I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> All right. We are going to start tonight's meeting with a middle school moment. Something they have to present for us. >> Yes, we do. We do. We'll start with a simple thing that I want you to think about. Ever notice around the house sometimes the water stains or water marks that you get maybe on an end table, coffee table, or even here at school on our tables. But we got you covered here in the middle school because our tech department came up with something that you could use every single day. and it's small enough that you can travel with it to any meetings that
you have or maybe a family gathering over this holiday season. So, I'd like to introduce Mr. Banko, our technology teacher. And what we did is we developed coasters. >> So, these are [laughter] these are all handl >> these are all handmade for board appreciation month by our eighth grade students. So this was their first because they rotate every 10 weeks. So this was their first shop project spot down there. >> Oh yes, >> she doesn't show up. >> And if you take a look, if you examine the coaster, you'll see that we have the Holland colors engrained in the wood. Now any party that you go to or any family gathering over this holiday season, bring your homemade coaster [laughter] in your pocket. You are always hang on >> the board. You are here to
support us. You are here to support our students. And sometimes it's a thankless job. So when you have your drink of choice, your coffee, your water, or whatever you like to enjoy after a hard day at work, rest assured you have the middle school that will be supporting you. >> There you go. >> Thank you. >> Thanks. These are really nice. Some of them might still have a little bit of oil on them from the finish. So, if there's a little oil, just mineral oil. It's not gonna damage anything. But, everyone's a little different. They were all handmade by the kids. >> In addition, >> we have some uh some notes from uh a fifth and sixth grade art class, Miss Jim Brier's class. They wrote some comments for you just saying how thankful that
they are, that you are supporting them and what they do every day. So there you go. Thank you. >> All right. Uh result upon the recommendation of the superintendent of schools, the board of education approve personnel items 4 through 8. And that is >> five. >> Oh, five through eight. I'm sorry. That is a correction. 5 through eight. >> May I have a motion? >> Kelly. >> Second, Russ. Any discussion? >> All in favor? Any opposed? Motion carried 6. Uh resolve the board of education approve the minutes from the October 27th, 2025 regular board meeting. May I have a motion? >> Move a second. >> Second. >> Any discussion? All in favor? >> Any opposed? >> Motion carried 6. Resolve that the board of education approve the minutes from the October 28th, 2025 special board
meeting executive session. May I have a motion? >> So, a second. >> Any discussion? All in favor? >> Motion carried 6. Any amendments or adjustments to the agenda? Resolve that the following consent agenda items be approved. Uh this is also a correction. 9A cse and CPSSE recommendations and 10 A throughJ financial reports. May I have a motion? So >> second. >> Okay. Uh any discussion? >> All in favor? I >> any opposed motion carried 6. We have the updated school safety plan that will be posted uh for a 30-day window for public comments available on board on the website. >> And this is because we have the law cardiac response plan. So we had to list the names of people who already had the CPR training on it. And so it would be up for
public comment. you approve this and obviously the names are not >> perfect. Uh next we have a senior class trip presentation. >> Hi. Um for those of you who don't know me, my name is Becca Jinger. I'm the senior class advisor. I also teach Mata High School. Um Chris, you have the presentation. So this year we're asking your permission to go on there's also a actual Canva presentation. >> Is it linked >> right there? >> Yeah. >> So we're asking your permission to go on a different type of trip this year. Um last year our trip was the last couple years our trip was to Disney. Um, and as the years keep going by, the trip keeps getting more and more expensive. Um, and it's not becoming a senior trip anymore. It's becoming a trip
for only the kids who can afford it. Um, so this year, if you can go to the next slide, we had quite an extensive planning process. Um, at the beginning of the school year, we voted between, we did give the kids the option if they wanted to go to Disney, which would cost them around $2,000, or a more affordable trip, around $500. Um, it was a close vote. The vote resulted in 24 students wanting the more affordable trip, 17 students wanting Disney. Uh, there is a total of 48 students in the senior class, but we only had 41 that voted. Um then after that vote happened, I had a planning committee of any students who were able to stay after school with me. Um we met on September 19th to start brainstorming some options that
would cost, you know, around that $500. We were trying to come up with ideas of places we could take a bus to because that would cut costs and also come up with activities that they wanted to do as a group together to make it the best senior trip for them. And then I spent some time reaching out to travel agencies looking for quotes. Then the planning committee met again in October 17th and we narrowed down the options to three options. Um the three options were the Villa Resort which was at the Catscale Mountains but that resort is only available to us January 29th weekend. The Split Rock resort which is the Poconos Mountains. There were flexible dates for that. and then going to Sand Dusky, Ohio. And the only available date for us to go
for that trip was June 5th. Um, I had a meeting with the whole senior class. I pulled them fifth period because that's when they're all there. And I explained to them all of the options for senior trip. um the dates, the costs, what everything included, meals and activities, and I asked them to go home and talk to their families and their friends about the three different options of trips and to see what trip they were most interested in going on. We then had a vote and the vote was completed where there were 21 votes for the Villa Roma Resort um and 10 votes for both Split Rock and Sandusky. So again, we had those 41 votes out of 48. Um, which is exciting because then to me that means 41 people are interested in a
trip. That is my goal. I actually have it on my Christmas list on the board that McKenzie helped me write up is 100% of students going on senior trip is my goal because the last couple years it's only been 50% and that's not really a whole senior trip. So, the kids picked Villa, which some stuff that we're doing at Varoma is it's three days and two nights. It's available to us from Thursday, January 29th to Saturday, January 31st. We'll be leaving Thursday morning, um, and getting there Thursday at like 11:00 a.m. And then we'll have the day, rest of the day Thursday, whole day Friday, and then Saturday we'll leave at 11:00 a.m. from Fer Roma and come back here. The estimated cost is around 500. This is $543 to 608. I did the math.
Um the cost varies directly based off of how many kids are going. The more kids go, the cheaper it'll be because they're splitting that bus cost. The cost per student is the same for the um resort no matter how student how many students we have, but they're splitting the bus cost, which is where the variation comes from. Um included in this is six meals. They all happen at the resort. Everything happens at the resort. Um, which is on the next slide. We have an indoor pool and jacuzzi. There's a game room, a weight room, basketball, raetball, botchi board, shuffle board, ping pong, pickle ball, handball, unlimited snow tubing, bowling. There's an inflatable Funland park, a bonfire that they're going to set up for us with marshmallows, a movie night with popcorn, a DJ dance party,
and karaoke. So, something that like really appealed to these students is there was a lot of activities that we could do all together. Um, kind of something that happened at Disney is it's so big that they all separated and just hung out with whoever they hung out with normally. This gives them an opportunity to all stay together. There is an additional cost if the student chooses. If they want to go skiing or snowboarding, they can do that. that's um an extra $40 and there's a shuttle that takes them to it, but not everyone has to do it. Everybody can slide and that is free. That's included with the trip. Um there's also a laser tag if they're interested as well. Um I put this up for the kids. I didn't know if it was important
for you guys to know too, but it was just part of my presentation to them is that in the end of January, the average low temperature is 9 degrees. The average high is 25 and they get about 10 to 18 inches of snow. I think some of them were concerned like if there's not enough snow to go sledding, but the Catskill Mountains seem to have a good amount of base, so they should be okay with that. Um, linked in here so you can look at it later as well is the website for the resort, the information for skiing and snowboarding, and all those other activities. So, the fundraiser options that were available to the kids, they've been able to fundra for this since their freshman year. Um, the freshman year they had a candle sale.
Sophomore year they sold perogis and flower bulbs. Junior year they sold chocolate. And right now we're doing the gift card sale. So if anybody is in need of gift cards for Christmas, they will be in before Christmas. If you don't know a senior you'd want to support, I think you might know one that you might want to support. Um but if you don't, please feel free to reach out to me. Um I will find a senior who is in need of that fundraising. >> Sheets with the dress. Um, I have some key takes takeaways about this trip. It is costfriendly. So, the trip is affordable for all students. As of right now, looking at the what students have in their accounts, I already have 13 students who have $200 already. Um, one student has 300,
one student already has 400, and I actually have two students who will already be able to afford the trip. They already have $600 from what they've done in years past. And this gift card fundraiser is very lucrative for the students who actually work to fund raise. I've had students in the past raise up to $570 in this fundraiser alone. The students seem genuinely excited for a different style trip. They're excited to be the first class to possibly do something new. Um, and I also asked both the bus and the resort what happens if we have a snowstorm and we can't make it. Um, the bus is fully refundable and the resort is willing to work with us to reschedule to another date. So, something I also said to the kids is that it's not necessarily
about the destination, it's about going together. Um, so with your permission, we would love to go to the Catskill Mountains. What questions do you have for me? >> Thank you for all that works. Oh my goodness. Yes, I and I'm really excited. I think it's going to be a really fun trip. Um, but it's it's soon and if you don't know, I'm getting married a month later. So, it is [laughter] it is a lot, but it's really exciting. I'm excited about it. I'm really excited that they did so much for it. You know, they really sat down and we brainstormed what what do we want to do? How can we make it work? What is reasonable? what's not reasonable. So, it's good and it's a chance for them to understand as they grow older, too,
how to plan a vacation. >> Are the seven kids that didn't vote or they're probably not? >> I don't I don't think so, but I'm going to try. I really I really am going to try, but um I it's it's my Christmas wish to have them all come, but I I don't I don't know if we'll get them all to come, but I would love to get the 41 to come. I think 41 out of 48 would be great. and then make the memories together and then all [clears throat] cry when they graduate. >> Thank you. >> Any special matters of recogn All right. Administrators and supervisors reports. Since this is my school right now, I'll go first. All right. First marking period, academic recognitions. Um, middle school enrollment. We're at 233. And out of
that total, we had 187 middle school students earn a place on the high honor, honor, or merit role. Um, middle school students today attended a schoolwide assembly sponsored by our arts and education entit entitled I can't Yet. It was an engaging program that explores how mistakes can lead to success. The presenter used humor and audience audience participation. The show emphasizes goal setting, step-by-step learning, and the importance of perseverance. He used juggling, balancing skills to illustrate the concept in a dynamic and memorable way. So, this program has also been featured at Strong National Museum of Play, Trin Trinity, Montasuri in East Rochester, and uh a number of other schools throughout the Rochester area. And tomorrow, we're going to have a another presentation by Horizon. They're going to come in, they're going to visit the school and
deliver presentations on topics including internet safety, cyber bullying, and the impact and its impact on mental health. And we're going to divide that up into four different sessions uh with the fifth graders uh going by themselves, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders also going by themselves. And we also have the Rock coming to the middle school and that's the rural outreach center. They'll be setting up an office here in the middle school soon. Uh we're just trying to hammer out uh just the final details. I know Kathy has already signed a MOA. Is that how you say it? Okay. and uh yeah, they're going to be here to help students with social emotional needs and I think it's long overdue here for the middle school and we have ongoing parent teacher conferences and they'll continue tomorrow
as well until 2:20. So that's it. That's all I have. >> All right, I don't have the gusto that Mr. Gdaddy had earlier, but uh the high school is doing really well. We have the Christmas Carol coming up. Uh it's coming really fast, which is unusual since it's normally in February is when our musical is. So the play is coming up straight after the Thanksgiving break. So it'll be the 5th and the six, right? Uh you can buy tickets online through our ticketing app for that. Row um row O has been removed. So if you do buy tickets in row O, you will have a seat. So the auditorium is labeled in a strange manner that O just doesn't exist. So last year I happened to buy row O and I had to stand the
whole thing. I'm just kidding. It was overseas, but so real husband got me fixed that. Um, big thank you to Scott Chris for working with the project budget and the service planer I talked to you guys about last board meeting. He was able to work that into the project budget and we got the planer like six days later. It's up and running. Mr. Beno's used it's phenomenal. Um, compared to the old one we had, which probably could be original to like the wood shop there. Um, this one's quiet. The vacuum system is louder than the actual planer itself and it should last as long as I'm here for the next 17 years at least. So, um, that'll be great for that. Winter sports have begun. Um, so working with that with Mr. Adams. We also
have our after school supports for those students who are in need in our family classes to still participate for the eligibility stuff. Um, our parent teacher conferences started today after school. We had a full day. So, we had the evening and then we have the afternoon tomorrow since there's typically less parent teacher conferences at the high school. Um, we reached out to about 60 families. We got 30 of them to sign up and out of that the 30 there's 58 different 15 minute scheduled um sessions for that. Uh the middle school principal interviews have went really well. Um we had our screener round, then we uh Kelly and I did a screener round. Then we had a um nineperson committee round [snorts] for round one in person here at the library. Uh that was two
Mondays ago on our superintendent day. Um and from there so we had 23 people to start. We screened 11. Um, and then we interviewed six because one dropped out or one didn't show. And then Kelly and I and Emma and Britney interviewed four from there and we have it down to two people that we're forwarding to. [snorts] Um, Kathy for her approval and interview. Um, and so that's next week Tuesday. I think you have that signed up. Um, so hopefully we'll have someone all lined up. The two candidates that we have are phenomenal. Both of them will be a great fit. Um, we also have the tech teacher posting out. Steve Q put in his resignation, which we knew was coming. He wants to re-retire. Um, so he is going to be leaving at the
end of January, so hopefully we'll have um another person in to to finish up the year and then start really rebuilding our tech department. Um, and then in other random news, Sunshine Club is hosting a soup off. Um, so the the high school Sunshine Club is I don't know if yours is doing anything, but the high school soup off tomorrow. So, teachers are bringing in soups to see who has the best soup. And then I'm doing a pie competition tomorrow. So, for the next five or for the first five periods of tomorrow, um there will be riddles throughout the day to find the location of a pie. And whoever finds a pie gets to keep the pie. >> Are you eating pies or they throwing them at you? >> You didn't put that in the
email. >> I didn't put that in the email. That's true. >> That's an idea. >> But I fell into some pies. So, I have to be in the mouth. >> Any questions for me at high school? All right. >> Hi everyone. Um so we had our super conference day on November 10th. Um it was a choose your own adventure theme. Um so the faculty got to choose from a list of uh sessions that were flexible and meaningful and relevant to them. And some examples of that were um special ed and general ed teacher collaboration. There was um AI tools. Uh there was um different edtech um options available and then also there was some mandatory sessions for some groups. Um so we had some um instructional coaches from uosis come and do some trainings. We
had a teacher aid workshop on behalf for UPK through grade 8 teachers. And we also have almost 30 staff trained or retrained in CPR and Um, we also had our monthly instructional leadership team meeting last week for department chairs where we reviewed the final draft of our professional learning plan and also went over a brief really briefly the portrait of a graduate and start thinking about what that may look like in our work. And last, um, we've been working on uh, the least restrictive environment for our IEPs. um with the change in leadership and in my role in the past few years, there's been some inconsistencies with how we're um coding the programs and the hours and the minutes and where they are in the IEP. Um so we're part of a targeted skills group
for that work. And last year that team did um a guideline of what the programs look like and what um the hours and the locations are for each one so that we're consistent across the district. So, I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Lauria Reky and Steph Files for sitting with me a full day in my office and we looked through every single IEP of the district to make sure it was aligned with that. So, we're hopefully going to be on on track for that work. Now, >> thank you. Um, and Kelly is over at the elementary school. She wants to be greeting parents that are coming because you know at the elementary school they actually show up for conferences. Everybody, everybody cares when they're little. Um, before I even start, I
want to say thank you to all of the administrators because there's been a lot going on and they've done a lot of really good work. We've had a lot of great feedback from the work that's happening in the buildings. Um, things are going really well here today. I said something to Carl. He said, "Excuse me, I just rent space here." [laughter] I think I I think he knows he's on his way out, right? But he is entertaining. >> Really? I didn't know that tomorrow. >> The audacity of that. informing me. >> We'll have to talk tomorrow. Um anyway, there's um you have 14 responses to your committee um for people to sign up. I think they put comments in what they wanted to do and stuff. So, you have that now I think, right? >>
Um I meeting with Boseies uh next week. They want to look at um holding their summer school here. So, um obviously I want to make that happen if I can. This building be off limits. Um, you know, so they were going to East War and wherever they were dragging their stuff. They're still going to have to move it, but maybe they can be in the elementary school just for this year. >> Why would this be >> project? We can't move. >> Um, I have been looking at things for the SRO. We'll continue to talk about it. I'll send you some information. I may have pushed off already. I talked to um Chief Carney at the sheriff's office. He sent me some pricing part time and fulltime. He sent like the a salary for the a
new person and the um salary for um a person who's been there for a very long time to give us some idea. I talked to Doug Scoffield and um I think I put in my update they use Tyrion and they use the town. Um he's he's really happy with Tyrion. He said they do whatever they ask them to do. They design your program for them. They do charge well I think he's paying them $55 an hour. Um and I also spoke with Jeff Hack that I know a couple of you did as well. Um and so and I I also got a message from Jill. You know, we'd have to kind of be careful how we use the constables if that's the route we wanted. They can't be used for law enforcement. Um but we
certainly could maybe use them for some of our events, which we've done in the past and it was an expensive way, you know, to do that. And maybe we can try to figure out something in here after the first of the year a little bit, right? Can't do a lot. I do have a placeholder in next year's budget. It's still not what, you know, the SRO was charging us, for example, from the sheriff's, but you know, we'll go from there. Um, so we'll talk further about that. I went to an advocacy um dessert forum with Mary Joe on the 13th. I'm really still not sure though if I was hired for the buck or the superintendent skills because somehow she rips me into them every time. Um but anyway, we um I sat at a
table both with um DPHR and Galligan's representatives. Um actually the first table I was at was really really good and there were two Hamburg board members at that table. We had some really great discussions. Um and pretty much, you know, we're all looking for very similar things. Among them, the bus mandate and some other unfunded mandates. All of that said, um I told them something that I actually told Senator Gillan years ago when he came to my office. Um in my opinion, they should find a different way to fund special education and the Kenny Vento because we have no control over those things. It's really hard for us to figure out our budget and to have the taxpayer shoulder that when we could end up with a student that should have exactly what they need
but might cost us a half a million dollars. And yes, we will get high cost aid when we get the money back the next year. That's irrelevant. We still have to figure out what we're going to do this year. And it's the same thing with the homeless deal. You know, we have to transport students within 50 miles. We don't even have buses to do that. And then here we are, you know, transporting um we could go to North Carolina and you have to bring a kid back. So um who knows if they'll go anywhere, but I shared my thoughts. Um the um contracts are all completed now and you're kind of on a cycle. Okay. You have your confidentials, Paula. No, I'm kidding. Um your confidentials and your um uh uh teachers on a three-year
contract. You have um your administrators on a four and you have the teamsters on a and you have some consistency of percentages and how things are. So hopefully that's moving us forward. It's also helping us to get the budgets ready for the next three to five years. Um Britney and I will try to maybe share the 26 27 tentative budget with you next week, next meeting, so we can kind of get an idea of what we're doing um where we're at and some other ideas of what you you want to see there. um the um CARES audit is approved if you guys don't know and thank you very much to Britney and to the administrators and especially Jason for being very creative. It was a nightmare. It was a year-long thing for all that s
of money that we got and nobody's here to answer any questions and how we spent it and for what we did. So they were back and forth for a year literally like could be weekly um trying to figure out because we had to obviously validate how we said we were going to use the money initially and how we did. So we finally got you know okay and that's a big kudos to all of them and it was a lot of work and a lot of aggravation. Um the um can't read my writing but you know oh we are still contracting two runs. We contracted for November. We're contracting for December so that we can ensure that our mechanics and our transportation supervisor are not on the bus all the time. Um the rock Carl already
told you the rural outreach center is going to now be in the middle school as well as they have been in the elementary school. We think that'll help us. They have reached out he and Kate to see about Horizon's coming here as well. It's free. You know, we just have to give them a room a day a week. Unfortunately, there's like a waiting list for >> long waiting list >> a very long waiting list. So, we'll see. We're on it. Anyway, gas by I already told you about the the management system at the least um is going to have to seriously be looked at and figured out. So, as soon as I have some numbers, I'll meet with Scott tomorrow to maybe we can give the guy a nudge um and get some pricing and
we'll let you know. Um we've got a few postings out and um one is for a middle school cook manager that we haven't been able to fill and [clears throat] another one is for a lifeguard. We need the light or we can't teach swimming places over here. So, we don't have any extra people to go in there. And um Jason shared with you that Stephen Q is retiring. So, we'll be looking for a tech teacher. Um we did just submit our farm to school grant. I think I told you about the grant writer that we don't pay her unless you know we're successful and we get the grant and then she'll write her fee in there. Um that was a lot of work. So, thanks to Jess and Britney and the grant writer, they got
it done. Um the day it was finally submitted. There's a million people looking for it. We're not anticipating we're going to get, but you never know, right? So, anyway, we did we did a pretty good job with it and we've got partners like we're supposed to have. Um, you already heard about the parent teacher conferences. Um, today I had a meeting with um two union leaders um and I have some handouts I'll give you and basically no complaints. Okay. Um it was a very good conversation. Um and it was more about they've had conversations with the staff in all of the buildings and you know sometimes people complain, sometimes people ask questions. Nobody really is ever sure what's going on and they're not sure that they want to make sure that we also understand impacts
of the cut. I can assure you that everything that's on this list I could have in my list. Okay. We're fully aware. Um, but we had a really good conversation and I helped them to understand the kinds of things that we're doing and where we're going. And while I could promise them no cuts this year, I truly promised them that I could put any of these positions back in, but that we were looking at the SRO and that we would continue to look at things as we move forward. But I will share this also with the administrators tomorrow. I mean, I have a vested appreciation for everything they say here and nothing is excessive. I mean it really is the impact of what has happened as we've cut people. So something to read if you
have questions let me know. And the last thing I think I have for you is that we are interviewing on the second like Jason said with Bonnie and Mary Joe and I the two very very um capable I believe principles from what I've heard and I've talked to teachers too. Everybody is very happy um with how the process has gone out and I'm going to thank Jason for doing that. I think I'm done. Sorry. >> All right. I think that takes us to item 9B. Resolve that the board of education adopt the attached 2627 budget development calendar. >> Uh may I have a motion? A second. >> Second. Rest. [snorts] Any discussion? >> All in favor? >> Any opposed? >> 70 priest. [laughter] Don't ring [laughter] >> resolved upon the recommendation of the superintendent of
schools that the board of education approved the attached MOA between the Holland Central School District and the Holland Teachers Association should be on the board. May I have a motion? >> So moved. >> A second. >> Second. >> Any discussion? >> All in favor? Any opposed? Motion carried 70. Uh result upon the recommendation of the superintendent of schools that the board of education approve the requested senior field trip as presented by Miss Justinger, senior class advisor. May I have a motion? >> So move. >> May I have a second? >> Second. >> Any discussion? All in favor? >> Any opposed? Motion carried. >> Paul wants to go with you [laughter] know that already. Resolved that the board of education approve the resolution for Holland CSD to contract Erie Bust Incorporated for transportation as attached. Uh
they have a motion >> second Russ. Any discussion? All in favor? >> Any opposed? 70. takes us to committee reports. Anything new? Uh, NISBA, RSA, ECASB. >> No, just that I attended the dessert forum with Kathy again. It was it was nice to sit down and talk to the people from the local offices of our representatives. Um, I did reach out uh Karen Howard was at our table and I told her about the letter that I sent Senator Galvin and then uh Friday that Friday they sent me a letter saying that he is co-sponsoring that bill and hopefully we can not have to worry about the bus mandate because that's pretty much going to which is great because a lot of districts just can't afford it. I mean, we we get the whole point of
the environment and everything, but it costs money and some of us are financially can't afford it. It's big projects that bring these buses in and we don't even have the grid work to support it. So, so it's nice that he's co-sponsoring that bill. So we'll we can track that on bill track 50 and see where it >> goes. We actually have a couple I think I already pushed out to look at I don't know and I we need to get back on but my understanding is you don't buy into the administrative service. You don't buy into policy service. an administrative guy to go with the policy. So, I don't know. I really need to talk to >> I know you don't you don't even want to know. >> You have policies. You have a book
like this big. Yeah. And so the administrative manual is more the steps that you would take that we would take here in Holland to implement the policy. But apparently we've only bought into the policy portion, not administrative portion. So, >> it's still >> I've learned we get our updates as things go on. You know, we update them, we fix them, we bring them to you to approve them when we need to. So, we're still in compliance and we're doing everything, but it would be nice to be able to do the policy and have the step process at the same time. So, I look at it, but anything we we have a few little ones we're looking at now. I have to push off to these guys, see if there's anything to You'll see them for
a first but nothing major negotiations. >> We should be done. >> Wall of honor, I don't think. Transportation, just really good news on the electric bus plan may go through. [snorts] Um tech plan, nothing new there. We haven't um finance and audit where you are and I forgot to mention um the ACE run a runs should have been in about now they're not maybe the first or second week in December they're expected >> facilities we had a meeting right before this um went over some extra optional uh scopes of work due to some very attractive bidding on our current capital project. Um, and everything else is progressing along our normal timeline with that project. Nothing new was introduced. So, good there. We have some information on upcoming activities. Another half day of school for tomorrow.
Great for great for parents. >> Andrew does not like this. >> We have have some meetings coming up should be up up there. Um, no second privilege of the floor. We have our round table start. >> Um, nothing much. School's going very good. The place I'm going to play this year. Um, we got two weeks left, so it's coming up very quickly. Um, I had my volleyball banquet two weeks ago that went very well. Um, yeah, >> we'll all be in Rojo. >> [laughter] >> It's the fifth and sixth and sixth and Saturday. >> Tom, [clears throat] >> no. Believe it or not, >> Russell, >> no. >> Bonnie, >> no. >> Mary Joe, >> no. >> Um, I just have an update from the committee stuff. Um, we have I think it was 11.
There's [snorts] a couple tests in here. So, I don't know if my count's proper, but I think 11 people have signed up um as interested in being on the committees that we announced in the last couple months. Um so, I will be crafting email to reach out to all of them. Um I think our goal should be to get those rolling for the beginning of the the year if we can pick some dates and times that work and also who from the board will be representing us on each of those committees. Um, we do not have anyone interested in the advocacy committee right now. So, I don't know, Mary Joe, if you have any know anyone that's, you know, PTO or anything else that might be >> interested in that. We can we can all
see if we know someone. >> Um, but plenty of people for both the community relations and the enrichment committee. Um, so I don't think we have enough that we're going to have to turn people away. Um, so that's a good thing, but there's enough that I know people are actually interested. So, That's great. >> I thought so. >> Perfect. And resolved that the board of education adjourn to executive session at 6:40 p.m. for the purpose of discussing personnel and commissions. I have a motion second. Second. Any discussion? All in favor? >> Opposed at 70.
