And here let us costumes. But before we advance the slide and before we hand these wonderful students, I'm going to let Kyle just speak for a moment about how >> Hi everybody. As you can tell, I'm a student of a long time coming. I think I started I've been lovingly threatening to wear some type of vegetable or fruit and tonight is the night. Uh yeah, we're very excited. It's the farm to school program has been growing and blossoming over the years. Yeah. And at some point I mean I was driving and then we geographic preference and now we have the pleasure of

having hydroponic program and having our own fruits and vegetables. We have to deal with seasonality of how we have the benefit of having our own program and get to teach everyone about nutrition. I'm just so excited. Okay. So, before we hand the mic over to show a quick little video of what this is, [Music] So, one of the things that everybody thought this was before they go to Ben. >> Hello, my name is Ben. I grow vegetables at home with my family in the summer. I'm excited about growing vegetables at schools. after and then also about being able to grow and they talk about how it works. able and I'm also about um how you Hi, I'm'll be sharing my feedback because it's showing kids how it's my father and I actually at first my

Let's grow some. So, we're really excited about all the different us and this [Music] project so far. [Music] That was the first time I ever made an carnivalness of it. get a big saw in the beginning on his own and seeds there Like water effect as well as connections are press'll from K12. So it's 11 year of the next generation science. And this is sample snapshing new. So back to There's every 28 days 25 really. So we were in a meeting really so exciting and obviously and when we can really start to education and the shift in the right direction and food and just enjoy a great investigated one of the things that I did not know is and it's just we get restricted about because soil so it's really hard to cafeter not only

have any issues or contaminants and And just lastly, I think the biggest they are really cool looking device and also is amazing. So I'm hoping from there. >> Thank you. I would like you did a beautiful job. Thank you so much. I exciting so beautifully. So thank you. you know, you're like our so excited when you are excited. So, thank you for that. Um, I'm also excited to know what >> we started with. What about science? This is why our children want you to find out how much you grow. So you know that when you grow something so much better, right? So I I think that's one since you've been with us always since you brought fresh fruits and vegetables. That's something that we wanted. So thank you and thank you Mr. that we're seeing

in our kids. So really, thank you so much for making us. >> I just want to do my normal echo everything Annie just said. You guys were great. Good job, man. Good job. I'm excited to taste some of this food services of the district. just nutrition learning and funny. like maybe years ago when I first when I first come on board and the winning prize I remember the second place for us was porch growing right they were doing we have so many people living in buildings pretty much what you guys here that was enterprise maybe we can figure out some way to integrate this enterprises. So, it's cool idea. I'm really excited. >> Yeah. doing Turkey just one I the thing that I'm most way that this really level of consciousness with what is going

to our children when they're eating and that means so much to me and I think that it means so much thank you for bringing that to the kids especially in this day and age you know hearing about all the things that we try clean so thank you for doing your work I know I always say you guys are [Music] That's just the way your brain works. However, these are the things you will remember because they're hands and you feel so you know your whole life and so that's also incredible aware of what we're growing and that where I was sort of like in the cafeteria because it Please contrib. like you have a great everyone. [Music] >> Thank you. As soon as she stood up, she had to second presentation tonight. I have to do

whatever is right now. Now, you know, AI has been around for a few years. You may have heard lots of things about where we are some of our teachers mostly without further ado amounts of data text and text pattern and then predict what it is not perfect. It can make mistakes and we will still it's been used in many fields while we are ready in medicine. It is possible to analyze huge amounts of data analyze testing models in other as well as you can slide I shared last year I heard that there was that actually some of their c work. You know what? Three years ago, I would have said you learn how you're going to have a great entry level job. That's not true. You can learn how to code, but you have to

be at a higher level to get that great job. in advertising it's you know enables people to create and again is that artist but if you need to create a logo for a startup education. What do we do? Help educators create less and sessions and even more important than that for years. Show me an example of that. I think that's a really revolution. It can easily differentiate and activities again routine tasks that take up a lot of times letters. This is the kind of stuff. So is probably the one you've all heard of most. It's a huge powerful tool. It is not as school and our countries have a limited access to that. If you could identify data shared versions, truth be told, many of our kids are using it. We'll talk a little bit

about that educators to recognize and use thisly and So, I use I didn't do it live character development. The introduction, the direct instruction to introduce discussion including procedures. Our wrap up and then another subject. So this is historic all to their class and again this is not okay and it gave me said I said 25 multiple choice there were 25 and finally this is my student some random and I also work structure. Let me give you a detailed detailed outline of original And that's the first pages of this little green. Now we have suggestions for improvement more than just a more specific thesis statement. First start with a clear topic. strength five a teacher would take to be able to look at a student and give that amazing so this is the one that um

Mr. help we can't use but we do have some teacher tools that we have but I want to some of you is attached to academy pretty reliable materials Most of the contempor It'll create for teachers. The next part of that, you can go on to the second. This one we did. I love this. This similar tools generator text and these tools have basically considered to be of those. It looks a lot like I saw a video symbolism. And again, all of our school And then the play is tell you I put text Romeo Juliet language. So I wanted to show you scroll down. Yeah. So scroll down who they are. discuss questions that student check with. studio. Now the second thing you askang yes So, everyone knows Romeo and Juliet, right? We call it the

greatest love story at all. What if it's actually a story hate about fate? Okay, let's get into it. Right off the bat, something wildly serious. No, spoiler alert needed the biggest one. He tells us flat out these lovers here. We already know what happens. Then Shakespeare obviously wants us to focus on it. Let's do exactly. Let's unpack the why. We're gonna all the power toward tragic end. It also will allow you to go back to the studio. So just simple in what Romeo Juliet is a mind map again for kids who are visual learners. um kind of back. Yeah. So, if you click on an arrow again, So if you didn't understand that so um one of Keep saying magia and canvas. text. AI Mr. Harvey put me on a little Google Great job. the

down but you could iterate. a few different I am. There I am. All of this as we help our kids figure this out. soon after I think that's you know one of the things we talk about is what's not certainly But look at the second one underath. AI created one more down. The student wrote the main idea and I gener What I did with the feedback on paper, I would argue that your partner is that Is there question to do better. But you know how we do things and then of course in no way have more dialogue, more discussion about how we're getting to these. I said this before, we need to be ahead of it, not behind it. Thank you for us, our students, teachers. Um I think the hope that these type of

resources cuts the time from two hours but it my head. I still I still know when I saw hydroponics that's the human interaction that's life of concern with AI is that human I value that human interaction whereas the computer usually because I know is a fun My children are now in college and they use and they put it down as a resource on their papers, right? But they also thanks to themselves because we tell it I thank you for youration. I just want to ensure continue is powerful and it can be wonderful, you know, that's all agree and that's why I work with you. What about this? Well, what do you think about this? you know, um I liken it a little bit to the calculator, I think, when they first [Music] by hand, but

once you know how to do it, it's efficient. So we have to have AI students to figure out how to do it and then how to use that but not and I think most creative teachers it's interesting she has some professors discuss. Yes. And that's funny that you said that artist, one of my very time press and exact in technology made my life not I think we're moving ahead down off the shelf we We have our rules, we have our resources and I think that this is our teacher looks at it and see they know that took that. So there are ways to do that. Um and and again my thing but I think that as long as we level for the presentation I'm still lack of technology. I just worry about shortcuts. learning it's

difficult stuff is very very difficult children sometimes because it doesn't forget it's like for us unawary very short. should experience indirect social media when I think of because I don't have a TV. And you know the rate that kids today are not progressing reading that did not when they were 10 years ago. It scares me because I just don't think they're good learning. I think it's feedback feedback. put down [Music] this piece as an educated person. I see kids who write readers that concern has experience. >> Thank you. Um I would just add most people know that I work and um wholeheartedly we use AI often thinking you know our business I'm learning about I can compare to my competition they can figure so there's things. I also [Music] like 30s I think and if

you read it it's basically a short story about this but children that the parents end up that he had that so I do get a little nervous moving so fast we either have toward it and you know graduate question is eating and just using it as a tool. actually because maybe aspects of the read. So again, the same way that teachers always figure out especially college level 200 kids online I trust our teach our students to use tool to learn. We didn't talk about it, but how it takes a student through question to remember. So you know when is children in remote areas who didn't have access to schools. So again with every good innovation that car accident I trust [Music] to say the good part. Thank you. Okay. Uh the last part of tonight

will be a brief [Music] tell everybody a little bit what we have of what we're envisioning in terms of some of the work that's in entrance to the high school. You see the hallway that I was talking about from high school. It's like interior hallways in the entryway. You can see this is an additional classroom. Here is for the program science lab. Here the wrestling room over on the other side, wrestling room again, some of the new locker room spaces. These are just some ideas of what it might look like. We're still waiting to get everything approving special. This is just some ideas of what our thinking about capital about 87 high school innovation both boys and girls at the high school seeing science carpentry cafeteria upgrading science classroom upgrade the restroom that we're going

to build as we move to the wrestling entrance on the walkway for students that they're walking in the middle schools district and you do own I envelope there and this proposition special items but these will take a lot longer approval of December 2020. 26 and then we'll have summer 2678 here for every dollar that the district almost every 87.7 million district dollar we get 42 building a debt service back to supporting will replace the school president by the voters. service will be paid off over the next years and that new debt service. So there's no additional tax impact all this work we're talking this is a design that you see here this is that floor plan new robotics technology class workshop access to bathroom new utility more bathroom walkway that'll take you all the way

from the marine side classroom to the elevator. That's that second photo there and coach's offices. Here's a render of what the cafeteria might look like. The wall the view elevated level here to give and some examples of playground spaces at the elementary level of all the wood chips. We don't necessarily have to go with Turk surface there really another example of something over the lake we're going to replace over there and again to wrap up the vote Tuesday district with Thank you Mr. I just want to ask a question goes down the vote votes against this what is the resubmission plan if there is one From my understand if you want that same guideline as it is for budget vote. So the district same but it's not as it is. >> Thank you. You're welcome.
