Um I just wanted to mention that on the agenda we have a total of nine retirees >> and uh we have Dr. Visovich her retirement is on the agenda also. That >> is so sad. >> Yeah. And so she's been in the in our district for I would say 32 years in various capacities from teacher to assistant principal to a principal and
003uh I know we'll be honoring all of our retirees uh at the end of the school year. But I did want to mention that. And then we also have four teachers, three teacher aids, and a bus driver on the agenda for retirement as well. >> You This is the time period designated for the public to address the board on any action items on the agenda or topics concerning the school district. Questions or comments are limited to three minutes per person. A maximum of 30 minutes will be set aside for public comment. This will allow the board to complete the agenda, which often has person uh personnel or time-sensitive matters. Please come to the microphone and state your name and address. In accordance with this policy, we kindly ask speakers to use their three minutes to
004share all of their questions and comments and the board will wait until a speaker has completed all their remarks before providing any response. Okay, there's no comments. To make more efficient use of meeting time, the board of education authorizes the use of a consent agenda as part of the meeting agenda. A consent agend a consent agenda allows for one motion to approve multiple items and such items are identified as such on the agenda. The vice president of the board will ask for a motion to approve the consent agenda and will ask if there if any board members wish to have a discussion andor clarification on specific items contained within the consent agenda. Following the discussion, the board will then vote on the consent agenda motion. In addition, a board member may request to have an
005item removed from the consent agenda in order to vote on the motion separately. I do actually want to thank our uh village. They really supported us and our crew here, the facilities and grounds transportation. They did an a really an excellent job of helping us prepare for today's opening. So with that said, this was we were
006supposed to have a regular meeting yesterday which we're not having and that was our first discussion on the budget. So, our next meeting, which is scheduled to be a work session, we'll have our budget overview at that meeting, but we'll also discuss capital, which we we were going to do at the work session. So, it'll be a little bit longer, and we'll have students at that meeting. And at that meeting, we'll also have Wendell coming in to uh discuss the uh zero mission buses that the study that we had conducted. So, they'll be there for that meeting as well. >> Okay. So, we have um our future board of education meetings scheduled for Tuesday, March 10th, a work session at 7:30 at the Garden City High School, and then also Tuesday, March 24th, a regular
