But before before we get started, I want to thank some of the people who made this possible tonight. I want to thank Miss Abby Reinhardt, [Applause] Miss Carol. They worked hard to put together this ceremony for tonight. So this evening, we'll begin by recognizing our teachers and teaching assistants who are receiving tenure this year. Tenure is not just a title. It's a recognition of excellence you've demonstrated in the classroom, the mentorship you provided our students, and the unwavering commitment you've shown to our mission. Tenure is not only a vote of confidence, it's also a reminder to lead with integrity, to keep learning, and to spot and to inspire those who follow in your footsteps. We're

002looking forward to seeing you, seeing what you all do in the future. We will then celebrate our faculty and staff who are entering a new phase of their lives and they'll start their retirement. Each of you have contributed uniquely and profoundly to our school community. You spend years shaping not just minds but lives, teaching with your heart, leading with passion, and caring deeply about the success and well-being of the students of the Kingston City School District. Retirement is not the end of your story. It's the start of a brand new chapter. We hope it's filled with joy, relaxation, travel, hobbies, and time spent with the ones you love most. I would ask Dr. Collins to please come up. [Applause] It is with mixed feelings that I'm standing up here um to honor Suzanne Jordan who since I have the microphone I will just say I'll miss dearly. I know I will see her as a friend and a neighbor um but I'll miss you so much on the board. So on behalf of the board, I'd like to share with you a resolution. Whereas Suzanne Jordan has devoted her time, energy, and expertise to the Kingston City School Board of Education for the past nine years. Whereas Suzanne Jordan has contributed immeasurably to the development and refinement of

007school policies to create a safe, supportive and effective educational environment for all children. Whereas Suzanne Jordan lent her intellect and expertise, her keen eye for detail, and her steadfast commitment to equity and inclusion as chair of the policy committee. Whereas Suzanne Jordan applied her experience and nuanced understanding to the teaching and learning committee supporting initiatives that enhance academic achievement, social emotional learning, and access to educational resources and opportunities for all students. Whereas Suzanne Jordan has been a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, working to ensure that all students feel represented, included, respected, and heard. Whereas Suzanne Jordan has modeled empathic leadership by seeking to understand different perspectives when working toward consensus. Whereas Suzanne Jordan exemplified maintaining a sharp focus on the Kingston City School District's core mission and values when seeking pathways for action.

008Whereas Suzanne has served the students, staff, faculty, and community of Kingston City Schools for 34 years. Whereas the board recognizes that Suzanne Jordan's dedication, leadership, and service have had a lasting positive impact on the students, teachers, and staff of Kingston City School District. Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Kitty Kingston City School District board hereby expresses its sincere gratitude, admiration, and appreciation to Suzanne Jordan for her exemplary service and commitment to the district's mission and vision. And be it further resolved that the members of the board of education wish Suzanne the health, well-being, and time to spend with dear friends and family, and to continue her quest to make the world a better place with the knowledge and satisfaction of having had a positive and lasting impact on the Kingston City School District students,

009families, faculty, and staff, and board of education. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Dr. Palino said I can speak as long as I want. That's because he's so glad I'm retired. I just want to thank everybody, especially tonight. I want to congratulate all of the retirees and wish them health. everything else will follow as long as you have your health. And for the newly tenured people, I just like to say tenure is not for you. It's for your students. It's now that you get to stand up for them without any fear that you're not doing the right thing. So tenure is a powerful powerful gift that you have been given tonight. And I just hope that you use it well and remember it's for your students. [Applause] Thank you, Miss Jordan. No one.
