me too it is 7 10. I would like to call our regular public sessions into order will the clerk please call the road Mr Spicer oh I'm here this year here Mr Shaughnessy Excuse miss loud Dear Mr lamb Miss Jordan here Dr Jacob here Dr Collins chair Smith Anderson here did everyone please rise for the Pledge of Allegiance one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all I would like to begin our meeting by educating a motion to amend tonight's agenda removing a board recognition from our Board of Education reports any discussion all in favor please say aye um opposed name motion passage anonymously next I would like to entertain a motion to approve the minutes of our November 2nd and November 16 minutes seconds move and second to any discussion hearing none

all in favor of approving November 2nd and November 16th minutes please say aye aye opposed nay the minutes are approved unanimously we continue our meet our meeting with open public comments and I'll begin by reading our public comments statement online would anyone like to make a public comment thank you [Laughter] excellent Clerk of the board next on our agenda is our superintendent report Dr petalino please thank you Mr Spicer a personal superintendent report today we have Miss Kathleen sickles who's going to give her our presentation from Crosby Elementary School good evening everyone it's great to see everyone I am proud to stand here and talk to you all about the goals and successes that we have had have had happened at Dr Crosby Elementary I am excited to talk to you about the successes that

we and the progress that we are making and and I'm honored to in a school that I'm honored to lead tonight's presentation will highlight some of the um academic Movement we have seen at the school and that is in direct correlation to the dedication of the entire faculty and staff of Crosby Elementary and I proudly stand here representing them and their accomplishments tonight I hope so I'm going to Jump Right In one of our commitments um is we will provide a welcoming and affirming environment and this is something that I covered last year but I wanted to update you on the things that we've added um and just to give you a sense of How It's morphing every year to be better and better so as you remember from last year's presentation this is our

cultural celebration virtual bookshelf it's very popular it does a lot of great work at our school since last year we've added a lot of different activities and titles and videos so that it's nice and fresh every year so far we have celebrated Hispanic Latino Heritage Month diversity and inclusion with a focus on disabilities National Native American Heritage Month holidays around the world and this month we are celebrating cultural diversity through food so that's how we can have have children can learn how different cultures celebrate through food so using the virtual bookshelf teachers can click to hear stories read history have that to find activities and play videos to celebrate different cultural focuses each month and it's updated monthly we celebrate student learning through the morning announcements through PE music art Library um and in the

hallways all of their work is celebrated every day and teachers can pick whatever activities they would like to show with students based on the students in front of them so this is just an example of one class and how they celebrated and learned more about holidays around the world we had students who during the course of December over several weeks they flew around the school with their passports in hand they landed in different countries and in each country they learned about the culture about the food about the music they did they did crafts they did stories and then they would fly to the next destination so that was a really fun just one example of of how this is kind of playing out at Crossing other ways we provide a welcoming and affirming environment we

have two ways that we celebrate both weekly and monthly we have positive student behaviors are highlighted in this way we have gotcha winners that you can see it's on a billboard billboard a bulletin board in the front lobby so all can enjoy and see um gotchas are given at the end of each month and agacha is when students are caught doing doing the right thing um one student from kindergarten through second grade is nominated or are chosen and another student from third and fourth grade has chosen so it's two of the week is also something that we um we are focusing on and the focus changes weekly depending on the week so the first week of each month it's most improved and most improved is either in their academics in their behaviors or in attendance

the next week would be cafeteria recess Behavior that's where the monitors two students who are showing those positive student behaviors the next week is theme of the month and depending on the theme this month we are celebrating responsibility so this month students can be nominated or this week students can be nominated for responsible behaviors and we teach them explicitly what that might look like that changes in the morning announcements we give many different examples of what responsible behavior might look like and then at the end of the month we celebrate attendance and with attendance we take students who have had one or less tardies or absences put them into all of them are nominated automatically and then at the end of that winners from both gotchas and students of the week are chosen using a

random digital program on the morning announcement so they can see their names spinning on a wheel the wheel stops and that's how the student wins so Crosby students are celebrated this way and we literally have no discipline issues because the kids love to be part of it they love to see their progress the staff lips see their progress and the parents love to see their products so another one of our commitments at Crosby school is that we will have high expectations and provide rigorous instruction in addition in addition to providing explicit instruction to all students Crosby is focused on a skilled deficit or a skill specific deficit um idea where we look at what skills students are are missing if they're if they're performing below grade level um we have some building-wide initiatives that I'd

also like to share to show you how that how that's playing out so each Monday during the morning announcements a new Award of the week is introduced it's introduced daily um this is the list of words we've all already gone through so far this year last year we focused primarily on mathematic words this year we intentionally chose words that have an Ela and math base so this is what the morning announcement might look like the word of the week I read it I read the definition um every day um teachers throughout the week will send me an example of what students are doing as they work with these different vocabulary words so I have I want some I brought some here I want to share you with you to show you what they look like

so we have this third grade student so the uh he drew a picture and defines a vocabulary vocabulary word difference and he's he writes if I do one thousand minus 100 the difference is 900. the difference means the answer to a subtraction problem so having them repeat this and and understand this so when they see on an assessment what that they're looking for the difference hearing it over and over and over K4 because all the students are hearing it at the same time they're more likely to be able to to pick it up and and run with it and not have to wonder and and not know and we have another example of a student using the vocabulary word in a different way so this third grade student used the word as a way to

show how two things are not alike or unlike so she writes a difference from a dog and a cat is one as a red Tabby and one is a one is a mother so there's there's third grade for you um but teaching students that many words can mean different things when they see them on an assessment they're more likely to perform in have yields higher performance on an assessment if they understand that many words have different meanings another thing that we were working on is we have a star assessment goal setting tool this is something that I've been wanting to put together and we finally we finally have it um and it's in we're using it with Fidelity so at this point students um will take ownership of their of their performance in the past

students May click through an assessment they may take two minutes to finish finish an assessment that should have taken them 15 minutes to complete now the student will set a goal after the the assessment the teacher will sit with the student view the goal see what the performance is comparatively and then set new goals and then the student will have ownership in that the one thing that I was hoping would happen did happen and many students come up to me and this we use a scale scale score is the number we use but I've had many many students come up to me and said Mississippi was I got 22 points higher on my my star assessment and that's never ever happened um so I'm grateful that the kids are getting it they're excited and if

a student does not perform and doesn't make their goal what we'll do then is see why you know is it what what lapses in in their Foundation are they missing so that we can figure that out and then work on it so that they'll have a better outcome in the spring in addition to uh while working on our set goals our building leadership team has played an incredibly large part in moving our building forward here are some of the examples of some of the other initiatives that we have going on we are also providing opportunities for monthly share outs at faculty meetings by grade focusing on reading comprehension and critical thinking that is an area of deficit that we had seen at the end of last year and so again at the beginning of this

year so it's a building-wide focus on these skills so at faculty meetings um each grade level each teacher in each grade level will talk about what they're doing in their classroom that is helping in those areas then teachers will share those resources or open a dialogue about well have you tried this or have you tried that so it really is um it's getting getting teachers an opportunity to talk to each other about good teaching and and also allowing others to share the resources that they already have the other thing is we also are in full swing with writer's Workshop we are in year three there's a lot of there's magic happening in this classroom and I invite all of you any of you to come in and take a look to see welcome to any

classroom and see the work that's happening it is incredible so please that that invitation is open for anyone Crosby is now a turnkey school where teachers have provided training during superintendent's conference days and that tells us that this will make this initiative sustainable long-term all right so how are we doing so for Star we have only has done the math assessment we're in the process of of administering the reading assessment so I don't have comparable data with that but I will show you what we have so far I'll give you a minute to take a look at that focus on the all um grade one is a bit of an anomaly so I want to kind of explain that students who in this in the fall who took the early lit assessment who scored high

enough can take the math assessment in on the next round and they can take the reading assessment as well so once they pass a certain level at early lit they can take the next level so three students did that and did well so that's why so that's just the representation of three students that took that test the garden Gray one they take the early lit all right so if we look at all students to date um if we compare the fall results to the winter results so um the fall is the yellow the winter is the green and we look if we look at the columns with the all students 38.3 percent of students who are at or above grade level in the fall compared to 52.5 percent now which is an increase of 14.2

percent which I'm very proud to um to show and this is a direct result of the dedication and work that the Crosby faculty and staff had so tirelessly put in to move these kids forward next I wanna show you the New York State assessment for ELA this is for last year the blue is Crosby the yellow is Kingston City school district and the Orange is New York state grade three results were slightly lower than we would have liked but we're working to build um that number up this year grade four did well and we are looking to raise that percentage as well for the students who are currently now in in the fourth grade moving on to math again the blue is Crosby yellow is is the district and Orange is New York state these

results if you look at those bars those blue bars show how the interventions and the initiatives are working Crosby scored higher than others schools and the average of New York State schools again this is a direct result of our Crosby's faculty and staff and the students who are working hard to to pull themselves out of a coveted fueled deficit so before I wind this down I wanted to say thank you to a few people who are who are just so um so dedicated and helpful and supportive first to Dr filicello for your continuing guidance and support Dr Olivero for her patience and and all things data um my Elementary Squad back here who are like family to me uh and I I love them like like they're my sisters uh and Dr patalino and the

board of ed for all of the support that you give to not only Crosby but to all of the Kingston state of school district schools um and recently learned a little nugget of information that I've done cartwheels about um and I'm not gonna do one now laughs so I learned and this is unofficial but I learned that Crosby is no longer a TSI School and that we are now an SSI school also known as School in good standing good job thank you again for all that you do to keep Crosby moving in the right direction does any trustee have any questions or comments for mysticals Ms Jordan I have a question and a comments I was wondering if the virtual bookshelf is available to families to uh can they access this from the library or

something we don't have it available now but that's something that we can absolutely do I think that's a wonderful idea and then maybe it could be shared even in another building absolutely I would love to see that and my comment is you've thanked your faculty and staff and everyone but I'd like to thank you because you're the leader who who made it possible and I just really appreciate all the work you've done this year thank you so much foreign it's a blessing everything so thank you thank you so much that's right that's right thank you so much appreciate it any other questions [Laughter] okay I understand your local grocery school because I was there and I am really so proud and pleased that the Baton passed to a really great leader thank you thank you

thank you so much so I had three comments before Dr Catalina goes first allowing children to help set their achievement goals makes them Partners in their own education and shows them the connection between daily work and the exams ahead so very effective tools thank you for that second I've noticed the report every single star math score showing Improvement except after first grade which is already at 71 percent was very encouraging to see and my last comment is I hope the child who drew that picture of that cat and that dog is being encouraged to become a future for Casa that's a great picture and thank you for your appreciation thank you just congratulations on you know the movement out of the TSI to the in good standing I know I've been sworn to secrecy and

not able to tell anyone before allowing the building leaders to tell them that's a very difficult for me you know because when you call a couple bad snow days you want to throw some good news thunder so congratulations to you great to say this out loud I'm so happy that it's out because now I can just tell the world so congratulations to you and your staff thank you so much I can't wait to tell them because I they don't know [Laughter] does anyone have any other questions or comments for this sickles no just congratulations thank you everyone continue without Christmas without superintendent okay so um we this time of year as we start looking at our budget um in our and the creation of our budget and we will hear from the governor next Wednesday

on her budget proposal um we start looking at what are our priorities as a board so every year we have this conversation so I just kind of opened the floor to start talking about what are the things that we're doing that we want to make sure that we keep sacred and that we thought and that we fund or what are some other ideas that the board um is hoping we can um apply some of our funding to make sure what happens in our schools that's just an open Mr chair but there should be more money and after time maybe if additional superintendent conference days for professionals to share with colleagues in District I think that would be wonderful addition to all the other things that we're doing I have to put the plugins for paint

painting okay I mean you know with facilities I know that I have like a broken record but our facilities need to be paid thank you very much this is carbon for a painter and that one painter is going to paint for a thousand years to clean everything I will put a plug-in for some kind of plan to address this dressing and why don't we roll right around the room if anybody has a suggestion for the budget priority and if you want to cast so and one thing we talk about every year is class size and keeping class size low I know that's been a priority and we've been able to do that certainly in the elementary schools and I would hope that we that would be continue to be a priority um in in the

elementary presentations today and then what we've seen a lot of conversation about the new curriculum and it seems to be really significant and having a good impact and so I'm hoping that I know it's taken a little while to roll out so I'm hoping that that continues and I'd love to hear a little bit more about the how we're going to then extend that into the middle school keeping the writing Workshop going or keeping the writing efforts going things like that um and then of course we have always focused on on SEF so social emotional learning making sure we have enough support and so in this budget process I'd love to do an accounting kind of what of where our supports are where our students are if we have the right spread because you know

things we even things change instead we should be paying attention to that and that our partners so Sports cameras let's talk and other partners that are doing a short adjustments for example um have access to the right staff and then and maybe all buildings if that's something that you can afford ance Jordan did you want to add um going along with what doctor Jacobs just said about our SEL um whatever your name is um but anyway um I think it's moving this way uh I so agree that we have to continue growing those programs but I also think we have to evaluate what we have been doing because I think that we might be hanging on to things that may not be as effective as some new things and I I think as a district

that's where I I would like to see more effort made so to make sure we're promoting things that actually are effective and the other thing that I would like to see is especially um trainings available to all staff and in our community about the escalation training in light of what's been going on in our country I think it's really important that we have specific tools available to everyone so that we're not statistics those are the things that occurred to me thank you Ms Jordan just to quickly if I could just want to speak to Something in the stars because I think it's really important especially this year and next because what we're doing is now that we're looking at the end of the arpa funding right so the valuation of what we're doing inside that

money is very very important and looking at you know if we're saying all these things that we've spent this 22 and a half million dollars on over the last three years is really making a difference well then they had to have replaced something else or or there's got to be something else maybe over here that has to we have to really take a look at this a little bit this is doing that what is this doing anymore kind of thing um you know we have a promise of fully found a fully funded Foundation aide this year but my argument would be and I think most small City School District boards and superintendents are moving that Foundation formula while fully funded is still not there to small City Schools so you know thinking that that's coming

along is going to solve our problems or make us flush with cash is not true and and as I said last year I'll say it again this year inflation hit school districts too so we are you know I think that evaluation process is really important in making decisions because that money is going to go away so if we're going to continue to spend money on those things and our piece of the pie remains relatively the same we have to really not only evaluate what we're doing here but evaluate the old the older things that we're doing saying are we holding on to something too long just because it's someone's favorite or it's a sacred um you know practice by a few without results that we want to see happen just said I think job one

for the school board is making sure our district continues its outstanding history of fiscal responsibility and solvency it's harder than you think especially with all the changes mentioned about our funding and such second is fully funding all of our school safety programs upgrades and increasing our initiatives and trainings third is making sure our budget supports the educational goals of our principals teachers and support staff and my last but not least is ensuring equitable distribution of resources services and programs to support the education of all of our children I have social emotional also and making sure that those dollars are being spent in the correct places and if it's not being used in one building at as much as another maybe we need to adjust where people are um I'm concerned about space for our programs

and the fact that we have some programs that are functioning on Wheels which is not a way to be I think we really need to look at our facilities and that and I also I'm concerned about class size so if we can focus in those places for me it'd be where I'm at thank you Dr account did you want to add sure um so I want to I post what it was said about the holding on and letting go of the important particularly those new initiatives that we've introduce those that will take through evaluation to sort of putting some effort time money data toward evaluation I also know that Personnel is the largest component of our budget right and um that is being said I feel that in order to follow through on our philosophy

of diversity equity and inclusion in the district that it would be really helpful to find ways to have a person that's devoted to restorative practices within each building and trained within our district I love that we have Community Partners um I think that the article funding allowed us to hire new social workers and binary family workers which are crucial supporting our families and our students um but so I guess I want to make sure that those are routine I know that's going to be tricky ones because I um just because we've made a lot of hires I'm not sure that that's serving or really I'm not saying I'm aware of places where um and stories that that illustrate having people who are really focused on lowering the cheese flows for our DNL teachers potentially and

building your storage practices not just relying our our teachers are so um are being trained and are so incredibly talented stickers to be carried out in full really need time and um I'm worried about our ability to follow through our practice as a district without having people that are really devoted to that so that's something that's been on my mind tonight in terms of hiring I know that that's like a tricky thing with our budget is it even though prices Personnel from prices the largest component of the budget and we stretched in those capacity really address the barriers to where we may not be ridiculous thank you Dr Collins Mr Sanderson um well first of all I pretty much agree with everything that I've heard so I don't need to repeat it and I'm actually

looking at the whole budget processing with different perspectives than having the best and one of the things that always that I always concerned me particularly with a rollover budget and I think that it's essentially what happens is are we taking the time to evaluate not only programs that work or not work but are the dollars appropriately allotted are we spending what we plan to spend um and if not can there be some shifts to those other priorities that we might have um student learning is always equitably a big restorative or restorative practices are really important and I agree I remember across being we try to kick off restorative work and it's just really hard unless you have somebody that's really focused on so um class sizes of course is a big thing but also safety

and I know um we cannot get sros in all the buildings especially the elementary because we don't have enough police officers that are certified so I would like security guards in all the elementary schools yeah for safety really safety is the most important thing and I think we need security guards in all the elementary buildings thing okay so we did go around but did anybody else have anything they wanted to add try it that sounds like the legislative action to me well we met with the Department of budget today the small City Schools Board of Directors met with the Department of budget today and gave them our you know our feeling about the foundation formula and where we think this needs to go I mean obviously we were it's not really up to them but

they do crunch the numbers and they do advise the executive branch so we we're facing very understanding of where we are where we are we actually had a gentleman named Bruce Baker do a full evaluation of the foundation Aid formula and make make the recommendations to um to the small cities um because most of these schools about where we really should be in this how this should be a lot so we've submitted that to the Department of budget um and we are going to be sending it to our local um Representatives as well as the executive chamber so we're going to be pushing that out there so hopefully uh most of these kind of old news but we'll make it new news and we never formally adopted my my goals I know that it's I

did like I September 9th I sent it to Mr Spicer and Mr lamb but I never put them on the agenda so I know you all have them now and I'm just going to kind of quickly go over them and um while it's old news a lot of the things that we're going to be presenting haven't happened yet so you know because the presentations are still upcoming um obviously one of my first goal every year is to Monitor and evaluate effectively to communicate with the board our progress our dsip and our funding commitments and I just listed under that the four that really are due this year um continuing support the goals so look at the terminal funds so we're looking at the specific goals our all students will have Chromebook Chromebook and staff will

be trained in instructional technology so that brought that goal is ongoing this year you've seen the the pictures and the students with Chromebooks probably we're going to get close to this goal but I don't see what's going getting to 100 percent um because some some of the some of the problems that we've seen in the distribution and we knew this was coming we knew we would have to figure it out but we're working hard to figure out I know Gary and his team are working hard to figure it out and uh Dr Alberto has been all over this so we're we're pushing it but um we want to make sure we do it right we haven't we I feel we're short run instructional technology coach talked about money and things but I've been meeting with

with Gary about how we could possibly Gary toxic about how we could possibly maneuver some other money around to make that happen I think that we need another person especially at the elementary level are are people down there are getting and running crazy and getting a little bit burned out so we're we're gonna hopefully get to that goal by doing those things and Implement and plan adopted in September 24 2021 on our HVAC needs including installation of air conditioning in all schools that goal is really twice here because that also also goes into gold three which is to present the board with the final plan to move forward implementation of a five-year Capital plan and that plan is the 25th which is today but the which was yesterday exactly I lost the snow day um

that gives a change in our our meeting I couldn't get the players at the table so um our construction management team and our Architects would like to be part of this presentation so we'll be presenting because we're lucky enough to have another board meeting in four days um next next Wednesday or five days next Wednesday so uh we'll be presenting that on February 1st um again always always in there in conjunction with uh Dr Phil cell and Ms bondell the teaching and learning committee providing quarterly updates on student data academic performance and collaboration obviously victim by February we will have provided what was a report on the progress of logistic Communications plan Jess and I and Sandy Coakley have been working on that getting ready for that presentation and um really want to let you

know where we are what are the things if you remember we set certain goals for this year we've got that plan was pretty big so we looked at it as a three-year plan so we're making progress in a lot of those areas I won't be able to show that to you I also obviously coming up on on uh budget season April 18th we'll be presenting both basically responsible comprehensive equity-based balanced budget for your approval and then hopefully for the approval of our community and the last thing speaks to I think one of the things that Mr Lam had is one of his priorities um and I promised this for a few years and I think it's something that is that needs to happen is to give you at least a feasibility I don't say feasibility

study but just give you an idea of what it could look like if we did look to redistrict our our schools obviously we have some schools that are overcrowded some schools that are not so overcrowded we have some we have some some moves that we can make we've been doing the um a look at really our boundaries and actually had Miss blade our transportation directors print out the boundaries for me uh just last week and we're kind of looking at where are some shifts we can make but also we want to make shifts that are not just about streets but also about equity and also about experience and also about diversity in our school buildings so it's multifaceted when we look at how we're going to you know consider redistricting our school our school buildings

and again it's it is um we have the space we're just not we're just not you know we're just not allocating students properly you know right now so we need to keep looking and we also need to be prepared this is something I think is important for us to talk about as a board important for us to talk to the community is we need to be prepared for population shifts within school zones if we're and that's you know the operating capacity in a building should be about 85 you probably all remember me saying this about 12 years ago um and you should have that 15 of flexibility Flex space well some of our schools have 30 of black space and some of our social schools have zero and you know those tools because you've been

through them and you've seen the reading teachers in the halls and you've seen the fake walls and those kind of things that we put up so um we need to we need to get to that 85 and 15. in a large schools if they have that flexibility and if we see it go in a certain way we need to also be able to be nimble enough [Laughter] to make some adjustments and be able to communicate those adjustments and the reasons for such so we are that's what I'll be doing by the end of the year I'll have that for you superintendent's 20 22 23 goals I'm looking at the Nathan any discussion hearing none all those in favor of recruiting the superintendent is 20 22 23 goals please say hi motion is accepted unanimously next

on our agenda are our board reports one quick thing and one second I add just very quickly 12. we're still on we're still people asking about the pool the pool ball are still I don't want to say that we're still on track I'm sorry yeah on our agenda our board reports we have one who have committee report tonight from our facilities chairmanship please uh the facilities that he met via teams on January 18th then that's from December 14th were amended to replace the subheading day automation with energy performance contracts Dylan Bryant was welcomed to the committee as he's recently stepped into the role formally held by Tom Pfeiffer Dylan brings years of experience to share with the committee in terms of updates the smart schools phase one plan for Kansas foreign schools Committee in Albany

progress in District Dr panolina reported that the district has been looking at possible storage facilities that storage in every building in the district is dead premium the board should be hearing more on this topic as it appears they've narrowed the choices down and pretty much foreign thanked sharifa for advocating from the district to hire a painter and suggested that we have traditional worker to the higher Japan over school holidays as so many of the king 's School District facilities need the uplifting freshening that comes with the new coach brought to our attention in December by Mr Gruber will be discussed further by Dr catalino and District administration and more information should be available for the February 8th meeting of the consolidics committee the drafts reported this year's Building Inspections will be reviewed by Dylan bogert

catalino ksqmbdl have met extensively and their suggestions will be presented at the February 1st meeting of the board our next meeting for the facilities committee will be held on teams October 8th at 3 30. foreign [Music] [Laughter] thank you this year next is our consent agenda are there any resolutions any board member would like pulled a step for consideration called but I would like to discuss one of you yeah then I can have a motion to pass the consent agenda second any discussion okay um and cs11 in the spirit of transparency you will see that my daughter Katina office furniture at Jay West Bailey and um I just had to reveal that before we booked thank you then all in favor of approving the consent agenda please say aye oh excuse me was there any

with the senior class advisors as well as the senior class officers um you know they're not in love with the idea of going to Rondo so we kind of brainstormed a few thoughts and ideas so we're going to do a little research um breath myself and and Tina and probably um Dylan Boulevard we're going to do maybe some some other field trips over the next couple of days next three four days yeah it's a difficult situation we don't have there's really not a lot of places in Ulster County that can house are the size of our of our event and we are very used to deep Stadium where we could just open it up to everyone and I think a lot of people from the community who aren't even related to our students like to

come just to be there um so I mean we put five probably close to 5 000 people in that place we include the the graduates for um for graduation so you know we ask the students their priorities you know and some of the priorities were a little I guess so surprising to me one of the first problems that they stay together that we don't break them up into into separate second part is that they that they are able to not not be limited to two with two guests um the other priority was they want to stay on Friday night that Rondo couldn't happen uh one of the things yeah or I'll move to third or Thursday you know we go Thursday but then if you have a rain date and it's a Friday and it

will run out there or they're doing their graduation on Friday so there's a lot of so so they really had um some thoughts and ideas and and and price I mean it's a partnership you know it doesn't mean everything can happen you know it's it's difficult um but we're we're gonna do a little bit more research again looking at a stadium gives everyone a better view than if we're somewhere that's flat and we just bring people in kind of thing you know so that's why we were really taking a football field somewhere other than Deets would be the way to go um but of what the students you know suggested and takes him to look trying to make a couple phone calls to some people in the community who may be able to help us

and then we'll hopefully have a um we we set and with agreement with the with the advisors and the class officers we said about February 15th we need to have a date and we need to have a date and time and where we're going so um that's that's our goal well that would not limit them in number would it it's because that's all brand new it's it's I'd say we probably look very similarly we were to Deets I mean Ron is a big brand new stadium uh you know but parking is always an issue getting students there is an issue you know there's there's a lot of different you know that's gonna be true wherever we go there's still another shoveling the ground which makes me worried that would possibly still be available um but

I don't think that's going to be the case well um and I'd like to thank Rhonda for even entertaining that idea of because immigration they've been gracious to us with our football team and and they were you know we're good neighbors so kind of related on these things um which I guess hasn't really broken down yet and the seats are still there I've looked um in their stands but so we have we have ways so all of our sports that use and advance that use that field so my understanding is so football will have access to other practice fields that are um Turf and Mark and stuff like that what about other sports that say on on Beats like you know we have soccer we use across we have field hockey yeah I mean I

Mr Silverstein kind of gave that presentation a few months it's they're going to be yeah I mean really Chambers is going to be the Hub about turf field opportunities for anyone other oh as far as artificial yes yeah we really we really don't have any and football you know our football practices are probably still going to be where we are on on grass behind Miller um you know our games our home games look like they're going to be at Round out and that's that's a brand new turf field but um yeah as far as the sharing of the of the um practice field behind the school behind behind the field house I mean that would be Federal giving up as it is but we've we've created two new football fields over at Miller and one

football field over at Chambers I believe four practices and which would be on regular regular graphs so I think everyone's pretty much gonna be in the same boat we only have one turf surface in the whole District left right now and that's the the small behind the high school which is only in 80s which is only an 80 yard will be at Rondo Footlocker home game will be would be at least but it won't be it'll be on earth right you'll probably have nowhere Miller you know where they where we play with it you know we actually played home soccer games that most of our home-time games please we used to Let's Play yeah so I think that that's where we'll see a lot of that we'll go over to there for now meeting regarding

the yeah I mean the understanding as far as that meeting after I read through the notes everything is that their plan is that will they will be starting soon and it will be under construction in the spring um and they feel they will be on time so I don't know that's what I have um there is another meeting coming up that I will that I will attend I know I sent Mr Silverstein to this and I was wasn't able to attend but I will attend the next meeting in person so we're so I have much more specifically from the people involved and I can ask the questions that I need to ask activities if there's any trust in any other trust you have any uh matter for old business any trust you have an issue

for new business we come to our public comment session does anyone we should make a public comments are there any board members who have announced today and I have one announcement I would like to let our community know that Wednesday of last week the school board met for a mid-year review of the goals we set for this year we reviewed our progress and in our progress in our oversight of districts for health facilities Improvement promoting equities Community communication board development and monitoring educational outcomes an honest evaluation led us to realistic strategies to continue our work for the next seven months to achieve our goals I want to thank Miss Siri and the boy and Dr patalino for a very productive meeting we have just one reminders of coffee and conversation on February 4th thanks at
