001Good morning SAU-16. This is Superintendent of Schools Chris Andriski and here I am at Seacoast School of Technology with Principal Dr. Pam Carr and she's going to talk to us a little bit about some of the amazing things that are could be coming our way at SST. Thank you Thank you, Dr. Andriski. I'm really excited to talk about the possibility of an electrical program here at SST starting next school year. On Tuesday, March 10th, on the ballot, our operating budget does include the addition of an electrical program here at SST. The importance of that is twofold. One, to offer our students a great um career choice here at SST and learning some high skill, high wage um opportunities. And then the other reason is that it's going to help our community. We are in dire

002need of uh licensed electricians in this state and especially in this area with um new buildings happening and then it just increase in increasing um people retiring from the electrical trade. So, we really hope to help our community out by adding this program. Dr. Carr, I know you've been getting some initial numbers in. Can you just kind of share the Is there a major interest from our our our schools that are looking to do this uh type of trades? Yes, we um are currently enrolling um for next school year and right now the If we have the electrical program next year, we will actually have a waitlist for the program. That's how much interest there is um in electrical program. So, we're super excited about it. Excellent. I think anytime we can incorporate the trades

003and give students more opportunities, it's amazing. Had an electrician at my house yesterday. I know the cost, so uh this is no no better timing and I hope everyone comes out on March 10th and uh gets a chance to vote. So, thank you all SAU-16 and we will see you again in a couple weeks.
