Hey, hey, hey. Heat. Heat. N. [music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. Great feed there by mano as they're trying to make a goal as he goes through. Nice for the goalie to go in there. Good evening and welcome to Exit High School and tonight's Division One basketball game featuring the Exit Bluehawk boys against the Windom Jack. I'm Bill Taylor. And I'm Tim Tyler Jordan. Number 10, Jack Ste. Number 11, Brandon Jacobs. And number 21, Samuel Redhawks Griffith. for the Blue Hawks. Sige Griffith number four, Jackson McDonald number 11, Nate Tamasi number 21, Jack Tibido number 23, and Huxley Brown number 34. >> We're going to have the national anthem. And after that, Tim's going to give you some keys to tonight's victory of our national anthem. >> [music] [music] >> listeners and
our television watchers. watch out for tonight. >> Yeah. So, uh, Hley, he gave me quite a bit. So, on the offensive side of the ball, he wants them to continue to shoot with confidence. Last game, they beat Conquered 73-32. And I asked him about it and he said, you know, eight play eight different players hit threes. 14 out of the 15 um 14 out of the 15th scored uh at least one basket. He said they just got to keep shooting with confidence. He told me that they were just shooting with confidence that entire game and got to keep that up for this game. Cut turnovers uh for this game this team. You know, we we've talked about multiple times on uh during game that sometimes the turnovers gets the best of them and then use
their size and win inside. Xer this season has a plus 11 point differential on the averages. So they're going to look to keep beating other teams on the inside. Uh victory keys to victory on the defensive side. It's going to be don't fall asleep on Windham's offball screens. Got to keep Roy off the boards and uh limit Jacob Griffith travel. [cheering and applause] That's Tyward Jordan right there. He is uh ninth in division one for New Hampshire at 16 points per game. He is ninth in the whole state for points per games. He's joined with two of his teammates in the top 20. Royalis has 15.6 and Jacob's 14.6. So, Windham's got three really good scores. Exer only has one guy in that top 25. We know that they like to spread around the ball.
>> Tamasi with the basket as Windham comes out and man, the Blue Hawks come out in a 131 zone. >> But yeah, we know that exit, you know, it can be anyone's night for scoring. It can really be anyone's. Um, you know, Huxley leads the way with 14.8 points per game, but other than that, you know, teams try and shut him down and it opens up, you know, a Ge Griffith, a Jack Tibido, Nate Tamasi. They have so many different guys who can make an impact on the game. [cheering] >> Griffith with the rebound, pushing it up floor and double dribble. >> Oh, tough. That's one you don't see called too often. >> No, no, that was interesting. Um I think he wanted to pass it and then the guy he wanted to pass it
to seemed like maybe he paused right before the pass and they called him there. But Exer's looking to push the pace. You can tell already. Huxley told me that as well. They understand that Windham has a short rotation. They don't run a lot of different guys. So, they're going to try and utilize that short bench today and try and get these guys that are going to stay in the game tired. >> Kay Griffith with the rebound. >> Windham playing man. >> Oh, nice fake from McGee. >> Number five. >> Good job by Tibido getting that. Rebound by Tibido. >> One basket's been scored here in the opening minutes. >> Definitely been a defensive game and we know that when we watch Exer, it's a defensive game. >> There's another B basket by Tamasi. Nate Tamasi
has them both again. The Blue Hawks in that 131 zone. >> Oh, nice job. >> Nice steal. McDonald trying to push it and it's a block on number 10. That's Stephanites. >> Good job right there from uh Macdonald to get the turnover, get the steal, and then force the penalty or force the foul. Sorry, I'm still in like football [laughter] terminology. >> Well, if somebody drops a flag, we know we're going to be in trouble. Yeah, the extra student section is in neon. So, >> oh [cheering] man, >> I'll tell you this right now from watching that Portsmith game when Tamasi is on it, when he's bringing the energy, it makes the day a lot longer for the other team. He already has six points and you can tell right after that he let out
a loud yell. He's feeling [cheering] it. >> Tyler Jordan for three. Windham scores their first hoop >> again. The Jaguars look like a a straight man. Oh, wide open inside. Huxley Brown missed what we call a bunny. >> Man, that was just a a tough possession there after his He made an cut. Huxley made an amazing cut to get open and Windham did a great job of just closing out, not letting him get the easy layup. And then after that, they just did a good job poking the ball, making it hard for him to handle, put up our shot, pass it to an open guy. Great defensive possession there from Winham. >> Okay, the Blue Hawks and man, nice fake there. [cheering] Stephanitis number 10 >> with the hoop. >> 65 Bluehawks here in the
opening minutes of the game. Nice back door cut. >> Another >> Tibido. >> Exit is attacking Windham's man coverage with some amazing cuts. We saw Huxley had one earlier and Tibido just had a nice one. Uh Tamasi his first basket was on a great cut. This has been a great start to the game for Exxon. >> Good save by McDonald hustling the ball up the floor. >> Makes it inside. >> Woo! >> A good block out there by Wendham. Number two, Begley. >> Oh, tough shot there from Jacobs. Oh, man. Man, I'm surprised that get called. Looked like a ghee got poked in the face. >> Travel. >> Yep. Waited too long to take that dribble before the uh with >> Yeah, he had already taken a couple of steps. >> We're seeing Tyler check
into the game. >> And he was in for a Griffith. I'm seeing Xer do a great job of playing at their pace and not trying to force it to be too fast. You know, obviously Huxley talked about how they want to get these guys, they want to get these Windom guys running and they want to get them tired, but at the end of the day, they know not to push it too much and when they need to slow it down, they'll slow it down. Oh man. Tyler Jordan >> for three. >> What a shot. What a shot. >> He's He's got both uh not both. He shot two of their >> change of pace dribble. Good rebound >> by Tivido. >> Tivido did a great job there getting right over number two Begley. >> Nice
change of pace by McDonald. >> Yeah, he's so good at that. He's got great first step, quick step. He does a great job of stopping on the dime. [cheering] >> Good job slowing it down here, Tyne. [cheering and applause] See, exit's movement off ball is amazing. Watching Ty try and get open. Jackson McDonald. Nice shot. What a >> Tyler. [applause] >> What a tough mid-range shot to make. Good boards tonight for Exit. >> I like what I'm seeing from Tamasi and Tibido crashing the boards and doing a great job of, you know, getting on getting using their size to get the rebound. >> Tamasi battling inside. Oh, tough bounce, man. Jacobs cannot get it to go. >> Jackson McDonald here, he scored seven in their last game. He does a great job of just being
a a a great guard that can, you know, he uses his speed and his agility to make some tough layups. >> [applause] >> Oh, foul on Windham here. >> Okay, couple of subs in the game. Number 12 for the Blue Hawks. That's Michael Burke and number 10, Johnny Gillis. Blue Hawks go a little smaller. Yeah, it looks like they might be trying to go for speed here against this Windham uh man coverage. I like taking Tamasi out and keeping him fresh for the entire game. We know Portsouth, he played a lot of minutes and got a little tidy ended up just being gassed, but he still will give it his all. So, if we can just keep him in this game as long as possible, he'll he'll pay dividends. >> Nick Meyers is in the
game also for the Blue Hawks. Oh, nice pass from Burke there. >> Oh, tough shot. >> Oh my goodness. >> Good hoop. Tyler Ring three-pointer. >> Oh my. >> At the end of the quarter, >> man, what a shot. >> Oh man. I mean, I I was watching him dribble. He's obviously trying to get an open shot just to put one up before the end of the quarter. That was not an easy shot. He's fading away. Guy in his face. Great defense from Windham there. Man, there is just as a defender that's demoralizing cuz there's nothing you can do. The guy the guy played about 20 seconds of great defense and Ty still hit such an amazing shot. He swished it. I don't even know if it touched the rim. That was amazing. >> 158
at the end of one here. Exiter with the lead. The Blue Hawks have definitely controlled the backboards for the most part. Windom is getting one shot at the basket which is good. Yeah, and we saw that early in the Portsouth game and in the Salem game. Teams struggled to get second chance opportunities against exit. And we know obviously guys like Jack Tibido at 6'7, Nathan Tamasi at 6'6, Huxley Brown at 6'4. We know it's difficult to get rebounds on these guys. Exo does a great job of limiting those and especially down the stretch when it's late game and we see them they do a great job of not allowing you to get a second chance at like maybe a game deciding shot. They do a great job and exit their defensively we know they're a
great defensive team. They've held teams under 40 twice this year. >> Good hands by number 10 Johnny Gillis. We're going to call it travel. >> Johnny Gills had amazing footwork on there. >> As you said, he had great hands. He almost forced the steal, but just great footwork, too, to stick with Jordan. So, that was great great defensive possession there from the Hawks. And >> you know what I've noticed here is Windam is allowing the he they are not pressuring the exit guards full court. No, >> they are allowing the exit guards to get themselves in their offense, which is >> good for exit. >> Yeah. Yeah. We've talked about the past uh two boys games we've done is they they need to get in their offense or sometimes the the opposing team like Portsouth
did a great job of making exit play Portmith ball, >> right? And right now Exer is just they are doing what they want >> and it is great is a great offensive showing from Exer right now. >> They were lucky to get away with that pass. >> Yeah, >> that should have been picked off. >> Seems like they're almost kind of lulling Windham to sweep on some of these possessions where they're kind of just holding the ball for a little bit. Well, you know what you do is you make them play defense for as long as possible and teams get tired playing defense. >> Yep. And what I'm also noticing, uh, not just are they only allowing one shot, it's quick possessions from Windom, they're not getting a like long offensive possessions like Exiter is.
I mean, it's not football, so there's not really a lot of time of possession, you know, stats we can look at, but Exer is doing a great job of controlling the ball and controlling the pace of this game. >> I see Tibido and Ray Plant in the game. >> They're doing they're doing a great job. Uh, Coach Holmes always does a great job of keeping his guys fresh, and that's what you're seeing right now. They're constantly keeping these guys in and out of the game to keep them fresh and keep them rested, especially knowing that Windham does have a short rotation. Michael Burke. Oh, >> good rebound by Tibido. Out. >> Good rebound again. >> Yeah, exer just controlling the boards right now. Great job from Raymond Plant there to use that pivot foot and
to find the open guy and not lose his footing or step out of bounds. He was really close to the line right there. >> Yeah, exit's movement off ball has been amazing. Doing a great job of making sure your guy has someone to pass the ball to. >> Oh, nice hands from Raymond Plant there. Good poke poking the ball away from the Windham guards. >> Good job, Ree there causing a foul. Then get a trip to the line >> and get two shots out of it. second to the line >> and I see Tamasi coming into the game. Age coming into the game and number 10 Stephanitis coming back into the game for Windom. Two foul shots by Tyler Ree. 178 Bluehawks. As we've started the second quarter, >> I think we've seen 10 different
players from exit. I'm counting the guys with their warm-up shirts off on the exor bench and we've seen 10, sorry, 10 total exit their players. Meanwhile, I think it's been the same five, maybe six players for Windom. They've had, you know, they've had only one or two subs and that's going to tire these guys out. Meanwhile, Exer's keeping their guys fresh. Nice >> Griffith coming off the screen. Time out. Windom. >> What a great drive from McGee there. He did a great job driving, getting that tough layup in. And Age is not the tallest of them all. So to to be able to drive and make some of those circus layups and tough layups, great job there. Well, again, I think Windham is doing Exit a favor by not pressuring the guards, allowing the the
ball handler to bring the ball up, get them in their offense. >> Exit is doing a great job of being patient offensively, getting the shot that they want. >> Yeah. While Windham wants to up the tempo on offense and run and gun a little bit, it's not happening. >> Yeah. And what's interesting is, you know, we saw Salem and Portsmith have a lot of success against Exor when they pressured the guards and when they made the guards work for every single step down the court. But right now, Windham, it it'll be interesting to see if they maybe change that, if they try and pressure the guards at some point. But right now, they're just letting the exit guards control the core and find their guy. >> And the exit guards are doing a great job
of it. >> Yeah. >> Nice rebound. >> Number 21. That is Redulus. >> Redullis. That's the guy Huxley was telling me about. They got to keep him off the boards. He's a great rebounder and he's also a great scorer. I'm sure he's got a lot of second chance points, but he does a great job of rebounding the ball for Windham. >> See, right there is something that we're noticing in this game is Windham wants the three. They want the three-pointer. Much like how the Boston Celtics play basketball, you know, if you're in transition, maybe you go for a layup, but you have a chance to pull up for three, they'll stop and pull up for three. Exit is willing to slow the game down and try and find an easier shot. Good defense there by
Jacobs with the steel. >> Great defense here from Exador. >> Good pass inside. >> Good cut there from Royal. >> Redullis number. >> Nice pass by Stephanitis. 19-10 Bluehawks. 3 minutes to go. 3 minutes and 20 seconds to go in the first half. Number 11, McDonald in the game. This is a lineup right now out for exer that we see a lot except Huxley and normally for Tamasi at starting the games but right now we got you know uh the twin towers and Tamasi and Tibido in the game and honestly it's been working a lot this whole no matter what different kinds of group of five Holmes is playing out here it's working for exit. They're doing a great job of playing extra basketball, but Windham not going away. They're doing a great job of,
you know, trying their best to keep up. Good pass from McGee. Good shot. >> Good rebound. >> Well, Mike >> Tamasi. [applause] >> Even though >> nice rebound, drew the foul. >> Even though Ree missed that three, what I'm liking a lot from Xer is they're they're doing a great job of taking good shots. They're not forcing up shots. Obviously, we have the end of first quarter force up shot, but you have to you have to just get a shot up. But other than that, they're doing a great job of taking good open shots. And I think that's why they're they're doing so well on offense because they're able to slow the game down and they're not rushing anything. We've we saw them against Salem and Portsouth rush some shots and now they're not. Now
they're doing a great job of finding the open shots, taking their time to find it, and not settling for a, you know, heavily contested shot. >> Tamasi with one foul shot. >> Good job from Tamasi, Garrick. Nice. >> Tibido with a nice block [applause] on Jacobs. >> Yeah, Tibido is a tough guy to score when he's right under the basket. He's a tough guy to score over. He's tall and he's got a long wingspan. Oh, they're going to call that a travel. Good defense again. Exiter. That was one of one of rare chances we see when a team gets a second possession or a second chance at a shot. And right there, they do a great job at not giving them anything easy onto the basket. But we saw Tibidos's block and then they force
a turnover. >> Nice job from Rem Gang open there. >> 20-10 Blue Hawks. >> This is very much what we see from exit in games where they just overall dominate is it's low scoring. Right now, Windham only has 10 points. O, >> good block. >> Another block from Timido. >> Oh, they got they double screen McDonald there. Oh, good job. [cheering] They got Ty a little bit on the on a like jab step from number 10 Stephanitis. So, it was a tough possession there where they were trying to screen and stuff like that. And Exer did a great job of not falling asleep. Ree stayed vigil vigilant and stayed up. He was paying attention. He was making sure he didn't give anything easy. Uh Stephanitis did beat him off that first step, but then Tamasi
came in, helped defense block. >> Huxley Brown in the game now for rain Griffith. Man, three-pointer. >> A Ge Griffith step back three. >> Oh, >> nice hands. >> That's what we see all the time from McGee. Great defense. Nice pass. >> McDonald for three. [cheering] >> Jackson Macdonald. Great one, two man. [cheering] One, two man show right there. Just great job by Age. He gets the steal. He brings it up. Quick pass to uh Jackson McDonald and he just takes advantage of that open shot. They gave him too much space. Drains the three. >> Timeout, Windom. >> And you know, I know the Windham coach didn't want to spend a timeout with a minute to go >> in the first half, but 26-10 Blue Hawks. >> Yeah, obviously, you know, halftime's coming up. You'd
prefer to hold on to that tight to that timeout for later, but you needed it there. Xer came out to a quick burst. They just scored nine points just before you scored any. And two of them being quick three-pointers back to back off of a steel. There's just not much you can do there if you're wind them. You have to call a timeout. You have to give your guys a breather. You have to break down what just happened. Okay, a minute to go. 26-10. >> You know, the Blue Hawks, I don't want to jinx anything, but the Blue Hawks are playing great. >> Yep. >> defense, >> holding a team like Windham with one loss to 10 points and a half. Back door cut was there, but good rebound. You know what I'm noticing most
is they're making Windham take bad shots. Windham is not taking the best shots possible. That's going to be a foul right there on number two Begley. >> But as I was saying, they're doing a great job of making Windham's life more difficult. You saw that Jordan had to try almost like a backwards layup because Tamasi was just playing such good defense against him and wasn't giving him anything easy. And they like playing a faster pace brand of basketball. So, they don't know what to do when the defense isn't giving them any space to make that quick three or make that shot, have this quick offensive possession. So, Exit is just dominating the ball right now. Oh man, great [cheering] find from a ghee there. >> Age to Tamasi with the jam. >> And you know
what? That's exactly what we saw in the first quarter. We saw the exit of their offense did a great job of cutting and getting past this man defense that Windham is in. [applause] [cheering] >> And you know what? I don't know if there's been that many fouls called on exit right now. >> Free throws here for Tamasi. >> Yep. Exting the bonus here. Oh, [laughter] >> Tamasi got it to go. >> It hit about every It hit the backboard. It hit the rim. It hit >> You [laughter] know what? It hit everything but that band. That's out of play. So, >> one foul shot by Tamasi. >> Timmy though. A Nope. >> At the first half, >> the exit of Blue Hawks 29. Windham 10 points and Windham is a good team. >> Yeah, this
is a very exiter first half and they're doing a great job of taking the shots that they are given and not forcing anything. Sometimes we see they get a little bit antsy and they want to keep going. They want to put a shot up. They've done a great job today of slowing down and working through their offense to find that shot. Man, Windham only scored two points in that entire second quarter. Great job here from Curtis to give it to me to give me the stats. Um, I'm going to give him my headset so he can give you some stats before we take break. Curtis, are you uh you got some stats for us? >> Uh yeah. Well, uh like my partner said before, uh Exiter held the Jaguars to only two points in the
second quarter with some great defense and only eight in the first, resulting in 10. Uh for foul trouble so far, the only foul trouble we have for both teams is number two on the Jaguars. >> That's Begley. >> Begley. Yes. And I mean, we've had some great runs by both teams in the first quarter. The Jaguars went on a 5-0 run to get the lead to 65. Then the Blue Hawks in the second quarter won an 110 run to really pull this game away as a a great way as they've created space. Um they're comfortable in the lead. Their players play great in the lead. It's less stressful. Uh uh yeah, but great defense by both teams really. Uh not really much big like uh points by a lot of players. It's good defense, but
we got Tamasi with 10 points for Exit. Uh that's the most for his team. And then for the Jaguars, we have the most points. Oh, shoot. Okay, I'm going to guess I don't know who else. Maybe him. >> Yeah. >> Okay, we're going to take a break. We'll be back with second half action. Heat. Heat. >> [applause] [cheering] >> Let's go. Shoot it. [cheering] And we're back 2910 here as we're waiting for the buzzer to start the second half. And uh Tim, you had some rebounding and turnover stats you want to wanted to bring up. Yeah, I mean we knew exor was doing a great job of limiting uh Windham's second chance opportunities, but the rebound differential blue hawks at 23, Jaguars at 13 making it plus 10 differential in favor of exit. That is
just the difference in this game. I mean you can see it in the score and it's that is just amazing job crashing to the glass controlling the glass from exit here especially from Tamasi and Tibs but also the guards the little guys you know Macdonald Age Ree Plant you know Huxley also is doing a great job and man just awesome to see Exer just play amazing basketball. >> How about the turnovers? turnovers. The Jaguars have double the amount of Xer. Exer has only turned the ball over four times. That is exactly what Huxley told me before the game. Limit turnovers. And we've seen some of the turnovers are not necess aren't bad turnovers. You know, I I think there was only maybe one bad pass in that first half, but they're doing a great job
of doing exactly what Huxley and I'm sure coach Holmes spoke to them about of limiting turnovers and they're doing a great job forcing turnovers on Windham. Windham with eight turnovers. Great. Just shows how great the defense is for exit. And then obviously want to highlight Nate Tamasi again, 10 points, as many as window. He's doing just a great job. Exer ended that half on a 10-point streak. >> Okay, now as we get ready to start the second half, >> we need to come out with the same desire, confidence. >> Exactly. >> First half. No, it's exit ball >> to start the second half. >> Would be nice to come right out and get a bucket. It's got they got to keep this energy going. They got to keep the same energy that they had in
the first half. That is the only way that they will continue to play this amazing level of basketball is just come out, act like the score is 0. Coach Ball used to tell our football team that a lot. Score still 000. Go out there and continue. >> McDonald with the hoop. >> Man, that that shot was beautiful, man. That spin was amazing. Okay, the Blue Hawks are playing man. Windom has stayed in their man. >> Great switch. >> Great job from Huxley there. >> He saw AI was going to get blocked up by that screen. He came in, they switched, and then they went right back to the guy who they're supposed to be guarding. Great job. >> Oh, let's see it. Tamasi. >> Tamasi from Tibido inside. >> Man, Tamasi, I love to see
it from him. He's having a great game. We saw how he put his heart on the floor against Portsmith. He unfortunately fouled out of that game, but man, he has been having an amazing game. Can't be blocked. [cheering] >> You're going to call a foul there on Jordan. >> Definite. >> Maybe a little bit of frustration there from >> a lot of frustration there on Jordan. >> Yeah, just, you know, frustrated. He hasn't been having a a typical night for him. We talked about him in the pregame. You know, he's averaging 16 points a game. That's ninth in the entire state for D1. And tonight, he's been shut down. >> Hennessy in the game. >> Nice rebound. >> Can't quite get to go. But just again, good job getting a second chance opportunity. Tamasi is
really doing it on all phases for basketball. He's rebounding, blocking shots, doing great close out on that shot. Nice shot, >> Matt Hennessy for the basket. >> I'm surprised Wendham hasn't tried the zone here. Xer's been killing them on the cuts. They're not, you could tell by their warmup, they are not a zone team. >> Tibido off the back door cut. >> Right there, I was just about to say that was a great cut from Tibido. Get the easy shot for a guy who's 6'7. That shot is, you know, going to be easy every time. [cheering] >> Jacobs for three. >> Uhhuh. >> Ex's got to slow it down a little bit. They tried to kind of kill the momentum for Windom. I think Huxley got a finger on that. >> That three-pointer from Jacobs
two possessions ago, by the way, was great to see. You could tell early in the game he's a little frustrated. >> Stephanitis >> with the basket. 3618 Bluehawks. Oh, >> nice change of pace, McDonald. >> Man, McDonald just had a nice drive right there. >> Oh, good close up from Tamasi. >> Good hustle there from Tamasi. >> Great hustle is right. Jump ball. [applause] Tamasi not giving them >> a chance. >> He might have taken a knee to the face there. That was that looked rough. He dove right into uh number 21 Royal [cheering] >> Verand in the ball game for a freshman for uh Windham. >> Rudol did a great job also hustling to match Tamasi's energy. The 21s are going at it right now on this possession. >> Oh, good hands from Huxley.
>> Double dribble. >> Huxley Brown did a great job making sure Jacobs had nowhere to breathe. >> The Windham coach is being a little too verbal and he's I'm going to guess he's going to get a T pretty soon. >> Yeah, he might. I'm I'm guessing he's a little frustrated with how his team is performing. Not in a sense that they're not performing up to par, more just that Exodor is kind of having almost their their chance to play their offense. Oh, little bit of extracurricular there, but Huxley gets a good easy basket. >> Huxley Brown. Nice look by McDonald. It's starting to turn into a little bit of a physical game because of the frustration for Windom. >> They're going to call on the floor. >> I'll tell you this, it this game seems
a little bit further apart than 3918. Exit is dominating on both sides of the ball. We saw that Windham had a little, you know, uh, burst there where they scored two three-pointers, but other than that, it's been all exit there. >> Good shot there from Ree. Just can't get to go. >> Meyers in the game for the Blue Hawks. >> Oh, good drive there. >> Nice tip by Meyers. Oh. Oh, >> Tyler Rain. >> Oh, man. >> Nice dribble move. Looked like an inside out dribble. >> Oh, turnover there. Miscommunication. >> Meyers. >> Nice pass, Tyler. [cheering] >> Meyers, great job to make that with Jacob or sorry, Jordan trailing him. [applause] >> 18. >> Exiter has not called a timeout all game. We've had some stoppages in play where they've been able to get
their subs in, but you can tell who right now is the fresher team and that's exit. He's Coach Holm's philosophy on getting these guys resting, keeping keeping them in for this game and trying to, you know, take them out and make sure they're not getting too gassed has been working perfectly. He's found the times to put new guys in and keep guys in. But right now, we're starting to see a little bit of fatigue set in for Windom. And this has just been an exit game overall. And the other word, frustration. >> Yeah, frustration >> with Windom. >> Yes. Yes, we're definitely seeing some frustration here. We saw a little bit extracurricular between an Exer and Windham player, but you know, that ended up turning into a bucket for Exiter. And then we saw, you
know, the foul from uh a Windham player that turned into an exer bucket on the other end after the foul. It's just it's it's been a tough night for Windham and you know it's starting to get to them. We'll see if maybe they can find the groove and calm down a little bit. >> There we go. We got a >> Tyler Jordan taking it to the hoop. >> That breaks Xer's 14point streak. They scored 14 straight points. Oh, nice pass. >> Woo! Good hands from Tibido. >> Tibido. Nice pass by Meyers. >> It's just all exit right now. They cannot miss. That basketball hoop right now is the size of the ocean. There you go. We're starting to see a little bit of rhythm build here from Windom offense >> for Windom. >> Oh, nice
job from Huxley. >> Huxley Brown catching the rebound in the air and putting it back in. >> Great job getting Tyrese's miss. Just great job. >> Good hands. And you know what? We're seeing a lot of it is extor limiting second chance opportunities and then also getting them on the other end. When they do miss, you see the exit team crash the boards and get the rebounds and give themselves a chance to make that basket after a miss. >> Oh, tough pass to get there for, but great cut. Nate Tamasi is all up in Jacob's grill right now. Making it hard to move. >> Windom ball. >> Exit is making them work for every single stat no matter where they are on the court. Tamasi was right up against Jacobs, not giving them any breathing
room. Oh, look at Jacobs just or not Jacobs, sorry, McDonald. >> McDonald pushed it, but nothing, >> man. He just goes 0 to 60 like he's a Ferrari. He goes so fast. Oh, nice steal from Huxley. >> Huxley Brown with the steel. End to end layup. >> Nice spin, man. Great job there. >> 4922. Less than a minute to go in the third quarter. >> Win them here. Good ball movement. Good rebound from Tamasi. We'll see how long Xer holds on. Oh, >> right around that corner for McDonald. [applause and cheering] >> Uh, over the back. >> Oh, yeah. >> Man, but you know what? This has been the best offensive quarter we're seeing from Windham. They've scored 12 points. If they can maybe find something in this for next quarter and next game. >>
Oh, good job from Myers there getting the ball back. Can't fully control it. >> Ah, not a good foul. >> You know what? This exit team allowing only 22 points for this Windham team. This is not a team that can't score. They lost the game to Pinkerton where they put up 60 plus. They also put up 80 against Manchester. This team can score and they can stop you from scoring. They held the London to 37 and they held uh they held Manchester Central to 38. So they do a great job of Whoa, another one. >> Good hoop by Tyler Jordan. Three-pointer at the buzzer. At the end of three, it's the exit to Blue Hawks 49, Windham 25. >> Well, speaking as a coach now, I was very pleased at the way the Blue Hawks
came out after halftime. They did not rest on the first half. They came out and established themselves and I believe they still outscored the Jaguars by five points, right? >> Yeah. 20 to 20 to 15 in that third quarter. Great job there from Exit. I think they came out so so energized from that first half. They knew they dominated, but they didn't take a they didn't take a break. any other stats that you have for us? >> Well, that quarter, the third quarter for both the Jaguars and the Blue Hawks was their best quarter as the Jaguars scored more points in the third quarter than they did in the first and the second combined. Uh they also got their first player in double digits, Jordan. And we're seeing a lot of great scoring from all
of the exit as they have over eight players on their team who has scored this game. So, getting the ball into a lot of different people's hands. They've been scoring well, like I've said. Uh, great defense by both teams, great rebounding by Exit, and I'm excited for the fourth quarter. >> Okay, four fifths of the starting lineup in the game for the Blue Hawks. >> Oh, nice job. >> Call another foul on Jordan. [cheering] that says third. >> This has been this has been a great game for exit. They are really you can tell they're still coming in with the confidence from that conquered game. This is this is a dangerous team Griffith. Tamasi >> Tomasi with the rebound. >> Monster on the boards tonight. >> Oh, a Griffith for three. >> Oh man, the
ghee. That's his second three of the game. Normally, we're talking about him on the defensive side. And we're starting to see a zone here from Exader. Nice cut there from Jacobs. Man, this has just been domination from Exit. >> There's just they are they're getting everything tonight. Just doing exactly how they probably practice. You know, they're controlling their offense. They're Oh, nice cut. >> Thought maybe he got the save. I think I'm seeing uh the Windham coach >> is emptying his bench. >> Yep. Good eye. >> 5427. >> A little bit of white flag there. >> It was it was a tough game for that starting five and the and the rotators in for Windom. They they played almost the entire game, the starting five. So, they were they're probably exhausted. And you know what?
You got to save some for the next game. And they'll take this game right now and they will use it for the rest of the season as motivation cuz they're not a 27point team. They're not a a team that's losing by 27. They're a great team. They're 4-1 for a reason. >> The Blue Hawks in a 32 zone. Good defense there from Tamasi. >> Number 12 in the game for the Blue Hawks. Michael Kirk >> and Ray Plant. >> Coach Holmes starting to empty out his bench as well. This has been a great this just overall I can't say it enough. This has been the best game we've seen all year from Exit. The most entertaining was obviously that Salem game being super close up until the end or in the end, but this game
has just been the best performance from Exod. [screaming] They did a great job of taking the keys to victory and utilizing them. Everything Huxley said to me, they did tonight. Number 14, Sean Collins for Windom. >> Uh yeah, up until this point, you know, the Blue Hawks 37 rebounds to the Jaguars 29 and then you have turnovers. The Blue Hawks still in single digits as a team. Meanwhile, they've forced 13 from the Jags. Sean Collins. Timeout, Blue Hawks. >> Good timeout by Coach Holmes. >> Yeah, >> settled everything down. We don't want to be forcing shots. >> No. >> Get good shots. 5431 here in the fourth quarter. Less than 5 minutes to go in the game. Blue Hawks with a 23-point lead. This has been just just overall I think you know it started
off from that first two quick baskets from Nate Tamasi. Exiter came out with all the energy and Nate Tamasi did a great job. He scored that third basket and he was feeling himself and you know so he got the rest of the team going and man this is just they have been all gas no break from the jump. They've just been straight up dominating. >> And you know, Windham, they've have they've been playing catch-up all game. They've been having to exert more energy than Exit. They're, you know, on the offensive side. Exer's taking it slow, slowing it down. They're just passing the bone, moving around. Meanwhile, Windham is, you know, struggling to stay with their guy. And then on the offensive side, they're running, trying to get a quick basket. Nice move there from Ray.
>> Good rebound. >> I think this is the most the most intense I've seen this crowd tonight. They really just want one of these guys to make a basket. Let's see who who the guy is. >> I remember last year I was at a game and it was like two minutes left and we had had the benches cleared for about four minutes and no one had scored a basket and then a uh I believe it was Brody, a kid named Brody made like a fadeaway mid-range and that's the uh student section just went crazy. [cheering] >> Johnny Gillis at the line shooting two. He made the first and missed the second. In and out. >> Bluehawks playing man. >> You know, I don't think I saw as many off ball screens tonight from Windham as
I was expecting. And I think exit also wasn't expecting as little. And I think a lot of it was just they never got the chance to get in their offense. You know, we talk about a lot. Sometimes what a team needs is to get into their offense, get into what they're comfortable playing and they just weren't really able to do that today. >> Blue Hawks pushing the ball down the floor. [applause] 5531. Less than four minutes to go in the contest. >> Michael Bird. Oh, [screaming] [applause] >> three-pointer. >> Okay. I don't know. Thomas Brazbine. >> Now the Blue Hawks are running their offense. I like this better. >> Nice cut from Plant. And he gets it to go and one. >> Ray Plant with the hoop. Nice feed inside. >> That was a great
cut. That's what we've been seeing all night from Excel. Just great cuts and great baskets. They're making the tough ones. Great job. 31. >> It'll be interesting to see here down the stretch for this last three minutes if Windham can score seven points. Their season low was against when a cunn they score 40 points. [cheering] >> Oh, can't quite get to go. I mean, even Exor's bench, you know, the guys that play at the end of the game, the younger guys, they play gas pedal to the floor. They do a great job at not just, you know, taking the opportunity to shoot a deep shot and get your highlight play. They do a great job of just still sticking to the team and playing what the basketball that they are taught by Coach Holmes. Oh,
nice job forcing a turnover there. >> Oh, >> Tom Graves. >> Man, what a shot. I think it was behind the backboard when he shot that. >> I hit a shot like that on my buddy Alex Rusco one time, but it was not that cool. I think this game just overall as a whole shows how great of a coach Coach Holmes is. I mean, he they completely implemented the game plan and everything Huxley told me before the game, they did. They limited Rudolas off off the boards. You know, they they did a great job of limiting turnovers. They continued to shoot with confidence. They used their size to win inside. They didn't fall asleep on defense. And they did a great job of pushing the ball in transition and using Windham's short rotation against them.
>> Sean Collins with the basket. Windham. >> And you know who had a minimal impact on the game is Jacobs and Jordans, which was another thing that Huxley told me before the game. And you know who else? >> Riddleless. >> Yeah, R. >> I mean, he's a top 20 scorer in the state >> and he might have a bucket, but not many. [cheering] >> So, Jordan Smith, >> Jordan was Windham's only player in double digits. He had 11, five less than his average. He averaged 16. Jacobs was held to five points and I one of those was a three. One of those might have been a trip to the line. >> John Gillis >> and then Rudolas only had two points. >> They they were they completely shut down the big three of Windom. And
you know when you see a team has three top 20 scorers in the division that tells you they can all score and if one guy's having a down night the other two will step up. If two guys are having a down night one of them will step up. It is hard. Oh, what a shot, DeMarco. Nice three-pointer. But it is tough to shut down three scorers. I mean, that is more than half the people you're trying to stop. So, it's tough to shut all three down. And Exit did that. Exiter shut all three scores of Windham down. >> 6639. Oh, nice rebound there. >> 24 Lucas Cromer. He had seven rebounds in the last game against uh the Crimson Tide. Conquered >> Gromer shooting. Well, Tim, in 50 seconds, I'm going to ask you your
player of the game. [cheering] [applause] >> I I know who I'm picking. >> Yeah, I I I've definitely I've been thinking about I'm between two guys right now. I'll spend this last 40 seconds trying to decipher which one. But man, I think the harder thing is going to be finding one on Windom. >> I don't know if Windom had one. >> Yeah, I think it's a lot like the Pinkerton versus >> John Gillis, [cheering] >> you know. I think it's a lot like the last game we did between the Exer girls team and the Pinkerton girls team. Just Exer completely shut down Pinkerton. And that three-pointer means that Windham will not have a new season low for points in a game. Oh, >> I'm going to tell you who I think my player of the
game is for exit. First player of the game for exit is the exit defense. >> Yeah, >> the entire team defense. They held a good basketball team like Windham to 10 points and a half >> and were able to uh keep that going. six they held him to 42 points and a lot of it was in uh >> yeah you know >> the fourth quarter >> 25 they they they scored 15 in that fourth quarter they had a 25 point oh sorry that's the blue hawks actually they scored >> 15 as well in the fourth quarter and 17 in that third quarter so obviously they had a bigger second half but a lot of those points came when all the starters were out and guys are putting up shots and, you know, trying to get
some nice plays, trying to show that they do mean something to his team. And, you know, my player of the game, I got to give him another shout out, is Nate Tamasi. He just I mean, I think he was the guy who brought the energy and got this game off to a great start for us. >> He was a great spark. >> He scored six straight points and he was just he was yelling high energy. He was all over the place. But at the end of the day, you're right. Exer defense did have a great game overall and the whole team need it's just like we said after the after the Pinkton Xer girls game. The whole team deserves praise as to how amazing they played. Even the guys who came in at the end
who did a great job of continuing what coach Holmes coaches them through. He keeps it. No guy takes a possession off. You never see that. Great job from Exador today and when the I mean I'm sorry it's just like the Pinkerton game. I just I cannot think of someone who made such an impact that they get a player of the game. Obviously Jordan dropped the most points but it's also not all about points. It's about you know how much of an impact did you make? You know, the other thing I would say is for a team, the exit defense shut down a team with three top 20 scorers. >> Yep. >> And they did not they were not a factor in tonight's game. Any last stats you got for us? >> Yeah. Well, uh, just
saying, yeah, great defense again by Blue Hawks. I know we've said this a lot, but Jaguars only had one player in double digits, Jordan. The rest were uh nine and five and four from the rest of their guys, but I really want to focus on Blue Hawks, their depth to the roster. >> Yeah. >> Uh as I mentioned earlier, a lot of their players put up numbers. Um they all were playing their plays great. I saw a lot of cuts. I saw Raymond Plant had a lot of great cuts uh during plays as uh Tyler Ree scored, Age scored, like almost everybody scored on this team as uh Nate Tamasi put up 12, Tyler Ree nine. I mean, yeah, a lot of great scorers from Exit today. Yeah, really all around a great game. >>
Okay, well that's going to wrap it up for us. Make sure you tune in Friday night as the Exit Bluehawk boys will take on the Dover Greenwave in a sea coast battle. This is Bill Taylor, >> Tim Hollister, >> and Carson Curtis >> saying good night and we'll see you Friday. >> See you.
