e good evening everyone and welcome to the November 21st uh Chester Union Free School District Board of Ed meeting if everyone would please rise for the pledge I pledge allegiance to the flag of United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all and if someone would would like to make a motion to adopt tonight's agenda I'll make that motion second are there any additions or corrections to the agenda yes oh well to the yes we'd like to um note that the approval of the previous board meeting should say November 8th not September 13th anything else all in favor I any opposed all right thank you and if someone would like to make a motion to approve the board meeting minutes from

the November 8th 2023 meeting I'll make that motion I'll second all in favor I any opposed okay that motion carries thank you very much all right we'll move right into presentations we'll start first with Mr D Roa I think you're up hi guys how are you someone what exciting uh but also sad time in the Chester world uh Vic Rossi has decided to leave us for a life of uh retirement at the beach with fishing and golf and he said he's going to finally take care of his honeydew list which I don't know if I believe uh Mr Rossy is a selfless dedicated member of the Chester buildings and grounds team he established himself as a subject matter expert on all things custodial his dedication to service started when he enlisted in the Engineering Battalion

in the United States Army Reserves in 1976 where he served for eight years uh following that uh Mr Rossi did a 31-year career in the operations department at IBM he continued his dedication to service by starting a new career after his first retirement which is unbelievable uh in the public sector there where we were fortunate enough to bring Mr rosan as our lead custodian Vic was hired by then superintendent Shawn Michelle uh to oversee the very difficult transition from in-house custodial staff to our third party uh U bosis his leadership was instrumental in this process and the program continues to thrive successfully to this day 10 years later in no short order because of Vic's leadership a quick story about Vic's tenure that really highlights the type of person and coworker he is in 2018

while working in night shift at the Chester Academy Vic noticed a young man knocking at the front door of the school when he answered the door he met the young man who was new to the area and was lost um the kid was upset and shared with Vic that he had recently had an argument with his family um and had and had left the argument walking into the unknown AB this not being from the area Vic sat with this young man talking him through his crisis ultimately convincing him to call his parents when his parents arrived they were extremely grateful and happy that uh the the the child was safe in Vic's care Vic had many options that night but he chose the most human and compassionate uh route this is just one example of

the many that Vic uh Vic selfless I'm sorry that has helped shaped um the inclusive culture here at the Chester school district and Vic is a big part of that now Mr Rossy says he's looking forward to spending all of his free time with his wife Sue and his sons Nicholas and Daniel and his first grandson Archer Jacob so Vic with while your retirement is a big loss for the Chester facilities team and the Chester Community alike uh We Wish You A Long healthy and happy retirement to you and your family um please leave your phone on because on snow days we will continue to call you it's been an honor to work with you uh joining the public sector here at Chester was a difficult transition and uh I I have you uh amongst

others to thank for uh bringing me on board and taking me under your wing and showing me your way so I'm I'm I'm very grateful for your leadership and uh the the welcoming uh um professionalism that you showed me when I came so thank you with that like to present you with a a gift from the buildings and grounds team oh myself Vic on behalf of the board we'd like to thank you not just for the time you've given us but for the heart you've given us you really truly have exemplified what it means to be part of the Chester family and I can't tell you enough working with you not just as a board member but as a community member the steps you've taken to be so welcoming and accommodating I don't have anything

prepared but I just want to say thank you Matt for that great um you know reminiscing of my past and I totally forgot about the the boy that I met um it was just part of something that you know just came to me and tried to console anyway um um but thank you it's been great working with you and and the B&G team you know Brett uh Tyler Mark Lance I mean great team team guys um I learned some things from you Matt and uh I'll always remember working with those guys because they're all team players thank you uh for supporting me all these years board members especially Miss Sandy nagler um our super our our um superintendent Miss oara um Mr Brennan that I've known for long time and he was one of the

guys that actually hired me with uh Sean Michelle the only thing I had was a little lary about is the second shift work he told me I had the job but after he told me that he said by the way it's second shift I said oh uh okay he put me on the spot I did but I'm glad I did it because I it's great staff great um I don't know I just uh the environment I loved coming to work only because of the staff and the admin they were so you know respectful and open to whatever um so to that I'm ready for my next chapter in life with my wife my new grandson and what we want to do so thank you very much well we're glad you took a a chance I

really despite the second shift opportunity but enjoy your retirement thank you it it really is going to be a a different world for you enjoy every minute with your children your wife your grandchild and I hope you take fond memories of Chester with you thank you Matt did ask me what my what am I going to do on the first day of my retirement and you know I never really thought about it but I thought about it because I have a shirt that I wore this morning and that's what I'm going to be doing that's my first order of business is my I'm Under New Management and well [Applause] congratulations all right now we'll continue with our presentations um Miss Garcia you are up that was wonderful um good evening bard of of Education members

uh superintendent Ohara I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends I uh want to give you a update of a couple of things I'll try to make it brief uh I wanted to start off by giving you a diversity equity and inclusion update on October 26th I attended um the New York State education uh Dei leaders Network and I was able to F facilitate uh closing sessions and the coolest part was I was able to conduct the closing remarks of the entire uh session that day and um I kind of summarized all the work that all of the leaders are doing um in New York state and uh I wrote a poem as a closing event you know you missed my poetry so I'm going to share what I wrote at

the end of the session and it was a well received and they said they were going to have some difficulties doing closings after my poetry so I'm going to share that with you it was called uh cultural humility and purpose so this is what I wrote the Dei leaders network was created to provide an opportunity where districts throughout New York can collaborate and create Unity we build connections and offer ongoing collaborative support even when doing the Dei work is challenged and falls short we have a common purpose that is grounded on equity for all fostering diverse and inclusive spaces where our students Stand Tall today we discuss the importance of having cultural humility analyzing self humility opens doors to our vast capabilities through self-reflection and awareness we will make great strides through empathy and compassion

our countless efforts Will Survive the often contrived Dei Notions that cause a Great Divide We Gather monthly As Leaders because we all have the drive to push through the noise hold up the mirrors and look deep inside through the efforts of our leaders Network our Dei work will Thrive I just wanted to say that doing diversity equity and inclusion work is a challenge and it's difficult sometimes only because of the misinformation and it's all about providing an inclusive and welcoming and affirming environment for faculty staff uh employees and students alike so um I love the fact that our school district and our community is open-minded um so thank you for that um moving on to the next item was the family instructional Academy update I just want to say that we had our second uh

Workshop in October on October 26 The Tricks and Treats of student assessment data uh was well received by the attendees and we kind of tripled our participation so I was excited about that um so I'm hoping that uh we have an increased amount of parent participation our next our third uh Workshop is going to be held on Tuesday November 28th next week when we come back from the Thanksgiving break and this uh Workshop is called students academic support and um we're in for a treat because um in the effort to promote student voice um I've organized a panelist of student experts who will be participating with me and they will be formalizing the Q&A session for the parents uh so with the parents fill out the survey you get to you register for the course

and then uh you get to ask any questions and our students will be prepared to share their experiences on and how they go about getting support um when they're struggling academically or not and then miss McKenzie will be the guidance counselor in charge that evening um to provide additional support so um I will send out an email to the parents because I just posted it on Facebook but it's not uh emailed to parents to register um the third item is on professional development opportunities this one is I'm so excited to announce that the Mid Hudson teacher Center uh purchased two licenses for uh school districts and our elementary school art teacher and our secondary school art teachers received um a professional development sessions via the art of Education University Pro learning um that cost about

$400 I guess a year subscription but the amazing thing is that it provides IND individualized self-paced courses and it has a I provided you with the link of the courses it has like over hundreds of courses that are two hours three hours in length um on shading on different arts on classroom management that is uh the teachers are able to get ctle hours for um so we were excited to have that opportunity um so something we could look into for next year I think sometimes our providing individualized professional development is difficult to do as our November 7th uh PD uh we had uh last uh couple of weeks ago and um superintendent oh havea gave an overview of the success of that professional development session the highlights of the evening was that of the day

was that I was able to provide uh teachers in the Arts uh music attended uh the OU music uh uh educators conference so the entire music department was able to go out we were also able to send out the enl department they attended um specific uh workshops and the physical education department went to the Catskill zone mini conference that was hosted um by Minn and they came back with uh great reviews for that too and uh just give you a highlight of the E of that day was uh I was able to coordinate uh the edel Planet 21 presenter and create a collaborative experience with the um curriculum Associates I ready presenters so while the teachers were learning how to navigate The edop Planet 21 curriculum writing sessions the I ready presenters were able to

provide them with the content support of the English pilots and the I uh I ready mathematics sessions so that was uh pretty good and the administrator team were're able to get um training and overview on the features of the edge of Planet 21 and the importance of why curriculum alignment is important throughout the district so that was informative and one last thing on November 15th last week uh Mr Aguilar and I attended an I ready Partners dinner and discourse we had the opportunity of meeting with other neighboring districts uh Kingston was one Newberg was another and we were able to collaborate and discuss challenges that we had and share best practices when it comes to curriculum pilots and I was invited to present at the I ready Symposium in March on engaging families so I'm

hoping I increase my number so I have something to present uh in March so that was the the highlight and I just have two items that I wanted to share that I didn't include in my uh report because it just happened so we just finished having our parent teacher conference so that was successful I just wanted to say uh a special thanks to our enl teachers and uh the principal secretaries who were able to coordinate uh translation services for the enl parents uh multilingual families through the NTC translation services uh so that was uh utiliz in both uh buildings so that was great and uh I wanted to provide you with uh today's students tomorrow's teachers update we have a new Regional program manager his name is Isaac Solano and he started uh this month

officially and last week uh Mr Solano Miss beretto Miss vet and myself we conducted interviews of six new participants um and they did such an amazing job that we were we interviewed six we needed five but I think we're going to go with 11 students because they just did such an amazing job during the interview process so now we should have a total of 11 student participants do you have any questions for me does anyone have any questions um I I would just like to comment that I think it's fantastic that um some of the additional professional developments that have been offered in special areas um it's it's a wonderful opportunity for our staff and faculty um and thank you for making that available to them um you know it's something that might be overlooked

by many that you know if you're not a a regular classroom teacher um you know there is still um opportunities to meet with your peers and network and come up with some new new plans new ideas is um so that was that was very nice to hear that everyone else is getting a little bit of special attention as well um and in terms of the recognition for our art Department getting the the opportunity to work with some of the um curriculum that might be available to them through the through the granted program that's terrific I mean think you know our art department is pretty amazing already but to have the opportunity to connect with some other areas that they might want to develop and bring into the district it's terrific yeah is good anyone else

thank you thank you have a good night Mr duet good evening everyone so on paper it feels like a little bit of a slow time for athletics now that we're in between Seasons uh and you know I'll fill everyone in who's listening and watching on what's been going on but just one of those things I'd like to mention and it's it's twice a year it happens there's a tremendous amount of work going on behind the scenes um and even know it may seem slow because there's not a lot of games and things of that nature going on registration for winter sports is going on all the things behind the scenes uh I always want to thank Kim Fusco every meeting I feel like I need to thank her because she's been doing a lot of

work we're we're prepping our scholar athletes coming up that are doing the next couple weeks uh Mr doosa and his staff are prepping the fields pre-winter getting it ready so that everything is ready for the spring so even though it may not seem like there's a lot of things going on in the gym and on the field field there's a lot going on in the gyms on the fields and the office is getting ready for the next season so before I even give my report I wanted to thank all those people that have been helping us behind the scenes get ready for a smooth transition into our winter season and I will be definitely thanking them again in the spring and once again in the summer they make everything go nice and smooth for people

like M so that being said we did a wrap up our fall season we did have uh four teams make the playoffs our boys soccer team were in the section n semi-finals is the five seed girl soccer team we're in the section 9 quarterfinals as the six seed volleyball made it to the section 9 semi-finals as the four seed and the football team all the way to the section finals as the two seed so we had a very successful Varsity fall season uh I look forward to a very successful winter season as well we have a lot of athletes that play multiple Sports so I do expect success throughout the year we did have our remaining senior nights that we held in late October I know my previous board report we had discussed soccer uh

we had football and volleyball held their senior nights uh both teams winning on the their senior nights and that leads us to winter sports which we have some exciting news for winter sports are underway vars and JV Sports started last week modified Sports started yesterday we are at 170 registered student athletes for the winter Which percentage wise relative to our student population has actually exceeded what we had last year so you know it's easy to look at 170 versus 185 from last year to this year but when you take our population fluctuation you have to look at the percentages and our percentages are actually higher than last year which is great news for the athletic department we have full teams at every level for every sport including which I have gushed about this for the

last year but the girls wrestling team The Varsity wrestling team so this year we do have our meets set up for the winter and we were supposed to host one meet and then we ended up covering for another school to host two but we've actually now gained a third meet that we will host here at Chester we have schools uh at Fallsburg Middletown missing Valley Port Jervis and sties will be here for each of those nights all at the same time so the gym will be bustling with female wrestlers it should be very exciting um uh the schedule will be posted online of course so I encourage as many people to attend as possible and show our new team some support as long as the rest of our teams this winter which leads us to

our first games of the seasons for everyone believe it or not we are days away from winter sports starting up uh they've been hard at work having their tryouts but the boys vars and JB basketball team will start on November 28th versus Maro right here at Chester Academy the girls varsity and JV basketball teams will be home versus Seward on on December 1st uh we do have our one boys swimmer who will be shadowing Goan again this year he'll start December 1st at marbor boys varsity wrestling December 6th home versus news and the girls modified basketball team will be against West Point down at Maple Avenue on December 7th boys modified at West Point on December 7th as well girls varsity wrestling that first meet that we're talking about is Friday December 8th that will

be held at Port Jervis and then girls and boys indoor track we are back at West Point this year we'll be flipping between West Point I believe Ocean Breeze is the other place we go to that's Friday December 8th at West Point so lots going on in the next few weeks we have a lot of Home events coming up this winter so hopefully the building will be will be busy well used by a lot of our student body so for scheduling that leads me to this conversation as we we approach the winter season I would like to remind and encourage the community to use the Chester ufsd website and click on the Athletics game schedule tab this will bring you to the section 9 website where you can look at the schedules for all teams

at Chester Academy you can also check out our daily game postings on X formerly Twitter Instagram and Facebook under Chester Academy Athletics we do get a lot of phone calls during the year uh in the athletic department uh looking for game schedules and things of that nature all that you need to find is on on the section I website so if you are looking for game schedules it's everything for the entire year is on the website uh if you click under that tab under Chester Academy Athletics it brings you right to the section I website which is a live site that the section hosts to schedule the officials so if there's ever a change for weather or any other schedule changes it will be on that site first and it's linked directly to our website

we do have something exciting coming up uh that I just want to mention as well is in the next within the next month uh Kim F attended a lunch in with the other Athletics director secretaries at UB bosis and they've started hosting this every year and she always comes back with great information the our school program that we use for all of our scheduling we are going to then start hosting our practice schedules on that program as well so all parents community members will be able to see what the practice schedule is it will all be updated online for everyone to see on the same exact link as the game schedule so it'll all be one place for everybody to go to uh there's a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into that

before we can make that live and put that up onto the website uh Miss Fusco and myself have been working to get our coaches trained on how to use it and uploading our schedules and we have a lot of other features that I've discussed with some people in the next few months that we're going to continue to use our school to enhance some of the features on the website and on the links that we use that will give more and more information to parents and athletes without having to make phone calls or look at social media it'll all be one place where they can find everything so there's a lot of changes coming with that kind of stuff uh we have family ID that we're also expanding our use for different fors and things that

we do there's a lot more fors within the athletic department that we're starting to push out our goal by the end of this year is to have everything 100% digital no more paper nothing everything can be done online signed digitally given back to us through family ID through the website we're even using Google forms for some information that the parents can send back to us that's not necessarily confidential so that is is the direction we are heading and I would say we are well on our way at this point so that is all I have other than say have a wonderful Thanksgiving well that was a lot so you're right it is busy does anyone have any questions um for Mr duet no I actually just wanted to thank you because I saw on your

report that uh there's already a draft in place for uh a Google form um so is that part of like exit um it is uh so we started to do we're we're having internal conversations the best way to handle it uh it's not something that you want to just throw together and and push out without having some type of review and conversations with coaches with administrators um and parents and kind of get some input for everybody we have we want to get feedback from the students as well as the parents so we're trying to differentiate can we put this all in one form can we make two different forms so there's a lot of conversations going on behind the scenes but we do plan on pushing that information out uh our theme with the players

with the parents and also with our coaches because we also have a questionnaire that we're going to push out to our coaches as well a lot of self-reflection you know and things that they you know not only what can we do better but also a little reflection on what can they do better as well especially student athletes it's good to be able to self-reflect what can I do better what did I do great what did I did not do so great and something they they can have those conversations with their parents at home as well and hopefully that will lead to them learning to advocate for themselves learning to uh find ways to better themselves open those conversations have those conversations with teachers with parents so we're trying to do a little bit more than

just Athletics trying to my goal is as a coach and an administrators I want to make them better people as well so if we can do that and use tools like this for multi-purpose get the information that we need but also teach them how to communicate we've done our job so it there's a there's a lot to that so we didn't want to just throw five questions together be done with it we wanted to be meaningful so it's a process and and we're getting there thank you so much um I think the only other question that I had was I know um for certain Seasons it there's a lot of difficulty with getting assistant coaches are you finding the same difficulty with this upcoming season no uh we've been fortunate with the winter well before

there's less sport offerings in the winter which definitely helps but we've had a very dedicated uh basketball and wrestling crew that we've used over the last few years so a lot of it comes from the youth program we have a very successful relationship with our youth programs and a bunch of different sports that we didn't used to have so that is helping us bring in some of those coaches that we are now teaching them how to get certified and a lot of them they're kind of our repeat coaches so they know what they need to do because they have to get their new license every single year and they're starting to talk to other parents other coaches so they're they're kind of recruiting each other I need that to spread to some of our other

sports uh which I know we've had these conversations before it's it's it's happening it's not as quick as I would like it to be but we are starting to get more interest and since we put that form on the website I have started to get interest from people I don't know which is good because we can interview those people do our background checks our due diligence and see if that those are people that can help the district so it's getting better slowly but it is but I still encourage anybody who wants to coach please go to the website fill out the form and we can see what we can do thank you and the last question too is with that training when they have to redo it the next year is it another full training

or is it just like a recertification or is it the whole same thing all over again the initial year is the hardest uh when you get your initial license on coaching in New York state you have to do your D so your V child abuse your violence prevention CPR first aid concussion there's you know data there's all kinds of things you have to do and then apply for your license most of those things you only have to take them once CPR first a concussion are the things you have to repeat every few years but only only that first year is the hardest one and then if you're not a certified teacher in New York state after your third year and your sixth year there's just a couple courses you can take they're all online most

people can knock them out in a weekend so it's not overly difficult as long as you stay on top of it as an athletic department we keep a spreadsheet with everything that they need to get done that way we can tell them ahead of time hey next year you've got this coming up so you've got eight months let's get this course done and get relicensed so we don't have to wait till the last second all of a sudden I can't coach because I didn't take this course we make it as easy as possible a lot of back and forth communication it really isn't that bad as long as you stay ahead of it thank you so much welome anything else thank you Mr have nice holiday everyone thank you you too all right Mr Spence

good evening how's everybody doing this evening well it's good to see everybody uh just to Echo again it's um I'm very proud of uh our colleague Vic Rossy and uh he's such a great person it really shows um you know kind of the partnership and and the whole buildings and grounds Department there's a special relationship with schools uh between Tech and buildings and grounds and when those relationships work things go well board meetings get set up things get done things are coordinated Vic has never been a person to say well why do I have to do that he was always the person who said how can I help so again congratulations to Vic Rossy former ibmr like myself and Mr battel and maybe they're somewhere in the background they trained Us in IBM to be

very meticulous and detail oriented so we congratulate him and and we thank the whole buildings of grounds team also just a quick congratulations to the Chester football team um I was able to attend the last two football games of the year U Mr duet got me on the list thank you Mr duet um as was uh our other administrators Miss O'Hara Mr Flanigan Mr agular uh and others so uh the kids really did a great job I wasn't a football player in high school I was a wrestler but um it's great to be out on the field and to see our students and we're going to get them next year so uh they did a great job this year um in any event you have my report I'm not going to read it to you

I'm not going to take uptake uh your time unnecessarily but there are a couple things I'd like to touch upon as you see on page one um I'm continuing to work on the growing request for data from the New York State education department things like Nel scanning the January regions which are coming up very quickly a special thanks to Jenny McKenzie and the guidance department for helping submit all the data needed for the regions um the I ready assessments working with Miss Garcia we're getting ready for those again for the second round of I ready uh we're working on our beds reporting or submitted our beds reporting and working on a fund data submission called crdc civil rights uh data request and that will be going from December through February so there's a lot of

data um that we're working on to make sure that we are submitting everything we need to submit to for um New York State and the federal government um I also wanted to point out again uh on our conference day as Miss uh Garcia did a great job organizing the day um those days can be very hectic as as I know from my background uh she did a great job working with the teachers and the administrators um we teamed up together Miss Garcia and I and we did a 1M training on software available for teachers it kind of fit into that uh survey that I talked about at our our last meeting where we showed the teachers again the software that's available so that we could get their feedback for the reviews for Budget time um

so that we can submit all forms in December to make sure that the software that we have is useful to teachers and so forth so that took place as one of the things on conference day um I did mention uh recently and again that we are are acquiring all our quotes for Budget time our plan again which I'll talk about more next time is to um request purchases of new Chromebooks at the third grade and sixth grade level as we did last year and uh I'll be talking more about budgets um next month as I mentioned um just one a little update as far as our Wi-Fi upgrades as you know we had added to Wi-Fi extenders from Verizon last year one in each building um we were waiting for the Wi-Fi extenders the additional

five to arrive so they have arrived and we are working uh with our buildings and grounds Personnel to get the wiring and cabling in place so that we can install those and get those going for a better signal in both buildings for Verizon um that's both a safety concern so we really want to amplify that signal and it's really going to help everybody as far as the network in general uh we mentioned last time that October was cyber security month but I mentioned in my report cyber security is not just one month it never ends it's a 24-hour um uh situation we say see something say something and there really isn't a week that doesn't go by that either a teacher or a student apparent mention something that we're constantly looking into working with our

partners at bosis core BTS CSI to make sure that we have all the security in place to keep everybody protected so we can achieve the goals of the district and then finally I just wanted to uh you know wish a Happy Thanksgiving to everybody on the board um I'm thankful and I think I speak for all the administrators we're all thankful to have a board the leadership of Miss O'Hara um the people who are sitting at this table allow us and give us what we need to do our jobs to be able to help students um last month I mentioned some uh observations that I done without taking up too much of your time I just wanted to mention a couple things this month at the elementary school I saw a creative lesson from Miss

Magie on letters of the alphabet I was able to observe Miss Moran who did a creative lesson which is which included um various exercises in a game created about Halloween with the pumpkin patch in the middle of the gym U Miss coffee was talking with their students and teaching a lesson on the three types of matter and Miss daily was working on decimal numbers with the help of special ed teacher Mrs Lynch in the classroom meanwhile at the Academy I observed Miss gance who was doing some um lessons on basketball shooting techniques Mr Marcelo was doing a career lesson and career goals um actually not in the gym in a classroom with a new line board Miss dudy was doing a lesson on physical and chemical weathering and finally Miss mckin erne was doing a

creative lesson on the reforms of the Industrial Revolution these are the things that are going on again in our schools and these are the things when we're working on data submissions and and making sure that our Tech is good this is what allows our teachers to be creative with our teachers achieving the goal of our district um I'd just like to ask if there's any questions anything all I can help with is this time does anyone have any questions no I just had um very quickly the um digital Equity uh survey that has gone out to parents how many um what is the percentage of of replies to doing that survey because it is we do need to be 100% compliant um so how are our families doing in terms of response we have some

work to do um I've reached out recently to the PTA and the PTSA and I'm going to be attending some meetings like I did last year um I would definitely encourage all of the folks watching at home um it is very important as a short survey New York State wants parents to do this each and every year so some parents say to me well I did this last year but what happens is it's a submission that state requires each and every year for students we are working with other districts to see how they're handling in this and there's some creative ways that um some districts are reporting this data uh so we are looking at some of the data we reported from parents last year and to see if anything has changed and then we

can help do the brunt of the work on our end to get the data submit it but U we will we definitely encourage parents if you could either through the parent portal or we do have a hard copy in both English and Spanish in our offices um if they could take a couple minutes to submit that um or let us know if anything has changed we can try to submit it if we get the approval to do so um but yes that's very important and I would say that you know a lot of districts are struggling with that in the regard that parents feel well I've submitted this already why do I have to do it every single year okay thank you anything else thank you Mr Spence have a nice holiday if anybody's traveling

please be safe thank you you too thank you all right that brings us back around the circle to Mr doosa you opened you get to close I know I know saving the best for last again um good evening uh Miss nagler Board education Miss O'Hara again thank you for the opportunity to update you on buildings and grounds like to start off with an update on safety so um through our partnership with the Village Police Department um we identified some um questionable activities uh that continue around Maple Avenue with doors uh being left open so buildings and grounds is installed lighting around the perimeter of the building if you drive by there at night it's lit up pretty well um now so we did have some neighbors reach out to us um and and let us

know that the lighting is a bit intrusive so we've uh trying to mitigate that uh I I think we're in a good spot right now but if you are out out there and you're listening to me and you do have concerns please feel free to reach out to us we will uh address the issue again but I think we've gotten it under under control we moved some lights lowered the lumens that sort of thing um but Maple Avenue is pretty well lit up the second thing regarding safety um we held a uh professional development day a few weeks ago and one of the topics that was discussed was V visitor management so um with the partnership of Ed and his team and it um we were able to immediately at Mr M sorry Mrs O'Hara's

leadership uh purchase software and printers which now allow us to print out picture IDs uh for visitors they're very bright red they say visitor on top with the person's picture um the process for entering the buildings has changed uh we are putting up signage but basically when you enter or when you visit a school um we're requesting that everybody provide ID whether you're a regular visitor or not um that way we can have a bit of continuity and um we're able to account for folks being absent or new employees um so everybody who visits the building will be required to show ID they will have their photo taken at the desk and a visitor badge with your picture will be provided so that a uniform process between both between both buildings um any questions regarding

safety all right and then the last thing I wanted to touch on this is a pretty quick and easy presentation is we are in the end of November uh you can hear the SLE hitting the roof as we talk um buildings and grounds has spent the last couple weeks preparing our vehicle vehicles are facilities for the winter a lot of boiler work putting plows on the vehicles getting getting salt ready uh that sort of stuff so we are unfortunately fully prepared for anything that mother nature May uh may bring us um this is my least favorite time of year we are out of Summer but right there with you yeah yeah but uh but we are fully prepared for anything that the uh elements may bring um would like to touch on two other projects

real quick I know we have a very lengthy presentation or a very important presentation after this but um fire doors right so this has been something that has been dragging on for a very long time our fire doors are due to be in next week so yeah thank goodness so um hopefully first second weekend in December we'll have them installed um the hardware is already in um and and if they haven't been received already they're due to be received received sometime this week is that all of the doors that were expected or are we getting a partial shipment no this is all the doors that we're expected for phase one uh which is basically the entire first floor first floor lobby area so the gym doors which are in desperate need of repair cafeteria the

gym hallways um the the all the hallway all the doors in the lobby so uh we'll be in pretty good shape there um and the second project I wanted to update on which is not a project that we've touched base on in a while is the HVAC project for the elementary school so there's not a whole bunch to update you on it is still sitting in the review of um Ned they did request additional documentation um and it was a very simple form that's being sent off to them but um I think I believe their approval time is in in the the 25 to 30 week range at this point which is mindboggling but it it is the state of of uh of our business so um as soon as I have an update on

an approval I'll let you know because then there's some pretty exciting work that's going to take place in the elementary school um so with that um I open it up to any questions from the board does anyone have any questions um I just wanted to comment on one thing um the elementary school playground I was there last week it looks great nice job good so thank you to you and your team on on cleaning that up and really making it more usable for more students yeah it was uh it was in rough shape the years were not kind to it so I'm glad we were able to uh I'm glad we were able to fix it up well thank you anything else thank you Mr D Roa Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families and

uh look forward to seeing you guys next month same to you Happy Thanksgiving all right the presentations being completed that'll bring us to our first public comment section on agenda items if anyone has anything they'd like to address with the board now is your chance seeing no one that will bring us to our Round Table discussion and I will turn it over Miss so har thank you good evening everyone I just wanted to uh first state that very excited to share that our second uh District newsletter Edition has just been posted our November newsletter so you should have received a text and an email with the link if you did not receive that that means for whatever reason your contact information is not up to date in school messenger and given that our faciliity says

just shared that they are prepared for uh the winter and weather please make sure that you are as well H your information is updated so that you are receiving any emergency notification uh the newsletter is also currently on our website both in PDF format as well as just a general newsletter in the website format which is available in multi multiple languages and I'd like to thank mik beer here this evening from MJB Communications for his effort in support of our communication efforts uh with our families yesterday on November 20th the Maple Avenue task force met to review the results of the community survey which will also be presented publicly this evening available on our website it currently is available under the makeable Avenue information Tab and presented again at our community Forum scheduled on Wednesday

November 29th at 700 p.m. here in the Chester Auditorium all residents of the Chester School District are welcome to attend thank you again to our representatives of the Maple Avenue task force that include members from the cfsd parent advisory panel Chester alumni Chester Historical Society Chester quanis Town of Chester and Town of Chester historian Village of Chester and Village of Chester historian and local residents near the Maple Avenue building also present representing our Board of Education Dian Arnette president Sandy nagler our district clerk Lindsay ianuzi and from our administrative team assistant superintendent and director of pupil Personnel Services Mrs Rachel lus direct District business official Mr Aaron Brennan and our director of facilities Mr Matt D Rosa also attendance in support um Matthew Milo and Danielle Ferrell from L Associates thank you for coming uh

on that evening uh and attending all of our Maple Avenue task force as well as Mike beager from MGB Communications um as was previously shared the primary purpose of the Maple Avenue task force is to provide an opportunity for Key Community stakeholders to provide input and discussion on a smaller Forum prior to those broader Community platforms and again we have that uh Community Forum available on uh Wednesday at 700 p.m. all are welcome so on to the presentation in terms of community engagement we began this process on Thursday October 5th with our parent advisory panel uh looking at our draft survey and providing input as to how we could improve that survey and improve uh specifically the presentation I should say with regard to being transparent in our efforts to share the options uh with

the community on Monday October 16th we had our first meeting of the Maple Avenue task force on Friday October 20th through November 3rd the survey was open for Community input on Wednesday November 8th we had the first Board of uh Ed presentation on Maple Avenue options for consideration that presentation that's still available on the website under Maple La tab uh yesterday again as I mentioned we had our second task force meeting in reviewing the community survey results which we'll go through this even evening um and then on Wednesday again November 29th scheduled our community forum for 7:00 p.m. that is not the end of our community engagement timeline following the community Forum with additional information uh there will be additional uh dates available for Community engagement what were our communication efforts to promote survey participation

so one of the key components uh reflected in the Maple Avenue task force or one of the key discussions in our first meeting was how are we going to uh ensure that all community members who opt to participate in the survey have an option to do so so in terms of again of community engagement as mentioned the parent advisory panel the Maple Avenue task force uh we promoted the survey on our social media platforms districtwide School messenger text and email our ongoing information on the Maple Avenue information tab on our site the chronicle local newspaper Board of Education meetings the survey platform in it itself was available in multiple languages over 100 to to uh that point and then in addition uh for those that might not be uh tech savvy or need additional support

there was a phone call for on-site support here for anyone that uh struggled to complete the survey or just simply wanted assistance to do so so again um there's the example of the agenda and our October 5th meeting with the advisory panel and then we had our Maple Avenue task force two dates uh meeting thus far social media uh platforms there was a post on October 20th October 27th November 2nd School messenger going to over uh 1,714 emails over 1,400 uh text messages and then as mentioned our Maple Avenue information tab on our website is updated daily as needed uh currently you'll see right now that the community survey presentation that uh I am in the midst of presenting right now is on the website the chronicle so that was published on October 25th again

our Board of Education meetings reference to community engagement on October 11th and October 24th the survey itself as mentioned available in multiple languages and then again um the reminders for community support for anyone that would like to come in schedule an appointment for help in completing the survey um really making sure that we provide all community members with an opportunity to participate so what did our participant engagement look like we had 389 participants in the survey 342 comments or thoughts through the platform thought exchange on those thoughts 6,36 ratings and about uh 18 ratings per comment the breakdown of participant engagement so approximately 49% of participants were parents of current students 12% staff faculty 5% students 41% community members and then 11% identified as other and in regard to further information when that other was

selected the majority of responses uh were specific to being alumni also represented in other uh was noted as graduate resident homeowner or taxpayer while the survey uh platform and our messaging and school messenger is available in most multiple languages we did not see a tremendous participation uh in the survey with uh other than English so on third on thought exchange as it takes all of the input given from the community it will sort it it will sort it based on theme and also rate from what is what comment was rated out of all the par particip as in the the highest uh in agreement and then it'll create summaries so I will not go over each summary this evening it is available for you to review in detail on the website and I will also

state that these summaries are not created by the district this is an AI summary or artificial intelligence similar to Jet chat GPT where it takes all of the input and it tries to create a summary based on the input so it's not a perfect system it's AI right so um in regard to summarizing what other considerations do you feel should be included as it relates to the Maple Avenue building the semur states the responses to the asked question demonstrate a variety of opinions on what should be done with the building some suggest demolishing it and using the land for a public park or Sports Complex While others suggest preserving it and turning it into a community center or a library there are also suggests questions to turn it into senior housing complex a night school

or recreational center the responses also point out the historical value of the building and the importance of preserving it for future Generations ultimately the decisions should be made with careful consideration of the cost potential benefits and the impact of the community and as stated at the Maple Avenue task force I think we're all in agreement of all the varying uh input and feelings of the community with regard to this decision de ision in taking all of the input and statements shared it's broken down into five key themes one of which is the future Athletics facility the second preservation demolition leave vacant and sell and that seems to be obvious those were the five themes that were brought out by all of the input shared you'll notice that on each page or on many of the

Pages there's a thought exchange results link this is also going to be available and is available right now on the website so if you did opt to uh delve further Beyond what's on the slides presented this evening you can go into the exchange link simply by clicking there and you can see that it brings you to an overview again of the survey presenting the information that is uh summarized in the slides for you and then you can go into for example what I just shared which is the themes and if you wanted to find out what all the specific thoughts were on a certain theme you could go through and do that this particular theme on the Athletics facility has 87 total Thoughts with an average three and a half star rating and if I

were to click on that it would give the individual thoughts which I won't read each thought this evening but you are welcome to do so um if you op to click on that link it is available to you what's provided in the slides and I won't read those for btim is the top thoughts uh for each theme so you can see here and I'll leave that for you to read again it's an AI summary it's not District generated so with a summary that's specific to the Future Athletics facility there's some key components there um with regard to needs such as a football field and a track um repurposing existing buildings a community center is mentioned uh additional gym space is mentioned and again you can read that uh I won't read verbatim this evening uh

because it is available to you in terms of preservation um a couple points made in the summary which again is that artificial intelligence summary um if there was a thought that mention preservation but also mention demolition in that sentence it might land in both summaries so understand that that's how the software or the platform works but with regard to presentations excuse me preservations um most of it referenced um if you go through it turning you know preserving it for repurposing to a library or emphasizing the importance of preserving the building's historical uh elements and the significance of that and so we'll we'll speak to that as we go on um if you I I do want to say repeatedly throughout this it's really important um that you also go back to the Maple Avenue presentation

of options for consideration some of the comments that did show in the results of the survey uh were not reflective of going through that presentation and there's a lot of detail and important information for you so I encourage you that if you did complete this survey without going through that presentation Slide by slide please go back and do so that will live on the Maple Avenue information tab um one point for example is um one of the key comments was I think it's really important that we maintain the gym and athletic fields uh throughout that presentation it states that the gym and the 1965 section right the gym portion and the Athletics fields that our students currently use are not on the table uh for any of these options so would not be impacted in

a demolition for example it would not be impacted if the building were to go to sale uh the gym and the athletic fields are not a part of that and again that is in this uh presentation so I encourage you to look at it demolition um again the responses and the summary is available to you um the responses suggest that the building should be demolished with the majority noted um replacing it with a community center or Sports Complex the responses also emphasized the importance of safety when demolishing the building and the need uh to obtain multiple bids with uh leaving the building vacant that's basically mothballing um that was one of the options presented and it's really um reflective of no auction no action to be direct and so some of the um notes in

the summary year those who suggest that the building should be kept as is um there was an additional reference that uh suggests that the building should be demolished within leaving vacant uh to prevent any health risks or overdevelopment of the area ultimately the decision of what to do with the building will depend on the needs of the school system and the community and then on the summary of sale also available for you to review um in detail sentence by sentence some suggest selling the building to generate profit While others suggest creating a community center we're hearing the word Community Center repeated and I'll speak to that shortly um there's also suggestions to subdivide the property and there's reference to zoning so what were the option preferences what were the results of the survey 18% voted

for we do nothing the building remains mothballed vacant 30% selected listed for sale 52% selected demolition as the option thought exchange will take the input from the community and break it down as I said overall so you see the slide heading and again it's available for your reference the top 10 overall thoughts the top thought in terms of the the number of ratings it received and the highest number of stars was selling the building could bring anyone in there the land should remain with the district to be used in another way in the future the second top thought any sale needs to be mindful of the surrounding Community zoning must be Li limited to RS residential single family must maintain the Integrity of the feel and Ambiance of the village and as I referenced the

third um highest rated thought was the gym in the Maple Avenue is used for a lot of school and town activities I'm reading it for btim we do not edit or change or revise any of the comments they are included as is um I would like to see the gym still remain intact unless a comparable facility is built so once again the gym and the athletic facilities are not a component and you can go through these those were the top three included in the presentation It Goes On Through To The Top 10 um with regard to to each of the options building remains vacant this was a copy of the slide that's in the original presentation and you can reference the top 10 comments specific to or that made mention of the building remaining vacant

you then can go through and look at if you'd like further information and want to see what what input reflected listed for sale and I just want to be clear it's not that a participant checked listed for sale as an option and we're looking at their comment that's not how it works it's the comments specific to or that made mention in some way that uh the building should be sold right so these were the top this was the initial listed for sale again you see in red does not not include the gym and athletic fields currently in use uh on the bottom it notes that upon the sale of the property for a non School District use zoning would be determined by the village of Chester so I encourage you again to go back through

that presentation so that you are informed and there you'll see the top 10 thoughts unlisted for sale one of the things that I just want to make mention of uh one of the comments and uh with regard to the boards responsibility to sell to the highest bidder according to New York State education law 1709 section 11 uh while the last slide or the excuse me the original presentation didn't get into the weeds of the appeal that references that we felt it necessary uh for transparency to ensure that everyone is aware that actually that is required and that's subject to uh an appeal uh which is referenced here so the board of education does have a duty to obtain the best possible price for the unneeded real property and if you reference that appeal of Lawson

you will see that exact language if you would like um please send an email to the Maple Avenue email on our on that Tab and we can certainly even upload that appeal to the website uh for your reference which we can do anyway um and then again uh or lastly I should say demolition with demolition of the building and each of the components there was a lot of comments in the survey uh that repeated the statement of community center um or that question I don't have enough information with regard to if the building was demoed what should be done or if we preserve the building it should be a community center so this brings us to following the the thoughts here a little bit of additional information or clarification this is the original slide still

available on option three demolition of the building and with regard to the questions or comments that were specific to what does that estimated cost include for demolition um and I also want to make mention that there still was the notation that the results of the insurance claim or the proceeds of the insurance claim related to the storm is expected to decrease that estimate we are still awaiting the results of that claim so this process is ongoing each time that we have more information to share with the community that will be updated on the Maple Avenue site and we will I'm sure have more uh opportunities for Community engagement when there is more specific information that uh allows our voters and community members to make an informed decision on this particular slide it mentioned um future

use would reflect District Community needs it it also mentioned elements associated with historical design would be saved and incorporated into future use and there was some questioning of what what might that look like um we're not there yet we're not in a decision right the decision is not subject to the survey it is subject to a community formal vote but in an effort to provide more information again this was the second slide outlining the estimated costs outlining the impact to the taxpayer one of the things that is a consideration in terms of future use uh and incorporating elements uh of the historical design of the building L Associates is currently working to design a green space that green space that honors the history and key historical elements of the 1935 Maple Avenue building the cost

again this is included in the current estimated cost it's not an addition to so you can see this concept of um if we can theme at the clock tower park that is not it's just a a concept drawing it's not something created by land it's just to provide a little bit more information uh to give community members an idea of where are we at in terms of um certainly the residence around the building uh of what the site might look like um just another visual there one further clarification a lot whether it was sell the building uh some comments were sell the building at 4 a 4 a community center so the district again referencing uh the requirement and the fiary responsibility to sell to the highest bidder right once it's sold there is no

authority of the district to tell the new owner what takes place with the property so there is no definitive um if it is sold it can be or will be I should say a community center I suppose it could be right but we don't have control over that so I just wanted to be clear on that also to be clear that if the building were repurposed some comments reflected repurposed uh to a community center and it's important to note as included on the slide for your review the school district cannot repurpose the building to a community center solely a community center right so that's non-school related use because such use would not be eligible for state aid from nid and therefore it wouldn't be a feasible option for the district because it's solely a community

center and not students supported or for student use uh a gift of deed to a local municipality however would achieve this goal this was what we explored last year with a library but due to the excessive cost to repurpose the building for a library as a result of the building condition survey completed by Lan Associates that was not feasible for them at that time uh the district has not been formally notified of any interest at this time so once again I re reiterate the link is again provided here it's also separately provided on our website so please be sure to review in addition to this community survey results um please be sure to review the options for consideration presentation uh because there was some information on those slides that were missed as a result of

the input so just wanted to make sure everybody was aware of all the uh details and information available to you so this is where uh we are at our Tuesday November 21st board meeting presentation of the community survey results on Wednesday again we have our community forum and the next steps of our Maple Avenue task force will really be determined by conversations of the community forum and I'm sure as I said before as we get more information to share with you that will help make the best decision we will have more opportunities for uh Community engagement thank you very much thank you Miss O'Hara um that was very comprehensive and thank you to everyone in the district who has been doing their diligence to make sure that everything that is being shared um from the

community there's full transparency of everything that the community has expressed um to this point and we certainly invite everyone to continue sharing those those thoughts with us as we continue through the process this is an opportunity for you to engage and share those thoughts at this time as we are developing future plans um we all want to be good neighbors but we also want to be very responsible neighbors and we have to look at all of the opportunities that will be presented to us in the coming months and the only way to do that is to get your feedback and hear what's important to you um so please take the opportunities to um first and foremost read through the materials that are presented on the website um very often there's um response that shows that

someone has not had taken advantage of being able to read through everything that's been presented um and while we're very happy to educate you and continue educating you um on what's been presented to this point it does help with your decision making if you continue to keep a breast of uh new information as it's added um so thank you for continuing to update everything um is there anything that any anyone has for Miss O'Hare on this um thank you so much and we look forward to next Wednesday's Community forum and I do hope the community um is able to come out and join us uh this is an opportunity to not just read on paper or on the website um everything that's been presented but come hear it in person ask your questions um there'll

be plenty of time for you to to do that and and um if you thinking the question there's probably someone else out there thinking something very similar so um it gives us an opportunity to address those questions and concerns and update our FAQs as well um so that being said thank you for that update I just wanted to reiterate in terms of uh questions posed if you do send if you're going through the presentation and have a question before the community forum you still have the opportunity to uh send that on the email that's on the Maple Avenue information Tab and we can respond uh that way to the FAQ as well thank you all right moving along miss lus all right I will be brief uh just a quick update from the special ed

office uh in our time of thanks this week I would like to thank Miss Donna Hart and dearra Balto who are the UN Heroes of the special ed Department um my two secretaries they are busy scheduling 300 annual reviews which is no small task it incorporates out of District placements like uh Bose seies in Rockland and Orange County Center for Discovery um you know upwards of probably 10 uh or more County prechool placements that's out of district and then the teachers related service providers uh Psych olist uh in District so every student has a a list of individuals invited um to their team and there's 300 of those meetings so you can imagine the task it is to schedule them so they're working away at that and um it's it's in good shape um and

so if you're listening and you are a family that has a student that has an IEP or a 504 you should expect to meet with us as you always do annually and those will start um at the end of January and roll right through June like they always do so um that is what is keeping us hopping right now in special ed and just a quick reminder to everyone that next week um after the parent night at 7 o'clock on November 28th the parent Night's At 6 right 6:30 all right so come see Dia go to the parent night at 6:30 and then come see me if you're a student um if you're a family that has a student with a junor junior or a senior with an IEP come see me because you should

be signing up for Access VR uh it is a lifelong uh service that helps students obtain and then maintain employment so it's very important that they sign up in either their junior or senior year of high school that's 7 o'cl here at the Academy so that's it for me if could take any questions well thank you for sharing that does anyone have any questions we're not going to give you any questions because your hands are already full you have a very busy office but thank you for all that you and your staff do to keep all of our students and their families on track and making sure everyone's needs are met thank you for your endless support I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving same to you thank and that will bring us to our

student representative we have ammani Curtis joining us tonight again thank you and um do you have anything to share with us tonight I first wanted to start off by shouting out the two students that represented us at area all state um lenon Kazar kto and M Michael Miller um they had their performance on Saturday uh Wednesday they were at wal Hill after school for a few hours practicing and rehearsing for the first time with the whole group uh for the most part they learned their music on their own and then they performed on Saturday and did a really good job uh with Radio City this is recently mentioned at the newsletter the Chester newsletter but um voice ound was performing soon at Radio City with an audience of about almost 6,000 people um Miss SC

submitted an audition last spring and the group was accepted to perform um the group also fundraised so much that um they can attend for free as well as a few select um members from high school course which I think is a really good experience for them to perform with us as well and learn the music um they're performing It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas Deck the Halls and Rocking around the Christmas tree and uh the group's even making up a dance performance to go with one of the songs to really you know put on the best performance that we can for Radio City um it's just a good experience and I think um with an audience that big it'll be nerve-wracking but I'm I'm sure everyone will do a great job um speaking

of winter sports from earlier um I'm sure students and coaches alike are very relieved to have this first week under their belt with tryouts and everything of that nature can be stressful but um everyone's looking forward to the new season uh speaking of the track team specifically um we've been trying to find ways how to utilize using the hill in the back of the parking lot and the Grass more because um running on the parking lot has been causing a lot of injuries that are hard to heal from because of the hard pavement and running on that so um using the Grass more stretching running is something we've been trying to utilize more to try to um prevent these injuries and help people heal from them and um some good news with the track team

was like one or two years ago um students and parents made a throwing pit uh for the throwers and it's been really beneficial because seen an increase in the number of people who are in these field events which usually just you see a lot of Runners but more and more throwers come each year so I think that's really great to see and then um like what I mentioned last meeting um the club interest uh problem that a lot of seniors um and juniors seem to take up a lot of the clubs which um doesn't really show a lot of future for the clubs um but miss Arnette actually brought up a good point that um sending an email to the parents would be really beneficial um it gave me a new perspective how to get

more kids to join these clubs um parents especially those of younger kids um especially parents who are more involved can encourage these kids to join especially when they're trying to build up their transcript for college to start ahead of time parents would definitely want their kids to be on top of that um it could add more interest to clubs that are majority senior and Junior and um this email can be sent out to parents with like a L of teachers and clubs and uh even Club officers giving a description of their clubs that are still accepting people at this time and uh this can be sent by Mr Flanigan which I was talking to him about just something you can definitely work about um work on together um in the next few weeks so yeah

there any questions well thank you um I think that's a fantastic suggestion about trying to Showcase some of our other other extracurriculars everyone knows about a lot of the sports but not necessarily some of the clubs which may have a smaller population um so to to have an opportunity to showcase some of those opportunities that are available and get some engagement at the um underclass level would be great so I hope that is pursued yeah uh does anyone have any questions for Monty well thank you and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving you too thank you um does anyone else have anything for a round table I wanted to add also that I think there might be discount tickets available for some of the Chester families so I don't know if there's more information

on that that we can send out a parent had sent me a link last week for the show on the 11th um so I think there are discounted tickets for that day specifically I don't know um the only other thing that I wanted to share is that the next Orange County school board meeting will be on Wednesday December 6th which unfortunately overlaps with our next board meeting so whatever information or slides they send to us I make sure to pass along to everybody great thank you uh does anyone else have anything for Round Table I just have one quick thing I'm going to put in a Shameless plug for the CES Green Team um who has undertaken a monu mental task of collecting 1,000 pounds of plastic recyclables so um if anyone and we all

have plastic um if anyone is willing to um go in and and take a look at what specifically they're collecting um and help them along in their Endeavor to to do this recycling project um it's beneficial in a number of ways um for the environment for sure um and at the end they get a great TX bench um out of recycled Plastics so um thank you to TRX for offering this opportunity for the students and thank you to the green team in the elementary school for undertaking the initiative um and teaching the youngest students of the 5-year-olds to you know 10 and 11 year olds about Recycling and the importance of of it at home and at school so that was my my plug um uh if since there's nothing else for Round Table uh

we can move to our consent agenda I'd like to make a motion to approve consent agenda 5.1 through 5.10 second uh all in favor I I any opposed all right that motion carries thank you and that will bring us to our second public comment section for tonight if anyone has any comments on anything that is not on the agenda now would be an opportunity for you seeing no one we can entertain a motion to adjourn I'll make that motion to adjourn is there a second second thank you all in favor I all right have a good night and have a wonderful thanks Thanksgiving everyone I hope everyone enjoys their holidays and safe travels if you are out on the roads
