Oh, but I give you. All right. I'd like to call the regular meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Max Kelly here. James Wilson here. >> Sean Denorf >> here. >> James Cartwright >> here. >> Or stand to the republics. One nation under God, indivisible, liberty and justice for all. persons to address the board. I presume we're going to speak later. >> Yes. >> Presentations to the board. Dr. Canard. >> Yes. So, in recognition of school board recognition week, we just would like to thank you for all you do. Um the work of you as board members is never ending, right? There's so many things that you are used for for your counsel and your guidance and the community really looks to you to help when they have things that they have

concerning here at school. So, we really thank you for all you do. Um there's a couple little gifts for all of you in um in front of uh your seat. You also got a nice little certificate of thanks um from the New York State School Board uh Association. and we have dinner for you here in a little bit. Um, as just our little thanks for everything you do cuz you do make a huge difference here at school and we want you to know how much we appreciate it. >> Thank you for being here. Thank you. >> All right, moving on. I need a motion to approve the minutes from September 9th. A >> motion. I have a motion. Second change. >> Any questions, concerns? >> All in favor? >> Five. >> Motion carried. >> Administrative

reports. Oh, no. Hold on. All right. So, this month's board presentation that Miss Roberts is going to take the lead on um is about EXL and AR. Um we don't really have any updates from the assessment data so much from last month. Um but I'll let Paula take it away. You want me to stay up here and flip through them? >> Sure. >> Okay. >> Can be my Vanna. >> I know how much she gets paid per thing, so careful. Yeah, >> I eat a lot of chocolate. >> Yeah, you more than chocolate. Paul, >> go ahead. All right. So, we're going to start with um Il. So, is new this year. It replaces I Ready, and I know you've all heard of I Ready. Um so, it it personalizes learning similar to what I

Ready did. Offers a diverse set of products that keep learners succeeding in math, literacy, science, language, and more. I Ready was just ELA and math, so we gained a few. Um it can be used in a multitude of ways to maximize learning for every student in the district. It's very personalized. Um it provides very precise insight per student. Um it that helps lead the progress monitoring that happens after the benchmark assessment. We use that information um for intervention who who might be teetering and you know what can we do to support that instructionally and it does help us personalize daily instruction for all students. um it's tied directly to the learning standards and so that helps support teachers instruction, small group instruction, etc. So how are we using it? Before I go to that, I'm

going to speak a little bit more about the assessment. Um so we do the benchmarks um three times a year um fall, winter, and spring. And we use that information to assess learners and where they're at at that point in time. And that guides us to what skills they need to improve upon, what they're doing well in. That guides the teacher in setting up her instruction, his instruction that will help the students grow the most. So we can assess in about 45 minutes. Um the initial benchmark is a little bit longer, but it gets shorter. And every week the kids go in and they will do certain um amount of time in EXL and that keeps them moving fluidly. We do the spiral reviews in the classroom as well just to review the content and

the material. Um so you can think of it that way. Um the LL benchmark helps us identify areas of improvement and we use that in our RTI meetings as I mentioned. um teachers use that information in the classroom to personalize next steps for that student and um it gives us insight with the progress monitoring in between those three times a year of benchmarks. So it's ongoing assessment. So who's testing? So we're using primarily in grades K8 except for our eighth graders who are in the advanced algebra. um they take the diagnostic three times a year and then grades seven and eight, you've heard me talk about our priority standards before. They do a standardsbased assessment that happens in the winter and that's based on the priority standards that they selected when they came in for

summer PD. We review the state assessments that they took at the end of last year and identified areas of the greatest need and the greatest amount of growth that we need to focus on. Um, so this assists us with that. The scores are available for for viewing. I already just had the green, yellow, and red. This has a dark green, which is above grade level. So that's the main difference there. Green is on grade level, yellow below grade level, and red is far below grade level. And um I've already talked about the intervention services and individualized instruction in the tier one classroom. So tier one instruction, if you hear that term, that's what's given to every student, whereas tier 2 and tier three is more specified to students specific needs and deficits and usually in

small group instruction. So here's a snapshot of where we were when I printed this last week for the report. Um you can see the areas of green, yellow, and red. Um and we have a couple students that were still in progress. And that's for the ELA. Those are our ELA results. Great results for our kindergarters. And this is the math results here. Um the eighth grade you'll see is skewed. That reflects the kids that were not in that classroom taking this assessment because they were in the advanced algebra. So that's not an apples to apples comparison between eighth grade and K through seven. Okay. Because you're >> Oh, what's on the far of the green or the the color? What's >> you start greens are above grade level here? >> No, the actual writing is

that start with kindergarten. >> It tells kids are represented first grade, second grade, third, fourth, >> and so on. And it tells how many kids are represented in that bar graph. >> Yep. And when we think about tier two and tier three, tier two and tier three shouldn't our goal is that it doesn't make up more than 20% of the student population. And so we can see in many of our grade levels, we're our kids are doing really well. And this also helps us pinpoint the grade levels where we need a bit more focus on some of those fundamental skills to help move them towards mastery. >> And keep in mind, too, um I do the summer academic clinic program. we can see as much as 20 to 30% regression over the summer >> with

students. So, >> so these are good results based on how much regression our kids have shown in the past. Um, so that's that's notable. Um, we did have an excling at our staff development day last week and she gave me some stats that aren't in the graph. She said 2,198 skills were proficient and then 1,769 skills were mastered. So mastery is your highest level. And so that was she said that's good data. So she works with a lot of districts. She said that was good. Steve, so shifting gears a little bit, I'll talk about our APR, annual professional performance review. Um, the primary purpose of APR is to improve the quality of education and student performance by providing educators with timely, constructive feedback for professional growth. And so we have some stats here. Our APR

plan is compliant with New York State requirements. Um, we use the nice teacher rubric, the 2014 edition for our GBA unit, EA unit for teachers and the principles have the multi-dimensional principal performance rubric for the GB data. So, our tenure teachers, they have an announced supervisor observation and an unannounced independent evaluator observation, someone who's not their direct supervisor. Non-tenure teachers have three observations required. An announced supervisor observation, unannounced supervisor observation, and an unannounced independent evaluator observation. So our results from 2425 school year, we had 51 teachers who were highly effective, seven teachers were effective, and two principles were effective. So those were our ratings and our summary for the APR for last year. And now the principles are going to share their principal updates. I have to get closer. I can't read it. Glad I'm

not >> so bad. Glad. Okay. Um, for the elementary, we did a firetruck visit today. I'm sure you guys will saw pictures a lot. It was prek through second grade and then we had a few special education classrooms that visited. I think the kids really enjoyed it. Um our first round of RTI meetings um we have K through three on Friday and then next week on Monday we will have four through six. Um we also have started we're calling them MTSS behavioral meetings. Um so this is separate from our RTI meetings and it's strictly just to talk about students and behaviors. Um, and so we created this and it's meetings with the counselors and the teachers so they can refer students through an online form. Um, and then we set up a time for them

to come meet with us and they sit around and we all problem solve the kid um, what the next steps are, what we can do as a group um, to help. And then second grade took a trip to the Challenger Center. There's a lot of pictures on the PJC of that. Um, I don't know if a lot of you came to the food truck festival. Um, but that was put on by the GVEA. Um, and it seemed like it was a hit. By the time I got here, all the food was like >> I was told we can no longer have bouncy houses with food because it caused a couple, >> I would imagine. >> Um, the fall fest is coming up and that's hosted by the PTO. Um, but we have a lot of

like our student council is doing a petting zoo um and stuff like that. And I know Paige talked about the possibility of the uh the glove and mitten drive and things like that. So that's a trunk or treat type thing. Um so that's coming up pretty quick here which is crazy that we're already almost through October. Um our PBIS assembly is on October 31st. Um we have a spirit week that same week the week of Halloween. Um so we're going to be doing different days all that whole entire week. um whole group PBIS reward will be on November 5th. Parent teacher conferences are held on November 10th and then report cards for our K through four. Um we'll be I'm still getting used to the whole trimester. Yeah, it's report cards will be completed by

November 7th. So just some updates as far as elementary school goes. >> Mrs. Donlin. >> Okay. We had a great homecoming week. Um, and the pep band played at the at the top assembly and no injuries. So, that was really positive. The >> the surfing on the air mattresses. Yes. >> Um, the dance was held at Belfast this year. Um, we had a great turnout. It was a good night and so next year it'll be here. So, we flip-flop every other year. >> Um, Nolan and Whitney were the king and queen. Uh, last week the seventh graders had a mock debate in the auditorium. Um, Mrs. Lesson hosted hosted that and many parents came. It was really really a nice nice event. Uh Mrs. Horn had her annual Louis the 14th trial that took place

in global studies. Um the FFA released the feeasants. >> Big deal. Good luck. >> The forest feel. >> The um New York City trip was this past weekend. um they had a great time, everything went well. We are hosting the junior high area all state on November 8th here in the building. Our conferences are also on November 10th. And um don't forget the veterans recognition concert is the the 12th this year at 6:30 and it's always a great event with a lot of community members that come out for that. So if you're able to come, um and the first day of winter sports practices are coming right up November 17th. Sarah, can I add on to that? You'll get an invitation for the academic honors dinner this year. It's on November 19th at the Angelica.

>> So, lot going on. So, thank you ladies. >> Thank you very much, ladies. Board committee reports. Any reports? >> We had an internal umetic. >> Yeah. GPS. >> Yeah. >> So, it was just the only athletics committee. You guys may need to help me out on what all we discussed. I remember that we uh brought up some things that are going well, some things that got brought up by the public. We kind of discussed how to be more cohesive as a unit. Um, I think it was a good meeting overall. The continuous more of the I shouldn't say more. A lot of it revolved around the our internal communications and how we communicate with Belfast and making sure we're all on the same page. >> Yeah. >> That way we can all be on

the same page when we go into a meeting with Belfast and it kind of will lead to a better relationship. That covers most. Thank you. >> I'm going to do that on your budget right into the budget personnel negotiations update. >> Uh we had a budget personnel committee meeting. Uh we really just went over the um budget calendar. So, what's going to be completed at what date and when we're going to have our budget meetings to review them and then we uh went over the JVE contract um so we can be prepared for round one of negotiations >> to not necessarily a committee report but I did attend the alleg association of school boards meeting. Um it was actually very well attended. They had four different superintendents that spoke about um some well the cell

phone plan some different mandates and things how they were going. Um one that I thought was really interesting was um Berber Jeff >> Marges >> he came. So Boliviver is one of the school districts that had implemented this a few years prior to it ever being mandated. Um, and he had some really positive data that supported that. Um, what I kind of wrote here, my chicken scratched, so I might not be completely accurate on this, but he essentially said that they were having 814 per year disciplinary um, overall disciplinary matters that they were handling. Um and you know now that those numbers are drastically less. >> So it was 814 prior to removing the south bones and it's far less now. >> Yeah, it looks like so that's my bad. I didn't I didn't actually

I wrote down 64, but I don't know if he says that was per month or per or they had Yeah, I don't know what I don't know what that exactly was, but I I 100% know that it was a drastic cut in the 814. So, um, aside from that, I was excited to hear that the rural schools, um, conference is going to be in Holiday Valley next year on April 23rd and 24th. Dr. Canard shared that with me, too. But, um, I mean, they always kind of have that localish, but this will be kind of, I think, as close as it probably will ever be to us. >> Yeah. Um, and then I emailed you guys. The New York State uh schoolboard Association annual business meeting is on Thursday from 4 until question mark. Um,

so that's when we go over um one delegate from each school district around the state uh can listen to all of the proposed resolutions. I think Max is going to be a viewer and listen just to to kind of get a feel for how it goes. If anyone else wanted to, you could too, I believe. >> Just in case Michelle ever gets sick of doing it. >> Yeah. Um, so I actually I've been doing this the last couple years. It's been really interesting to me. I think that, you know, our vote matters. Um, at those meetings, >> it's probably and they usually go till midnight. Um, it's virtual and they do people start dropping off. You don't have a quorum. So, you can't vote on some of the last minute things, but um if you

guys have any Thank you for those of you that gave me any of your feedback. My plan is always to um vote in what's aligned with the majority of our board that hopefully best represents us. So, if there's any other um or if any of the rest of you that maybe I haven't heard from feel strongly about something or want to know more, what I usually try to do is take some notes while I'm going along and to be able to uh record if it um you know failed or passed. And then I usually let you guys know that after. So, >> yeah. Great job, Michelle. >> Max, did you click on the link today? >> I didn't do that yet. I'll show you. >> No, I was just curious if anybody or if it's

just you because you're an ultimate. >> I didn't know if it'd be active until it's time to log on. >> Probably. >> Yeah. >> So, they do have I mean, I think it's actually like right now for delegates. You can take this like one hour training on >> what to expect, how you how you should know when to vote or, you know, when to call the question. just kind of like the the regular stuff that I did pick it my first year. Um you won't necessarily need to do that because you're not registered as a voting delegate. Um and I don't think he can share. >> So it's just a view only. >> Yes, yours is view only. And then mine I got one today too and I know they're specific about don't share it

with anyone. >> It came from it came I think to all of you on Sunday from that Bob. Um he's from NYS >> Daniel Graasso that's I got mine from >> right but he sends out a weekly news >> that teacher >> yeah but that's where I forwarded on >> and I think you all should have gotten >> maybe I did >> Sunday all the >> Thank you. Yep. Thanks so much. Thanks. >> I just I'm going to leave it to Paige, but I'll just hit some parts. We went to met the uh commissioner of education, Rosa. It's a very eyeopening meeting for me. Betsy Belly was my opinion was ahead of the ball and we kind of dropped the ball. on this last changes we had in my opinion. Um, portrait of graduate is

pretty much what we were doing with the steam program with Johnny Warner. All that is what they're looking for now instead of your regents. >> But I'll let Paige speak into that a little bit. >> I just know we were there and now we're kind of two steps back. So, we got to try to get back into that >> realm of the business. Would you like to speak on that Dr. Canard? >> It was um so Dr. Rosa was here with um her deputy commissioner and her chief of chief of staff, >> her buddy. >> Yeah, my friend David Frank. Um and uh they toured Portville. Um and then they came to Boseies and um Scott Payne as the district superintendent really asked her three questions. um one was about porch for the graduate, one

was about uh finances, and the other one was about um some policy changes or some things that they feel are going to be coming down from the federal government. So, I think it's always interesting when you get to hear um the key leaders from ES speak and um address some of those concerns that we have as um members and leaders in rural schools. and they they're a team that really does seem to want to hear from the field. Um, and they're open to suggestions or looking at things in a different way. So, and we had a lovely lunch. >> Yes, we did. >> I give kudos to Paige because she did put Jese Valley on the map because the uh Roses, what is he in >> Chief of staff. >> He didn't realize Ji Valley

was school. They thought we were um a boss. >> And so >> now he knows and he actually mentioned about coming here and visiting Jennese Valley. >> Yeah. He said the next time Dr. Roga comes to the area, he will make sure she visits Jennese Valley. So >> Okay. >> So thank Dr. Canard for inviting me to go along. It was a wonderful experience. >> You were chauffeur. I drove you. >> Did you try pumpkin soup? >> I tried pumpkin soap. Yep. And I like pumpkin soap. >> Yep. My eyes. Yes. >> All right. We'll move on to financial reports. >> Yes. So, as Jamie mentioned, I did share the budget calendar with another members of the budget personnel negotiations committee. I plan to do that tonight with everyone. um just to kind of show

you where we're all at at this point in the budget if you guys want to adjust it at all. Plan to adopt it at the November budget meeting. So I know one of um your goals this year was to be more transparent in the budget process. So I'd really like you guys to drive that. >> Um so I would welcome any suggestions that you have instead of the same thing over and over again. So I will talk more about that section. Thank you very much. I have any questions for Can I get a motion to approve the treasury? >> Motion. >> Thank you. The motion came with the second. Any questions, comments, concerns on that? All in favor? I >> can I get a motion to approve the warrant reports? >> No. >> Second. >>

Any questions, comments, concerns you. Now we have to go to our addendum. Get a vote first. All in favor? addendum caption. >> Yeah. CAB. I need a motion to approve the BIE rental agreement. >> James with a second. >> Who is the motion? Max. So the second any questions, comments, concerns on that agreement? All >> in favor? Opposed? >> All right. Now we're on to CA under financial reports. This came in 430, I believe, the >> 447. Yes, sir. uh we have to do a vote on to make it make a resolution so that we can have just one holy place instead of two. >> Okay, we got Sean with a motion and with the second. Any questions, comments, concerns on that? All in favor? I >> I'm voting no on that. >> Yep. >>

Okay. >> And it's nothing to do with the board. I just I I really think that I've had people reach out. I understand it's out of our control, >> but I don't want to get into it. All right. >> Can I just say something on that? If anybody doesn't want to drive over here, ask for an >> Well, I get where you're coming from. We have a huge district and for people to drive from the outskirts here. >> Yeah, it is troublesome for especially the older citizens. The first the first year I ran that's why it was because people and I and that's when we changed it back to blowing places was because people in clear and west were driving clear to Belmont to vote when they going through Angelica and that just to me

>> you know we lost our school. That's a lot of the oldtimes saying we lost our school now we're losing our voting. So not necessarily losing their voting. They just got to travel to us. >> Well that's the reason I voted though. So >> the board of elections divided. >> Yeah. And I think that on the camera they make enough they could do it on their mind. >> All right. D approve the seeker resolution for the capital improvement project. with the motion. >> Jamie, >> I think Jamie got the second. >> Hope you guys read through all that. >> Questions, comments, concerns. All in favor? >> I oppos. >> Motion. >> I need a motion to approve a resolution for the 2025 gas project. That's all I want to read through too. >> I'll move

it a second with a motion. James with a second. >> Any questions, comments, concerns on that? agenda I believe right those Jeff I mean there's just a lot going on. So, I thought I'd give you a quick update. Um, uh, what you just did, if you had any questions on that, I'd like to be here for. So, it sound like you guys are in good shape. Um, I'll just say that on the seeker, it's an unlisted action. Um, you know, it technically qualifies as a type two, which is like, you know, no seeker required. Uh, but attorneys when you get to a sizable project, they like to do unlisted just to make sure all ducks in a row. So, we agree with that. and um pretty, you know, straightforward scope, no issue from a seeker

perspective, environmental quality. So, so I think that's all good. Um as far as other things going on, um we can kind of flip through this pretty quick. Um you know, this is the main project going on. If we go to the next slide, the status of the contracts have been awarded as you know. U we're beginning the paperwork contracts with the contractors and submitts and all of that and then work is really going to kickstart if it hasn't already anybody showed up to do site work yet. But >> tennis courts are gone. >> There you go. So, so that's good. And it's going to go all through next year. you know, really be this time next year before we're closing out that project. So, that's ongoing. Um the energy performance contract, the new thing here

is we just received approval from SED on this, which is great news. So, um that you're already contracted with train to do this work and that'll begin right away with submitts that we'll review on your behalf and um shop drawings and things like that. We may expect work to be start beginning this winter in January and go throughout the the following year. Um I'm not sure if 26 is right. March of 26. I think you meant >> March 27th. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Looking at the time frame it would have to be. >> Yep. So So that's that that was kind of a great news to get that approved. A lot of back and forth with SEDD on that. And then your capital outlay project which is in SCD for re review. Right now we've

cleared technical review and the project manager fiscal advisor review is um has it in their hands have given us some comments and we'll be responding to that here shortly. So we expect approval any time and we're going to go to bid here in October November time frame. And that is really work in the district office and some work in the medlet room locks with air quality. Then the building condition survey is I didn't want to forget about this. We did our walkthroughs this summer and we're um doing the writeups for that now. We expect that to be complete in November where we'll do a preliminary review with your staff and then we'd like to bring that to you in January if that works for your agenda. Um, it could be January, February. It has to

be filed with SEDD by March 1. I put February on there because I don't like to say March because it's March 1st. Um, so nothing, you know, too crazy found in the initial findings, but it'd be good to go through that and we can give you a summary uh findings of that. And then for smart schools, another piece that's been going on, um that has been approved, I don't know if you realize that, but this summer that was approved at the end of July by the smart schools office and then by SED at the beginning of August and that's being directly purchased most of this work. So that's underway right now um to get that in place. So um we expect that to happen over this next year. >> And Mr. Lebeni has done a

significant amount of work on this project um securing all the bids from the vendors um working really closely with um Aaron and with Chris um to just make sure things are in place because a lot of this is just that infrastructure that you don't see but that keeps us all running um and uh he's been really instrumental with getting all that done. >> Yeah. So that was good news too. And then we have the um 2025 capital improvement project with the nicerta grant that you voted on tonight. So that's all great. This just shows that timeline. The one thing that I I want to be careful of and we'll correct this in the public information. The grant that 776 ordered that was the track 2 for actual construction. You were also previously awarded 650,000 for

the design of that. So those together go into play to do the overall project that'll um help cover that local share. So we'll communicate that more thoroughly in your public information. So yeah, the goal of this is there will be no tax impact um to do that and we're work because that track one was awarded when it previously the design is already underway and we expect that to be able to be submitted to SED right after the vote is passed. So that'll go to SED and currently their turnaround time is quicker than it ever has been. We're talking weeks of time right now. Now it could change, you know, but we don't expect it to change drastically. So we're looking at SEDD approval um in January or February and be able to start construction in

the summer. Um again you'll be under contract with train directly with that when the way that the NAERTA grant works and um with the lead time of materials and stuff they're expecting two summers of of activity to do that work. >> So in all the grant you're looking between 1.3 and 1.4 million. >> Yeah. Yeah. The grant um totals over 1.4 million. And there's also uh a utility rebate that is anticipated on top of that. So yeah, with all that in mind, they see a positive um result of this um expenditure >> that there'll be, you know, >> yeah, >> no local share and even, you know, better than that is the expectation. So that's that's good news. This just lays out the timeline. So what you did today is um the second bowl down

the seeker and proposition resolution and then um your attorney and and so forth will do the legal ads. You have to advertise this legally at least four times. So they'll work on that and then um we'll work with the district on the public information communicating this out and I know we've already started on that and then the referendum set for December 9th. Awesome. >> Thank you, Jeeoff. >> Yeah, in front of me. >> Thank you. >> At the agenda meeting, Paige handed out kind of a flyer that they were as a sample what we put out to the community. I had a few concerns on it, which we had nice follow up to the change on that. I >> think originally it said clean the green project. >> Yeah. And again, from where I'm from,

I hear people worrying about solar power. Right. Right. The windmills. So they automatically vote to that. And I didn't want that to be with our boat. >> Yeah. >> So I think we went energy efficient something of that nature. You hand it out now. >> Yes, sir. You got it up and I have it ready. >> Oh, it's ready. >> That's how it be rolling down here. So, we're really saying um as Jeff just pointed out, it's titled the 2025 capital improvement project with a focus on energy efficiency to improve our facilities um to create healthier, more efficient learning environments for students and >> I like that. I think that words the way that word is more better. >> Yeah, >> same thing. It's just people are going to they're not going to take off

conclusions that aren't necessarily there. >> Right. That's true. >> And you know the the good thing about the the approach to this is basically dual fuel. Whatever we put in, you'll still be able to heat with um gas >> and you'll be able to do the air conditioning with the electric. So it's you're covered on whatever the state throws at you basically. That that was just my main concern because I know in Belmont Amity they were having issues with solar and we have people in angel talking about wind towers some complaining that they were complaining about that. So not really complaining concerning I thought to bypass all that we would take the clean the clean green right out of it. So Tim, in answer to your question that you asked Jeff earlier under funding plan,

if you look at my third, it's one.4 >> which includes the phase one and the phase two. >> And you see the utility rebate, you have that in there, too, which is great. >> You said the you said the goal was to have no tax impact. That that means we're not going to have any tax impact, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. I mean that that's the expectation for sure. Yeah. >> Um and then if you flip on the back, we did say like why now um additional questions um can go to the district clerk or to um Chris Graham. Um and the public meeting date to answer questions will be the week before the vote on December 2nd. So, um, and then there's information at the bottom, um, for how, um, individuals can obtain those absentee

ballots. So, uh, we wanted to have this ready to go. Um, we know that, um, Jeff and his team will be putting together the capital improvement newsletter that will be mailed out, but we wanted to have something that, um, when you approve the resolution this evening that we could just start, you could have this as a talking point. um when any community members are asking questions and we can make copies of these and put them in the libraries or the post offices, just places where people might want to pick them up just as a quick reference to see what we're working on. Um it's a program that I have the last couple of years and I already have everything like that we can just modify and use here moving forward. So program >>

yeah it's very it's very thorough and everyone that is involved when we when there comes a time when we have to evacuate they're very clear on their role. So >> yeah so it's a work in progress and All right. P. I need a motion to approve the inter municipal service agreement with Belfast. I'll turn that over to Dr. Canard. >> Well, lots of committee meetings coming up everyone. So, um the first one um Thursday, October 23rd is the athletic

committee meeting at um Belfast. It's the the 23rd. >> Copy. >> Um, it's the 23rd. >> Um, Monday the 20th, we have our policy review committee. Uh, the 28th is safety and security. The 6th is budget, personnel, and negotiations. I think I'm going to spend my whole time in committees. Um, Wednesday, November 12th is the governing committee meeting to review the November uh board agenda. You'll notice that that's on Wednesday because Tuesday is Veterans Day. So, uh there is no school that day. So, for whoever is attending that one, just please make sure you have it marked on Wednesday. Um and then we have our board meeting and a health and wellness committee meeting on November 20th. So, lots of um committee meetings, but I will say that, you know, um couple committee reports were

given earlier this evening and I really think that the work that we're doing in the committees is really good work and >> um at this point I think everyone has been at one committee meeting and I think we've had really good discussions um and I think we're moving things in the right direction. So, you see anything um different with the health and wellness committee any kind of changes to the brand that >> uh hopefully at the health and wellness committee meeting that one in November uh I hope that we have an update for you the March professional development day do you remember the date for that Paula >> March 13th the entire afternoon is going to be all health and wellness uh we're bringing in Ann Campbell from CA Boseies and she's planning and she's

is going to run that whole afternoon. So hopefully we'll have information for you at that committee meeting about what we have planned for that day. Um and then just go from there. >> You all set? >> All right. I guess I just need a motion to journal. Hey buddy, I just wanted to say that I had a chance to go to New York City with the drama club. It was uh I think all the students had a great time. It was a lot of fun. Everybody learned a lot. Um Donna did a great job with the itinerary. Um I think it went flawlessly and getting in and out of the city with all those kids was easy. Very easy. >> So seemed well, very well planned. Was a good time. So, thank you. >> Just

wanted to update everybody on that. >> Very nice. And um just as a um we have decided that um unless there's a question at the governing committee about a field trip request that's going to be on the board agenda for the following week. Instead of having pres presentations uh at that meeting, we're going to only have the presentations of students coming in after they've gone on a trip. Um because I know you all really want to hear how those kids enjoyed the Indianapolis Speedway. Yeah. Um so the only time we'll have those groups come in is if you have questions about approving a field trip. Um so look for that coming up um the next couple months to have uh some students from the New York City trip or other trips that are happening to

just give you a little five minute rundown of how it went. Um I think that'll add a lot of value for them to share the experiences with you >> I think behind it because 99% of the time >> we always approve them anyway >> especially ones that are ongoing every year. So no sense for them to come present. I'd rather come >> afterwards. Absolutely. You know, present exactly what they did, how they did, you know, >> because we ran into that situation with the FFA, right? >> Because they had they went ahead time to get their right their it in. So Paige had reached out to me and I said, "Well, we've done it in the past and I think the board would have an issue just saying go ahead and you know, let them

go and they'll present afterwards. All right. Well, before we get into work session, I guess I got to adjourn this meeting. So, I need a motion to adjourn this. A motion. >> We got James with second. >> Max with a second at 26. All in favor? >> Oppos? All right. What was the restroom after
