I would now open the meeting for any public comments. Please come forward and state your name and your address for the record. Hi, Mark. Um, I just have a couple things like now that I um am able to speak, uh, I have a couple things that I just want to play from a previous board meeting to, um, just go about it just really quick. Say again. I mean, you have a few things that you

want to say. Yes. And I have um a recording from board me uh board meeting a while back that you know the comments were said that I just want I can address now where I couldn't have addressed before I'd say fine it's a board meeting of this board the the reporting that you have the meeting of this board okay so back in um April of 2022 I had a situation on beyond that were were good. Um I just want to play um two things that were stated um in that in that meeting. Yes. Mr. Yes. Mr. Yes. And there's an addendum. A1 resignation district. A2 reinstatement of Joseph R. Holder Middle School baseball program. A3 award of parental contract for student transportation and A4 2223 public adoption of question. Okay. So um I hate that

I had to wait this long to address this but it weighed heavy on my on me for many reasons beyond my control. Um I was not able to address it in the way that I wanted to. Um but now I can um I played the first clip um about 2 hours and 18 minutes into the meeting is the clip that I just played. Um the vote was cast and um for some reason uh the vote was over and Miss O'Hara made a point to go in detail about the um A2 when it was approved. when it's a full detail which you never really do that like you never really go into like a full detail. I'm not a person of many words but when I feel like something needs to be spoken out I will

speak right so but commonly you kind of don't like when it goes and um there was no question about that during that time but you did feel like you know that you had to address and give what you had to give but it wasn't 100% true and I had said that that day and I'm going to stay into it right now and um also for that it was like a little bit of confict of interest where you should have abstained because your son's on football team just um from what so that that's not the case um legally and if it was something like that there would be a lot of people that have to abstain well when it's when it's a conflict or because conflict doesn't mean but when it's a significant other or a

teacher were um if your child is you work for a company, if your child is part of the team, whatever it is, you're simply to see if I'm wrong, I'll gladly come back and do this. Well, we've never held that someone child being on a athletic team and or even a debate team or um is that board member would then be a stop from being able to vote on something dealing with that team. We've never had that. We would never have somebody stay on that on a team that in because it rules on a conflict is if if someone that is part of a a full I mean they're not profiting from it and in fact the reverse is true generally when you play at athletes athletics um you're giving as opposed to getting so

but we've never held that that's a compliment I've only been here 49 years. Okay, that's that's fine. Um, and this is the this is about um 2 hours and 35 minutes in. This is what we're here for. You know, we just want to hear what's going on. pieces of matter to us. It's on. Okay. Well, basic basically that was you saying to that side of the room um where the baseball team was sitting, the parents, everybody where you looked at them and you told them that you as a board heard them. You heard them. It's on recording. Okay? Which is completely fine. You can hear who you want, but it was such a sensitive subject. And for you, it wasn't like a little fight. It wasn't, it wasn't, it was a it was a serious

thing. And for you to sit into and a whole room, the public outside watching this, instead of just not saying anything on such a sensitive subject, you went to the people without knowing any of the facts and stood and said, "We hear you. We heard you and that's fine, but there was another person to be heard and maybe you should have looked both at both directions instead of just one because I've waited a long time to be able to say this to you, but it is like gut on shape for anybody to see, anybody who has watched the video, anybody who has heard the story at the outside world um is like kind of they just honestly ly can't believe it. And I know it's just my word, but at this point, I just needed

this for closure for myself and the other person involved. So, like I said, it's just very it's just not a good look to do something like that to you can agree with what you with what you want. You have you're allowed to have an opinion, but that was a little harsh on the other end. Um, so that's that's it. That's all I have to say. Not that my opinion matters, but my family does and my children do. And that's why I have always been here. Not because of any other reason except for the children in this district. And I know I'm going to leave and somebody's going to say that you're volunteers. You do this, you do that. There's many, many people in Kingsburg who do want to volunteer and be a part of the

board. Um, yes, they can run. No, they choose not to because for whatever reasons when they have the guts to go ahead and come here and speak, that's fine. But I'm just saying now I'm not saying that I'm not grouping everyone into one. There was two people who spoke that day and that's what I wanted to address. Um, also the rules on board members. Are you allowed to be a board member uh living out of town? Like are you allowed to sit on the board and live in another town? Ma'am, not not permanently. No. Okay. So, I just No, I'm not going to stand. Um, but there is a current board member who does not live in town right now. So, you might want to have a like a meeting in behind doors. If you

know of one particular, then just write it down and give it to the board secretary and send it in and he'll get it to me and then we'll that way. I can't just No, no, that's fine. I'll email you my way out. But thank you so much for your time. Can I say something? And if I offended you or anyone in any way, I apologize cuz that's not who I am. You didn't you you know what you did? It's not that you offended anybody, but you hurt one of the key people who were at home watching that meeting. And if I knew about it, I would apologize to them. and if you share with me privately, I will reach out to that person. I've been proud of being a board member of Kingsboro and supporting

our kids. And I've sat here for 26 years and I get that and I and I feel that I've been a darn good board member. Okay? So, my job isn't to offend anybody or make anyone feel left out, but I would like to apologize personally to that person because you should not have to hold something in for months of something that I just spoke to you. years. I had to hold this in for years. But that wasn't I'm sorry, but that wasn't on me. If I would have known, I would address it. But I'd like to address it with you and that person if that's okay with you. Honestly, it's it's not But but it's not done because if it bothered you and you held it in business period of time, it's important for me,

right? Because now this is going to bother me for something that should have been addressed. I would like to and I I do appreciate that. But like I said, it I'm just we're kind of done with it. But I just wanted to know wanted you to know that like your words do carry. My words carry. I I voice my opinion. I don't like I'm not in here to make friends. We are all able to have our own opinions. We're all able. It doesn't matter. What matters is your words though. Okay. Absolutely. But when you say that and you have somebody who was affected by the situation and to hear that some everybody else matters except that one person who was and no it's not my intention cuz I'm here for for but if you if

you watch the video if you go back to 2 minutes No, you will see. I believe you though. Why wouldn't I? You will see exactly what I'm talking about and it it's not me. My feelings aren't hurt but my child was. But if you I would like to apologize and I will definitely talk to him and I appreciate it. Thank you everybody for your time. I appreciate it. Have a great night. There's anybody else who would like to step up step up. Please state your name and address for the record. See no one else stepping up. Now close uh close that portion. Um well since a journ meet go around the vehicle real quick you have oh um no I apologize I'm just uh thank you first congratulations uh Mr. President Mr. vice president and

to my other fellow teammates and that uh the community of Kingsburg has trusted us and the rest of the other people board members here in this room. Uh it is a uh volunteer position but you know what it is one of hard work, dedication and a lot of time away even from our families and it is something that we all do with a passion and we do with love. So to all the community members in Kesburg and to all my fellow board members, happy new year and let it be another good year. Thank you. Just congratulations to Mr. Fantastic for you know a good year and looking forward to 2020. Congratulations everybody. Uh congratulations to not only the two of you but the three other four I think that were sworn in tonight. Um, I

think that that continues to show some stability on the board. Stability is what makes us board as a team to be able to do the progress that we all want to see happen. Um, I also would like to wish everyone else out there a happy new year. Um, and May 20 26 that even sounds far and sorry I feel like we're close to a hundred now. Um but 2026 should be a very positive one for people. Sure. Uh congratulations to the newly elected uh members and leadership and happy new year everybody. Thank you sir. Just want to thank my fellow board members for their support. Look forward to working with everybody this year. I'd like to thank all the voters. I know we were unimposed, but um people still showed up and voted and and

let us know that that we were uh uh here to represent everybody and we are um we do represent all the students um as we best we can and we just know it does exactly that to do all this fairly and partially and the code of ethics. So look forward to continuing to do that. I also like to thank everyone for showing up again. I'd like to thank my board members who were just elected for three years and two years. And again, I'd like to thank my board members and Mr. Mowsky for vote for your for advisor. Mr. Macowski for vice president and myself for president. That's an honor. I know I have the hardest job in the world, but you guys make it look so easy because I have the best people in the

world. I have the greatest attorney. We have the best PA and and Miss and I have one of the best superintendents in the country. With that being said, my life's principles, my principles, every day we come to work for our agate and they make the this one of the greatest environments in the world to be around. So again, I have the easiest job in the world and it is a thankless job. But again, thank you for allowing me to be the president for one more year with that. And I would like to thank my family and my mayor and council or mayor and counsel and that Uncle Mike is here. A couple things. One, I really didn't know Mr. Lopes. His career was almost over by the time I got here, but he was a

huge influence on my my older brothers and my sister. So, he will be sorely missed. Got the opportunity to attend the Chiefs Day. And why is that important to us is because every home football game they usually send some type of apparatus. So, we support them just as much as they support us. Winter sports are going on. And if I do halftime hear what happened between now and the time they left for spring break, sorry, that Christmas break, um, I'll have less to say the next few minutes. So, I'll start. Uh, Bulger girls basketball. Right now, Kim Lee's the coach of the year. I think she's taken those young kids and told them about basketball. That makes her just makes their the game very watchable. We have a couple student athletes that placed in the

Asbury Park Press. We have Frank the Tank who placed for wrestling to watch. We have uh Mercedes, Princess Grace, St. Um the girls basketball team won a holiday tournament at Henry Hudson. We swept them. So uh we got two awards. One princess got one. And this M this is Gabby Flammile who's close closing in on a th000 points. So yes um they're 5 and0 and they have a home game on Thursday at 4 and Saturday also 11. Yeah. Saturday at 11. So there's two sports I have to get to. Do I have to get to the boys basketball game and bowling? I will get there. Mr. Trump, will you tell me? Um, Thursday. Thursday. Okay. Buildings and grounds. We got a huge compliment the other day at the basketball game. A young lady come in

with her husband from a visiting team and they complimented our gym how beautiful it was. Yes. So, Mrs. Sh was standing there. So, John, put that boy and everybody smiled that again. We have a beautiful cafeteria. We have a gym. when we start making things look beautiful, people start noticing they start they start like coming here uh and a whole bunch of things. Again, I thank my family for being here. I thank Uncle Mike and let me talk to Dr. Facebook Land now. Yes, I am president of the board of education. Yes, for those who don't know this out there, it's going to be hard for you to handle, but I do have a daughter. My daughter goes to RBC. So, you can make fun of me all you want. You can make fun of

my board members. I I don't think you can. they can handle you. But again, I'd rather you make fun of me. But again, if you come after my family and you say stuff on Facebook and you think I'm going to be quiet, again, some people mess around and find out. All right, with that being said, I'll take a motion. I'll make that motion. In favor, I thank you everyone for meeting.
