshire in this sport. >> And to make themselves better, they seek out tough opponents wherever they may be. >> And the and the NHI about, I don't know, maybe 12, 13 years ago decided that all out of state games would would still sanctioned out of state games would count in the standings, >> right? >> In in all sports. [clears throat] So that was big. Used to be, you know, when Bishop Girtton would play hockey against the out of state teams, it wouldn't count against him. Now it does. >> Double teams that flag flies. This might go against the >> Blue Hawks as they were administrating a lot of contact.

033And yes, coming off >> Jackson Langer, the senior defenseman will take a knee for >> Let's see what they put up on the board. One minute. Man down is Exit. Next best chance to score for North with possession. And a man up. 848 to go in the first half. Pass into the corner. And again, no breathing room for the >> And what happened? Down he goes. Right. I'm telling you, if you're a North kid, you're looking for the ball, you're going to end up on the ground. >> Cormarmac Fington got a seat out of that battle. And exit takes the ball away. Cullen Skirit passes back to his goalender. >> This is a practiced uh ride up the field. >> Yeah. >> Defender to goalie. Goalie to defender and then they bring it up. >>

034Yeah. >> Beautiful night here at Stelloss. >> Yeah, it really is. Trotting toward the middle of the field is Griffin Jard able to flip it to Alex Carrian and he makes a quick pass to Ben Gibney. >> Exodus time layup. >> They took their time. They kind of lulled North to sleep. North thought they would work the perimeter all the way around from behind to the top. >> They did not. See, they're looking to work the perimeter here. You watch him and then they move back and you think he's going to go the other way and go all the way around. He doesn't. Instead, he passes over the net and finds an open player and there's an easy goal. >> And again, one-on-one face to face with the goalender. >> Easy shots. >> Yeah. I

035mean, that's just uh that's not fair to Parsons. And it's not something you would see going the other way. Exiter doesn't give you breathing room if you've got the ball 20 yards from the net. >> They get another They get another X- win. >> Yeah, another X- win. And it's a time of possession. Bonanza again for the Blue Hawks against a un lesser man opponent. Back to full strength both teams. Ball in the far corner and 725 to go. Tom teaching us in the first game that the official running time rule the shot and the >> 12 goals in the second half. >> We will be there in the second half >> and trying Joshua Parson's >> I like his spunk. >> I like that. Bring it up. I'm taking it up. I'm bringing it

036down the field as far as I can go until I have to get it get it get rid of it. And of course what happened was he was surrounded by black or navy dark dark blue jerseys. Five four of them. And he was far a field when Matthew Wilheim took that shot. He just missed wide to the left. That's a shot and a wide shot. >> Save, I think. Did he deflect it? No, it went wide. >> Yeah. Ended up in the far corner of the end zone there. >> Exodus got it. >> He might have got a piece of it, though. >> I think he did. >> Yeah. >> Did he hit the ground when he did it? >> Long pass and it is completed. >> I was going to say, >> wow. >>

037Nice pass. >> And it's close. Might have hit the crossbar. bounces up in the air. >> The B the difference is that's a shot. Hadn't hadn't sniffed a shot in the >> closest they came to scoring right there, Tom. >> Exactly. >> That was number 25 Nick Wilkinson that took that shot. The senior >> is is one of their better players. >> And the shot from distance doesn't find its way through. It's blocked by Logan Schwall. >> This is what exit would like to see. They want some competition here. >> Shot and a save. >> Save. How about that? >> Going down to get it. Nice save by Ronan Wilbur. >> Everybody knew he was taking it. >> He's trying to pitch a shut out here. He's up 7 nothing. >> Got a little help

038from the crossbar. There's a shot. Bouncer misses to the left, but it is still exit ball with 558. Just under six minutes to go first half. >> North did succeed in slowing down the scoring of exit for quite a while. Yep. >> It took him a long time to go from six to seven >> because they've gotten possessions, but Exit has also done a job of slowing it down because they missed a couple of shots and they taking their time. >> Shot a ripper. >> Ripped it right from oh, I don't know, 10 yards away and just nails it about eight yards away. >> Yeah, Alex Carrian. >> Yeah, Carrian is sitting right around the 20 yardd line just inside there. You see him standing there, no one near him >> and he's able to

039just power it. Yeah, that's another example of how on offense when they do have it, North has no breathing room at all even to pass the ball and then you're seeing a a shooter that's that close to the net. >> Zip zero. Yeah, it's just no pressure. No pressure. I mean, no chance for the go. No chance for parson. >> It's like a pregame shoot around >> and a face off. Looks like it's going to be won by North. >> Here's a flip pass on the run. >> They may have turned it over and they did. >> Yeah. And a little frustration there for Nick Batari who was supposed to be on the receiving end of that pass and was so hastily done close to him that he had no chance to react. So it

040goes out of bounds and it's exit ball again. 517 >> and running straight down the field shooting and scoring that quickly. Matt Wilheim >> has four. >> Think these guys uh play a lot of lacrosse in the offseason? >> They do. They immediately exploit any weakness opening >> anything. >> I mean, that's covering 50 yards in less than five seconds >> with the passing and the shooting. >> They're an exception almost. They're they and Bedford both. >> Yeah. >> Because lacrosse has been traditionally a private school sport. >> Right. Right. >> That's where everybody excels, the private schools. >> Yeah. And we've got, you know, two Publix that are dominant, not, you know, fairly dominant in it against twothirds of the state. >> Somehow North comes away with that loose ball in the scrum and

041you can see two players. >> That's a great play to get it. >> Yeah, but sandwiching the ball handler and immediately gives it up. >> Wilkinson was >> Yeah, you don't want to do that. >> Set upon Exod wanted the ride. Did they call time? No, they couldn't have called time. They didn't have full possession. >> Is it a stamina thing or a mindset, Tom? Why you Well, the second half has no breathing room. >> The second half we're going to see a stamina thing. >> Yeah. >> All right. Not right now. >> Yeah. >> And straight down the middle, a shot and a save or hit the post. Either way, it's not a goal. >> Now, North will take it and they'll try to bring it up >> and uh again, >> bring it

042up slowly. But the problem is if you don't give it a long ride, a long pass for the ride, >> exit is able to converge and defend against it and cause a turnover just like they did right there. >> Wow. >> It's flagged. >> It's um >> Let's see. >> Refs in the stands are making some calls. And >> did you see a fly go up? I did not. So, all right. >> Yeah, it's going to go. It should have. Yeah. >> Going to go again. Exit. I think uh >> there'll be a man down. >> Yeah. We don't have anybody kneeling, right? >> Number 13. And that's uh Chase Barrett. >> Here he comes >> for a minute. >> He didn't know either. >> Till the point coaches pointed to him. >> Yeah. So,

043>> and now the clock continues to run. >> Six on five for >> 405 left in the first half. Nine nothing the Blue Hawks. >> 12 is the running time, but it's second half. >> Shot and a save. 12goal deficit >> trying to wrap around coming out from behind the net. >> Hey, look, take your your chance. >> Yeah, >> but again, John, I I I would have gone with the strategy of trying to trying to hold it down, but you know, North wants to play the game the way it's supposed to be. >> Tic tac toe score again. >> What happens? Watch this. This is going to be one of the prettier goals you see. >> Unfortunately, yes, if you're a North fan, exit just executing. >> Yeah. Look. One, two, and three. >>

044One-on-one up top. Slam dunk for Wilheim. He's got five in the half at least, unless we miss one. Matt Wilhim. And he is a sophomore. Number 15 for the Blue Hawks. Great touch around the net. And uh I want to say he should never be left alone, but he has found lots of space to work with in this first half. >> Tons of it. >> And partly because of that great passing right there. It's just hard to keep track of the ball. When this exit machine gets going 320 to go in this second quarter, first half at Stello's second game of a boys lacrosse double header. So Matt Musu is gonna have to take the positives out of this. Talk to him in the second talk to him at halftime and try to see what

045kind of adjustments they can make. Yeah. >> Try to keep the score down. >> I think the outcome's kind of decided. It's just a matter of by how much. >> All right. Spin move. Alex Carrian. >> That's a good defense. Good defense. You forced him out of his out of his play. See if North can prevent somebody from springing completely free near Parsons down by the net. >> They've been able to move the defense away. Wilheim goes over the top, hit a post and it ricochets back toward the sideline. That is going to be exit ball still. >> The penalty's been killed off. So exit didn't have to stall. Often, John, you see a team when they have the ball. >> Carrian. >> Yeah, you'll see. Oh, there's >> no I did. >> Yeah, it

046went right in the chest to the face mask area of Parsons and went up over. >> He looked You always never like it when a go looks behind. [laughter] >> He's just checking. But yeah, went over to the far corner of the end zone. >> But you'll often see a team on offense if they're a man down, you know, kind of kill that clock. >> Yeah. Up top, Wilheim. Most dangerous guy in the field and a team of scorers for this exit club. Around the perimeter they go. Under two minutes to go first half. >> Exit looking to add to their 10 nothing lead. Shot off the post or the goalie. Save made. >> Save. >> And Parsons has it. Net minder looking to pass it down field. hits the outlet and they try to

047get it to the other end and ends up in the possession of the net minder. >> Ronan Wilbur >> who came all the way up. >> Yeah, >> came all the way out. Wilbur came all the way out. >> So Exit's transition is measured and well executed. And there's a heavy hit from behind. Knocks the ball loose. >> Hate to say it, Tom, but North might need to do that more. >> You're no kidding. to knock the ball. >> You're gonna get called for it, though. >> Oh, is that a penalty? >> Well, I mean, I didn't see a flag, but eventually it will be. >> It was. >> Eventually it will. Yeah, there's a fly on the field. >> Oh, there is. Yeah. Yeah, that was it. Should have been >> an illegal hit,

048>> but you know, in a legal sense, they need to uh body the ball handle a little more, just like Exit's been doing to the ball handlers for North. >> Yeah, agreed. 105 to go and exit controls. One minute penalty on North's number five is off the field around the perimeter. It goes for the Blue Hawks. 50 seconds. >> Taking their time. >> Maybe playing for the last shot. No, they're going to take it now. They can get five more shots off in 50 seconds. >> A ripper. >> Yep. >> To the far side. Number 11 for the Blue Hawks with the score. >> Watch the shot. How hard do you think that was? How hard >> How the Look at Look at how hard that shot was. Yeah. Look at him. >> Zap. No

049chance >> from not far away. About 75 miles an hour. Well, Rich Mcdana would tell us he'd stop it. >> Yeah. >> Right. >> All right. [laughter] >> You know, he was a lacrosse goal. >> I do. I've heard that. >> Yeah, I heard it, too. >> He is a >> How's he doing? You've seen him. Uh >> Oh, he's uh he's been busy. >> He's doing a lot of college games. >> Yeah, he did. Uh I think he did a game down and I told you they could get a lot more. >> Who else? Matthew Will. >> And we are officially going to be in running time once the second half Oh, you're right. We're already at 12. >> Yeah, >> once the second half begins, it will not be in the first half.

050>> Yeah, it's Willheim with six of those at least. >> I believe it extends into the third quarter as well. >> Oh, was it? Yeah, it was Willilheim. >> Yep. Look at that. >> And he's on the run. >> He was maybe what? >> He was >> 12 yards away on the run. >> Yeah. >> Made it all the way down. >> Yeah. And then the clean win this time. Jayen Yang has done great on the >> faceoff face offs. Yeah. >> And Wilheim takes a heavy hit. >> Yep. And it's clean. >> Yeah. >> Wasn't from behind. >> His seventh goal. We'll have to wait till the second half perhaps. >> And we are at it. Yep. That'll do it. That'll do it for the first half everybody. The Exit Blue Hawks 12, Nasha

051North nothing. We will have the second half for you in just a few minutes. So stay with us here on National ETV. >> [music] [music] >> Heat. Heat. Heat. Hey, heat. Hey, heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. >> [music] [music] >> Welcome back to Stellos's Stadium. John Collins along with Tom King. The second half of the second half of our double header today. We had the opening game at 4:00 where South Dispatch Salem 23-7. And this one is rapidly becoming just as one-sided here in game two of our double header as the high-powered exit Blue Hawks are taking care of business against North up 12 to nothing at the halftime. >> Well, it will end quicker. We'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure it applies in the third quarter for running time. >> We'll keep

052an eye on the clock right after this opening faceoff of the second half. >> As you might guess from the score, Exit has won most of these. clock is about the only thing we can see because look at the sun are staring eyes. You know what you say? Well, it's going to go behind the trees. Well, there's nothing on the trees yet. >> No, they're bare. So, there is a ground ball after the faceoff win by Exiter as they're moving it downfield, but an errant pass turnover and it'll be North Ball as they look for that elusive first goal. Clock does seem to be rolling. This ball goes back to the goalender Joshua Parsons, who's been a very busy boy in this lacrosse game, unlike his counterpart on the other end, Ronin. Oh, actually, here

053we go. Shot goal. First goal of the game for North. They moved it down smartly. >> There you go. >> And it is now 12 to one as we watch the >> It'll stay running. >> We play on that. Maybe. >> See, is it still running? Yeah, here it comes, Tom. >> Yeah, still running. >> Yep. Here it is. Right here. Right down the middle and getting right in. And Exit just got caught flatfooted. >> Nick Wilkinson with the slam dunk goal to finish it off. >> He's a good player. >> Oh, I just look right into the sun. I'm like, we got to reset. >> It's unbelievable. [laughter] >> We are right at Here we go again. They win the draw and we face off. And now I been hanging around you too long,

054John. [laughter] >> We got the blinds down almost all the way. >> Yeah, I know. Usually I don't. No, you don't. >> I don't. I said to Dylan Smith, "No, I'm fine." [laughter] >> Oops. >> Dan Young on replays back in the studio. Got Jack Miller on the lens along with Jimmy Ahern here at Stelloss. >> Jimmy and Jack. And that's a fact. >> Yeah. And I think the Sun is not on running time. It seems to be taking its sweet time going down across the way. Players aren't affected right now really at all. Oh, you know they're ground level. >> 95%. Shadows. There's a shot by Willilheim. He hits the post. Still alive. And >> shows you it's going to be a different second half, [laughter] right? Those one those were guaranteed >> goals

055for Wilheim in the first half as he's got six of the 12 at least by our count. >> But a steal as North turns it over. They can't bring it out of their own end. Griffin Jard changing direction and Jard hands it off to Ben uh Ben Gibney. Behind the net it goes. >> Shot from distance. A ripper in the top of the netting. Number 24 Exitters. Alex Carrian. >> You know that's the one thing. Exit's accuracy with their shots has been impressive. It has >> got the longer stick and the high velocity from distance and still >> how many times have you seen an exit player run behind the net to go chase after a ball? >> Not that many. >> No, not at all. >> And that one ends up in the frame.

056>> They let it rip. It's usually going to be right on goal. Goalie is either going to have to take life and limb in their own hands and make a save or it's going to go in >> 13-1 or it's going to hit iron. One of one of those three does isn't going to go past the goal. They are accurate as heck. >> And more time of possession for the team in the dark blue. The exit blue hawks come into this game four and one about to go five and one >> on a gorgeous. You are not going to get a better night or a day at Stello Stadium. >> Yeah, >> not going to get a better one. >> It's not cold. Temperatures great. Not cloudy sky. circling. >> Don't get too used to

057it though because the weather this week is going to turn for the worse. And there's a penalty on the hit from behind. >> Yeah. >> And Nashville North is going to be a man down. You don't want to be a man down if you're the Titans. >> Thomas Dra will hand the flag back to the official. >> Picked it right up for him. >> Go serve >> saying, "Can I get 30 seconds off of this if I flag >> for being a good boy and hand you the flag?" >> Yeah, exactly. >> And the answer is >> No, you get a full minute >> to think about your actions. Is it a minute? Shut the clock, John. >> I'm looking. I'm looking right now. >> I can't from where I am. >> I got my

058friendly partition. Loose ball. Still haven't put it up. Wilheim's going to try it. And nice save on the fly. Parsons >> flag in front of the net minder. Who's that against? It's going to determine who gets. >> I was wondering why Parsons had stopped. I hadn't seen the flag thrown. >> Parsons just spiked the ball in disgust, but nobody saw him do it. So, >> he's not happy. He let his he reached his arms out. What did he do? He didn't do anything. It's had to be a flag gun. National North. Did they pick it up? >> They say I think they say Parsons hit somebody in the head with his stick. >> And somebody else is going to have to serve that, right? >> Yeah. >> Let me see. I don't know what the

059call was. No penalty. It's just a >> He picked it up, >> I think. >> Yeah. They haven't put the uh the minute for DR up on the board, but he's kneeling in the penalty box and that's the only >> player I see penalized at the moment. >> Out here. >> Here's a chance. And >> Tr is coming charging back in. So it's >> No one else is out. So >> even strength >> right >> in front. >> Another goal. >> Just out of the reach of Parsons. He guessed high. He guessed right, but he just missed it. >> Yeah, I believe that was Ben Gibney with the backhand slam done. Let's watch this and see how accurate that shot is because their shooting acumen has been incredible. >> I believe it's a a right-handed

060backhand over >> the backhand. Look at this play. >> Yeah, >> look at that. >> Parsons is down on the turf. >> Yep. >> So, that is goal number 14 for Exiter. They're up by 13. North with just the one by Wilkinson. Another win and paying the prices. He's hit to the turf. Jaden Yang with a about a 95% faceoff win percentage in this game >> and with running time we've only got >> and a turnover by exit. >> 630 almost 6 640 to play. They stopped the clock. Why did they stop the clock? >> Oh, because in a penalty he shouldn't be stopping it. Should be running that clock. >> Yeah, right now. Yeah, that clock should be going and for some reason it's not. >> I mean, is it fourth quarter only? >>

061I thought it was second half. >> H Okay, >> but maybe it's fourth quarter only. I don't know. I thought after a couple of goals they've kept it go going. We'll see when the next goal is scored if they stop the clock. A flick, a rip from distance, and a clean save by Par. >> Yep. Nice save by Par. I >> was going to say I was wondering whether they were playing music over the loudspeaker at Stellas. It was John Collins's phone. >> Yeah, turn that down. >> How long you been doing this? Don't you don't you turn on silent, John? >> Vibrator silent. [laughter] How long you been doing this? Uh since actually we didn't have cell phones when I started >> cell phones back then right >> that's how long >> right >>

062wraparound no a pass toward the front of the goal but it's taken away momentarily by cell but exit gets it right back the shot from distance >> and still exit ball as the shot attempt went high >> one of the few shots that missed the entire net at that speed >> and it might be a substitute in there for exit. There's Senoich is a freshman who just took that shot >> number nine. Bluehawks with possession in front. Chuckle Wilheim. >> Yep. Wilheim. Yep. Easy shot. >> He doesn't miss many. >> Yep. Well, they're running the clock. >> They are running it. So, it's running time. So, why they didn't why they didn't run it during that penalty, I don't know. >> Yeah. Here comes the replay. And we've seen this. >> We've seen this before

063many times. >> He loves going to his left and he goes to his left again and puts on a pinpoint shot >> up in the right corner. >> Yeah. >> Faceoff fought for one by the Blue Hawks. Wilheim has it near sideline. waiting for his teammates to sprint onto the field. The offensive unit out there. Wilheim able to avoid a double team by taking it out toward midfield. >> How long I keep Wilheim on the field. >> Jard feeds it to Sam Gibney, sophomore 14 with it. Floating toward a double team and now away. Jard put it on the turf. North tried for the takeaway. Good aggressive on the ball that time, but Exit retains it. Good pass into traffic. >> Boy, >> that's our number 11 that we do not have on the roster.

064We apologize to our Blue Hawk media fans watching. They probably know who this young man is. He's had tons of quality touches today. >> And he had a great shot. Just basically a wrist shot. >> Yeah. >> You know, watch him watch him get it. Watch here. >> Takes the stick and just aims it downward. And there it is. 16 to1 for the Blue Hawks as we near the end of the third quarter. >> Clean win. >> Oh, look at this. >> Cullen Skirit. >> Look at the passing >> shot goal. >> Passing on the clean play. >> Cullen Scarret. Tonnie Graves with the goal. >> Nothing you can do. You win the faceoff, you run down, two passes, touch, touch, score. >> Yeah. And also Exit is getting some fresh legs into this game

065where it's they have that deep bench and North has uh the numbers that dictate somebody's got to play just about every minute or somebody's have to play every minute in order to feel the team. [laughter] You want to make sure you do that. Yeah. >> And downfield, >> Wilhun. >> Wilh >> picks it up. >> Yeah, he knows when to get out of dodge when he gets double and triple team. >> Back and North could not get to the ball. It was laying there for about two seconds and it was anybody's ball. They couldn't reach it. Exit is getting some new players into the game, including a few uh I think JV players we don't have a number a roster name for and number 25 would be one of those although we do have 24

066Carter Sap freshman. They they have some double uniform numbers on exit depending on whether you play offense or defense. And the pass comes back to >> the freshman grudgingly gave it up. He wanted [laughter] to take a shot. >> Yeah, he did. >> Oh, here's a nice pass. Look at that. Oh, and >> a rare miss. >> One of the rare miss for Woolheim, >> but it's still exit ball. He had a couple of players stationed back there at the end line. >> Absolutely beautiful evening. We got about a minute 20 to go and about another 12 minutes to play. So, we have about 13 and a half minutes left to play of lacrosse. John Collins and sprinting to his right trying to get a shot away. >> You know, the next time we'll be

067here it'll be cloudy and it'll be [laughter] about 45 degrees >> and maybe some drizzle >> in June. No, May. >> No, next May. Next, next week. A week from Wednesday. >> Next week, >> the battle of the bridge. >> Yep. >> Next time that's our next time here. Coasting around the edges. Ben Gibney still with it being guarded by Jake Holsy. >> Holmes forc and Holsy takes it away from him. Good play. >> Titans will have the ball down in the other end. Oh, and he gets knocked from behind and they let it go. >> There comes the flag. >> Yeah, there it is. Yeah, I didn't think they were going to let that go. >> Yep. >> Maybe a trip. >> I don't think there was any maybe about it. [laughter] I was

068thinking maybe it was a hit, but yeah, it's he knocked him down illegally. So, two players running off at once. >> They stop. They stop it for the penalty. >> I think you had two players thinking they were penalized for that. >> They stopped for penalties. I I did the game I did last week, they did not stop the clock for penalties. >> Alex Carrian is in >> That's why I'm a little miffed why they why they keep But that's what they're doing. So Alex Carrian's in the penalty turf, Tom. I don't really see a box there. So >> yeah, >> it's the honor system for the penalty box in lacrosse. Find the designated turf spot. >> That's right there. Right. You know, >> oh, that's a roller pass. Neat. Neatly done by Nick Bari.

069Finds >> And that'll do it for the quarter. >> That's it. Wow. Running time gets us right to the end of the third quarter. three quarters and it's a 17-1 game in favor of the Blue Hawks. >> Remember it was 12 nothing at half. So that was a 51 second uh third quarter with the running time. >> So on ETV, >> yeah, >> we will have the Battle of the Bridge next week. >> Three games that we know of. Three games. It'll be the uh lacrosse double header on Wednesday, May 6th. >> There will be the baseball game, which was one of our favorite events all year. Uh on May 8th, we usually see some good g some good baseball there. Although North is struggling, but South is struggling, too. Today, the combined team, they

070lost by a combined score today of let's see 21-2. Wow. >> So, that's not good. >> Yeah. >> Uh but, >> by the way, uh right now >> they'll be playing each other on Friday the 8th at 7 o'clock and then >> softball will be the following week. I believe it's a Tuesday night game that following week and that'll be at Rivier University at 7 o'clock. What What do you got, John? >> I was going to say no right now, but today um Exit Girls lacrosse played against Nashua North. Yeah, that wasn't that wasn't going to be wasn't going to be much. >> Yeah, because Exit's girls team is very good this year again, >> right? >> so it was 17 to three at Windham to start the season. They've only lost to Saggan and

071they beat Conquered Salem, London, and Winnip. So, exit girls lacrosse off to a great start. Check the standings in girls lacrosse right now. >> As we come back, John Collins >> out of the timeout. Yeah. Out of the uh break in between quarters. >> Oh, that's right. Third to fourth quarter. Portsouth 5-0. Nashville South girls 5- one. >> South girls are having a very good season. >> And sagen and exit five- one. Top of the stands. >> They have done a good job. >> Where's Portsouth, John? >> Portsouth is number one. Five and0. >> Yeah, that's it. Yeah, Portsouth is the team to beat. >> Yeah. Just a question of who the final four will be. Now, I've seen Bishop Girtton. They have not had Abby Lynn and I do not have any word as

072to when she'll return. If she has returned, we sometimes we don't get info out of Cali Santos, which is something I hope changes over the course of the second half of the year, but sometimes we do. So, but none of them have Abu. None of the game results that I've seen, including the most recent one, have had Abby Lynn in the scoring. And the game that I was at covered that they won or no, they lost, but Abu Lin did not play. Final 12 minutes of this one underway. Fourth quarter. And we start with North in possession as they move it around. on the Titans looking for a hard to find opening in this defense. Yeah, it is. >> We're watching North operate on offense, which is a good sight >> and let's see what

073they do with it. >> Looking for the open man and looking to see what they can do now. See, I wish they had done a lot of this earlier in terms of just keeping the clock down and passing, but they turn it over because they dropped the ball. >> Yeah, >> literally. And we pass it behind the net. Net minder for exit now is James Bernitch, senior net minder number 12. Got involved in the passing there to get the ball out of their own end. And down on offense again come the Blue Hawks as they flick it around. >> Oh, he wanted shot >> and off the post. Long ricochet. >> Gave it up to go over five steps to his right. >> Yeah. and missed. If he had shot it when he wanted to

074originally, I think he probably would have had it. >> Better results. >> Yeah. >> So, North has the best chance to score the first goal of the fourth quarter. >> Now, the Sun is a lot better shape then. >> Long shot save by newly into the game goalender James Bernitch. >> Yeah. >> Good to get that there. It was >> and it's probably only the fourth shot North's had all game if I'm not mistaken. who scored their goal. >> Wilkinson got it, Nick. >> That's right. Nick Wilson. Yeah. >> And a shot and a save. >> Scooped up and thrown down field. Let's see. North not able to pick up that loose ball. And now they got five blue jerseys around him. Bluehawks working at it. Still anybody's balls. >> They kick it. Did you

075see that? He kicked it. >> Might as well. >> I know it. Ball pops up in the air and grabbed by Chase Barrett. >> I love it. But unfortunately, Exodus got it. They're going to get a shot out of it. They're going to get a goal. >> Chase Barrett electrified. >> You can see how excited he is cuz he doesn't score that often. >> Right. Sophomore defenseman. It might even be the first of his career. Who knows? >> Yeah, exactly. We don't know. >> He is excited and so are his teammates and fans. >> They are celebrating like they just watching the replay game. Yes. Look at that replay. Look at them shoot it. Long stick. [laughter] Finally. >> Long stick. Yeah, >> you can hear the You can hear on off the mic. >>

076In on the team celebration down on the sideline. >> Somehow I have a feeling that when Pete Johnson goes to the editing room, some of that's going to be edited out, but I'm I'm just a guess. >> You've been on a lot of sidelines. That's why >> we are live. So, >> yes, >> just a little guess. Yeah, we're not we're not on the same um unconstrained media as John Boy. >> No, those things I don't even pay attention to that stuff. >> Yeah, lip reader. Loose ball on the turf. And it's been exit winning these all day. They got another one there. They scoop it up. That was Cullen Scarret. >> Oh, look at this >> in the middle. So he's got to track that down before it goes out of bounds and it

077sits inside the line. So exit controls >> North needed to pounce on that. Those kids need it. It's a loose ball. You need to grab that. >> Yeah, >> that's an opportunity. >> Jack Zack Sprag almost had the turn. >> Good defense right there by the Titans >> out in front. Try to connect with Tommy Graves. >> That's very good defense. >> Tried to cut off that pass. Now it's >> and a ripper misses left. >> Yep. They don't miss many of those. >> Nico Thomas. >> Yep. >> 758 left to play in the contest. >> Interesting positional um acronym for Nico Thomas. Short stick defense and mid middle fielder. I think it is. SSDM. >> Yeah, I've seen that before. >> You've seen it all, Tom. Yeah, >> you must all sports Tom King

078covers them all. >> Did a track meet on Saturday, John Collins? Kobe >> Perry, congratulations to Kobe Perry in in the initial heat. >> Oh, that shot was deflected >> in the initial heat >> for the 100 meter dash. Kobe Perry set a record that he had been chasing for a while. The National North record for the 100 meter dash. >> Anytime. >> 108. >> Yeah. >> 100 yards. 108. >> 100 meter. That's even more impressive. >> 100 meter dash. 108. >> So I asked him, >> I came down to see him a couple hours after he did it. I asked him, I said, >> "What was and this is in the story." >> Uh, you can look it up online subscriber. What I said, what was your first thought? because the record was 109.

079I said, "What was your first thought when you woke up this morning?" >> He said, "108." [laughter] It was great. Great quote. >> I bet it was >> fabulous. >> I bet it was true. >> I looked at him and I said, "Kid, you're you're you're you're my hero." >> Yeah. >> I said, "You're right. It writes itself. Writes itself." >> Yeah. >> 108. You get He didn't hesitate. He did not hesitate. Usually a kid will say, "Uh, >> that was an easy one for him." Yeah. >> Easy one. 108. >> Congratulations to Kobe. I know his father. It's uh Reggie Perry. >> You know what he's thinking about now? >> State championship is what he wants. >> 107. >> 10. No, 106. [laughter] 10 >> 10 six. >> He thinks 106 is what he's

080going to need. >> Within reach. Yeah. >> Yeah. Well, he says that's what he's going to need. >> Okay. Wow. >> He's got it all mapped out. Kobe Perry, who uh was told academically he wouldn't be able to get into schools a year or two ago, he's been accepted at 10 schools. >> 10. >> And he has a chance possibly to walk on for football. We saw Kobe Barry return kicks for National North. >> Yeah. >> He has a chance to uh to walk on at Yukon because of his speed and he also wants to do track in college wherever he goes. So, he's got a lot he's got a lot going for him, right? >> He sure does. Yeah. >> And I watched him run the 200. The kid is an athlete. I w

081stay later for the 200. Kid just to see him run. The kid is an athlete. >> Great kid. I interviewed him. John, you you know the story. I you you that that game that that interview with the uh with the youth football kids, remember that you you point to all the time. >> Yes. Yeah. >> And he was one of them. >> Oh, right. Yeah. Kobe Perry. Wow. doing great things and we'll keep track of his Yeah. >> college career. >> Yep. So, that's one of the sports that I ended up. >> Yeah. >> A little different. >> Very. >> I skipped the day of baseball at home. >> Oh, where was that at that track meet? >> National North. It's the annual National North Invitational. >> A lot of people do. A lot of

082people, a lot of cars, >> right? >> Get in and out. [laughter] >> Don't wait for it to end. You'll be waiting a while. >> Under five minutes to go in this one. 18-1. Blue Hawks with the lead. North threatening to score their second goal. Loose ball in front of the net minder. Bernitch scooped up by who? >> Oh, there's a hit. It's going to be a flag. No. Yes. No. I haven't seen it. >> It's just a violation, I guess, instead of a penalty, but it's definitely North Ball shot. >> Clean save by Bernett. >> You couldn't pay me enough to be able to cross. >> Right. The padding is minimal. >> Patting is >> ball is heavy and it hurts. >> And we know what h we know why. We know what happened

083now to Rich Mcdana. >> Oh, [laughter] >> we know why he is the way he is. >> Shots fired. >> Too many shots taken by Rich Mcdana. Taken at Rich Mcdana. >> So, uh, Tom has a story about taking a golf ball. I a golf ball. A lacrosse ball. >> Yeah. I went right behind the net. Somebody said, "You got to be careful about that." I said, "Don't worry, I'm fine." Yep. Right. took one right off the shin. >> Shin. >> Yeah. Lasted uh the pain lasted about three weeks. >> As did the bruise probably. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Wow. >> And these goalies out there taking shots all day long. There's a shot goal. >> There it is for an exit. >> And that might be Well, that's either Ben Gibney, Gavin Smith. I

084got two number fives. The lowerassman is Gavin Smith. He'd be >> I'd say it's him. >> Yeah. Because um see what happens, John, is these shots are a lot harder because they skid a lot on the turf. Even the ground balls because of the because of the field turf. >> Yeah. >> You know, back in the, you know, back in our days, they played it on grass. >> Clumpy grass. >> Yeah, exactly. Slow and clumpy. >> Slow slow the game down. 309 left to play in the game. 19-1. >> Exit's been doing them a favor a little bit by getting the players in. >> Another goal. Well, not that time. Now they reach the 20 mark. Another player that probably doesn't score that much. Number 27 is Cullen Scarret, sophomore midfielder with the goal off

085another faceoff win by Jaden Yang. He is a a weapon for this Blue Hawks team. I think he's taken every single faceoff in this 20 to1 game right now with two and a half minutes to go >> trying to win another. And he does. Sun going down behind the far trees on the Nashville River. >> Can you just get video of Jaden Yang doing winning faceoffs and try to figure out some formula to come back? >> Yeah. I mean, they look at it all the time, right? >> Yeah. >> They look at the move, they look at the tendencies, they work on it. That's >> because that's just >> when you're a faceoff guy, that's your job. That's your main job, >> you know? >> I was borderline unfair. I mean, most games like the

086one basketball team scores, the other basketball team gets it. Not in lacrosse. You have to win every faceoff and uh you might not get the ball back for >> possession is possession is 10 of the long. >> Yeah, you might not get ball back for quarters. And Jaden Yang has it getting bodied over the sideline. He tried to stay and he did. A lot of North players around the ball and that heavy hit dislodges it. >> A push out of bounds. That's a turnover. It's almost like sumo wrestling on the sideline. You can't let yourself get pushed out of bounds. >> Right. Exactly. >> And we're getting physical now. >> Oh yeah. No, because you got kids who don't normally play and they're in there. Oh, whack. Trying to whack with the stick. >> Yeah.

087Fortunately, he didn't make contact. >> But you know what? That's illegal play cuz you're trying to hit the stick and knock the ball out is what what they're doing. >> Yeah. One, one minute to play in the game. One minute. >> One minute on a in a dominating victory for exit. And in a game of frustration for NSHA North, 20-1. I think North knew what they had in store for them. They were hoping just to keep it to a minimum, which is why I would have maybe just kind of get possession, just kind of hold the ball for a while, but they want want their kids to to play the game the way, you know, play it normally. >> Yeah. >> 30 seconds as we will wind it up here and that'll I bet that

088score will stay the way it is at 20 to one. >> You're right. >> And that'll do it here at Stellos Stadium. 13 seconds to play. Let's see. Hope I I wouldn't take a shot. Just Just run the ball around, >> right? >> Let's run around. Ball's loose. Picked up. Three, two, one, and that will do it everybody here at Stella's Stadium. The final score is Exit 20 and Nasha North one. We'll say good luck to the Blue Hawks in their next game against Bedford two days from now. >> It's going to be a good game. >> Yeah, >> very good game. >> And we look forward to doing the Battle of the Bridge North South next week. >> Yeah. On May 6. >> On May 6th, >> four and six o'clock. >> Yes. >>

089Here at Stellos. >> That's Tom King. I'm John Collins. We want to thank Jack Miller and Jimmy Ahern. Dan Young back in the studio and our executive producer Pete Johnson for bringing you this telecast. Thanks to our Bluehawk Media viewers for watching and Nasha ETV of course as well.
