001Good morning, SIU16. This is Christopher Andriski, superintendent of schools, and here I am with our November spotlight school, Main Street School, and accompanying me is Principal Catarat. Thank you, Dr. Andriski, and hello everybody. One of the things that I want to highlight today about our school, Main Street, is our robust steam program. Steam stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. All of our students participate in a weekly lesson with our steam teacher. And above and beyond that, our steam program offers extension enrichment activities for so many of our students. The reason why we have a steam program here at Main Street School because it fosters problem solving, creativity, and innovation. And a couple of highlights we're going to do is we're going to talk about our robotics grant and our robotics program for this
002school year as well as our hydroponic station. And I'm going to hand it over to our fabulous steam teacher, Mrs. Jackie Carlos. I'm so excited to share and highlight through the New Hampshire Department of Education robots grant that Main Street and Lincoln Street School are partnering with True Robotics. These are developmentally appropriate grade level K to5 coding and robotics that can travel and evolve with the students. I would also like to share about our hydroponics garden. We received this last year through the Wheelwright Trust and now to three second grade scientists to share more. >> This is our hydroponics garden. We share the food we grow. Sometimes we eat it, too. Thank you so much. So many amazing things happening here at Main Street School. We'll see you a couple weeks. And one last thing,
003>> it's a great day to be a junior Bluehawk. >> Thank you and have a good weekend.
