001Okay, good evening everybody. Welcome to our April 25th, 28th Board of Education regular scheduled meeting. We can stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Okay, good evening everybody and thank you to all of our attendees. Um So, we'll call to order our session of the evening. It's a a short agenda. Uh we have our personnel, so there's a resolution to approve the personnel schedule. So, hopefully everyone had a chance to look at the personnel schedule and I'll pause for a moment if um our board members had any questions. Otherwise, if there aren't any questions, can I have a motion to approve? Second? All in favor?
002Okay, the personnel agenda is approved. And then tonight we actually have our BOCES um administrative budget for 2026-2027 school year. Um and so, I'm going to read out the um statement for awareness for the board and for the public. So, the Board of Education um for the Cooperative Educational Services Nassau County for BOCES has proposed and presented its proposed administrative operations budget for 26-27 school year. Um and those dates are from July 1st, 2026 through June 30th, 2027. So, let it be resolved that the Nassau BOCES proposed administrative budget for 26-27 school year is $28,633,061. Look at that, Gerard. That is a nice number. Um I'd like to ask for um if there is a um all actually all in favor uh cast your vote. Anyone opposed? Okay, that is three. Um as it relates
003to the election of members of the Board of Education. Um there are actually three seats that are available for Nassau BOCES. As a reminder, each seat carries a term of 3 years beginning July 1st, 2026. There are four candidates running for three available seats. Those candidates are Deborah Coates, Lawrence Greenstein, Douglas Pascarella, and Genie Desposito. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be appointed. And so now I will ask the Board of Education for the Manhasset School District to cast their votes, and I'm actually going to read them one by one and ask for my fellow colleagues and trustees to cast their vote for their candidate. So for the candidate um actually Deborah Coates, um can I have a vote? That's three. Uh for Lawrence Greenstein, do I have a vote? That
004is three. For Douglas Pascarella, that is zero. And then Genie Desposito, and that is three. So with that, as I had mentioned, we actually had a short agenda. Um do I have a motion to adjourn? Do I have a second? Okay, thank you guys for that short and efficient meeting for tonight's Board of Ed.
