And welcome in to Bedford High School here at Bedford High School gymnasium where the Bedford Bulldogs will be taking on the visiting Extra Blue Hawks. The Bulldogs coming in with a 7-0 record and the Exra Blue Hawks with a 5 and2 tally. We are expecting a good match tonight. The Bulldogs again undefeated so far having won the Queen City Invitational Basketball Tournament over the holiday break. My name's Cory Mustard Tiger. I'm joined this afternoon, excuse me, this evening by Bill Carter. Bill, >> not a bad start to the season for Coach Moreno and these Bulldogs. This is a very young team, but they have starting to age themselves to be able to play. And tonight, [snorts] they're going to have a good test against this junior and senior ladened exit team. Coach Holmes bringing in

a good squad again, 5-2. They've had some ups and downs. They're averaging 59 points per game and letting up just 50 as the Bulldogs giving up just 52.8. Their defense leading the way. But they're not afraid to score points either. They have 72.6 six on average in league play. So, going to be a good match this evening as we get the starting lineups. The Bulldogs in their white home uniforms. Little red trim with black lettering. >> The Exer Blue Hawks in there away navy blue with white trim, white numbers and lettering. >> [applause] >> Yeah, Cory, as I noticed the starting there, it's a senior lad and starting five here for Exit. [applause] Exit again had some ups and downs. They won their first two of the season there in December, but lost to Portsouth.

A strong squad in Portsmouth, the only other undefeated team here in division one, then lost their second one to do just last week on the ninth. The Bulldogs again undefeated through December. They had a good good few games before the Queen City Invitational, finishing at 3-0 in December before the holiday tournament and then have been doing well here in January, too. Good wins over Central Pinkerton by 31. Another 30-point victory over Manchester Memorial and then a tighter one against Winunnit. [applause] Getting the starting lineups now as we mentioned. The Bedford Marching Band will be performing the national anthem momentarily as we are getting ready to kick off a holiday weekend. Bill, do you have any plans? You doing anything fun? >> No, I It's called work. >> Work? [laughter] >> Lots of fun. Yeah, unfortunately

[snorts] in the food business, nobody takes uh weekends and holidays off. >> Well, we'll get back to that. We'll get back to this game after the anthem with Division One basketball action here from Bedford High School. We honor her playing our national anthem performed tonight by the Edford High School Cafe. [music] [music] Heat >> [music] [music] >> up here. [music] Heat. [bell] [music] Heat. [music] Again, [applause] a nice job by the Exit or excuse me, the Pedford Pep Band on the national anthem this evening. We do want to make sure as we get things started that we at BCTV and WBH. We're ready to get things tipped off. 8 minutes on the board and we're ready to get this started broadcasting tonight on BCTV channels 8 and 1072. We also welcome in our fans over in Exit, New Hampshire on Bluehawk Media. [music] Bill, wow, we're getting ready to start here. >> Great Friday night. Take take a little time and listen to the undefeated Bulldog men here. >> We'll have a little different tone to our broadcast tonight as we are not on radio, so we don't have to be as detailed in the playbyplay. >> Well, Griffin up top. Here's Brown. Manon man here. Defense for Bedford. >> They find an open shooter. No, can't get it. >> Okonnell comes down with the rebound.

Luke that is scrambles into the corner. Here's Oor out on the break. Shakir now he kicks back for Logan Okonnell. Three-pointer no good. Hustling for the rebound. Ellour. Nice job by Landon Ellour to hustle there. Get possession and bounce it off the exit defender. He earns another possession for these Bulldogs. Shakir takes it to the middle, finds the open shooter on the far side. Logan Okonnell can't bury it. >> Little cold rim here tonight. >> Tomasi comes down >> with the rebound. Yeah. O for O for O. Everybody's missing. >> Shot here far side. Ag Griffith a little strong there. Doesn't even draw iron. Ellour away with the defensive board. Luke Oonnell thought about it. the extra Blue Hawks in a 3-2 defense here. >> Oh, whoa. >> Looked like he got hacked on the

wrist there. No call. >> We looked like it from here that he got a hard hat tip there on the wrist. So, let's see what happens. >> Good defense there by the Bulldogs. Tipped out of bounds off of Brown. So, the Bulldogs will get it. Nice job by Logan Okonnell down on the block. He's normally a guard and was taking care of that low right position. Good defense on the block and forced to fade away for the exit blue hawks. >> Just trying to get things here. Five shots taken so far and nothing through the rim through the basket there. So, let's see what happens here. Shakir who 27 points at that Pinkerton game just a couple games ago. >> That's good opportunity for the Bulldogs feel it out here. Turnover there, but now another

one quickly over to Ellour. Ooric offensive. >> There we go. All right. >> Gets a little up and down there in the middle. >> Going to go there for two. >> Jack Tibido will draw his first on the exit defensive side. 603 remaining here in the first. We're still scoreless. How many times you say that, Bill? >> Not often. Well, not with this Bedford team. Uh they they need to start off quick here. There we go. Get the first one down for Ryan. Ryan Oor for his first point of the game. >> Ror takes a couple dribbles. First second one is strong. So >> one for two. >> One zero. We got a soccer score here two minutes into this game. >> Here's Griffith up top for the Blue Hawks. Stops just inside the three-point

line. Kicks it near side. Here's Tibido. drives hard and he's going to get fouled on the way to the rim. >> He's going to go to the line for two. >> Oor picks up the foul >> and Tibido will see if he can better Oor at the line. >> Tibid the 67 senior misses the first one. >> Well short on that one. Barely draws iron. So he'll see if he can improve on the back end of two >> again. The Bulldogs 7 and0 coming in. >> There we go. >> Tibido hits the back end. 1-1 your score. Still soccer scores here tonight. >> Bulldogs hanging with Portsouth with those undefeated records. Both 7-0 leading division one. a few different teams with just two losses. And now Elmore is going to catch a foul. >> He

looked a little surprised. It sounded like seemed like that might have been all ball in there as Elmore >> didn't think he'd be going to the line, but he is. >> And that's the second on Tibido. >> Big man picking up two quick fouls here in the first two and a half as coach Holmes looks down the bench and considers a potential substitution. Ellour hits the front end. working with three officials here tonight. Cory, everything's going to get seen. >> Of course, you would make that observation having many years of experience in the officiating world. Appreciate you bringing that experience to our broadcast tonight. Just under five and a half to go here in the first quarter. 3-1 is your score. Yes, I said 3-1. It's not lacrosse, it is basketball. It's been >> We're

up. We're up the hockey score now. >> Griffith gets free. Air balls the jumper. Elmore there on the backside. He pulls it down and gets back into transition for the Bulldogs. Shir up top. Nice ball fake. Gets Elmore a little bit of space. He draws two. And now Sha will pull for three. No good. >> Griffith with the rebound. Kicks near side. Nice eyes. Finds his teammate Jackson McDonald and he gets a layin. 3-3. We're tied. Logan Oonnell draws a double. Shakir kicks it far side. Luke O' Connell pulls from three. He's off. Oor throws it off. His teammate did a nice job to scramble and get possession. Now Griffith will pull for three. No good. Ellour tears the rebound away. Still tied. Oor down on the baseline. Draws a double. Pivots to the middle.

Can't get it to go. And now that goes off or >> tough call on that baseline, but Oor seemingly was the last to touch it. He does not argue. We'll first see our first substitution of the game as Jack Tibido with those two fouls will take a seat into the game is Tyler Ree. >> Stand out on the football team as well. Pull up shot here. No good. Griffith with an offensive board. Nice little feed down low and Re will put one in for two. Blue Hawks ahead by two. 5-3 is your score. Four minutes left here in this first quarter. Okonnell gets to the lane. Euro step gets deep blocked out quickly. Here's McDonald again. Challenges Shakir can't get it to go. Offensive rebound two now. Re can't get it to go. Okonnell reaches

over that baseline and finally finds it. Here's Ellour out on the break. Leans in >> tries to draw the foul. No foul call, which is fine. There wasn't much contact, but Elmore finishes on the break. 55 is your score. Started a little slow and now we've started to pick it up in transition. Here's Ree down on the block. We'll take it back out. Luke O' Connell tries to put some pressure on Bedford teams averaging 18 for a quarter. It's a That's a low score. >> Down low. Little flop down low as they tried to get the foul on Brown. He gets a rebound. >> His put back is no good. And now we're going to get a foul down low. [applause] >> That'll be on 21. >> Tamasi will pick up his first >> Tomasi

for his first foul. >> Third team foul there. [applause] We got a timeout by coach Mareno. He wants to talk some things over. 55 is your score. We're over halfway through this first quarter and as you said, a little unusual for such low scoring thus far in this game. [music] >> Well, BCTV's live channels and on demand content are now easier to access at your fingertips than ever before. Bedford Community Television is available from free download on Apple iOS and Android. Download the Bedford Community Television app from your app store today. >> [music] >> That mobile app is really nice. I'm not sure if you've been in it. Just if you haven't, just lie and say yes. Okay. >> You have been in it? >> Yes, I have. >> Okay, good. >> It's It's a

great app. Believe me, >> I really like how they have the archive footage of, you know, the games throughout each season. You can go back and pick something up. And we're back underway here. Under three minutes to go in the first quarter, tied at five. Extra Blue Hawks visiting the Bedford Bulldogs. Another Bulldogs will attack this zone defense. Again, the Blue Hawks have been in a 3-2 pretty much all game here so far. >> Oor out onto the edge here away from Oh, Aaron pass there. >> Oor out on the perimeter looking for Tyler Picket who is fading to that far side. He's checked in >> and coach Mareno seeing if he can shoot him out of this zone defense. picker known for his three point prowess. >> That is really what the game has

turned into today is your three-point. Oh, what a fake there for a nice basket. >> McDonald for two. Gives him four. >> Little hesy dribble by McDonald with his left hand. Everybody went with the cutter behind him and he just kept that dribble alive. Shakir now down low. He gets blocked. Gets the offensive board though. Nice job to recover. Luke O' Connell for three. No good. High up for the rebound was Tamasi. Outlets it to Re. Crossover dribble through the legs. Pulls up. Too strong off the glass. Gets the rebound and the tap in. Nice job there by Re. He's got four. And now an [cheering] a silly play here by the Bulldogs. Didn't take it all the way out of bounds. So a turnover. These unforced errors are going to be a tough one

to catch up on. That's two just in the last 20 seconds. >> The Blue Hawks ahead by four. 95 is your score. Rem up top for the Blue Hawks. >> Shir will defend up top. McDonald's. Two driving scores for him. Re-pointer is no good. Rebound outside by Nicholas Meyers who's checked into the game for exiter down low on the baseline and a dunk. >> Tamasi gets free on the baseline cut >> for his first flush of the night. >> Power dribble and he raises up this exit crowd. 115 is your score. The Blue Hawks by six. Five points. Yes, five points have been scored by this Bedford Bulldog offense so far. having trouble solving this exit defense. >> Air ball by Ellour continues. >> Clear miss there by Ellour. Oh, >> got a block. >>

A block on [applause] >> Tyler Picket there. He'll pick up his first foul >> on the floor. >> Number two. >> Two on Bedford here. 101 remaining here in the first quarter. 115 your score as Luke O'Connell will take a seat. >> Coming back in is Logan O'Connell. Pickicket challenging it up top. Knew he had Shakir to help in as the Bulldogs have this two-3 defense going. Inside passing fouled on the way to the hoop. Nicholas Meyers [cheering] >> will get his two and go to the line to make it a three-point play here. Three points the hard way for Meer as he has the opportunity as he goes to the stripe. >> 52 seconds left here in the first. Coach Marino's not panicking at this point. He's had some open looks from long range.

They just haven't gone as Meyers can't knock down the freebie. Eight-point lead for Exit. 135. Okonnell back to Shir up top. Shakir cuts through, drives baseline, now finds Logan Okonnell on the wing. Probes, dishes, pick it back up top. Logan Oonnell looked like he got it blocked there. Well short. Meyers up quick over Ree settles. They're going to take the last possession of this first quarter as coach Holmes has guided this exit blue hawk squad to an eight-point lead here late in the first Meyers up top. Tamasi Re 4 seconds left. Time's getting short. Takes two steps, but he traveled >> with.7 seconds. The Bulldogs will have very limited options here on this inbound, but they did lock down. Their defense has been good. They've only given up 13, but their offense has been quite

marginal. Get it off Ellour. The half court heave after one. [cheering and applause] 135 is your score. The Exit Blue Hawks by eight. [music] >> The uh scoring update won't take very long, right, Bill? >> No. For Bedford Oor Brian Oor one point and Landon Ellour, four points. >> Wow, that was quick. How many does that make? >> Five. >> There you go. Appreciate that. Five points again for the Bulldogs. Only 13 for the Blue Hawks. Ree with four. McDonald with four. Two each for Meyers and Tomasi. and then one for Jack Tibido that makes up their 13. Again, we want to make sure that we're thanking our underwriters. Both BCTV and WB&H would like to thank them for [music] supporting our live sports coverage. That's Primary Bank, Northeast Delta Dental, the Wix Insurance Group,

Interim Healthcare of Manchester, [music] Nelson Real Estate of New Hampshire, and Murphy's Tap Room and Carriage House Event Center. So, a lot of back and forth there. The Bulldogs were getting open looks. They just weren't knocking them down. They didn't really try to get inside very much [music] either. A lot of those shots were coming from long range. >> Uh Bedford, they they rely a lot on their long shots there. And you I see Exit just really reacting better to that. Not saying it's a high scoring quarter, but uh there needs to be some additional work to uh see if we can get that ball into the basket this quarter. >> Eight minutes back on the board. Logan Okonnell looked to go for three. Takes two strong steps. Can't get to that reverse layup. >>

Rebound fought for and we have a jump ball. That'll be exit ball as the possession arrow favors them. Oor was tied up with Tamasi there on that rebound. And now the Bulldogs will press. They're going to need to make something happen as they were struggling through that first quarter. Three-pointer on the way and good. [cheering] Ben Smith burries his first bucket of the game. And now the extra Blue Hawks force another turnover. Smith almost turns it over there as Okonnell tried to step in. Re >> gets the ball wedged. That's always funny in this basketball game when the ball gets wedged. Jump ball and again the >> ball will go to >> Arrow favors the Bulldogs. >> 165. >> Wow. Exit by 11. 710 left in this second quarter. Shakir down in the corner. Looked

like he might have dragged a foot. Pickicket will pull from three and it's good. >> That's the spark the Bulldogs will need. We'll see how far that spark carries them. >> 168 your score as the Blue Hawks are ahead by eight. Nice job by Ellour on the far side getting his hand in the passing lane. We're going to see Carter Stewart checking in for the Bulldogs for Ali Shakir. Raymond Plant getting some time here for the Blue Hawks as well. Here's Jackson McDonald's up top running the show. >> Kicks to the corner. >> Okonnell tries to reach in. No foul call. Little shoulder-to-shoulder action. Ree, he'll take too many steps and gets called for the travel. [applause] >> Ag Griffith will check back in as Raymond Plant takes a seat for the Blue Hawks. >>

Little man-on-man defense there. It's proven a couple turnovers traveling here over the last minute. >> Coach Moreno knew he needed to change something up and a little more urgency on defense. Little fullourt fresh trying to get a couple of turnovers and some easy buckets. Pickicket tries far side just too high for Stewart. McDonald dribbles into the middle. Kicks far side. Griffith for three. Too short and now out on the run. Here's Okonnell. He gets blocked from behind. Nice job chasing that down was Tamasi. Looked like he might have had a chirp to Jackson. No good. Matt McDonald. Here's Ree takes a second. Tamasi baseline jumper way too strong. Ellour some back and forth action here. Stewart looked like he took an extra step. He'll find Oor deep in the corner. Stewart will pull from three.

Too strong. Oor with the board. Stewart again. Too short that time. Oor with another board. Boys hustling everywhere. >> Oh, [cheering] >> he gets called for the travel. Travel. >> Tough one there. Coach Marino thought he kept that pivot foot down, but the far side official did not agree. The travel is called. Five and a half to go here in this first half. 168 is your score. The Blue Hawks by eight. >> Bulldogs trying to ramp up the defensive pressure. Trying to draw the foul. There was Brown. Chasing down the defensive board is Stewart and he gets called for the travel. Got his feet tangled up. Falls to the ground and it's exit ball. Michael Burke will inbound getting a little time. Brown pulls from just inside the three-point line. No good. >> That was

a push by 21 exit right there gave him the pure advantage. >> Logan Oonnell drives to the middle. Gets it up and off the glass, but he can't get it down. AG Griffith now out on the break. Nice little pass backside. Jackson McDonald right there to finish. He has six. 188. The Blue Hawks by 10. Bulldogs having a heck of a of a time solving this Blue Hawk defense. Again, relying on their outside shooting, which just has not produced for them tonight. Here's Ellour getting inside, and that's what they need. A little bit better inside presence. He took it strong up over the defender. >> Elmore now has six. >> Six. >> Four and a half to go in this first half. >> McDonald gets it down low. Tipped away by Oor. Nice job with

the big man in his hands. Now kicking to the corner. Here's Stewart. Too strong there for the rebound. Oor. He's there for the put back. has three now >> and the Bulldogs with a mini burst there have brought back to within six but they're still struggling on that offensive side. >> A quick 6 run here. So, uh we'll see what they can draw up. >> If you're enjoying the game, check out more BHS Sports action from Bedford Community TV on your Apple TV or Roku device. Download the app to watch the next game live on the big screen. Yeah, you're absolutely right. They're trying to loosen things up, but outside shooting, Bill has not been great for the Bulldogs tonight. They've gotten a couple offensive boards and have driven to the hoop. Gotten some stuff

inside, but three-point shooting has been lacking. >> Yes, it has. But, uh, we know this team, if they continue to do what they do, they're not undefeated for a reason. Uh, playing some tough games. uh slow starts, fast starts, but tonight, you know, they're they're within earshot going [snorts] uh as we are four minutes into the second quarter. They sure with are within uh earshot, I would say, striking distance as they apply fullcourt pressure here again. Tibido has checked back in for the Blue Hawks with those two fouls. Relatively clean game so far. Only three total fouls for the Blue Hawks and two for the Bulldogs. Tibido up top again. Dishes three-pointer on the way. Two strong. Pulled down by Stewart. Nice job tracking that one down. Luke O'Connell will pull from three. Good >>

there. Good. >> That's the stroke they're looking for. >> That's the first basket there for Okonnell. >> And it's back to within three. Three and a half to go after a dismal start to this game. [cheering] The Bulldogs just a three-point basket away. Griffith Brown, he'll shoot the three. Too strong. Good box out down low. Tracked down by Boschan. Ali Shakir far side. Luke O' Connell draws the D. Baseline runner. Good. [cheering] Okonnell now with five quick points. Bedford within one with three minutes to go here in the second quarter. >> Oh, nice defense there. >> Griffith runs into the double team. Ellour comes away with it. The Bulldogs have the opportunity to go ahead here. Luke O' Connell will settle things back down. Oshiman inside. Back to Luke O' Connell for three. Too short.

Place would have been crazy if that had gone down. Jackson McDonald now up top. Two and a half to go here in this first half. McDonald looking to settle things down there. He does. Gets inside. Brown. Back to Griffith. Chased off the three. Now inside to Jackson. McDonald gets it to go down. McDonald has been a nice spark for this Blue Hawks offense. He has eight now as the Blue Hawks back on top by three. Ellour baseline cutter. Luke O'Connell is going to get fouled on the way to the rim. It looked like up top. Tibido had it pinned against the backboard, but the foul is down low. Michael Burke picks it up and Luke Oonnell will go to the line. >> First foul here in the second quarter. As you said, a very relatively

clean game so far. >> Okonnell will calm things down. Takes a few dribbles. Deep breath. Bends his knees. First is on the way. And good. [applause] >> Six for Okonnell. Carter Stewart checks out. >> Lo or excuse me, Ali Shakur back in. 203 left here in this first half of a back and forth affair. The Bulldogs have done well to get back to within a basket as Luke O Connell misses the second of two. Jackson McDonald now up top. Bulldogs have bounced into their man-to-man defense trying to get a little more pressure on the ball and force some turnovers. Here's My Meyers back for Griffith. Picks up a pick, fakes a three, kicks to Tamasi. Tamasi finds Griffith back door. Good help defense there by Ellour. McDonald off the side of the back door. Good

help defense again for the Bulldogs. Shir takes it hard. He's going to get whacked and they do call a foul. I was going to be surprised if there was no whistle. A lot of contact on Shakir as he drove hard through the lane. He does pick up a foul on Ree. So Ree's first of the game. Ellour hung out down low. Nice block down low from Tamasi. He got up high and sent it back. Tamasi defending the rim for the Blue Hawks. Ball fake. Now Meyers up top. Shakir defends McDonald. Now Ree draws Luke Oonnell. Griffith pulls from three. Too strong. Tipped back out. Myers did a nice job. Re-range jumper. Too strong. Tamasi now. Jackson McDonald can't get it. But you can't keep giving up three and four opportunities. And the Blue Hawks get

another as Ellour was standing on the baseline as he tried to gather that defensive board. Bulldogs having trouble in their own end pulling these defensive boards down. >> Griffith to the corner. Meyers for three. No good. Too strong. And finally the Bulldogs pull down the rebound but they turn it over. >> Another error there. >> Luke Oonnell was looking for Logan O'Connell on the break and Griffith was just back and nice job with his speed to track that loose ball down. And now the Blue Hawks turn it over. [applause] >> 2018 is your score. 27 seconds left here in the first, excuse me, first half. I was about to say quarter. Very low scoring affair. And that's why I was thinking quarter. Bulldogs being patient. They dish on the baseline. Air ball on the backside.

Ellour is there. He's got eight. Cleans it up as Luke O' Connell was a bit strong on his shot. 10 seconds left now. >> And they have pulled it even here. We'll see if they're going to get a shot off. >> Meyers 2 one short. No good. And despite trailing for nearly the entire first half, the Bulldogs scrape together a 15-point second quarter and come back and tie it. Nice job by the Bulldogs to give themselves a much better position heading into halftime. Heat. [applause] And welcome back here to Bedford High School, New Hampshire, excuse me, Bedford, New Hampshire at the high

school gymnasium where the Bulldogs are tied at halftime 20 to 20 against the visiting exit Bluehawks. They had uh quite the journey the first half. They trailed nearly the entire first half until very late. They scored only five points in the first quarter and yet miraculously find themselves here tied going into the third quarter. Thoughts, Bill Carter? >> Uh well, they've worked themselves out of a hole here and see if they can continue to move forward. You know, I think we've heard in in the uh halftime about the defense of the Blue Hawks and right now Bedford has not wor found a way to penetrate that that defense. We've swapped sides. We are underway. Even it's back on the board and the Blue Hawks will start things off. The Bulldogs back in a two-3 zone.

Jackson McDonald with a runner on the baseline continues where he left off. He has 10 points now. He's been powering this exit offense. Shakir now up top. Ball fake. Picks up his dribble. They get inside and that's what they need to do. Nice quick passing. They find Oor down low. He has five now. And Griffith takes his time. The Blue Hawks solve the fullourt pressure. Tamasi at the foul line. Looks for cutters. Down low. They find the big man. He turns. He gets fouled as Shakir just a little too small to defend against Tibido. You said he's 6'7 on the roster. He plays all of it >> and he'll go to the line for >> Shakir at about 5'9, you know. >> And that's on the roster. So, he's probably what 56. No, I'm just

kidding. >> First one is on the way and good for Tibido. >> His second point of the game. He was down with two fouls for most of that first half. >> One for two on the line. And in the first half, he hits both here. He has three. And the Blue Hawks back up by two. Shakira up top. The Blue Hawks have bounced to a man-to-man defense. A little unusual, somewhat surprising. Logan Oonnell up top. Spin move into the lane. Draws four and gets blocked. Back out for Ellour. [snorts] Ellour into the lane. Nice little floater. Gets it to go. He's into double digits. I was a little surprised there as they've saved the ball out of bounds was Logan O'Connell, but his foot was on the baseline and the officials apparently did not see

that. >> Jackson McDonald now in the corner. >> We won't have to go to instant replay there. >> Yeah. Good. Good. >> No, no red flag. No challenge flags for coach Holmes. >> No challenge flags. There we go. >> Brown to Griffith pulling the trigger. Tibido for three. No. >> Griffith back up. No good. And now Tamasi gets fouled on the put back. Logan Okonnell will pick up his first. [applause] Tough there on that defensive segment. Tamasi on the boards. This Bulldog defense has been having trouble on the defensive boards. >> Tamasi will try the natural three-point play >> and offensive boards tonight. So >> block there down low Ellour. But again, the Blue Hawks get yet another chance. >> They are definitely getting beat up on the boards tonight. >> That's a big squad

though. I mean, Tamasi, Tibido, Brown, they they have some size. Ellour there with the block. Shakir strips it away. Scrambles for the loose ball and he's going to get fouled. >> Good hustle play there for Shakir. And so Griffith picks up his first foul >> and the lack of size showing. Again, we we see some hype with the Bedford Bulldog squad, but they're lacking a little beef compared to this Bluehawk squad and it's showing on the on the rebound category here. We don't have official stats. Shakir dishes Ellmore into the lane. Little floater. It's good. >> That is his play tonight. Nice little floater from mid-range. Coach Moreno urging his team to get into this fullcourt press. McDonald kicks to the corner. Griffith fakes, repositions. Now back to McDonald. Three on the way. No good.

Long rebound. Logan Okonnell has it bounce out and he's going to foul Tibido who's right there. [cheering] >> Okonnell is amazed that he didn't get a foul called down him, but he's going to get his second foul. Tibido there for the put back. He has five and he'll go to the line for a free throw. What a turn [snorts] of events there. >> Right spot, right time for Tibido as that ball just kind of bounced to him. All he had to do was pivot and get to the hoop. Misses the free throw. tell you both teams definitely under 500% when it comes to uh under 50% I should say when it comes to free throws tonight. Ellour up top looking for the pick and roll. Hor slips it. Shakir now to his right. [snorts] He'll

pull from three. >> He'll hit from three. >> The Bulldogs ahead by one. First time in this game they have the lead 2928. >> First bucket there for Shakir. >> Coach Holmes will take a timeout as the Blue Hawks were struggling to solve this fullcourt defense on that time. And now the Bulldogs showing some life here in the second half. They are ahead by one. 2928. >> First lead of the game here for Bedford with 439 to go in the third quarter. They'll take their time solving this two-3 defense

as the Bulldogs are wary of baseline runners and shooters in this two-3. They need to get out and get a hand up. Here's Griffith in the deep right corner. Three on the way. No good. High for the rebound. Or can't pull it down. Nice footwork there by Tibido. Gets to the opposite side. He has seven now. And the Blue Hawks back ahead by one. >> Shir drives hard. Lefty spins. Looks for an outlet. Luke O' Connell down low. Ellour gets some space. Shakir little traffic in the lane. Nice triple move there up off the glass. Just can't get the roll. Remember third quarter. Blue Hawks hold a one-point lead. Three-pointer on the way for Re. No good. Our taps it to himself. Nice job there pulling it away from pressure and Ellour will bring it

across the timeline for the Bulldogs. Ellorthmore draws Re. Nice slip there for Oor. He gets hammered on his way to the rim. >> Tamasi will pick up his second. No easy layups as Oor will go to the line. Coach Mareno wasn't pleased about that. Thought it was a hard foul, but Tamasi looked like he was going for that ball there. >> Yeah, he was. >> Good amount of contact. Just a hard foul. Got a couple 66 plus going to the basket. So he hits his first one there. Ties the game up. >> Tied at 30. Oor with the second on the way. He has six points now. Some substitutions as Brown comes back in. Tibido will go out. for the Blue Hawks. Oor makes good on the second. He has seven. Fullourt pressure again for

the Bulldogs. Hunter in the middle. Oor in the passing lane. He has the steel. Drives hard. Spins away. Can't get it to go. And off OORC on the baseline. Bulldogs with a one-point lead. Could have stretched it out there. AOR slipped then got back to his feet and got his hand in that passing lane. Re back to Hunter now. Back to Re. He'll drive ahead. Here's Smith. Hands to Re. Look inside. Re. This pass gets all the way through to Griffith. Smith on the way. Three-pointer. No good. Griffith backside. Nice job inside. Gets it up and gets it to go. >> [cheering] >> That's Griffith's first points of the game. >> First points taking a lot of shots. >> AOR. >> Nice little hesy there. >> He'll go to the line for two. [applause] >>

Ben Smith with his hand in the cookie jar. He'll get his first as will work. Little hesitation up fake. Got the defenders to fly by and forced Smith to reach in and grab him on the wrist. 212 left in this third quarter. Oor back to the line. First one no good. He was three for four from the line and now misses three for five as he looks to get the second half. Can't get it to go, but he gets his own rebound. Back up top. Luke O' Connell. Two big steps in the lane. Great job contorting his body, avoiding pressure. And he gets it to go. [screaming] >> And they'll throw a T on Okonnell here. >> Help me explain that one. I missed it. I saw him get the bucket. What happened? >> Well,

I I think he uh kind of demonstrated that he had the basket. >> Little chirp. Little Sy. >> That's right. >> I did not see that. I looked away to write down his basket and did not see what caused that. So Re will go to the line. Technical foul will be two shots and the ball for Exit. Bulldogs went ahead 3332. And now Ree will try to get the lead back, but he misses the front end. [applause] >> Two free ones plus the ball back here >> and he gets the second end. So, five points for Ree. Tie ball game at 33. The Blue Hawks will get the possession after the technical was called on Luke Oonnell. That'll be his first foul. Hunter now in the back court. Griffin will bring it over the timeline

for exit. Hunter Tamasi Ree gets his defender in the air. [cheering] >> Okonnell will pick up his foul. >> His first. >> Re avoided it. That's his second, right? Cuz the technical counts as well. >> Yeah, you got me there. >> But that is four team fouls here in the third quarter. So, excuse me, five team fouls. So, Re will go to the line for two. front end is good. [applause] >> One more on the way >> point there. >> Out of his rhythm there. Shoots it anyway and gets it to go. >> He's talking to his teammate Griffith who is talking in his ear. I'm surprised he didn't pull it down and restart his routine. 3533 the Blue Hawks by two. Ellour far side looks to get a pick and roll. Gets to the

baseline. Shot no good. Well off coming away with it as Oor kicks it back out to Shakir. That'll settle things down. >> Case of hot potato there. >> Shir dishes. Oor spins away for pressure. Beautiful move down low. Great footwork for Ryan Oor. got all of the defenders off their feet and pivoted away from pressure back to his left side. Now here's Smith for the three. Good. [cheering and applause] His second of the night. Six points for him. The Blue Hawks back ahead by three. Shakir drives hard through the lane. Gets to the rim, but he'll get fouled. Smith will pick up his second. 101 left in this third quarter. Three-point lead for the Blue Hawks. We were tied at halftime at 20 as the Bulldogs were trailing nearly the entire first half. Scrapped their

way out of a big hole. They were trailing by 11 at one point. Were able to tie things up right before halftime. Back and forth so far here in this third quarter. Shakir makes good on both >> 3837 exit one-point lead with one minute to go. Hunter, he'll settle things. Draws the double. Rem up top now. McDonald. Here's Smith. Back to Jackson McDonald. He'll pull from three. The lefty is no good. Rebound down low. Tibido gets it put back to go. He's got nine. Eight points here in the second half for Jack Tibido. Sad a bit in the first half having picked up two early fouls. Shakir drives hard through the middle. He'll pick up another foul. That's the third on Smith. >> And that will put Sha to the line. Five fouls in this

quarter. And Shakir knew it as he was there early ready to shoot two. 27 seconds to go here in the third quarter. Shakir's first is true. Six for Shakur. See if he can uh add the extra one on here. It's on its way and it's good. Nothing but net for Shakir. He has seven. 26 seconds to go in the third quarter. >> Fullourt pressure again for the Bulldogs. They trail one. 3940. McDonald down low. Tibido takes it strong and he's gets it to go. He's into double digits with 11. Shakir now back quick. Bulldogs trail three. Shir takes it hard. Gets it. blocked right at the rim. The big boys and Shakir slow to get up at the buzzer can't get it to go, but the Blue Hawks [cheering] >> will take a three-point lead

after three. 4239 is the score. That was the highscoring quarter that we've expected as the Blue Hawks more than double their output from the first half. 22 points that quarter. 056As we take a look at the uh score here, Alli Shakur with seven, Tyler Picket with three, eight points for Luke Okano, nine for Ryan Oor, 12 for Landon Ellour, giving me 39 points. >> Two two point scorers on the exit Bluehawk side in double digits. That's Jack Tibido with 11. Jackson McDonald with 10. Tyler Ree has seven. Two points a piece for Griffith and Tamasi. Ben Smith, two three-pointers puts him at six. 4239 as we start this fourth quarter. The Bullhawk, excuse me, the Bulldogs, not the Bullhawks, the Bulldogs will trail by three as they get things underway here in the fourth. Bedford taking a nice easy time, making sure they get a good offensive possession. Oors baseline jumper no good. Pulled down by Brown on the backside. Huxley Brown took a smack in

the face too. Re to Brown far side back to Re. Picks up the pick. Takes his two steps. Can't get it to go. Tamasi right there for the put back. He's got six. [cheering] >> Oor Logan Oonnell. Ellore fakes, gets it inside, will draw the foul. Huxley Brown will get the foul. His first of the night. Nice patience by Ellour inside. Good footwork. Good hesitation. Pivoted away from pressure. had a nice up fake to get these Blue Hawks up off their feet. It looks like that trend is is continuing as the aggressive defense has yielded several blocks. But this Bulldog offense has been nice using their up fakes. Ellour one for two from the line. He has 13. Jackson McDonald picks up a pick at half court. Dishes down low. Reverse layin. Tibido. He has

05813. Ellour look like he must come down awkwardly. He's holding his ankle. He'll go to the to the bench as Picket will come in. And that's a tough one there for the Bulldogs. He's really barely putting pressure on that. >> You know, your top scorer for the Bulldogs with 13. >> Likely rolled an ankle. We'll see if he can shake that off. Perhaps get some tape. See how serious that is. Hope the best for Ellour. Pick it in. Shir brings it across the timeline. And now the Bulldogs are really going to have to focus on that rebounding aspect, specifically on the defensive side of things. Small lineup for them with Pickicket, Shakir, and Logan Okonnell. They get an offensive board here. Back out top. Look O'Connell buries it. He's got 11. Bulldogs back to within

three. 4643. Tip it out into the middle. [cheering] Brown can't handle it. Okonnell draws the foul going to the hoop. [applause] That's going to be on Tibido. That's his third. Logan O'Connell will go to the line. Is he scoreless tonight? Yeah, that is a bit foul of a surprise. >> First opportunity for Logan O'Connell and he misses the front end. >> Logan Okonnell, one of the leading scorers for this Bulldog team. Not getting as many opportunities here. He goes one for two. >> First point of the game. >> Bulldogs back to within two. 4644. Shir comes up with the steal. Here's Okonnell again. Takes it hard and we're tied. 46 all. >> You got him mad. You got him mad there. >> I think so. He heard me say he hadn't scored so he scored

The Bulldogs are ahead by two. >> Jackson McDonald for three. Can't get it. Tipped back out by Re. And another opportunity for the Bulldogs. They're getting destroyed on the rebounds. We don't have official stats, but I think it's 400 rebounds to one. >> Ree up top. Ree gets blocked right to Tamasi down low. He'll flush it. [cheering and applause] Eight points for Tamasi. I think that's his second dunk of the game

if I recall. First half he had a throw down as well. >> All right, 423 to go. Fourth quarter. We're all tied up. >> Shir up top corner. Luke O' Connell. One-handed push pass up top. 064the way. 13. The big man finding some room down low getting some offensive putbacks. Jackson McDonald with 10. Tamasi with eight. Ree with seven. And this is a game down to the wire here. 5148. Three and a half to go in this game. The Bulldogs will inbound on the far side. >> Rebounding the key to this game and Bedford is definitely not ahead on that number right there. >> Yeah, I mean I a 400 to one might have been a slight exaggeration, but the >> you're up by one or two. >> Yeah, the Blue Hawks definitely leading the way on the boards. Okonnell gets in the lane, gets it to roll around the rim and fall. He's got seven. The Bulldogs by five. >> All in the fourth quarter for Okonnell here. >> Double team

far side. Re gets in trouble and he won't. >> Yeah. [applause] >> This home crowd getting excited. >> And R urging his teammate saying, "Hey man, we need some help back here. He picks up his fourth. >> Wasn't that on four? No. >> Nope. 23. He picks up his fourth. I thought the

same down low. I thought Griffith might have been reaching in, but that's not how they called it. >> That's why I should be writing in pencil, not pen. >> Whoopsie. >> Logan Oonnell up top, looks for the pick and roll, spins back through in the lane, gets blocked by Griffith. He scrambles for the rebound, but it comes out to Jackson McDonald. He dishes. Griffith for three. Short. >> Tyler Picket tries to bat it away. >> It goes right to a Blue Hawk offensive player. And now another possession for exit. >> 220 to go. Five-point lead for the Bulldogs. >> McDonald three-pointer. Good. [cheering] McDonald with 13 brings the Bluehawks back to within two. Two minutes to go. Two-point lead for this Bulldog squad. Shakir is going to check back in. Logan Okonnell up top. Griffith

will defend. Ellour hesitation takes a big step through the lane. Floater is good. Ellour with 15. Great footwork there on a gimpy ankle for Ellour. >> Into the middle. [applause and cheering] >> Little wraparound poke from behind. >> Really felt like he didn't have much other choice. Needed to be aggressive on the defensive end. So, Tibido picks up his fifth. We'll get an administrative timeout as coach Holmes will take a minute to try to figure out his substitution. >> Actually, he's going to put the sub in first before the team can take that timeout. >> I think he was calling for a full timeout. >> There's always usually a delay where they get a chance to chat things over. I don't know officially whether allowed to take that, but now Coach Holmes signals for the timeout. 55 53 42 seconds left as the Bulldogs

hold a two-point advantage. Tibido has fouled out. He'll sit down with 13 points. 12 here in this second half. He came alive. The big boy filling it up down low. And now coach Moreno sits his team down and wants to talk through having some composure, maximizing this offensive possession, and closing this game out for the W. Actually, that's that was the fourth foul this quarter on exit. So, if there's a good point, one more foul with Bedford on the line. >> So, the Bulldogs will want to try to keep good foul shooters in possession of the ball. They'll go with Ellour, Logan Oonnell, Ali Shakir, Ryan Oor, as well as Luke O'Connell for their five. Griffith, Brown, McDonald, Green, and Tamasi will take the floor for the Blue Hawks. Tamasi lighting things up here tonight.

[cheering] Swarmed under. Oor. Now here's Okonnell. Avoids the double. Nice job by Jackson McDonald stepping back in the lane. Under 20. Oh, that was a travel. >> Couple extra steps there. Not called. Re Griffith. Now we get a timeout. Coach Holmes will take the timeout. And yes, you're right. Brown got the ball. He actually just signaled travel to his teammates. I think he knew he took some steps.

Nothing was called. >> The Blue Hawks trail by two. They have possession with 10.4 seconds remaining. Let's see what defensive wrinkle Coach Moreno comes out. >> Are you going man-to-man? Are you staying in your zone? Are you trying to double as quickly as possible? >> I I I think uh what they've been playing with that heavy defensive man on man double teaming. 10 seconds to go in the game that that you got to that's a hard time in the college game. We don't get to put it out here at the 48t mark. Uh so >> so now we see what happens. The Blue Hawks have the opportunity to tie or even go ahead with a three-pointer. >> If you're Coach Holmes, are you playing for the tie? Are you playing for the win now? >>

I want the ball in the basket. >> You don't really care what. >> Uh again, your big one of your big man is out. So, you're you're losing that chance. Yes, Tomasi has been the guy on the boards, but if he hasn't got the shot to be able to get that ball in. So, here we go. >> Man-to-man defense for the Bulldogs. Rem inbounds. Jackson McDonald up top. He's fouled quickly. Smart play here by Coach Moreno. That's just the first team foul. >> Mhm. >> It goes against Shakir. And the Bulldogs will look to do this probably two or three more times, >> depending on how much time it takes off. Here's McDonald again. >> Hand in. Ellour comes up with the [cheering] steal. Great defensive play by Ellour. 1.6 seconds left >> and he

will go to the line. >> Classic defense there too as he's shading. Got the left hand in. Batted the ball away. Phenomenal play by Landon Ellour. Leads the way on the offensive side. 15 points. He'll shoot two, but he likely seals the deal right there with a phenomenal defensive play. 1.6 Six left. He can ice it here with two free throws. First on the way [snorts] is good. That's a three-point lead. 5653. And now Ellore with the back end. He can get to 17 and a four-point lead. Let's see what happens. Takes the ball, bounces it, spins it. It's on the way. Does not fall. Brown heaves it full court, hits the backboard, but no good. >> Wow. >> And the Bulldogs escape with a win. They trailed by 11 early on. Come back to

tie it after two. 20 to 20 at halftime. Landon Ellour leads the way with 16 and comes up with a phenomenal defensive play there at the end. And the Bulldogs will take home victory. 5653 is your final. Bill, any closing thoughts? >> They got away with it tonight. They didn't play to win, but at at the end of the game, they [music] they see that three-point win. Uh and uh they will cherish [music] this win. I'm sure they sure will.
