001Good morning SAU 16. This is Chris Andreski, superintendent of schools, and here I am for 60 in 16, and I am with some of our PTO presidents from our elementary school to support them and thank you for the amazing work they'll do. I'm going to have them introduce themselves and their school and something that they're doing this year that is very interesting to support the work in all of our schools. Hi everyone. My name is Kate Kennedy and I'm from Newfield's Elementary School. Uh first I want to thank Ali Johnson who is co-president with me but she was unable to come today. Um so if you can see my shirt, I'm actually wearing what I'm going to talk about today. Our school works together with faculty, students, and a local designer to come up with

002a new mascot and a new logo for the mascot. And the initiative that the PTO did was we purchased some swag for the students and the faculty so that they could celebrate um the Blue Jays which is our new mascot. So. Hi everybody. My name is Sarah Dewitt and I am the PTO president at Exeter and our focus has been building community through hosting events at the school. So this could be everything from our outdoor movie night to our glow party which is a black light dance party that we transformed the gymnasium into and have games and raffle prizes and uh lots of music and neon decorations and all that. Um but our biggest event that's coming up is the Get Fit in May uh 5K and fun run race which is on Saturday, May

00316th. And this event not only brings together teachers, students, and their families but it also um reaches out to the broader community where sponsors can actually local businesses can sponsor the event. So by hosting these events, we not only build community but we also support our schools. Hi there. I am Jessie Hook from Strahm Memorial School. I am co-presidents with Gail Verdakis who cannot be here today. Some of the things we are working on this year is partnering with our teachers to help support our school. We have purchased art supplies for Miss Dow. We just recently purchased 25 books for our SMS library. We have contributed to the Educational Passages Mini Boat Project which our fourth graders are doing. It's a tremendous project. They're hoping to launch the boat in the coming weeks and track

004it for the coming years. And we've also supporting field day by purchasing popsicles. Hi everyone. Um I'm Heather Allen. I am the PTO president over at East Kingston Elementary School. Um our PTO would like to highlight um the amazing work that we have been doing with our enrichment program this year. Um we are a unique um school in that we have no after school programming and we have um a fully PTO staffed um after school enrichment. So our enrichment is not done through our um teachers and staff. Um so because of that, we have been working really hard um myself and the um enrichment coordinator along with the rest of our board have been working really hard to bring um different after school enrichment programs to our students this year. Um flower pot painting, um

005they 3D printed a replica of a T-Rex skull, um take apart club, um we have just been really focused on that this year. Thank you all for your amazing work. I also wanted to say thank you and gratitude to Amy Nelson who's at Sweasey Central School and Nick Sabastowski who is at Kensington for the work you're doing. Thank you for uh supporting us with our financial needs and also pushing our students' uh curiosity outside and inside the classroom. We couldn't do without you. So thank you very much and SAU 16, we'll see you in a couple weeks.
